Guess what everyone it's Timmy's birthday! Guess what else this weekend a new origin for the kids came to me but I'll finish this before starting that, disclaimer I own nothing.
Melvin slowly got up early in the morning, it was time to begin preparations for today, she smiled at Timmy as he slept soundly and began to get everything ready. Melvin had already explained to the others what she was going to do, she got the presents and tied each one carefully to the small plastic Birthday Tree she made for her brothers. She than began getting breakfast ready, or at least the part she's allowed to do alone, she made some peanut butter toast, got a separate plate and used some blue berries to form the smile and three strawberries to form the eyes and nose, than got a small cup of orange juice. She heard the zeta tube announce Ruari, Mas, and Menos' arrival, they quickly and quietly made their way to the ops room.
Ruari excitedly whispered, "What will we be doing?"
Melvin smiled and replied, "Ruari, you carry the orange juice, Menos, how about you help Ruari with the glass, Mas, you carry the plate with toast and I'll carry the one with fruit."
They heard Ben ask, "What about me?"
They turned and saw Ben a few feet away, Melvin walked to him and explained, "You get the honor of waking Timmy up today." So they began,
they carefully walked to Timmy's room and watched in slight amusement as Ben silently walked to his brother, poked him and excitedly exclaimed, "Come on big brother it's your birthday!"
Timmy bolted up in surprise, looked down at his little brother, smiled and said, "Hi Ben."
He began jumping up and down, exclaiming, "Guess what Timmy today's your birthday! I wonder what kind of cake we'll have, oh or if it'll snow today, remember big brother they said there was a chance of snow today won't that be so much fun? I'm super excited!"
Timmy chuckled lightly, "I can tell." Melvin sat the plates on the bed and the juice on the nightstand,
Timmy asked, "Sis, what'll we be doing today?"
Melvin looked out the window before replying, "Well we'll be having our little picnic, then we'll have cake, then open your presents, then we'll play some fun games." He rubbed his hands together in excitement and began eating, she smiled at her little brother, she remembered the day he was born.
Melvin sat quietly outside in the waiting room with Lani, she asked, "Lani, will the new baby be a boy or girl?"
She smiled and replied, "I don't know my child."
She looked around and asked, "Will he have powers?"
Lani shrugged, "Probably, although it'll be a while before we're certain."
A doctor came out and said, "Congratulations Melvin, you have a baby brother, come on in and meet him." Melvin hopped off her seat and walked inside, her mom was laying on the bed, cradling a little baby wrapped in a blue blanket, she walked over and looked at him closely. He had light red hair on his head and big brown eyes, he looked all around as if trying to find something,
she smiled and whispered, "Hi, my name's Melvin, I'm your big sister."
She looked at her mom and asked, "What's his name?"
She smiled back at them and replied, "I named your brother Timmy, Melvin I want you to do something for me." She tilted her head slightly and asked, "What is it mommy?"
Her mom sat up and replied, "Watch over Timmy and do what you must to protect him."
Melvin looked back down at the fragile child who couldn't even speak yet and said, "I will mommy."
Melvin looked down at him again, he still looked so fragile, just like the day he was born.
Timmy finished his food and asked, "Melvin, why are you staring at me?"
Melvin ran her fingers gently through his hair and replied, "Just remembering the day you were born." He smiled back at her,
she got up and said, "Come on I think the other Titans are up." Timmy yawned slightly, "Yeah let's go check." Sure enough they were,
Conner drank some orange juice and said, "Hey kid, happy birthday."
Timmy replied, "Morning guys." Starfire placed something on his head,
Timmy touched it and asked, "Starfire, what is it?"
She smiled and replied, "It is a Throknar, a crown of meat used on my home planet to celebrate ones birthday. Usually after a party in which we eat cakes the person for which the party is held eats it for the good luck. You do not have to keep it on but do not forget to eat it."
He smiled, hugged her, and said, "Thanks Star."
She hugged him back and replied, "You are most welcome my little bumgorf."
He sat it on the table, Melvin asked, "Should we get the picnic ready?"
Nightwing shrugged and replied, "Sure, Kid Flash you get the cake, Cyborg is already cooking the hot-dogs, Beast Boy you should gather the fruits and vegetables, and M'gann has the drinks covered."
