Me: So there's the Flood, now I just need to introduce the Reapers, Collectors, and Storm Covenant…maybe not that last one.

Trin: Why not?

Ashley: Um…about the Flood.

Me: Excuse for Control Ending.

Kaiden: What?

Me: Nothing, also there are so far only four submissions and a merc group (which counts for 1 submission) from MLPFan298, dghornick, Lemanruss669, and ARC N7. Also for SPARTAN submissions, please put if they are a II, III, or IV. On with the story!

Facing Fears

[Reality ME4, Dimension a2, Infected Sector (Under UNSC/Sangheili Empire Quarantine), Infected Planet (Slated for Glassing when civilians and Allies have been evacuated):]

"Well this shit just got worse," Jaxes said to Johnson when he told him about the other N7.

"I'm gonna laugh about it once we're off this damn planet," Gabby said as she went over to one of the monitors.

Johnson looked at it and saw a beam of light coming from orbit. Johnson assumed it was the Salvation glassing the main Flood area. Then he saw several other beams hitting the ground. Johnson activated his coms instantly.

"[…n't hitting where our soldiers are Admiral,]" an Elite Johnson didn't recognize said.

"[Keep it that way. Johnson can you hear me?]" Admiral Keyes asked.

"Yes sir, we found survivors, we're currently bunkered down inside a building. It has a blue symbol on the side of it, watch your fire," Johnson said to his friend.

"[Understood Spartan. Lieutenant, fire at that running group, burn this planet clean of the parasite,]" the Elite from before said as one of the beams stopped and reappeared at a different spot.

"[Johnson, any casualties?]" the Admiral asked.

"Multiple, several ODSTs and two IVs," Johnson said as he looked back to see Gabby talking to a kid. "Admiral, some of the survivors are kids."

"[By the gods, BRACE FOR IMPACT!]" Johnson heard an Elite shout in the background.

"[What the hell was that?]" Keyes asked.

"[Plasma AA fire, looks like the ships still have some functionality,]" a human in the background said. "[Sir, they may still have functioning computers, that means usable intel.]"

"[Johnson, we can't destroy it with that intel there.]"

"Got it, go there, grab the intel, leave a targeting beacon, and get the fuck out before it gets vaporized," Johnson said as he looked back to see another person in N7 armor walking up.

The woman had blond hair with red streaks in it and ice blue eyes. She had a large scar across her nose, and one across her left eye. Johnson noticed that that eye was also a little darker that the other.

"You Sergeant Johnson?" she asked.

"Yeah, you must be Jordan," he said in reply.

"Who are you in contact with?"

"The ships that are doing that," Johnson said as he pointed to the monitors.

"What the hell! This is a Garden World they can't-…"

"They can and they will if we all want to live."

"But-…"

"Go make sure everyone's ready for evac, I have a job to do," Johnson said as he switched to his team coms. "Orion squad, gear up and get ready to leave." He then switched back to the line to Keyes.

"[…ep firing on the Flood.]" Keyes said.

"Sir, I'm sending my team to take down the AA guns," he said.

"[That's in the middle of Flood central Sergeant,]" Keyes said over the com.

"We still have drones right?"

"[Yes but-…]"

"[Your Sergeant Major makes a valid point,]" a synthetic voice said. Johnson thought for a minute and recognized it as Legion. "[The organism you call, the Flood, is only able to control organic targets. If the reinforcements you send are inorganic, then the Flood is unable to control them.]"

"Just send some drones for backup and we'll be fine Admiral, we're SPARTANs after all," Johnson said as he and Orion team started leaving.

"[…Understood Johnson, good luck,]" Keyes said before cutting the coms.

Johnson looked over and saw Vicky with a Railgun on her back, two pistols on her hips, and a flame thrower in her hands. He looked at the rest of his team and saw them with enough weapons to take on a small army.

"Incendiary rounds?" Johnson asked his team.

"Yes sir," they all replied.

"Good, now let's get moving."

