OMG! I'm soooo sorry! I know last time I promised I'll get this chapter up quickly but how long is it now? A month and a 8 days? I had a serious and bad case of writer's block. Reasons is because I've been depressed from a book, there's a national test Australia have and everyone in grade 3, 5, 7 and 9 must take it. It shows which school is better and how well the education is at each school and to see how much we have improve from our last NAPLAN test. Lucky for me this is my last one.

Other reason is because I've lost my USB (stupid me but I found it), I've been reading a series that consist of 6 books so that took time. My dad got me into fishes, African Cichlids so I've been looking for new fishes and fishtanks and breeding pairs. I've been trying to find a new violin for the past week and I still got no luck. Volleyball training has been doubled and I've broke 2 fingers on my left hand trying to set.

I think there are 2 more reasons but I can't of them at the moment. So as you can see, I've been busy and I've been distracted. So I'll try and do updates more frequently since the NAPLAN tests are done and I can stop stressing out and maybe writing will keep my mine off that book that made me depressed…. On with the story! I blabber wayyyy too much. (I'm becoming like Jay :P)

Chapter 14

"Ahek, ahek." I gasped as I tried to replace the water in my lungs with oxygen. I looked around and took in the surrounding.

As it seems, I was washed up on a beach. The sand was pale and soft and the water that was splashing on my feet was surprising warm. I propped myself on my arms and saw that there were no villages around but a thick rainforest full with palm trees. But I groaned as a sharp pain went through my head and to my dismay, Garmadon had washed up with me.

"Are you alright..?" He asked me weakly.

"Surprising… I'm fine." I sighed.

"I told you to let go of me." He growled and rolled over so he was on his back but the box was still in his possession. "But it's good that you're not hurt."

"Are you?" I asked but he shook his head. I sighed, of course he's not fine although why is he denying it? He got blood on his chest. I got up slowly and tear away the bottom piece of my skirt and used it to treat his wounds.

"Why are you being so nice to me? After all I did try to kill Zane…"

"Because you're Lloyd's father and for these past weeks I've been with him, he had been very kind to me so to pay back, I should look after his father."

"But I've haven't been a father to him. But it's pointless; just let me die from my wounds."

"No, I won't allow it. Zane didn't kill you, he showed you mercy and he has a reason why!" I exclaimed and tightened the cloth around his black skin and that earned a wince from his end.

"But there's no point!" And he violently pushes me off his body. "My army is gone. I have nothing to return to."

"But what about Lloyd?" and at that he stayed quiet.

"There's nothing between us anymore… My destiny had been chosen when I was young and it can't be changed. Evil runs through my vein." He said before coughing.

"You should rest, you'll need it."

"It's ashamed my sword departed from me in the ocean. I can't commit suicide now."

"Don't say such things." I muttered as I lay down on my spot with my arm over my eyes. With the heat against my cold skin, I drifted off to sleep again.

When I woke again, the sky was filled with a gradual colour of pink and orange and clouds that hang in the sky was reflecting back the colour. I looked back to Garmadon whose breath is getting weaker and weaker. I moved towards him to change his bandages.

"Why are you doing this to me?" He asked as he too was looking at the sky.

"Because you took care of me when I had a fever, remember? I'm just simply returning the favor... and for Lloyd."

"But I do not deserve anything from you." He said as closed his eyes.

"Why? What do you mean?"

"You recognize this box, correct?" As he mentioned this, my eyes trailed down to the box cradled in his arms. "That must be why you grabbed onto me when I was about to dive into the sea…"

"I do recognize it but my memory is surfacing bit by bit… I haven't recovered everything yet. But when I saw that box, my body moved without my consult. The Three Sacred Gems are in there right?"

He did not answer my question, instead he opened his eyes and said, "Open it then, perhaps your memories will return." And his arm holding the box fell to the sand and the box rolled off. I looked to him and he nodded slowly.

"But how do you know my parents?"

"I don't really know them… It was my soldiers that killed your parents but your younger sister was on my ship on the lower levels."

"M-My parents are dead?! And you have my sister?"

"I never wanted to put harm in your parents' way but my stone army acted on their own record. I just wanted to have my hands on the Three…" But his eyes started to close slowly and he left his sentence hanging.

"No Garmadon! Don't die please!" But he didn't reply.

It was the next day and I made sure to separate myself from Garmadon's corpse. I wonder how Lloyd would react. Would he be mad at me for not saving his father? And his last words were about my parents and the Three Sacred Gems.

But it was official; I got no idea where I am or how to get off this island. The only things I have with me are just a couple of coconuts and 3 bananas and the box which I haven't opened yet. I looked down at the polished oak wood. But… If I do look, will I get my memories back?

Is the Three Sacred Gems part of my life? Is that why Garmadon needed my parents but not kill them?

"I never wanted to put harm in your parents' way but my stone army acted on their own record. I just wanted to have my hands on the Three…"

His last words… I undid the lock on the box and opened the lid. Inside the box's wall was a deep red cushion, and a bright light was shining brightly from the bottom. There laid the Gem of Courage, Shin, the Gem of Strength, Kadri and the Gem of Power, Magan.

And a pounding sensation went through my head, it pounded against my skull and I closed my eyes trying to see all the images and memories that were coming back to me. When it all stopped, I look back to the Three Gems.

That's right, my family is the protector of these Gems…

It felt weird. When I saw those memories, it was like I was seeing them from a scene of a computer or TV. It's like I've never experienced them before, I can't remember every little emotion. I can remember the big ones like when my little sister was born, the happiness that rushed through but the other time when I was told to do the main part for the play of our history, I can't remember if I was happy or embarrassed or nervous.

But those dear memories that I happen to forgot…

"Sakaya! Swing me higher!"

That was the day before I lost my memories… But my dear little sister in the Stone Army's grasp? I couldn't help but let shock go through me. I looked back down to the gems. My parents risked their lives to keep these gems safe.

With that thought, I was determined to keep these gems safe too. I closed the lid and tucked it into my kimono. I walked along the shore of the beach and eventually I found a boat… even though that wasn't there when I went looking after Garmadon died.

The boat was small, it could hold two people. At both sides were two paddles and in the boat was a brown linen sack. The boat wasn't old with loose wood but that means someone travelled out here but whom? I was deep in thought.

"Sakaya!" I gasped as I heard my name being called out with soft footsteps across the sand. Just as I turned around, I was engulfed in a tight and fierce embrace. I couldn't recognize the voice; it was so full of worry but the smell… I know that scent. It smells like when rain but colder… in a way.

"Oh Zane…" I muttered as I dug my head into his chest. I couldn't help but let tears spill.

"Thank goodness you're alright." And he softly patted my head and untangling the knots that formed in the mess of brown hair. "I had been searching for you ever since you jumped off the boat… I was so afraid… Your sister and I thought we would never see you again."

"M-My sister? Is she alright?!"

"She's just fine…" But his voice was trembling. I looked up to see his face. He had deep purple shadows underneath his icy blue eyes and he had thin red lines across his eyes. He hasn't been sleeping… "I couldn't bear the thought of losing you."

"I… I-I regain my memories…" I said quietly. His eyes widen and he stared down at me in disbelief. "I… I can tell you I really am and what happen before I met you… Did Sayuri told you yet?"

"No… I asked but she's too shaken up."

"I don't blame her… She's always shy and easily scared… Ok, it started in the morning; the sun was up high with a cloud or two in the sky…"

Cliffhangers, I'm sorry but I went way over my limits but at least the next chapter will be interesting. So review if you fancy! ;)
