Here is this chapter! Inspired by Starswift99's idea! Enjoy! :3

Protective Little Brothers

"Anthony, no! Don't step in that! It's gross!" You yelp and jerk your 9-year-old brother away from the mud/sewage puddle mix that he somehow thought would be fun to step in.

He rolls his eyes. "Don't be such a party pooper, [Y/N]."

"A party pooper? You were about to step into a gross sewage puddle! I really wouldn't call that a party!" You point out. You flip your head slightly to get the hair out of your face, then continue down the street towards your apartment. You and your parents might not agree on everything, but you all agree that your little brother, Anthony, needed to spend time with his sister, not grow up never knowing who she is. So a few times a year, Anthony is shipped out to you for a week.

"So… Are there any types of adventures around this city? I don't want to be bored all week." Anthony frowns slightly.

"What types of adventures?" You ask. You could name off several adventures you've been on with the turtles, but Anthony can't know about them.

"Like fighting bad guys!" He grins. He lets go of your hand and races in front of you, throwing pretend punches and kicks along the way. You just giggle at him. "Ya know what I've always wanted to do, [Y/N]!?" He asks with a giant toothy grin.

"What's that?"

"Be a ninja!" He proclaims. You look at him for a second in shock. "Ninja's are so cool! They're here… then they're there. Then they stick you in the face with a ninja star without you even realizing it!" He cheers.

"Yay for getting stuck in the face with a deadly weapon." You say sarcastically. You get up to your apartment and you both go inside. He goes straight to the TV and turns it to some kid show about ninjas.

"See?" He points at the ninjas throwing shuriken and using double katanas and bo staffs. All kinds of ninja tech. "They're helping people."

"Ya know, not all ninja's are good though." You say, not letting on that you know that from personal experience.

"I know. Look, they're fighting a bad clan of ninjas called the Kasai," He turns to you and grins. "That means fire in Japanese." You look at him in surprise.

"You know Japanese?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.

He blushes a bit and looks away. "A bit. I always watch these shows, and I want to know what stuff means. So I look it up."

"Wow Anthony." You say, very impressed.

"But I'd give anything to be a ninja. Mom says I can't though, because ninjas aren't real. She says if I want to help people, then I can be a fireman, or a doctor, or a police officer." He falls over on his side in dismay. You look at him for a minute before an idea pops into your head. It is late at night…

"Give me a sec, okay?" You say. He nods and sits back up to watch the show. You race to the kitchen and take your shell cell from your pocket, dialing an all too familiar number.

"Hey babe!" Mikey says from the other side.

"Hey Mikey. What are you guys doing?" You ask.

"Just out on patrol. But nothing big is happening. What's up?" He asks. "I thought your brother was over or somethin'."

"He is. And this may be a really stupid idea, but… do you guys want to come meet him?" The line is silent for a bit.

"Meet him?" Mikey asks. "[Y/N], did you forget I'm a giant mutant ninja turtle?"

"No. But we got back home and he turned on the TV to some ninja show and started talking to me about how much he would love to be a ninja. I just thought that if he meets a ninja then maybe it'd restore his faith in being whatever he wants to be. My mom shot him down when he said he wanted to be a ninja." You say.

He sighs. "Hold on." You hear him talking with Leo in the background. "Leo doesn't think it's a good idea."

"He's nine Mikey. If he told people about you guys, they would just assume he had a wild imagination. And he does, so I don't think anyone would believe him. Please." You say. There's more silence and mumbling for a while.

"Fine." You hear Leo say in the background.

"Leo says okay. We'll be there in about ten." Mikey says.

"Okay! Thank you babe!" You say, then hang up the phone. You walk back into the living room to see your brother lying upside down on the couch.

"So, uhm, I have some exciting news." You say as you go to sit by him. He looks at you skeptically.

"What kind of exciting news?" He asks.

You smile a bit. "What would you say if I told you that four ninjas were on their way to meet you right now." His eyes go wide as he almost falls off the couch. He lifts himself back up though and stares at you in shock.

"I'd say whatever! It may be a stupid fantasy, but you don't have to treat me like I'm five, [Y/N]. You don't have to send people dressed in ninja costumes to make me happy." He crosses his arms.

