But it would be in another story, I am planning on making a one shot series of the adventures that they have! It would be after this story though.
Chapter 14- Friends, and a Silent Tony (shocker, I know)
Hiccup/Vali's POV
(BTW, Thor isn't in this chapter, he's busy with Princely duties)
I blink to get rid of the spots in my vision from the lights. I look around, we're in the Bifrost.
"What the heck is that thing?!" Tony exclaims.
I look at him, he was pointing at Toothless.
Toothless puts himself in front of Canine, Ceceus, and I.
The Avengers quickly pull out weapons, except for Bruce (he didn't have any), and Tony (the Iron Man suit was in his room).
Toothless was ready to fire at someone.
I run in the middle of the Avengers and Toothless, holding my hands out. "Stop! Hold your fire!" I exclaim.
Toothless swallows his plasma blast, and the Avengers put their weapons away.
"Toothless, this is the Avengers, Avengers, Toothless" I introduce.
Toothless snarls with his teeth showing.
"You named that thing Toothless?" Tony asks with a 'you've got to be kidding me' expression.
"What is that thing?" Steve asks with a serious face.
"Toothless is a dragon-"
"Wait, I though that little green thing you turned into was a dragon" Clint says.
"That's a type of dragon. The little dragon is a Terrible Terror, one of the most common dragons around. The other common ones are the Deadly Nadder, Monstrous Nightmare, Gronkle, and a Hideous Zippleback" I explain.
"What's he?" Bruce asks, pointing to Toothless.
"Toothless is a extremely rare breed, possibly the last of his kind. He's a Night Fury, one of the most intelligent dragons around. In my village, a Night Fury is defined as the unholy offspring of lightning and death itself" I say.
Tony walks up to Toothless and looks at him, face to face. "He doesn't look scary" he says reaching out to pet Toothless.
Toothless snaps at Tony.
Tony pulls back and inspects his hand for any injury, there was nothing. "Down, Fido" he says, patting Toothless on the head.
Toothless glares at him.
"Come on, Toothless, be nice" I say.
He looks at me and purrs.
"What on Earth encouraged you to name him Toothless? I would have named him Death, or Fear... No, no, no, IRON DRAGON!" Tony says.
Clint face palms, "What's with you and iron?" he asks.
"Cause I'm Iron Man" Tony says, "Anyway, back on topic. Toothless?"
"You want to show them, Bud?" I ask Toothless, he nods.
Toothless opens his mouth and shows off his gums.
"Wait a minute, when he snarled at me, he had teeth. What happ-"
Toothless unsheathed his teeth and shows off his clean, white, teeth.
The audience stared in awe.
"That's a very interesting characteristic in a reptile" Bruce states.
"Dragons also act like dogs or cats, even birds. They have many interesting characteristics" I add.
"I should look into that" Bruce says, "Do you mind if I run some test on your dragon?"
Bruce must have noticed my worried expression, because he added "They won't hurt, just some mind games, playfulness, and so on."
"Do you want to do that, Toothless? It sounds like fun" I ask.
Toothless nods.
"Ok" I reply to Bruce.
He smiles.
"Looks like we have a project, Bruce" Tony says, draping his arm lazily over Bruce's shoulders. "We're defiantly testing out his fire power!" Tony adds as Bruce escapes from Tony's hold on him.
"Please step back, someone summons me to send them up" Heimdall says politely. We all step back as Heimdall inserts his sword into the main control.
Bright light surround the Bifrost. As soon as they disappear, I saw a man and woman standing near where the lights where.
Canine and Ceceus look up and run over to the women. "Jafndaegur!" they exclaim, hugging the woman.
She laughs, "Canine, Ceceus. It's been too long" she says.
They break the hug, Canine and Ceceus look sad.
"It's been four years" Canine says.
"You left us for four years, we had nobody for two of them" Ceceus says.