They stopped at the door and waited for a Blue Suns merc to open it. Once he did, he turned and saluted the SPARTAN IVs. They left and the merc quickly sealed the base behind them. Johnson looked around at the burning landscape. In the distance he could see the fires being caused by the Joint Fleet ships. He turned back to the team and pointed that way.

"We're heading to Flood central to get intel from the Covenant's computers," Johnson said. "After that we have to wait until the ships are destroyed to get our evac."

"We're running straight at the Flood?" Warren asked shocked.

"Um…can I stay here?" Darla asked.

"You're Sangheili, act like it," Gar said.

"And you're SPARTAN IVs. We didn't get into this unit for being a bunch of fucking pussies that run at the first sign of danger," Johnson said as he and Gar started walking off.

"SIR, YES SIR!" the twins shouted at him as they started walking towards the burning fires.

"Well, I'm inspired," Vicky said as she lifted her flame thrower and followed the twins.

The remaining members of Orion looked at each other before following their teammates. While they were walking, a plasma beam landed near them. They were thrown to the ground before the beam stopped. Johnson and his team quickly got up and looked around to see if any Flood were near them. Johnson looked at his shield bar to see it drained and blinking, he only then noticed the alarm.

"[Sorry, my bad,]" a female Elites voice said over their coms.

"[Well that could've been a lot worse,]" Ghost suddenly said.

Johnson had completely forgotten that the AI was with them. Johnson rolled his eyes before he checked to see that his shield bar was recharging. He looked at the rest of his team to see that their shields were also regenerating. The orange silhouette like energy disappeared from each of them one at a time. Johnson looked over to see the blue from Gar and Darla's shields disappearing.

"Hey, if it's danger close, then give us some damn warning before you fire," Johnson shouted.

"[Got it…brace for plasma impact, danger close,]" the Elite said.

Johnson looked to his left to see Flood charging at them. He looked up to see clouds moving in swirls around a dot of blue and purple light that was getting bigger. He braced himself as his team did the same. Two seconds later a beam of light like the hand of God struck the ground, obliterating everything it hit.

"[Shot hit, good effect on target.]"

"We're moving out, give us cover on our way," Johnson said as he waved his hand to tell everyone to move.

The team picked themselves up and continued their march towards the Flood infected zone. The entire time they kept getting radio chatter from the Fleet. Several times they were told to brace as a plasma beam hit the ground near them.

"Hey Sarge, why can't they just fire a beam at the ships?" Troy asked as they were walking.

"[Apparently the ships are still connected to the Storm Covenant's main network. Intel is valuable, and it could tell use whether they're coming here in force or not,]" Ghost said.

"Ok then, how about we down load the intel, then glass this planet?" Troy said.

"That's the plan idiot," Gar said.

"[Um guys,]" Ghost tried to say.

"So I'm being lectured on intelligence by a person who thought that the Forerunners were gods?" Drake asked as the team stopped at a hill.

"Guys," Darla said.

Johnson readied his rifle as he saw what they were trying to tell everyone about. Johnson shot twice, causing Gar and Troy to stop arguing long enough to see the group of Flood charging at them.

"Oh shit," they both said as they pulled out their weapons and started firing.

The parasitic orbs exploded with each shot, taking several others with it, yet 5 seemed to take the place of every one the group destroyed. As they got closer, Avery switched to his shotgun and Vicky started using the flamethrower to a better effect. Darla holstered her Repeater and pulled out her energy swords. Johnson continued to fire at the Flood as he heard the Elite again.

"[Pull back a bit Sergeant,]" she said as he looked up and saw the telltale light of a Precision Glassing Beam charging.

"MOVE!" Johnson yelled as the team pulled back.

They got a few feet backwards when the beam came down and hit where the Flood was. Johnson turned around and saw an explosion just before the shockwave knocked him and his team to the ground.

"[Glad I don't have a body, or that would've hurt," Ghost said as the team picked themselves up.

Johnson reached up and slapped the area where Ghost's data chip was at in his helmet. He looked around and saw that the beam had managed to hit every Flood form that had been chasing them. Johnson nodded his head towards the hill and the team started moving up.

