Chapter 14
When I woke up the next day, I noticed that Jeremy wasn't here, but he left a note explaining that he would be gone for the day getting equipment. I quickly showered and wore my favorite outfit for the day which included jeans with rhinestones and a black blouse. I was heading to the old mansion today to give Liam his daylight ring, and help him adjust to getting back into society. What made me mad was that no one else really wanted to help Liam, they said it's because he's too uncontrollable right now, but how else is he suppose to learn to control his urges, he won't be able to do it by himself.
"Hey Liam" I said as I entered the mansion to once again finding Liam in the darkest corner of the living room.
"Here I brought you another blood bag" I said throwing the bag to him, which he quickly took and drank it completely dry.
"Thanks Amelia" Liam said wiping his mouth of the blood.
"I got good news Liam" I said trying to contain my excitement.
"What" he asked curiously.
"Well to start off, we found ourselves a 7th member" I said.
"Really who" he asked surprised.
"His name is Evan James, but the thing is he's not an ordinary halfa, he's also a witch too" I explained.
"How's that possible" Liam asked shocked at what I said.
"Apparently his mother was a witch when she met his father, so not only does he have vampire abilities, but witch abilities as well" I explained.
"Well this is certainly a strange coincidence" Liam said.
I smiled at Liam and said "Well to prove to us he was trustworthy he made you this."
I took the ring out of my pocket and showed it to him.
"Is that what I think it is" Liam said in disbelief.
"A ring that lets a vampire walk in daylight than yes it is" I said in a teasing manner.
Liam took the ring and put it on his middle right finger.
"Pull the curtains away, I want to test this thing out" Liam said slowly getting up from the ground.
I quickly pulled the curtains the back letting in the sunlight. Liam took a heavy breathe and then walked out of the shadows. As soon as he was in the sunlight, nothing happened he wasn't burning or catching on fire.
"It worked" Liam said happily.
I smiled and went over and hugged him as tightly as I could. He did the same, but spinned me around as well causing both of us to laugh.
"You can let go now Liam, your kind of crushing me" I said as his hug was starting to hurt more and more.
He immediately let go and looked at me apologetic, "Sorry about that Amelia, I guess I don't know my own strength."
I chuckled a little and said "It's fine Liam, your still getting use to being a vampire."
After that we fell into an awkward silence as we both realized that he couldn't stay in here forever, and that he had to go outside eventually.
"You ok Liam" I asked worried as I noticed his face fell into despair.
Liam shook his head and said "No I'm not; I don't think I'll ever be ready to go out in public, what if I lose control.
"Liam I know it's going to be difficult, but you can't hide in the shadows forever, I think it's better that the sooner you face the real world the sooner you can control the bloodlust. I promise I'm going to help you and be there for you every step of the way."
"I'm afraid that if I drink blood straight from the human vein, I won't be able to stop" Liam admitted.
"It's ok to be afraid Liam, that's something you taught me when I first discovered that I truly was a halfa, and you also taught me that learning to accept what you are is one of the first steps in controlling your powers."
"Do you honestly think I'll be able to one day control the bloodlust" Liam asked.
I nodded and said "Of course I do, but it takes time and practice in order to have better control, and I'll be with you every step of the way.
"Thank you Amelia" Liam said with a soft smile.
"It's no problem Liam, now let's go outside together" I said holding out my hand to him.
Liam sighed and put his hand in mine as we walked outside in the sunlight together.
Normal POV
Jordan and Emma were currently at Mystic Grill on a date trying to rekindle the spark in their relationship.
"Jordan please just tell me what is going, is it something that I've done" Emma asked giving him a pleading look.
Jordan shook his head and said "No it's nothing that you've done."
Jordan sighed knowing he couldn't tell Emma about the kiss with Amelia, he knew how heartbroken she would be.
"Please just tell me what is wrong" Emma pleaded with Jordan.
Before Jordan could answer he saw out of the corner of his eye Amelia was holding hands with pain stricken Liam.
"What the hell is she doing" Jordan asked himself angrily as he got up from the seat.
"Who" Emma asked as she got up to look out the window. That's when she saw Amelia with Liam.
"Don't you remember that Evan made a daylight ring for Liam, Amelia's probably just helping him readjust to society" Emma explained.
"Liam's still a newborn vampire, he's going to end up hurting someone if he's out there, especially Amelia" Jordan said.
"Liam where are you going" Emma said trying to keep her voice calm so that they don't make a scene.
"I'm going to go follow them to make sure nothing happens" Liam said walking to the door.
"Liam Please" Emma begged, but it still didn't stop him, leaving Emma devastated.
Amelia's POV
"You feeling alright Liam" I asked worried as I noticed the pain expression on his face.