"I'm sorry girls, we'll hang out a lot while I'm here. Right now I have to deliver a message to Odin" the woman says. "Bye girls, bye Loki" she says with the man following.
The woman, Jafndaegur, stops mid step, and swings around, stares wide eye at Loki. She slowly walks up to him and puts her hands on his cheeks. "Loki?" she asks.
"Hello, Jafndaegur" he says.
Jafndaegur slaps Loki across his face, "After four years of not seeing each other, all you have to say is hello?"
She slaps him again, "That's for trying to kill your brother with the destroyer,"
Slap
"that's for attempting suicide,"
Slap
"that's for leaving Canine and Ceceus alone with nobody,"
Slap
"that's for trying to take over the Earthian Realm,"
Slap
"that's for killing and brain washing innocent people,"
Slap
"that's for getting stabbed in Svartlafheim" she says.
"Are you done?" Loki asks.
Jafndaegur shakes her head and punched Loki in the gut, "And that's for being an idiot. Now I'm done" she says.
I stare wide eye at the woman, the man leans over with a smile on his face and whispers to me "she always acts like that."
Jafndaegur looked up at Loki's now read face, red from all of her slapping. Tears form in her eyes and she throws her arms around Loki's waist in a hug.
Loki looked shocked but hugs her back, arms on her shoulders since she's a head shorter than Loki.
She cries into Loki's chest, "I-I'm sorry that you were being an idiot and I couldn't help you through all that madness. And I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you like I said I would. A-and I-"
"Shhh" Loki soothes, "Listen, it's all my fault. Not yours." Loki gently pulls her away, cupping her cheeks with both hands, to look at Jafndaegur in the eye.
Her eyes were red from crying, some tears were gently running down her cheeks.
Loki gently wiped them away with his thumbs, "It's all my fault."
"What did they do to you? You would never attack a realm that you did not hate. What did they say to you?"
"I rather not talk about it, especially in front of the Midgardians."
"Nonsense, they deserve to know just as much as I deserve to know."
"Torture."
"What?"
"The Chitari tortured me, but I refused do their dirty work."
"Then what did they do?"
Loki pauses before answering. "They threatened to harm Thor, Odin, Frigga, Canine, Ceceus, and ... You." (remember, nobody knew that Loki had a son except for really close family members.)
"Those threats caused you to break?" Jafndaegur asks.
Loki nods.
"That has to be a lie" Clint says.
"He's telling the truth, I can tell" Jafndaegur says.
"I have a question" Tony says, "Are you two an item" he finishes with a grin.
Loki and Jafndaegur look at each other and burst out laughing.
"No, we are like siblings rather than a couple" Loki says.
"Besides, I'm married" Jafndaegur says.
"Your married?" Loki asks.
"Yes" she answers then gestures to the man that is with her, "This is Thorin Skjoldureik of Vanaheim."
I notice Loki glare at Thorin as him (Thorin) and Jafndaegur kiss right in front of all of us.
"It's nice to meet you all, especially you, Loki, and your two girls" Thorin says, "Jaf talks about you a lot."
"My girls? Canine and Ceceus are my nieces, I have a son" Loki says.
"Oh. I must have not made that clear... wait, YOU HAVE A SON?! SINCE WHEN?!" Jafndaegur yells.
"16 years ago" Loki says, "This is Vali."
Jafndaegur bends down a little to my eye level. "He has your eyes, he's the same height as you were when you were 16, he's got the same pale skin, and the rest of him looks like Sigrid" she observes, "Hi, I'm Jafndaegur Drekanna, Goddess of Fire Lizards and Water."
"Hi" I say.
"Speaking of family... How are our parents?" Ceceus asks.
"Yeah, I miss them" Canine adds.
Jafndaegur and Thorin suddenly look upset. "That's what the message is about that we have to share with Odin, little ones" Thorin says.
"As soon as we get permission to tell you, we will" Jafndaegur says.
"Ok, Jaf" the twins say at the same time, then hugs Jafndaegur.