"[Welcome to Flood central people,]" Ghost said as the team got over the hill and saw a graveyard.

[Reality ME4, Dimension a2, Infected Sector (Under UNSC/Sangheili Empire Quarantine), Orbit above infected planet, UNSC/Sangheili Dreadnaught Hera's Wrath:]

"Hey, 63, wake up, we're going dirt side," someone said to the sleeping form of Luna 'Cole.'

Luna moaned before opening her eyes and seeing her cat stretching as it got off of her back. She reached over and scratched behind its ears before getting up herself. She looked around for her armor and saw it over at its usual spot.

"We're being deployed as reinforcements for Orion Squad," Lieutenant Jack Falcone said.

"Yeah, yeah," Luna said as she started putting on her ODST themed armor. She moved the bit of her black hair that had managed to get in front of her green eyes out of the way and moved some of her highlighted blue hair to that spot. She then grabbed her helmet and looked into its black visor for a moment before putting it on.

"Still don't get why they allowed you to graft cat ears on the helmet," Jack said.

Luna rolled her eyes before heading over to the drop pods. She got into her pod and randomly picked a song as the pod sealed and the rest of the team going with her got into theirs. The countdown started as Disturbed's 'Down With the Sickness' started playing over the com.

"[Are you fucking kidding me!?]" someone shouted.

"[You've got a sick mind AWOL,]" another said.

"[Why the fuck is it this one!?]" a third said as Luna smiled to herself.

The countdown hit zero and the pods started dropping. Luna looked down and saw fires raging everywhere except for where they were heading and the main Flood area.

"I thought Orion was going to the Flood hub?" Luna asked as she noticed they were heading towards a building.

"[Orders changed as we got into the pods. We're to defend that building at all costs,]" Jack said.

"Well this sucks," Luna said before noticing where Johnson's team currently was.

Luna thought for a moment and smiled before activating her pods positioning thrusters and heading towards where Johnson's team was. Her pod jolted as it's trajectory altered and then it steadied as it went towards Johnson's team.

"[AWOL, what the hell are you doing?]" Jack asked her.

"Nothing really CELL, just taking a little detour," Luna replied as she prepared for the impact.

"Um…Avery, is that our reinforcements?" Darla asked as she pointed up.

Johnson looked up before his visor zoomed in. the pod was out of range of his IFF transponder, but he could see the UNSC emblem on the side. He looked around and saw that that was the only pod.

"You're fucking kidding me," Warren said. "One pod isn't reinforcements, it's burial detail."

"Wait, is that AWOL's pod?" Vicky asked as she noticed a picture of a cat on the other side.

"[It is, and she's listening to Disturbed's 'Down With the Sickness.' Kind of strange considering where we are,]" Ghost said.

"That cat loving bitch is insane," Warren said.

"You only hate her because she doesn't really care that much about protocol," Vicky said as the pod landed.

"Which is bad."

"Which is my personality," Luna said as she got out of her pod.

"You deliberately disobeyed orders about not altering the armor, how is that not bad?"

"Because I'm one of the best, and you aren't, Mr. By-The-Book," AWOL said.

Johnson looked at her helmet and saw cat ears grafted onto the top. He was starting to see why these two hated each other.

"And my being by the book is why most people choose me for high value missions," Warren said.

"You mean diplomatic events? Yeah, I hate politics so you can have those. Oh, and don't I outrank you?"

"[Can we please focus on the mission?]" Ghost said suddenly.

"Move out people," Johnson said as they started moving towards the largest of the Storm Covenant ships.

"Shouldn't there be more Flood?" Vicky asked.

"[They are most likely waiting for us in the ship,]" Ghost said.

"And on that happy thought we go inside," Darla said as she gripped her energy swords tighter.

"Be ready for anything IVs," Johnson said.

"Yes sir," the group said.

"Darla and I will stay here and keep the exit clear," Gar said.

"More like run at the first chance," Troy whispered

"Stow it Marine," Johnson said to Drake. "Gar, Darla, don't let anything get past you."

