Chapter 14

Jake swung his sheathed sword towards Robin the boy wonder parried the sword strike with his staff sweeping his staff low at Jake's legs Jake flipped back avoiding the blow his back to the mast

Jake leapt up grabbing onto the long arm with his legs he spun around the long arm dropping down behind Robin tapping his back with the sword

"Sorry Rob looks like I win" Jake felt something under his arm looking to see Robins staff tapping his armpit "more likely a tie" Robin says Jake and Robin steps away putting away their weapons

Jake and Robin shook hands "that was a good spar it feels nice to be back on a ship again" Jake said Robin nodded about to say something but closed his mouth his eyes narrowed focus on something behind Jake

"What's up Rob" Jake turned around to look and frowned putting a hand on the handle of his sword in the sky green smoke was in the air

Jake ran to the helm of the T-ship pushing the button mechanical gears inside the ship sprung to life the sails unfurled the anchor raised and the ship began to move by Jakes command away from the island

"get the others I'm heading ahead" Jake said Robin nodded leaping onto the island as the ship began to pick up speed "god help us all from the storm that's coming"

In his office the mayor of Jump City sat behind his desk filling out paperwork just as he signed his signature at the bottom of a form red orange light shone from under the door before it exploded in a ball of fire

Kane stepped through the fire coming off him like sweat Kane grinned "may I help you" the mayor asked calmly putting his pen down on the desk

As Kane grinned sparks flew over his face giving him a demonic look to

"Pretty simple your honor this city belongs to me now and wha'ts going to happen is you're going to get down on your knees and kiss my boots and maybe I won't burn you too badly"

The mayor nodded "I see"

The T-ship sailed reached the harbor and the source of the green smoke a black galleon two stories high in the water black with blood red railings men stormed from the ship by the hundreds from long boats and raiding the city

Jake frowned seeing the Jolly Roger three rows of horizontal skulls stacked on top of each other over two intercrossed cutlasses "I knew it"

Jake let the anchor drop and leapt over the side of the ship and into the water swimming through the ocean towards the other ship quickly climbing up the side into a porthole

Jake climbed inside just as a pirate walked by before he could sound the alarm Jake unsheathed his sword cutting him across the stomach then kneeing him in the face

Jake continued on his way unaware that someone else was following him Jake ran through the ship eventually reaching the top deck

The door closed behind him an arrow was pointed at the back of his head "try anything and you'll be captain shish kebab" Archer said kicking him in the back "move it"

Jake complied for now keeping a hand close to his sword surrounding him were dozen of pirates each armed with weapons of various era's but they all had tattoos of the ships jolly roger somewhere on their bodies

"Ar harharhar well done Archer" the captain said the crew parted like the red sea and he stepped forward

He was a hulking man easily seven foot tall and all muscle two broad swords on his belt he wore white pants and ankle length boots bare chested with a red captains coat over his hairy chest a black beard went down to his neck merging with his shaggy black hair

"Captain Blackbeard" Jake said "master of the east sea conqueror of the fanged peaks I call parley do you accept"

"very well you'll have your parley for now" Blackbeard said "let him up archer" the archer unnotched his arrow putting it back in his quiver

Blackbeard looked down as Jake stood up "Captain Blackbeard I humbly ask that you comply with the Neversea Accord and return your ship and crew to Never Land"

Blackbeard laughed "Ar harharhar you think you can command me you may be able to scare the weaklings and are a follower of Pan but I" Blackbeard drew his swords swinging them against the deck shockwaves flew through the air sending his crewmates flying

"am much stronger" Blackbeard looked to Archer "put an end to this dog then I'll personally go and raze the city to the ground"

White discs flew through the air Blackbeard parried them with his sword looking to where the discs came from he saw Barn Owl kneeling on the longarm

"If you're so tough try putting him down yourself" the thief leapt down landing on the deck "you'll have to do it yourself since my girlfriend has a score to settle with archer boy"

"What the devil are you talking about" Blackbeard asked before a wave of pink energy hit Archer knocking him to the side Archer looked up and paled "shit" he cursed

Jynx was walking towards him her eyes glowing pink with rage "did you really think you were going to get away with it" Jynx said

"it wasn't personal just business" Archer said notching an arrow "you'd think a mercenary would get that"

Jynx growled hitting him with another pink energy blast theat snapped his bowstring

"Killing your teammates is where I drew the line now I'm going to send you to join them you money worshipping traitor"

"Pretty simple your honor this city belongs to me now and wha'ts going to happen is you're going to get down on your knees and kiss my boots and maybe I won't burn you too badly"

The mayor nodded "I see" said standing up moving faster then Kane could see he hit him in the face with a devastating axe kick

"I think it's time Kane you learned" kicking Kane into the wall "the meaning of pain"
