Sorry this has taken so long, I have been really busy and tired the past few weeks, but now Christmas is over I hope to get back into writing more x

"Mum, Dad, this is Connor" Grace said as she led Conner into the Dining room

"It's lovely to meet you" Alicia said as she extended her hand to the Young Man"

"And you too Mrs Florrick" he replied

"Connor this is my Dad" Grace said as Peter stood, although Connor was tall, Peter was taller and it was clear to see that he was intimidated by Peter. Peter didn't mind this, he wanted the young man to fear him, but he didn't want Grace to think he was being awkward. He extended his hand to Connor and made sure it was a strong handshake.

"Hello Conner" Peter said

"It's lovely to meet you Mr Governor" Connor said

"Yes, finally to meet you" Peter said releasing Connors hand.

"This is my youngest sister Louisa" Grace said as Connor shook her hand like he had with the adults

"Hi Louisa, you know Grace has told me loads about you"

"She has" Louisa said excitedly

"Yes, she told me that your favourite film is Frozen, I love Frozen too" he replied

"I do love it, you can sit next to me for Dinner" Louisa said as she grabbed his hand and guided him to his seat next to her. Grace took the seat next to Connor as Peter went to answer the door to the deliveryman for dinner and Alicia went upstairs to get Claudia.

"Sweetie Dinner is here" Alicia said as she opened the door

"I'm not hungry" Claudia responded sullenly, Alicia sat on the bed next to her.

"I ordered your favourite Lasagne, and do you really want to miss Dad questioning Connor"

"I guess that could be fun" she replied as she went downstairs with her Mum, after introducing herself to Connor she took her seat at the table next to her Father.

"So Connor, where are you planning to go to College?" Peter asked

"Well, I'm not; I think I would be better going straight into work"

"Really, you don't think a college education is important" Peter said as he looked round to find both Alicia and Graces eyes staring at him.

"I don't, I think I can learn more on the job from experience, and my Parents can't afford to send me to college" he replied

"You know that Grace is planning on going to college, she wants to be a lawyer" Peter said

"I know, and I fully support her" Connor said as he squeezed Graces hand

"But Grace will be leaving for college, Georgetown like us" Peter said

"No, wait, I might go to George Town for Law School, but I plan on going to Du Paul for my degree. English Literature I think." Grace replied

"What about Harvard, Grace you have always wanted to go to Harvard" Peter said

"Well, I changed my mind, don't you want me to stay here at Du Paul, Ill be closer to home" Grace said

"No, I want you to follow your heart, you have always wanted to go to Harvard" Peter said

Grace looked over to Alicia for help, she didn't want this argument and especially not here.

"We can discuss it later, you still have a while before you need to make any decisions" Alicia said. "So Connor, do you play any sports?" Alicia asked desperately trying to change the subject.

"Not really, I'm more into music, I'm in a band" he replied

"That must be fun" she responded before the topic changed again. Soon dinner was finished and Peter stood to start clearing the table.

"I can do that" Connor said as he stood to help, Peter smiled and opened the dishwasher.

"Well, Connor and I have got this, why don't you girls go through to the living room." Peter said, Grace smiled and followed her mother and sisters through to the living room.

"So how much do you want?" Peter asked

"For what" he asked in confusion

"To leave Grace alone, $1000, $2000?" Peter asked, Connor didn't respond, he was dumbfounded by the question

"No Sir you don't understand, I love Grace, no amount would do"

"Really, what about $10 000? That would see you through College"

"I said I don't want any money" Connor replied

"OK, well if you breath a word of this to Grace I will deny it"

"Don't worry, your secret it safe with me, it would break her heart if she ever knew" Connor responded as he shut the dishwasher and walked into the living room.

"Grace, I need to go now" Connor said as he left a gentle kiss on her cheek

"Why is everything OK?"

"Yeah, I just need to go pick Emma up from her friends" he said, making an excuse of picking his sister up sounded plausible and he knew Grace would believe it, as he helped with his sister so much.

"Oh, OK, Well I'll see you at school tomorrow" Grace responded as she said goodbye and he left.

"Did you say something to him?" Grace asked

"No, he got a phone call and said he had to leave, now how about we all watch a nice film" he said as he took his seat on the sofa next to Alicia and placed an arm around her.