"Yes sir," Darla said as she readied her blades.

"It will be done," Gar replied as he readied his Needler.

"Orion squad, let's move," Johnson said as he turned back around.

The team and Luna entered the ship as Darla and Gar shot a few rounds at a small group of Flood. Johnson activated his helmets night vision mode and looked around. He didn't see anything so far, but he knew from experience that that could easily change. He made a hand signal to say move forward. The team began moving again as each of them keep an eye and ear out.

"[Flood attacking, not a very big group,]" Darla said over the coms.

"[I still think they are in there with you, keep an eye out Sergeant,]" Gar said.

"Will do, Johnson out," Avery said as he cut the connection.

As he stopped the team heard something big heading towards them. Johnson looked left as the doors opened to reveal several Combat Carrier Flood forms. [This is the Flood type that is commonly confused as an Infected Hunter. If you read the books and comics you will learn that since the Hunters are colonies of worms the Flood is physically unable to take them over. Combat Carriers are evolved Flood Parasite forms that act as both a Combat Form and Carrier form as they fight against you and also 'throw-up' Infection Forms.]

"Incoming on our left!" Vicky shouted as she started using the flame thrower on them.

One Combat Carrier raised its arm to use as a shield, but that didn't help with the fire. Once it hit, the flames spread quickly. The Combat Carrier died as it burned. Another started to puke up infection forms as Johnson started firing at the small forms. Luna was firing her shotgun wildly while attempting to back up. Johnson saw the door behind her opening and readied a grenade. As it opened to reveal several Combat Forms, he threw the grenade. It exploded and took the Combat Forms with it. Luna glanced back for a second before nodding at Johnson and attacking the Combat Carriers.

"[Johnson, active terminal behind that Combat Carrier,]" Ghost suddenly said as one of the evolved Flood forms was suddenly outlined in gold. "[Get me to that and we can leave.]"

"Got it. Vicky," Johnson shouted as he pointed to the gold outlined Combat Carrie, "burn it."

She nodded before setting that Combat Carrier on fire. It fell and revealed a lit terminal behind it. Johnson ran over to it and plugged Ghost into it. He waited a second and pulled Ghost back out.

"[Ok let's get the hell out of here,]" Ghost said.

"Beacon up?" Drake asked as he shot at several Combat Forms that were near him.

"Yeah, now lets move!"
"Don't have to tell me twice," Luna said as she ran towards the exit.

"Darla, Gar, we're leaving, get ready," Johnson said to the two Elites.

"[Ok good, because I think you pissed them off,]" Johnson heard Darla say.

"[Multiple Spider Forms attacking us,]" Gar said.

"On our way, just hold out for another minute," Johnson said as the group rounded a corner and saw multiple Turret Forms.

"Ah shit," Troy said as they took cover while the Flood started firing.

Vicky readied her flame thrower and shot at the Flood for half a second before it ran out of fuel. She went back behind cover and started to reload the flame thrower. Johnson stuck his gun out of cover and pulled the trigger. The Assault Rifle began firing and he held the trigger until it was empty. He then pulled it back in and reloaded. He looked over at Vicky to see her getting ready to fire the flame thrower.

"SPARTANs covering fire!" Johnson shouted as he and everyone except Vicky started shooting.

While they did that, Vicky popped out and fired at the Turret Forms. Half a minute later the hallway before them was littered with burning corpses. Johnson nodded his head before the team continued sprinting towards the exit. They got there to find Gar and Darla still waiting.

"Run now! The beacon's already been activated!" Luna shouted as she sprinted past the two Sangheili.

They didn't hesitate as they instantly started running with the others. They looked up to see what looked like a fire ball heading towards them.

"Oh this is gonna hurt," Johnson thought to himself as the MAC round impacted into the crashed Storm Covenant ship.

The shock wave rocked the ground and sent the team flying forward. Before they even had a chance to pick themselves up, a dot of blue light appeared before a Precision Glassing beam appeared. Another shockwave caused them to again fall over. Johnson got back up to see his team picking themselves up and dusting themselves off.