Speedy stretched, "It'll be nice to eat like this again like we used to in Young Justice."
Melvin looked away from the flurry of flying cups and asked, "Did you really eat like this a lot?"
Aqualad nodded and replied, "We used to have a bunch of different fruits and vegetables, sometimes pizzas, oh and we'd have some cheeseburgers, maybe even chicken or steak, and for desert we'd have either cookies or muffins, sometimes even cupcakes."
Speedy drank some water and laughed, "And don't forget Beast Boy hated tomatoes for years." Raven raised an eyebrow and asked, "Is that true?"
Beast Boy sat some strawberries down and replied, "Yeah, when I was little I had a terrible grape tomato and thus I hated all tomatoes for oh about six years I think, one of the promises I made to Tula was that I'd eat all of my tomatoes, still going strong with them." Kid Flash zoomed in with a large cake that looked like the tower, the frosting made it look even more real. They lit five red candles on it and Beast Boy lifted him up to blow them all out. Before he blew them out they all sang

And he blew them all out, Timmy smiled with glee as they started cutting the cake,Melvin smiled to, it had been years since she saw such a big smile on his face.
Melvin ate the rest of her food and asked, "Is it time for presents? Timmy how about we go check the Birthday Tree."
He jumped up and replied, "Can't wait." She brought him to the tree that they hid in the kitchen,
Timmy gasped, "So many presents!"
Melvin laughed a little, "Well come on let's move it to were everyone can see it."They pulled it to were the others could see it and began untying his presents, as he did that Melvin thought about his very first word.
Melvin gave the little blue blanket to her eleven month old brother and sighed, "I can't wait for you to talk Timmy, we'll have even more fun when you begin to walk and talk, I can start teaching you how to run, play games, read, write, and so much more." Timmy began grabbing her hand and tried putting it in his mouth,
she laughed, "Timmy my hand isn't a toy." As if he understood what she said he put her hand down but still held onto it, she ran her hand gently through his hair causing him to laugh,
she smiled and said, "I don't care if you can't speak, your still a lot of fun."
He crawled in front of her and she asked, "What is it?"
He smiled and laughed, "Sissy!"
She gasped a little in surprise and asked, "What was that?"
Timmy patted her arm as he replied, "Sissy!"
She smiled and asked, "Do you know who I am?"
He grabbed her hand again and exclaimed, "Sissy!" Her mom and Lani came in,
Lani asked, "What's up Melvin?"
She turned to them and replied, "Watch this mommy, Lani."
She turned back to Timmy and asked, "Who am I?"
He held her hand as he replied, "Sissy!"
Lani gasped in surprise, her mom sat next to him and asked, "Can you say mommy?"
He looked at her then back to Melvin and exclaimed, "Sissy!"
She sighed, "Guess he doesn't know the word mommy yet, oh well we'll teach it to him."
She turned to Melvin and said, "I'm still so proud of both of you."
Melvin looked at her in confusion and asked, "Why are you proud of me?"
Lani sat with them and replied, "You showed so much love towards your brother that he recognized you as his sissy."
Timmy opened his first present that was wrapped in green wrapping paper, it was from Nightwing and Robin, it was a toy bo staff and toy birdarangs, Raven got him a sketch pad and a bunch of colored pencils, Jericho got him a little light brown toy guitar, Kole got him a grey toy kitten, Pantha got him a book on counting, Red Star got him a book on mythical creatures, Herald got him a golden toy trumpet, Gnarkk and Wildebeest had made him a toy drum, Bushido and Rose got him a plastic sword set, Starfire got him a brown toy pony with little white spots on his body, Cyborg made him a little toy robot dog that can sit and do all kinds of tricks, Ben gave him a drawing with a bunch of balloons around him, Melvin gave him a scrap-book of all the Titans together, Thunder and Lightning got him all twelve seasons of his favorite show titled Pikmin Adventures, Bumble Bee got him toy stingers, Duela got him the movie Tangled, M'gann got him the movie Frozen, Conner got him a little leather jacket, Jinx and Kid Flash made him a mask that looked like Doctor Fate's with a note that read here's your first souvenir. Rauri and Speedy made a bow and arrow, well more like Speedy made them and Rauri picked out the colors, Argent and Batgirl made him a cute red cape and mask like Nightwing's, Blue Beetle got him a Batman shirt, Kilowatt got him a Flash shirt, Hot Spot got him a toy giraffe, Mirage and Flamebird got him a whole season of his second favorite TV series Kirby Right Back At Ya', Aqualad got him a little book on marine life, Mas and Menos got him a tiger mask, and Beast Boy got him a bunch of books on animals, including a few that he wrote himself after interacting with them.
