Life with Northelyn
Little Northelyn Parker was a week old and was adored by everyone, and was as cute as a button
"Okay Northelyn your bottle coming" Drake says as he heats her up a bottle
Northelyn was still crying her head off while her daddy fixed her meal
"Just a few more seconds' sweetie and then you can eat" he says looking at the microwave
"Daddy, why does Northelyn have to be loud?" Ruby asks holding her ears
"Cause she is hungry and I need to feed her" he says guiding the nipple to her mouth so Northelyn could eat
Once Northelyn had her bottle she was contented for the moment
"There we go all better" he says when Northelyn started sucking on the bottle
Drake walked around downstairs while he fed her
"Eat up sweetie later we will go over and visit Uncle Josh and aunt Mindy so they can see you and get practice holding you" he says talking to her as he feeds her
After he fed and changed her he grabbed Ruby and headed over to Josh's place
(Josh's place)
"Hi Drake come on in Hi munchkin" Josh says scooping Ruby up
"Hi Uncle Josh" she says giving him a big hug
"Is that little Northelyn?" Josh asks Drake
"Yes it is say hello to little Northelyn Star Parker you're new niece" Drake says getting Northelyn out of her car seat
"Drake she is adorable" Josh says when he holds Northelyn for the first time
"Hey what about me" Ruby says interjecting
"You're cute too Ruby" Josh says touching her nose and making her giggle
"Josh is Drake here?" Mindy calls from the master
"Yes so is Ruby and Northelyn" Josh calls back
Mindy comes out with her belly leading the way
"Holy cow Mindy you're that big already" Drake says when he sees her
"Yes when we went for our ultrasound last month we found out that we were having triplets two boys and a girl" Mindy says when she sees Northelyn
"Drake I need help with the nurseries do you mind?" Josh asks him
'Sure I don't mind Mindy do you mind watching the girls?" Drake asks her
"No I don't mind besides I need the practice watching one and holding one anyways" she says when Josh hands her little Northelyn
Josh and Drake disappear to the boy's room since the girl room was finished and complete
"Hi Northelyn I'm your aunt Mindy sorry we weren't there to see you when you were born we were visiting my folks" she says to the baby
Mindy stroked Northelyn's thumb as the baby slept in her arms
"Daddy we had a bad dream" two little girl's says appearing in the door way to their little brother's room
"It' okay sweetie's you wanna go out to the living room and meet your cousin?" Josh asks them
They nods
"Josh, where did the little girl's come from?" Drake asks him
"Me and Mindy are foster parents right now, and we are looking into adopting the both of them" Josh tells him
"Daddy who is that?" they ask with a sniffle
"This is your Uncle Drake he has a little girl two years older than you two are. Would you like to meet her?" Josh asks her
The little girl's nods
"Come on then" he tells them guiding them out to meet Ruby
"Ruby meet your soon-to-be cousins" Josh say introducing the two girls to her
"What are their names Uncle Josh?" Ruby asks him
"Brooklyn and Nevada" he tells her
"Hi I'm Ruby it's nice to meet you" Ruby says introducing herself to her cousins
Brooklyn and Nevada were shy around her, so Josh took them back to their rooms
"How did Brooklyn and Nevada end up here?" Drake asks taking Northelyn from Mindy so she could get up
"There's a long story behind that I don't wanna share with you with Ruby in the room" Mindy says
Drake understands completely
"Drake, do you mind if I get practice changing a diaper?' she asks him
"No I don't mind I'll take her to the other room, and lay her down" he says taking Northelyn to the little girl nursery
Ruby was by herself coloring a picture, and singing to herself
"Drake, when did Ruby learn how to sing?" Josh asks him
"I don't know" Drake says going into the living room
Drake, Josh, and Mindy watch as Ruby sang her heart out
"Ruby that was beautiful" Josh says clapping
"Thank you Uncle Josh" she says happily
The Parkers stood a few more minutes before going home, so Northelyn could go down for her nap
"Ruby we have to be quiet, so zip your lips and play quietly while Northelyn sleeps" he says after leaving Northelyn's nursery
Ruby nods and zips her lips and goes to the playroom to play while Drake heads to the studio in the basement to record some more songs
(That night)
"Okay Northelyn tonight daddy is going to give you your first bath in your bathtub" he says carrying her to the bathroom in her cute little robe
Drake gave her a sponge bath, and she loved it
"There we go all clean and ready for bed" he says drying her off and taking her back to the nursery to get ready for bed
After Northelyn was bathed he gave Ruby her bath, and gave Ruby her bedtime snack
"Ruby it's time for bed you got preschool tomorrow" he says as he feeds Northelyn her bottle
"Okay daddy" she says going to the bathroom to brush her teeth and go to bed
Drake read her bedtime story and tucked her for the night
"Night Ruby I love you" he says closing the door to her room
"Night daddy, night Northelyn" Ruby says closing her pretty eyes
"Time for bed for you too Miss Northelyn" he tells the baby that was in his arms
Northelyn just stretches
Drake lays her in her bassinet and covers her up, and goes to bed himself