"[Shots hit, good effect on target,]" someone said over the coms.

"Yeah, that went great for us too," Vicky said sarcastically.

"Let's never do that again," Luna said.

"Agreed," Darla said as she caught her breath.

"[Evac is on its way. We should get back to the base,]" Ghost said.

"Moving out now," Johnson said as they got moving.

Ten minutes of running later, they were standing in front of the base with Pelican drop ships making their way towards them. Johnson saw that everyone was being screened by UNSC medics. The medics stopped one man that their scanners turned red on.

"Sir I need you to step out of line," the medic said as her hand went to her Magnum. The two ODSTs behind her also reached for their weapons.

"Why, so what, I got scratched by one of those things, that doesn't-…" the man never got to finish the sentence as the ODSTs and medic instantly emptied their weapons' clips into him.

Johnson ran up and pulled out his shotgun. He pointed it at the corpse of the man, waiting for it to move. The medic got back to screening the now nervous crowd. Suddenly someone yelled as they were tossed out of the Pelican.

"No screening, no boarding," the pilot said before he went back to the cockpit.

Johnson continued to watch the dead mans body when Darla walked up. She activated her energy swords and cut the body in half. Johnson lowered his shotgun before nodding at Darla. They then went over to help the medics with the screenings.

"Please take my daughter," someone said behind them.

Johnson turned around to see a crying woman with a toddler in her arms. Johnson activated his helmet's scanner and saw that the woman was infected, but the child was not. Johnson walked over and reached for the little girl. The woman looked at him tears still in her eyes and smiled.

"Thank you," she said as Johnson took the sleeping girl and put her in the Pelican.

He turned back around to se the woman kneeling on the ground with an ODST standing over her, SMG pointed at the back of her head. Johnson heard a muffled shot and saw the woman's now dead body hit the ground as blood started coming out of it.

As Johnson turned back around, it started raining. He looked up and saw clouds every where. He looked over at Darla as she removed her helmet.

"Sometimes it will start raining on planets being Glassed. I think it has to do with the instant evaporation and rapid cooling of water," she said to Johnson.

"Makes sense," he said as he looked over at someone holding a sealed container.

He looked at the container as his visor instantly had biohazard warnings pop up. It must have happened to the ODSTs and medics also since everyone there pulled their weapons out and pointed them at the man.

"The hell's in the box?" an ODST Sergeant asked.

"J…just some plutonium," the man said.

Johnson looked at the man's jacket and noticed a familiar symbol on the man's shirt just barely being covered by the jacket. Johnson thought about it for a second before recognizing the symbol. It was the emblem Cerberus used.

"The hell is Cerberus doing here," Johnson asked the man as he moved closer to him.

"Wh…what do you mean?"

"I know you work for them, what are they doing here?"

The man looked around nervously before looking at the ground. He stayed that way for a second before looking back up with a smirk.

"For Cerberus!" he shouted as he opened the container and threw its single Infection Form onto Johnson.

He smiled triumphantly before noticing that everyone had put their weapons down and gone back to what they were doing earlier. He was about to question what was going on when he heard a pop and spun back around to see Johnson still standing there unaltered.

"I'm immune to the Flood dumbass," he said before firing his MA5D at the Cerberus agent.

The man began moving backwards as the shots hit him eventually he reached the edge of the roof and fell off. Johnson only had to wait two seconds before he heard the splat. He turned back around to see everyone staring at him, and one of the medics flash him a thumbs up after looking up from a scanner.

"Get back to what you were doing, nothing to see here," Johnson said as he walked over to Shepard and her group. "Ma'am, good to see you in one piece still," he said with a salute that Jane returned.

"Likewise Sergeant," Jane said as Johnson noticed Williams curled up in a fettle position in the corner of the roof with John trying to calm her down.

"What happened to Williams?"

"…She saw your Flood take over two more of the SPARTANs…and the soldiers that it took over while we were running to here."

"Ok, so how are you doing ma'am?"

"Oh as soon as we're back on the Salvation I'm going to do the same exact thing Ash is doing. Only I'll do it in the Captain's cabin on the Normandy."

