~Late that night~

After the Occult Research Club beat the Student Council in their game of dodgeball they made their way back to Old School Building. Rias look over the group with pride, just as she had expected they beat Sona's peerage and are now able to visit the Familiar Master. Rias takes a hold of Issei's hand so he will be able to use the teleportation circle with the rest of her peerage.

In a flash of red light Rias' peerage along with Zazuki and Kimiko appear in the middle of a large forest. Zazuki allows his senses to expand allowing him to sense the various monsters in the forest. Deep in the forest Zazuki senses a very familiar magical signature and smiles softly 'Tiamat' he thinks as he looks around. Shortly after a mysterious and energetic person appears looking like he's cosplaying a character from Pokemon. Zazuki smirks having known this person for a few years since he got his familiar. The guy may act like a fool be he really knew his information about the various monsters around the forest.

However Zazuki doesn't feel like dealing with his antics today "Satooji I have a migraine and would really appreciate it if you cut the whole Pokemon act" The now named Satooji deflates but nods before jumping down from the tree to land in front of the Occult Research Club. "Ruin my fun will you Zazuki" Satooji say before turning towards the rest of the club "Alright now so who here needs a familiar?"

After he says this Issei, Asia, and Kimiko step forward and Satooji looks them over then points to Kimiko "Is this one yours? I can tell she isn't a devil."

Zazuki nods "Yeah she's my acolyte and it's time for her to get a familiar" Zazuki then turns towards Kimiko and smiles in pride causing the girl to blush softly.

The Familiar Master then exclaims "Well then, what sort of familiars are you three looking for?"

Issei is the first one to respond "I want a powerful one" he then thinks inwardly 'I will need power to protect my harem'. While Issei has toned down his perversion outwardly he is still very much a pervert at heart. He just knows the limits to which he will take his perversion and now that he has the ORC as his friends he doesn't need to act more perverted to keep his only friends.

Satooji nods sagely "Good thinking young devil, a familiar is an integral part of your future"

Kimiko nods agreeing with Issei and wanting the same while Asia pokes her fingers together cutely and tentatively asks "C-can I have a cute one?"

Satooji is unable to deny the cute look the girl has and nods quickly in assent to her request causing Zazuki to facepalm. One of Satooji's weaknesses is that he is unable to tell a cute girl no even if it would be better for said girl if he did.

Zazuki turns to the group "well I'll be back in a little bit"

Rias is about to ask where but Zazuki disappears from sight causing the redhead to sigh before turning towards her peerage as they start their expedition to find two familiars for her new members.

Zazuki is walking towards the middle of the forest ignoring the sounds of the monsters hiding nearby. As he goes further in he finds an open clearing with a large blue dragon lying peacefully on the ground. Zazuki walks over to the dragon only being tall enough to come above the dragon's claw. He smiles softly "Hello Tiamat, it's been a while"

The blue dragon seemingly smiles before being surrounded in a light blue light causing it's body to be hidden. After a few moments a woman appears in the dragon's place with bright azure hair and wraps her arms around Zazuki tightly before she speaks "It's been too long"

After she says this her eyes turn slightly cold causing Zazuki to think he made a mistake as Tiamat continues "It's been three years Zazuki, three years!" Tiamat now looks enraged which Zazuki immediately realizes.

He then tries to calm her down "I'm sorry Tiamat things have been hectic lately"

This however does not help him as Tiamat's eyes narrow "For three years, that's bullshit Zazuki"

Zazuki then looks down "Tiamat I'm sorry" Tiamat then sighs softly before hugging the magus once more "Fine I'll forgive you...this time"

Zazuki lets out a sigh of relief "Thank you"

The two continue to stay there talking for an hour or so catching up on times that they missed out on in the last three years. Zazuki then reluctantly says that he has to leave but Tiamat wouldn't let him before he promised to not let that much time pass before seeing each other again which Zazuki immediately responds yes to.

Zazuki then makes his way through the forest to where he could sense his friends and finds them by the lake watching a pair of Undine causing him to shudder slightly. He then walks up behind them and says "hey"

The group instantly turns around and he can see Akeno and Kimiko giving him a light glare for leaving them so suddenly and without warning. He then tries to nip this problem for him in the bud "Sorry about that I was just visiting an old friend"

The two girls drop their glares but say nothing in return which causes Zazuki to worry and he decides to try to get Kimiko to talk to him "so Kimiko have you found a suitable familiar"

The response he got was not to his liking as all she said was "No" Zazuki sighs as he shoves his hands into his pockets before responding to Kimiko "I would recommend convincing a Fey to be your familiar they are perfect for magicians as a familiar, but they are known to be quite the tricksters so be careful."

Kimiko smiles while nodding causing Zazuki to smile in return before sighing and turning towards Issei "have you figured out what familiar you want Issei"

The only answer Zazuki got from the teen was a shaking of his head no which Zazuki responds to "Don't worry about it we have some time and you have to consider this carefully isn't that right Rias?"