"Well I can smell everyone's blood, and I can hear what people are saying about me" he said.
I gave his hand a squeeze and said "Try not to focus on anyone else, just focus on the sound of my voice."
"AMELIA" a familiar voice called out to me.
Liam and I both turned around to see Jordan running towards us.
"What the hell are you doing" he asked angrily.
I looked around and saw too many people around us, so I led both Liam and Jordan deep in the alley way.
"Ok now that we're away from people, I can tell you that I'm trying to help Liam to control his urges in front of other people" I said.
"Isn't that dangerous" Jordan said.
I rolled my eyes and said "Well how else are we suppose to help him, we can't keep him locked up in the mansion.
"Well well it looks like Liam is back in town" a voice called out.
We all turned around to see a teenage boy with brown hair wearing a leather jacket over his white shirt with jeans.
"What the hell do you want Dan" Liam asked angry.
"Calm down Liam" I warned him in a low voice.
"You skipped town before we could have our fight, I guess everyone was right you are just a chicken" he said teasingly.
"I am not a chicken, I was out of town for an emergency" Liam said clenching his teeth.
The kid named Dan just scoffed and said "What kind of emergency, it's not like you have any family left alive.
Suddenly I felt a rush of wind go by me, and when I looked over Liam was chocking the kid while drinking his blood.
"LIAM STOP" I said running over to him trying to pull him off of him.
Liam didn't appear to hear me, so I screamed much louder. Suddenly Jordan used his energy to blast Liam off of him.
I looked over at Liam and was shocked to see his red eyes and veins, but I just ignored him while I went over to the boy. He had a bite mark from Liam biting him, but thankfully he still had a pulse.
"I'm so sorry Amelia" Liam said teary eyed.
"I told you someone would end up getting hurt" Jordan said.
"Look can you heal him Liam" I asked pleadingly.
"How do I do that" Liam asked.
"Jeremy said if you feed humans vampire blood than their injuries will heal right away, and then if you want to compel them than you look at them straight in the eyes and make them do whatever you want them to do" I explained.
Liam looked at me skeptical, but he ended up biting into his own arm drawing blood, and bringing it up to Dan's mouth. Thankfully Dan ended up sucking up Liam's blood and his injuries were healed.
"What the hell are you" Dan asked scared as soon as he regained conscious.
Liam took a deep breath and made eye contact with Dan and said "You will forget everything that happened here, you will go straight home and go on with your life.
Dan blinked a couple of times, but thankfully did as he was told. I let out a sigh of relief.
Jeremy's POV
I got home around seven that night after picking up all my vampire supplies. When I entered the house I saw Amelia watching television in the living room.
"What took you saw long to get home Jeremy" She asked.
I shrugged and said "I had to pick up a lot of supplies, vampire weapons requires a lot of stuff."
"So how was Liam today" I asked when I noticed her troubled look.
Amelia sighed and said "Horrible he ended up losing control, but thankfully he was able to heal the kid and compel him to forget."
"It's going to take some time before he can really control his urges, when my sister turned she had a difficult time controlling herself, but she eventually gained control and I know Liam will too with you helping him" I said.
Amelia smiled and said "Thanks Jeremy it really means a lot."
"You're welcome, now I'm going to go upstairs and store the weapons somewhere safe" I said.
When I got to the second floor I went to the end of the hallway, and went in the spare room that I've turned into my own personal vampire hunting room. I stocked up the weapons, and then went over to the dresser and took out a container of vervain and dranked it.
Evan may think he won one on me, but he has no idea that I've been drinking vervain since my teenage years. I'll let him believe that he can compel me, and then when the time comes I'll kill him.
Amelia's POV
As I was watching T.V. I heard the door bell ring. I got up and opened the door and was surprised to see Jordan standing there.
"What do you want" I asked a little rude.
"I just wanted to make sure you were ok" Jordan asked sincerely.
I sighed and said "Well thank you for helping with Liam earlier, but I just don't want to keep him locked up in the mansion forever.
"I understand what you mean, I just don't want to see you get hurt" he said a little nervously.
"Why do you care so much" I finally asked the question that has been bugging me for a while.
Jordan suddenly kissed me and before I knew it I was kissing him back. I knew I shouldn't be doing this, I mean he was dating Emma, but at the same time I didn't care all I wanted to do was kiss and never let him go.
When he finally released us from the kiss, I was shocked by who was standing behind on my porch. Jordan noticed my expression and turned around was also shocked to see a very confused Evan.

Well there's chapter 14 and I hoped everyone liked it. Sorry I haven't been able to update in a while, the holidays were a bite tough, but don't worry I'm back now. Next chapter will have a time jump after the beginning scene of the next chapter. So please continue to read and review.