"Don't let the troops see their hero terrified," Johnson said as Jane nodded in agreement.

"You should get your team back to the Salvation. God knows they deserve a break after that," Jane said. "…You know what, consider that an order."

"Yes ma'am, for how long do you want us on mandatory break?"

"Two days minimum."

"Does that include me?" Luna asked as she popped up out of no where.

"What the fuck!?" both Johnson and Jane shouted.

"Where the…what the fuck AWOL?" Johnson asked.

"Are you trying to be like the Cheshire cat or something?" Jane asked.

"Well duh," Luna replied as she played with her helmet's cat ears.

"…How did you get into the SPARTAN IV Program?" Johnson asked.

"Really high aptitude, combat simulation, and training scores Sarge," Luna said.

[Reality ME4, Dimension a2, Infected Sector (Under UNSC/Sangheili Empire Quarantine), Infected Planet (Survivor evacuation 99% complete, Glassing of planet has commenced):]

"Captain, we will be entering the system in ten seconds," the Salarian at navigation said.

"Good, see to it that we're combat ready when we do," the Salarian Captain said.

When the UNSC Fleet disappeared into this sector, the Council decided it would be a good idea to send in an STG team to investigate. They were currently hoping that they would find another way to the UNSC Sangheili home world. The Salarian leadership had actually given them permission to do to the UNSC and Sangheili what they did to the Krogan. [This is going to be my excuse for the UNSC to research a cure for the Krogan's Genophage. The UNSC won't be infected, but I'm sure you can guess the actual reason.] This was unknown to the rest of the Council races, but they doubted that they would try to stop them either way.

"Exiting FTL in three…two…one…we have reentered normal space."

"Good, see to it that we aren't-…"

"CAPTAIN!" the Salarian at the scan counsel said.

"What is it?" the Captain asked him.

"This planet here," he said as he had an image pop up on the primary screen.

"Yes that's a colony world of the Alliance, your point?"

"Here is a real time feed," the Salarian said as the image changed.

In place of a luscious green world was now a blacked and burnt planet with the UNSC/Sangheili Empire Fleet. The Captain was stunned but continued to examine the monitor. It was during that that he noticed the energy beams coming from the Joint Fleet's ships.

"My God they're destroying a Garden World!" The Captain said.

"We need to stop them!"

"You're right, this is also a good way to test the Xenophage [I can't give it the same name now can I?]," the Captain said.

"[I don't think so,]" someone said over their intercom. Suddenly the image of a human female with blonde hair, blue eyes, and in some sort of red armor appeared. "[Just so you know I informed both the Sangheili and the UNSC of what you were planning on doing. At first they were confused and then I explained what the Genophage was to them, now their fucking pissed. Congratulations idiots, you've just simultaneously waged war against the UNSC and Sangheili; probably led to the destruction of the Council; given us a reason to cure the Krogan's Genophage, they'll probably love us for that; and possibly caused the Genocide of your species. I'll give you guys ten minutes to get to the Citadel, explain to the Council what you did, and then we'll come after you. Don't fuck with sleeping giants, you'll just get squashed,]" the woman said before her hologram disappeared.

"We need to go now!" the Salarian at navigation said as the ship went into FTL.

Across the gap of space, Daisy's Hologram smiled and crossed her arms as the UNSC and Sangheili troops behind her talked about whether or not to go after them now, or help finish Glassing the planet first.

Me: Even alien Black Ops groups cause bad shit to happen. Imagine what the Councilors faces will be like when the Captain explains to them what he just did.

Trin: Imagine the best 'we're fucked' face you can think of, multiply that by ten, and then power that by 100 and you'll get it…maybe…possibly.

Ash: … +Stares at nothing+

Me: Um…Williams are you going to be ok?

Ash: …

John (ME): +Comes in and picks up Ashley before walking back out+

Trin: I still say you should add a bit of what's happening in the Haloverse.

Me: …I'll flip a coin. +Flips coin, and lands heads up. Flips it again and it lands tails up.+ Ok I'm adding a codex type thing for that.

