chapter 14
Glorfindel
The twins hold my hands as we walk down to the market where I am to pick up a gift for Elrond. The twins have bagged me to take them with me and who could say no to such adorable boys.
"Ada? We almost there?" Elladan wines and pulls at my hand.
"We are close Dan"
Elrohir the more quiet one holds onto me tightly and he chews on one of his fingers. I keep them really close to me as we enter the market and make our way to the merchant I had met with weeks ago.
"Ah Glorfindel. It is good to meet again" The man greets me and smiles at the twins who hide behind me a little being shy. "Are these the twin princelings? They are very pretty My friend"
"Thank you. Is it ready?" I ask and the man pulls out a small black velvet box.
"Of course. Made just as you asked" He opens the box and I inspect the item inside. Making sure every marking is where I want them.
"It is perfect. You were telling the truth when you told me you could make this for me"
"It was a honor to do so." He hands me the box and I give my thanks. Just outside the market gates the twins and I sit down on a bench.
"What do you have Ada?" Elladan climbs onto my lap.
"If I tell you you both must not tell your Nana. ok?"
Identical heads nod and Elrohir climbs up to join his brother.
"Well I got your Nana a very special gift. One that will make him very happy." I take out the box and open it to show them.
"Whoa" They say together both amazed with the gift.
"I need you two to do something for me"
Elrond
My desk is full of paper work to do and it seems everyone needs my attention. It's days like this that I'm more then happy to hand the twins off to their father if their not in school. I sigh as I hear the door open yet again today.
"Nana?" Comes two little voices. Speak of them now. They come over and stand beside my chair.
"Yes my sons?" I don't look up from my work. "Why are you not with your Ada?"
"Ada said to come find you. He needs you" The youngest pulls at my sleeve.
"What does he need me for? I am very busy children"
"But Nana Ada said it was impotant"
"Impotant? Do you mean important?"
He nods and pulls again along with his brother.
"Alright, alright" I get up and allow them to pull me along. They take me to the gardens and make me sit on a bench. Their father nowhere in sight.
"Wheres your Ada?"
They giggle and run back to the house leaving me very confused. They brought me out here for nothing?
"Don't you look beautiful" From behind a tree come Glrofindel smiling widely.
"The twins said you needed me?"
"And that I do" He gets down in front of me and places his hands on me knees. "You know I love you and the twins more then this world right?"
I nod and he takes my hands. What on earth is going on?
"Well we've been together now for a while and we have twins sons together. Which is the best gift anyone has ever given me and I want us to be a true family"
From his pocket he takes out a box and my eyes widen. He opens it reveling a sliver ring.
"Elrond will you do me the honor of marring me?"
"Of course Fin" I smile as he places the ring on my finger and my heart beats fast. Finally he asked. I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him. "Finally. I love you so much"
"I love you too and look forward to spending forever with you and our sons"