Rias nods her head in assent to the Magus' words "Exactly if you or Asia don't find a familiar that is fine as well. It is not uncommon for it to take several trips here for a devil to find the perfect familiar for themselves."

"Just remember to not take this lightly familiars are an integral part of the supernatural world and shouldn't just be used for a pet. You don't always have to choose a familiar for combat though. Many decide to use their familiars to complete the more tedious of tasks" Zazuki adds on

Issei, Asia, and Kimiko nod before Issei gains a slightly pensive look "Actually we never got to see your familiar Zazuki"

Zazuki nods in affirmation "Well my familiar is not one that I would bring out into the human plane carelessly but I think I can show her now." After saying this Zazuki jumps back to give himself some room and a large black magic circle appears underneath him. The family crest in the center of the circle is the same as the small dragon tattoo that Zazuki has on his upper torso showing that it is the family crest of the Kurosuki. A large amount of smoke appears before the entire group is covered in shadow and a ferocious roar can be heard, The group looks up slowly and sees none other than a Hydra with Zazuki sitting on one of the heads. Satooji breathes out before speaking "It still amazes me that you've tamed a hydra so well"

Zazuki jumps down and sends his familiar back to her home "Well she's a good girl she just needs a firm hand to guide her from time to time"

Kimiko deadpans "That 'good girl' you're talking about is a legendary creature of destruction capable of untold mayhem. She also nearly destroyed a small town when you refused to give her a treat."

Zazuki scratches the back of his head "Well that was before she was completely trained now she's a good girl isn't that right Idora-chan" As he says that he scratches the chin of one of the head causing the large mythical beast to purr.

The entire group watches in amazement as a mythological monster of destruction just purred in front of them. Zazuki sighs and then sends the Hydra back to her home before looking towards the group "Anyways, no matter how amazing Idora-chan is, she has nothing on what my mother had as a familiar."

Satooji nods quickly "Tiamat the only female Evil Dragon King, it amazes me that she was able to convince her to become her familiar my father says he remembers being there when she did it"

Zazuki nods in affirmation "That's what made my mother amazing she was able to make the impossible possible. It's what made her, at the time, the youngest member of the Magus Conclave. Hell if it wasn't due to my relationship to her I probably would not be a Magus yet. I'm her legacy and will do everything in my power to do her justice."

The look on Zazuki's face was one of resolute conviction showing his complete resolve; it was in this moment that everyone could see why Zazuki was a Magus at his young age. He is able to inspire people with just words alone. Even in such a passionate moment he seemed as calm as the breeze, and the aura that surrounds him just pulls you in to follow him. Never let it be known that Zazuki didn't have the so called "it" factor that it takes to be a leader.

A few moments later Zazuki takes a breath "anyways it's getting late we should continue searching for familiers." They started to walk through the forest once more when suddenly a green substance falls from the trees above them. The substance starts to constrict the women of the group in a rather indecent way causing Issei's more perverted side to come out against his will as he ogles the women. Zazuki's eyes narrow slightly as the slime starts to dissolve their clothing. Summoning up a small amount of his magical power Zazuki surrounds the entirety of the slime in black flames destroying it in a second.

This causes Issei to break out of his stupor and go to hand Asia his jacket but when he goes near her he is hit with a bolt of lightning. After this a small purple dragon flies around Asia causing Satooji to gasp "T-that's a sprite dragon they're extremely rare and when they mature can be extremely powerful. I've never encountered one young enough to be tamed!"

Asia looks towards the small dragon and asks "Do you want to be my familiar?" This causes the small dragon to nod his head softly. Rias then teaches Asia how to make the familiar contract making the sprite dragon, which she named Raisei combining both lightning and incorporating Issei's name, into her familiar.

Even with several more hours of searching Issei and Kimiko were unable to find a familiar for themselves. The both of them look dejected at the fact causing Zazuki to speak up "Hey don't look so down it takes many people several tries to find a familiar. Hell it took me seven before I found Idora-chan. This just means you didn't rush into making such an important decision and are waiting for the familiar that is meant to be yours so keep your heads up."

This does a little to help the two teenagers but they still feel as if they had failed causing Zazuki to sigh knowing that he couldn't do anymore to help the two. He grabs Kimiko and Akeno before saying to the rest of the group "we'll be back in the morning" he then teleports away however nobody seems to have noticed the orange phoenix bird perched on the tree outside of the clubroom.

Sorry that this chapter isn't as long as normal however I just really wanted to get through this as quickly as possible so we could actually get into the Riser Arc as this mini filler arc was really killing my writing vibe. Hopefully I'll get some time to write but I make no promises about an update within the week but I do promise you guys I won't be as long as last time