He doesn't express himself much, just keeping quiet and the only talking he usually does is giving orders.

Name; Luna 'Cole' 063 service tag; AWOL; AI: Lotus [looks like Mako from 'Girls Und Panzer' (the Panzer 4 driver)]
Rank; Warrant Officer 1st Class
Specialty; close quarters/melee/high orbital drops
Armor; dark blue (primary) steel (secondary)
full ODST equipment loadout (halo reach) black visor and cat ears, plus tacpad on wrist, also has speakers in the pauldrens
Preferred weapons; dual m7 caseless SMGs, M45E tactical shotgun and kukri combat knife
Notes; Luna is a reckless, almost suicidal Spartan, is Caucasian, has long black hair with blue highlights, which she blatantly refuses to cut and green eyes. During training Luna was annoyed at having a number not a last name and so took the surname of her favorite video game character (3 guess' and it wasn't Damien), also Luna had a habit of disappearing whenever the mood struck her, it was only due to high scores and a high aptitude that she made the rank of Spartan, but these disappearing acts are what earned her the service tag AWOL. When doing a HVOD (high velocity orbital drop), unless stealth is required, various songs play out load, in fact they can be heard up to a minute before she touches ground, these songs include; Drowning pools 'Bodies'; Metallica's 'Battery'; Disturbed's 'Down With the Sickness' (really pisses of Marines when dropped into a flood zone) and Megadeth's 'High Speed Dirt'. Fears nothing except larger flood entities like infected hunters. Favorite quote "as I walk down the valley in the shadow of death I shall fear no evil, FOR I'M THE BADDEST MOTHERFUCKER THERE. Likes cats.

Name: Independent Republic Valhalla

Government: Parlamentary Monarchy/Direct Democracy

History:
After the First Contact-War and the frequent pirate-raids on the Terminus-Border there were many people who were disappointed with the Systems Alliance and called them weak for not being able to protect its citizens. At the same time there were people who claimed the Alliance was oppressive. The latter left to the Terminus while the militarists organized into the Terra Firma Party.
However, there was a militarist splinter group consisting of veterans from the dismantled national militaries of Germany, UK, Russia, Turkey, France, USA and Japan.
This group of angry militarists formed the plan to build a fortress colony in the Terminus Systems.
The group armed itself with funding from both Cerberus and Terra Firma and assaulted a planet of the Eclipse. The battle was short because the inexperienced Asari-Rookies didn't had a chance against a brigade worth of combat experienced soldiers (many even from Speznas, VDV, Niebetsky Berety, KSK, Fernspäher, SEALs, SAT and SAS).
The planet was renamed "Valhalla" after the warrior-heaven of the Nordic mythology.
After 6 months a few thousand human colonists settled on the world and founded an own government. The Valhalla-Council consists of 10 elected councilors and the Supreme Commander (Chief of State) that is the leader of the Black Corps.
All matters of minor importance are dealt with by the Council or Supreme Commander. But for every major decision the people (civilian and PMC) must vote.
Because the planet doesn't have any resources worth a shit, Valhalla trades its own PMC/Military.

The plan in the Terminus was clear from the beginning: Building a safe-haven for humans of Terminus where humanity isn't held back by Citadel Council or Alliance.
But to get the needed money to run the colony they sell their service as soldiers, spec-ops and overpaid thugs.

Organization:
The Mercenary-Organization "Black Corps" is the armed body of Valhalla and has its headquarter inside an underground base named 'Valaskjalf'. The heart of the fortress is the command-center 'Hlidskjalf'.
The men and women of the Black Corps are trained in the combat doctrines of the original Brigade. Their training, tactics and traditions are a mix of Speznas, Navy SEAL's and SAS in terms of Spec Ops and German Infantry-Combat.
The Black Corps is easily as disciplined as the HSA-Military, if not more.
Valhalla has an own flotilla for defense against pirates. The Republic don't has the ability to start real offensives, but they have a number of transports to operate in the Terminus.