He smiled and said, "Thanks guys, I love my gifts."
He stood up and asked, "Can I go to the roof?"
Melvin smiled and replied, "Sure but get your coat on. I'll be up there later, also stay away from the edge." He nodded in understanding, he got his big green coat on and went outside, even in the daytime the view from the top of the tower was amazing. It felt like he could see everything up there, let go of all his worries, he felt free up on the roof of the tower, suddenly he felt something cold and wet on his hand. He looked down and saw a tiny white thing melt on his hand, he looked up and saw a bunch of the white powder coming from the sky, he tried to catch it but couldn't, it just kept melting in his hand. He heard the door open and saw Melvin watching him,
he asked, "Sis, what is this stuff?"
She pulled her purple coat tighter around her as she replied, "It's called snow."
He gave her a confused look and asked, "Snow, what's snow? Where does it come from?"
She zipped up his coat as she replied, "You remember how on TV sometimes characters would crush ice up and eat it, well those were snow cones, snow is really just frozen water. It freezes whenever it gets super cold then turns back to rain when it gets warm which is why you can't catch it."
He looked back up at the snow and said, "It's really pretty."
She smiled and replied, "It really is, I'm so glad that you can finally see it."
He looked out at the city and asked, "What did you think of your first snow fall?"
She smiled fondly at the memory and replied, "Well here's what happened."
A four-year old Melvin ran inside her friends' home and asked, "What's happening?"
M'gann looked at the snow on her boots and replied, "It looks like you got snowed on."
Melvin looked confused so Rose asked, "Have you ever seen snow before?"
Melvin shook her head and replied, "No, what is it?"
M'gann helped her get her boots off and explained, "When water gets really cold it freezes and falls from the sky, thus creating snow."
Timmy excitedly asked, "What happened next?"
She zipped her coat up and replied, "We had hot chocolate."
Timmy gave a confused look and asked, "What's hot chocolate?"
She brushed a little snow out of his hair and replied, "Come on I'll show you, besides it's getting a little too cold out here." He nodded in agreement, they walked back into the tower and saw that everyone had noticed the snow,
Melvin asked Cyborg, "Can we have some hot chocolate? Timmy's never had any before."
Cyborg walked over to the kitchen as he replied, "Sure, just give me a few minutes." A few minutes later the siblings sat at the table, as Melvin drank her hot chocolate Timmy eyed his suspiciously,
Melvin smiled and said, "Go on Timmy, it won't bite, it'll be hot but it won't bite. I promise if you don't like it you don't have to drink it."
He picked his cup up and replied, "Ok."
And he began drinking it, once he sat it back down Melvin asked, "How'd you like it?"
He smiled and replied, "It's really good."
She smiled back and said, "Glad you like it."
She ran her fingers gently through his hair and asked, "Do you remember the story I told you about the first day you began walking, you already were talking but you didn't walk yet. We were all worried but mom just kept saying that you'd walk when you wanted to. When you did walk you didn't just walk you ran, you ran right to me than to mom than to Lani. It made us so happy that you would run to us when you were scared or happy or just because." She had been worrying about since she got there, should she really worry about someone who might be dead?
He smiled and replied, "I'll still always run to you sis." She smiled back, no she couldn't put them through the pain of having their hope taken from them, not now. The day came and went and now it was time for bed, she tucked her brothers in and just hummed,
she kissed her brothers' foreheads and whispered, "Happy birthday little brother. Sweet dreams."
That was extremely cheesy, I hope you liked it though. Also she won't give up permanently on Garfield, she just feels she has more important things to worry about.