Jafndaegur breaks the huge and walks out of the Bifrost with Thorin in tow.
"I don't like the sound of that" Loki says, "Vali, Canine, Ceceus, I need you to stay by the Avengers while I'm gone."
"Yes, Loki" we say.
Loki smiles and walks out of the Bifrost.
"Who was that woman that slapped Loki repeatedly?" Clint asks.
"That's Jafndaegur, she used to babysit us when Loki was busy" Ceceus explains.
"So you two were pretty much raised by Loki?" Steve asks.
The girls nod.
"I feel bad for you" Tony says.
The girls glare at him. "He is the best uncle we have!" they defend.
"Wait, what about your parents?" Natasha asks.
"We never see them much, they are really important warriors so they're in lots of battles and wars. The longest they have stayed with us was a year, that was when we were babies" Canine answers.
Natasha narrows her eyes, "No one should ever do that to children" she says.
"Uh, oh, Spider's got a weak spot for children" Tony teases.
"That's my only weakness, Stark, and don't you forget it" Natasha says threateningly.
Tony gulps and backs away next to Bruce.
Steve sighs, "Ok, lets go" he says to everyone.
The Avengers walk out of the Bifrost with us behind them. The Avengers were talking to each other about something called 'Movies' that they have seen. What is a 'Movies'?
'Hiccup, I want to go out flying' Toothless says, crouching down in a playful manner.
I laugh, "Ok, ok." I sneak up next to Canine and Ceceus, and whisper "What to go for a ride?"
They turn and look at me in confusion.
"A dragon ride?" I ask.
Canine smiles, but Ceceus looks afraid.
"What's wrong? Toothless won't hurt you" I say, looking at Ceceus.
"I'm... I might be slightly afraid of... Heights" Ceceus says, looking at the ground.
"Yeah, one time we changed into animals and I chased her, she ran up a tree. I changed back to my Asgardian form and tried to get her down. Ceceus, still in cat form, refused to let go. I had to get Loki to get her down, it was hilarious" Canine laughs.
Ceceus glares at her, "I thought we agreed to never speak of that again."
"We did, but I changed my mind" Canine says.
Ceceus hisses and Canine growls.
"Guys, come one, do you want a ride or not?" I ask, getting on Toothless.
Canine drags Ceceus over to Toothless and climbs on. Then she pulls Cece by her shirt onto Toothless, right in front of her.
Before Ceceus can climb off, I command Toothless to go. As we take off I hear Cece shriek and Canine laugh. We fly over the Avengers then higher up in the sky.
"STARK" Natasha yells.
"I'M ON IT" Tony replies. Tony does a hand signal with both hands, then his suit flies towards Tony and attaches on to him. Tony chases us in the sky. "Dang! That dragon is fast" Tony says after he couldn't catch up to us. Tony suddenly flies ahead of us, so Toothless stops and hovers in one place just like what Tony was doing right now.
"Hi, Tony" I say, waving.
He unfolds an arm and waves, then crosses his arms again.
"What can I do for you?" I ask casually.
He points to the ground, "Ground. Now."
I sigh and have Toothless land on the ground, by the Avengers.
Tony follows, then gets out of his suit.
"Are you alright?" Steve asks.
I slide off Toothless, "I'm fine."
Canine jumps off Toothless, "Me too, but you should probably be worried about Cece" she says, pointing to said person. "I think we broke her" Canine says.
Ceceus was still sitting on Toothless, staring at nothing with a shocked expression on her face.
Canine walks up to Ceceus and snaps her fingers, "Cece, you there? Hello? Ceceus! Wakey, wakey. FIRESTAR'S IN TROUBLE!" Canine shouts.
Ceceus breaks out of her shocked state, "What about Firestar?!"
"Who's Firestar" Bruce asks.
"My cat! What happened to him?!" Ceceus asks Canine.
Canine looks over Cece's shoulder, "Speak of the devil."