The big problem they have is that they lack in numbers compared to their rivals. The colony has about 10.000 inhabitants and the Black Corps has 6000 Soldiers. That's why they must be the best in terms of training and skill.
The mercs are known to never loose calm under fire regardless of heavy losses.
There are only two types of Operatives: Infantrymen(/women) and Spec Ops.
The infantry is the main force that uses 21st Century Infantry-Tactics to beat the enemy.
Biotics are kinda rare among the Corps because it relies on masses of firepower to get the job done but every Rifle-Section (10 Men) has 1 Biotic, 1 Machine-gunner/AT-Specialist, 1 Reserve-Ammo-Carrier and 1 Medic. The Biotics are still used armed to the teeth.

Equipment:
The Equipment of the Black Corps is very unique.
Because the PMC needed a both reliable and effective rifle, they developed the AK-107 Refit.
It lacks a folding-system and fires 9x40 Raufoss-Ammunition (VSS Vintorrez and BR55 Caliber). The recoil is very low and the rate of fire is lower than that of an M8 Avenger but it's very accurate, controllable and tough. Its damage output is comparable to a Mattock but the major drawback is the dependence on own ammo.
As machineguns they use modified German MG3's in the same caliber.
The standard sidearm is the M3 Predator.
Every man also has a bayonet and a combat knife.

The self-made firearms aren't UNSC-Quality, but near.

The Black Corps uses the normal Alliance-Style Armor with completely black paintjob, an silver Mjolnir-Hammer-Emblem on the shoulder-pieces and an COD Ghosts Style Skull-Mask.

Enemies:
The Corps sells itself as a PMC to everyone but it also wages an open war against the Asari-Eclipse (I don't like Asari too ^^) and Blood Pack while their relations to Blue Suns is more of a professional rivalry.
They often do some jobs for Aria T'Loak because of their professionalism.
The Corps frequently raids pirates and slavers, hoping to recruit liberated alien-slaves. A well trained Asari is a welcome tactical addition for a Rifle-Section.
But the raids often hit Hegemony or Asari slavers too. This makes the Corps a primary target for Batarian pirates and Eclipse.

Name: Markus Holland (not related to Col. Holland)

Rank: Lance Corporal

Specialty: Heavy weapons

Armor: ODST armor, with a black/dark grey camouflage pattern.

Preferred weapon : SAW (from halo 4 not sure what it's called ) rocket launcher or a new UNSC grenade launcher ( molded after the Natural selection 2 grenade launcher, note you can include this if you want to)

Notes : ODST with the 54th battalion , one of the few ODST battalions to successfully hold off 5 times their number in the great war . He has seen combat on Reach, Earth (Voi, Mombasa, and Rome), the Ark and Requiem. He has been promoted , and demoted he may as well have a zipper for his sergeant strips ; this happens due to his tactical insanity that has saved many of his comrades at great risk to himself . It is questioned if combat on Reach, where 83% of the 54th died, has made him into this near suicidal solider that would rather die than lose a friend or comrade.

Psych profile: Subject expressed reluctance to come in for a psych exam. During exam subject showed a distinct want to be anywhere else, as well as hostility. (Note: this may just be due to his hate of shrinks) interactions with friends is warm, he frequently jokes with them and keeps gambling with them despite getting cleaned out every time. When he goes on his "crazy runs" it generally involves saving somebody in this group or 5+ people. His interactions with other crew members in much colder (note: theorized this is due to losses of the 54th) until they survive their first 3 or 4 combat engagements. If the survive 3 or 4 engagements he thaws towards them, brothers in arms is a more appropriate way to describe his relationship with them.

Me: Well that's it, VR Commando ATA out. Oh and more people need to send submissions. Plus you now have a new class, THOR pilots (they can be Alliance or UNSC). They have ODST standard light armor (Rookie's armor without the pack) and their mechs share a standard shape (Gypsey Danger from Pacific Rim), but the coloring and decals can be customized for the user since there are only 100 total mechs. THOR pilot submissions require the usual parts of a submission, but add the mech name, and it's description.
