Chapter 14
Kira
My eyes opened and i stared into the almost dark room, the only light coming from a window that was on the other side of the room. I tried to lift my arms to wipe the sleep from my eyes, but they didn't come into my line of sight. I looked down to see that they were tied up. 'What the hell?!' I thought as I tried to move them again. I could move them an inch or two before they ran out of rope. I tugged at it, but it wouldn't stretch, so I started to twist and turn my wrist, then pull up again, each time harder than the last. 'What happened?' I asked myself. '
"Where am I?" My voice was full of fear; my breathing had grown faster as I saw blood run down my wrist. There was a loud screeching of a metal door dragging against the ground as it opened, and my head whipped around to stare at the new source of light. Standing there was a black figure. Its arm moved to the wall as it flicked a light-switch, filling the room with light. I stared at the man in the doorway, still not able to see him well.
"What the hell do you want?" I yelled at him.
3rd Person
Roy paced back and forth. "We should go look for him," he said, starting for the door.
"Yeah. Where should we start looking?" Ed asked as he put his shoes on.
"I don't know." Roy answered as he slipped his jacket on, then left the house with Ed behind him.
"Split up?" Ed asked as they reached the sidewalk. Roy nodded in response and started for the house where both he and Kira had used to live. He stopped walking and looked back at Ed. "Meet up here after three hours, 'kay?"
"We'll see!" Ed called as he ran off in the opposite direction. Roy quickly went off on his own search.
Kira
The man walked closer and I saw his face; he was grinning a me. "What the hell!" I yelled, shocked.
"That's no way to talk to someone who helps you," he said with a frown.
"You kidnapped me." I said stiffly.
"Yes, so I did, didn't I?" He acknowledged with a not.
'Why him? LIke come on, this is a new low,' I thought as I just stared at the man.
"You asked what I wanted. Well, I want two things. First, I just want to have some fun." He spoke with a slight chuckle in his voice.
"Why did you tie me up?" I asked blankly.
"Because you would have run away if I didn't, and I can't have that, now can I?"
'Well he's cuckoo in the head,' I thought. "You could have just asked me to come with you, stupid. Like, come on, my wrists are bleeding because of you," I said, lifting up the wrist that he could see. "Can you untie me now?"
"Soon, soon. The other thing is that I have to tell you something."
"Can't you jest tell me the next time I go to the hospital?" I asked.
"No, there are too many people there," he stated firmly.
"Well, UNTIE ME NOW YOU DUMB DOCTOR! REALLY, YOU KIDNAP ME AND TIE ME UP JUST SO YOU CAN TELL ME SOMETHING?!" I yelled at my doctor.
"No. I wanted to show you this," he said, gesturing to a random blue door with a golden pattern on it. The door was just there, not even in a wall. It was just there as a random-ass door in the middle of the room. Just standing there doing nothing.
I looked at Doc Flambow with a carefully blank face. "How did I not see that?"
He shrugged. "I don't know." Then he walked over to me and cut my arms and legs free. Instantly, I shot up and punched his face.
"WHAT THE HELL?! YOU KIDNAP ME TO SHOW ME A FUCKING DOOR?!" I yelled as flambow fell backwards onto the ground with a groan.
"Not just any door, a nice door," He said as he sat up, too lazy to get off the ground.
I shook my head. "What did you want to tell me, stupid?" I asked as my face twitched. "Is it about how nice that door looks?"
Flambow looked at me seriously. "You and your brother are in danger." He got up off the ground and walked over to me, his eyes saying that he wasn't joking around.
I gulped. "How so?" I asked carefully.
"I don't really know. I just know you are, and that little friend of yours too. You know, he came with you yesterday."
"You mean Ed?" I asked.
"Yeah. Anyways, that's all I need to tell you." He turned and walked out of the room. I stared at him, and then followed him out of the room, frowning when I saw where I was. It was a little shed in the backyard of an old house not too far from where I'd been kidnapped. I frowned and started for the other side of the house to the road, then back home.
3rd Person
Roy was walking up the road, thinking he should turn back soon, when he saw a figure in the distance. He stopped and watched as it got closer, letting out a sigh of relief when he saw it was Kira. "Hey, where have you been?!" he called, waving his hand. Kira looked up with a grin.
"Hey!" He called as he ran up to Roy.
Roy frowned when he saw Kira's bloody wrists. "What happened?" he asked.
Kira looked up at him calmly. "Nothing."
"Something happened," Roy argued.
"I'm fine, so what does it matter?" Kira asked.
"You're bleeding. That's why it matters."
Kira
"Che." I said as I started walking home. 'i don't want to tell them. I know I should, but I really don't want to. Anyways, Flambow could've been pulling my leg.' But I knew he wasn't- those eyes were proof that he wasn't joking around.
"What happened?" Roy asked again.
"Che." 'I'm not going to answer.' Roy continued asking the entire way home, with me saying 'che,' not wanting to tell him what Flambow had told me but knowing I should.
"CHE!" I said annoyed as we walked into the house
"You're home. Took you long enough." Ed said, walking out of the living room into the hallway. He looked me up and down to see if I was hurt. "You're bleeding. Come, come." He said, walking off to the kitchen.
"Why?" I asked. As I said this, Roy looked at me.
"And he speaks." roy said as he trow his arm's up.
"Che" was my reply to him. 'Hehe, this is fun,' I thought.
Ed stopped walking and looked back at us. With a straight face he said "Don't ask questions." His voice was plain and emotionless. He turned back to the kitchen with me following. He wrapped my wrists, and to my surprise, my ankles too.
"Well, it's been a long day. I'm going to sleep," I announced as I walked up the stairs and to my room. I sat on my bed and took my journal out of my back pocket, opening it to a new page and grabbing a pencil.
~I don't know what's going on; Flambow said we're in trouble, but from what? Why? How does he know? I don't know what's going on, and it scares me. On a good note, Roy figured it out. He knows that I'm his brother, but what he remembered, I can only imagine. He said it was Mother's older brother; I didn't even know she had a brother. Watching that happen, watching your uncle kill your mother and father, I can only imagine how scared Roy must have been to watch that. I only know part of it, that they are dead and it was my uncle I didn't even know I had who did it. It must be horrible.
Flambow is so weird. He kidnapped me today to tell me that I was in danger and to look at a door. It was a nice blue one with a gold leafy pattern around the edges. I don't know why, but maybe it was a clue. Or maybe it's just him being weird again. But something like that- kidnapping me just for that. It was blue, like the sky or the ocean. We're in danger...Does the door mean anything? I don't know. I'm just going to stop thinking about it for now.~
As Kira finished writing, he closed the book and put it down before going to sleep, quickly sinking into the dark oblivion.
End of Chapter 14.