Cece turns around and holds her arms out once she saw him. Firestar jumps right into her arms, then she hugs him. "What's wrong boy?" Ceceus asks.
"Your no fun" Leo says as he walks to us.
The Avengers jaws drop.
Leo looks at the Avengers, "It's rude to stare, honestly, it's like you've seen a talking dog before." He turns to Firestar, "You can't run to your owner for safety, that's not how you play tag."
Firestar hisses.
"Fire! Where on Asgard did you learn language like that! And if you don't want to play just tell him" Cece says.
Firestar meows.
"I accept your apology" Leo says.
"I have two questions, who's the dog? And why is it talking?" Tony asks.
"It's not nice to judge people! Why do you have a flashlight in your chest? Or is it a night light? Are you afraid of the dark? I am. Is that why you have light in your chest? Maybe I should get one. What happens when it runs out of batteries? How do you get-"
"This is Leo" Canine interrupts Leo's rambling, "he used to be our adopted little brother but I tested a magic trick on him and permanently turned him into a dog."
"That poor boy" Steve says.
"I think it would be cool to be a dog" Clint says.
"I thought you wanted to be a hawk, Feather Head" Tony says.
"Shut up, Tony" Clint says.
"Do I ever shut u-"
Ceceus then snaps her fingers and Tony fell silent.
He continues to talk but we couldn't hear him.
"Tony, we can't hear you" Steve says.
Tony stops talking.
"I'll pay you to do that at Avengers Tower" Clint says to Cece.
Tony glares at Ceceus and sticks his tongue out at her.
Cece giggles and Canine was bursting out laughing.
We all walk back to the palace in silence (because Tony was mute).
We walk through the palace and past the throne room where Loki was exiting.
Tony saw Loki and runs to him. Tony points to his mouth, then at Cece, and tries to talk.
Loki looks at Cece, "Good job, you've perfected your silence spell" he says proudly.
Tony crosses his arms and taps his foot impatiently.
Loki looks at him, "What?"
Tony points to his to mouth.
"I don't know, I prefer you like this."
Tony's eyes widen in shock and horror.
Loki laughs, he places his hand over Tony's mouth and closes his eyes. Loki's hand glows green and he holds his hand there for a minute. Loki removes his, no longer glowing, hand from Tony's mouth.
"Did it work?" Tony asks, "It works!" Tony started to run around talking his head off.
Toothless leaves my my side and sniffs at Loki's hand that glowed. 'What happened to the pretty light?' He asks, still sniffing Loki's hand.
Loki looks down at him, "What's he doing?"
"He'w looking for the light" I say, scoffing.
"Oh, uh... No more light, see all gone" Loki says, holding up his hand.
Toothless continues to sniff him.
Loki looked very uncomfortable with Toothless next to him.
I laugh. I walk over to them, grab Loki's hand, and have him hold it out to Toothless.
Toothless instantly shoves his snout in Loki's palm. Loki relaxed and started petting Toothless on his head.
The throne room door opens again.
I look at the door and see Jafndaegur and Thorin walking towards us.
Tony is still talking but he was lecturing Ceceus on the consequences of causing him to be mute.
Canine looked bored and ready to punch his brains out.
Once Tony finished, Cece hugged him and asked for forgiveness. Tony was shocked at first, but then hugged her back.
As I was watching the heartfelt moment, I hear Jafndaegur whisper to Loki "Did you tell them yet?"
I look at Loki, he looked upset and whispered back "Not yet, I will."
Jafndaegur nodded.
"We will leave you to tell them, I am truly sorry" Thorin whispers, then he and Jafndaegur leave.
Loki sighs, "Canine, Ceceus" he says sadly.
The girls approach him, and everyone in the hall fell silent.
"I have very bad news for you."
I feel dread creep up in my heart, what could the bad news possibly be?
If you can guess what the bad news is correctly, then I will congratulate you on the next chapter! Yay! And double yay, this was the longest chapter ever!
