Alright guys, I know, I know. I am absolutely the worst author EVER for not updating this since February. But school is over now, so that means, new chapters! I actually have the last chapter and the epilogue written, but before I post those, I have to get all these other chapters written. And thank you guys for writing reviews that are telling me to get my stupid little author butt into gear, because it actually shows that you care, and that makes me feel all happy inside, so, thank you for your patience and your increased support of my work. I really love you guys.
Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson, nor any of the characters of that series whereof.
Percy decided to first swing the first blow, so he could get a feel for his enemy. He took a wide swing at all the cheerleaders with Riptide. As he expected, all of the empousae struck at him simultaneously in return. He swung again, quickly, causing a little damage, but not enough to kill any of them. Then they did something he did not expect. As one of them sprung at him quickly, another shot behind him and grabbed him by the neck. Startled, he swung back and stabbed her in the head, but didn't recover quickly enough to swing at the other two empousae who were charging at him. He was thrown across the room. By the time he started to get up, they were practically on top of him. so he stayed low and swung Riptide around swiftly and hit them both deeply in their trunks. They exploded into golden dust two seconds later.
He got up breathing very hard and moved to the exit, where he saw a man in the doorway. Aw crap, he thought, here we go again. But then he saw that the man was holding a rod, with two snakes wrapped around it. The Caduceus. "Hermes?" Percy said, "What are you doing here?"
"Listen, kid. I that you done quite a few favors for me in these past few years, and honestly, I kinda like you, you're a great kid. So, when I saw that you were in trouble, I figured the least I could do was give you a little help. It seems that right now, you need a little assistance from the God of Thieves."
Percy may not have been an Athena kid, but he wasn't stupid. "Uh huh. What's the catch?"
"Catch? What catch?" Hermes said in the guiltiest way possible. All it took was a look from Percy to make him spill. "Okay, just one more little favor. While your in the Underworld I need you to bring me a few pomegranates from Elysium for a delivery that I have to make."
"Really, that's it?"
"That's it."
"Fine, it's a deal."
They shook on it.
"Now, Mr. God of Thieves, show me how to steal the Hope Diamond."
Okay. I need to think this next part out a little bit, but I PROMISE that I won't keep you waiting for four months this time. Keep reading and reviewing my lovelies.
