Arizona watched as Wo Fat hurried out from the warehouse with the last of the bags and put them in the trunk of the car. Greg was in the truck with the vault, waiting for Wo Fat to get into his car. Arizona yawned when Wo Fat finally did climb into the car. "Where are we going?" She asked.
"The airport, and we have to get there fast. So, fasten your seatbelt." Wo Fat said before buckling himself up. He reached over and tightened Arizona's seatbelt before giving the thumbs up to Greg. Greg nodded and pulled out of the parking lot, turning left onto the road. "Here we go." Wo Fat breathed before speeding out of the parking lot, taking a right to give Greg more time to get to the airport.
Steve snorted waking up when he heard his phone ringing next to him on his desk. "McGarrett!" He barked into his phone, rubbing his eyes.
"Steve, we got a call on the car just now. It looks like they are heading up to the hills. The officer said Wo Fat was in the car with Arizona." Danny explained as he got into his car and started it.
Steve ran out of his office and hurried out of the station. "Where are you now?"
Danny pulled out of his driveway. "I am just leaving my place. I am heading up to the hills now. Where are you?"
"I am at the station, heading to my car. I will meet you up there." Steve blurted out before hanging up and getting into his car. He ignored the squeal of the wheels as they rubbed against the black top. He turned on his sirens and took off down the road.
"I thought you said we were going to the airport?" Arizona breathed as she looked around. There were two police cars speeding behind them as Wo Fat weaved through the hills.
Wo Fat nodded. "We are. I just want the vault to get there before we do so we can leave right away." He glanced over to his right and smiled lightly. "Hang on." Arizona grabbed the door and counsel before Wo Fat turned off the road and onto a trail. "Your father is going to be joining us soon. I may have to hurt him, but I won't kill him."
"He's your brother!" Arizona shouted still gripping the car.
Wo Fat nodded. "And, we've been trying to kill each other for years. I am not going to try anything on him when I know he has a daughter to take care of."
Arizona nodded throwing her hands in the air. "Such brother love right there." She said sarcastically. The air left her lungs when Wo Fat hit the brakes and parked the car, her chest getting trapped by the confines of the seatbelt.
"We gotta go by foot now." Wo Fat said getting out of the car. He walked around and opened her door for her before pulling her out and taking her hand. He started running with her into the forest.
Danny parked by the rest of the cop cars around Wo Fat's car. Steve walked up to him. "How did you get here before me?" Danny asked.
"I went through every light." Steve breathed before pointing at the car. "Wo Fat took Arizona and ran off into the forest. We have tracks leading into the forest, but we lose them once they get to grass."
"Well, they couldn't have gotten too far. We just saw them." Danny said as they walked over to the foot trail.
Steve nodded. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure Wo Fat would try to get back to the road. The airport alerted me that a plane is getting ready to ship a vault. It's gotta be his."
Danny walked with Steve up the hill. "They probably haven't opened the vault yet." They looked around the treeless hill when they cleared out of the trees. "They could only go up."
Steve looked behind him at all the officers following them with their vests and guns. "So, that's where we're headed."
"We can't go anywhere else." Arizona gasped as they slowed down at the top of the hill. "It's trees everywhere. I'm still trying to understand why we left the car."
"We had to. Your father put a bolo out on it." Wo Fat said looking around.
Arizona started looking around and saw the police officers coming up the hill. Her eyes widened. "Don't shoot him!" She yelled as she stood in front of Wo Fat and put her hands up.
On of the officers stepped closer as Wo Fat turned around behind Arizona. "Young lady, we need you to step away from him."
"I will if you don't kill him. He saved me." Arizona bargained. The officer looked back towards someone she couldn't see before he turned back to her.
"We promise not to kill him, but we need to take him into custody." The officer said.
Arizona nodded before stepping aside. She watched as many officers came over and handcuffed him before taking him away. "AJ!" She heard Steve. She started looking around before she saw him jumping up between officers. "AJ!"
"Daddy!" Arizona yelled with a smile before running to him. She felt the tears burning the back of her eyes when she saw him grin at her. "Daddy!" She half sobbed before jumping into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. She stuck her face into the crook of his neck sobbing from relief and happiness.
"That's the first time you called me Dad." Steve grinned tearing up himself as he held her tighter.
Arizona sniffled and pulled back enough to look at him. "I had a lot of time to think the past couple days."
Steve smiled and cupped the back of her head before pulling her closer and kissing her head. "Let's get you home." He started walking down the hill, carrying Arizona all the way back to his car.