"What? No, Anthony, I'm serious. I do in fact know four ninjas. I'm actually dating one of them…" You laugh a bit. He just continues to look at you skeptically.

"No joke?" He asks. You quickly shake your head no.

"But I have to warn you Anthony, they're not like us. They're not… human, per say." You look away from him. He then bursts out into laughter.

"Now I know you're lying. Not human?" He laughs. You just glare at him.

"Fine, if you don't believe me, you can just see for yourself when they get here." Just as if it was staged, there was a knock on the window after you said your last sentence. Anthony's head jerks towards the window, eyes wide and everything. You smirk, get up, and go to the window. You move aside the curtain to show four dark figures, hidden by the shadows. Anthony scrambles back and hides in the kitchen, cautiously peeking out of the entry way. You open the window and let the four have access to your apartment. As soon as you open the window, one of the figures kisses you on the cheek. You look over to see Mikey wink at you.

"Hey babe." He says.

"Hey guys. Thanks for coming." You say and start to hug each of them.

"Where's your little brother?" Donny asks.

"Hiding in the kitchen. I don't think he's too sure about this yet. I'll get him." You say and walk towards the kitchen. You see Anthony's head shoot back out of sight when you start walking towards him. "Anthony, come out and meet my friends. I promise they won't hurt you." You find him pushed up against the wall like some secret agent.

"They aren't human." He whispers to you. You just laugh.

"Duh, I told you. They're mutant turtles. Just come meet them. I promise you'll like them. Maybe they'll even let you hold their weapons." You tease. Anthony looks at you.

"They have weapons?" He asks.

"Duh again. They're ninjas." You roll your eyes. You grab his hand and drag him out of the kitchen. When your brother sees the turtles, his eyes go wide.

"Whoa…" He says.

"Hi Anthony! Nice to finally meet ya bro!" Mikey says with a smile at your little brother.

"Anthony, this is Mikey, Raph, Leo, and Donny. They saved me once and now they're my very close friends." You say.

"Whoa…" Anthony says again. Then he gets a determined look on his face. "Wait a minute… You said you were dating one of them!"

"I am."

"A turtle? Which one?" Anthony asks, going into 'Protective Little Brother' stage. You just roll your eyes.

"Mikey." Mikey waves at him. Anthony walks up to him and pokes him on his plastron. Mikey looks genuinely scared. You just giggle at the scene in front of you.

"You better treat my sister right. She may be a pain in the butt, but if you hurt her I'll… I'll…" Anthony then realized that Mikey had nunchucks and could probably kick his butt any day. So he changed the topic. "Are those nunchucks!?" Mikey smiles.

"Yeah, little dude. Wanna see them?" Mikey asks. Anthony nods very quickly and Mikey pulls out his "babies" and hands them to your little brother. Anthony looks like a kid in a candy store when he holds the weapons.

"Cool! Do you guys have ninja stars too?"

"Yes. But the correct term for them is shuriken." Leo says. Anthony sees his shuriken strapped to his belt and gazes in awe. Then he sees his double katana and almost faints.

"Double katana!? So cool!" He says. He then looks at the ground, suddenly shy. "Do you guys think you can teach me a few things?

"Sure we can little buddy!" Mikey says. He's about to show Anthony how to swing the nunchuck, but you stop them.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Not in the house." You say.

Anthony rolls his eyes. "Yes Mother." The guys laugh at him while you cross your arms.

"Take him up to the roof if you're going to teach him anything." You say, hands on hip. They start to head out to the roof, but Leo stops your brother.

"Anthony, before we teach you some things, you have to understand that you cannot tell anyone about us. Our existence is kept a secret. Only a few humans, including you and your sister, know we exist. You have to promise that you won't tell anyone." Leo says in his stern leader voice.

"I swear I won't. I mean, who would believe me? I'm just a kid. But I promise I won't tell. Now let's go! I'm ready to be a ninja!" Anthony grins. The guys take him up to the roof and you take the peace and quiet to start reading a book.

"If only everyone would accept them as well as my protective little brother did." You slightly laugh.
