Sorry, this one's back on the ship. Whoopsies :D

GIBBY'S POV

Sam and Freddie have been gone for a long time. Like a whole week, even! Either Sam's avoiding me or Freddie's trying to keep her all to himself.

At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Honestly, everyone thinks I'm only worried about Sam. That's not true, one bit. I want to know where they are too, and after a week, Carly and I are starting to go nutso.

"Do you think maybe they've gone overboard?"

"No, that's impossible. This ship is supposed to be really safe."

"But Carly, I-"

"Gibby, if they went overboard, they're dead for sure. And they did not. Go. Overboard. Okay? They just…" she trailed off

"Carly, I don't want to believe it either, but it's the most logical choice. Nobody can find them on the ship, nobody's heard of them, and the last time we saw them was during a huge storm! They were also out on the deck which the captain told the entire ship no to do! Why can't you see this?"

We sat in silence, and just as I suspected, the tears started coming. Not Carly's, well, not just hers, but mine too. I pulled her into a hug and felt her begin to cry harder. I knew it wasn't just Sam and Freddie. She was under a lot of stress.

I mean, Spencer is afraid of leaving her alone in the room anymore, and someone has to be with her. She knows it too, though we're not allowed to tell her. She doesn't want anybody to worry about her, and yet we all do. She also has to worry about doing a commercial for this place and being happy while her friends may be dead at sea. That's a free pass for a good amount of stress right there.

"Carly, you want to get some dinner with me tonight?"

"Sure, Gib."

Once Spencer got back, I left. I needed to get ready for Carly's distraction.

I'm not sure how to spot hot boys, but I figure I'll just go by what I've seen Carly and Sam swoon over through the years. I walk out to the pool and take a good look.

"Okay. Abs, flippy hair, tan, not short." I mutter, and start my search.

I found a few guys, but none of them seemed just right. Obviously, they're about to go to dinner with a girl who is possibly depressed and might not have showered in a few days, depending on how fancy she thinks this dinner might be. They can't be jerky.

And then I found Evan.

"So, how'd you like to go on a bit of a double date with me and my friend?"

"What's her name? She is a girl, right?"

"Yes. And it's Carly."

"Okay, see you then!"

I got his number and texted him the restaurant and time. Then I set off to find someone for me. I also texted Spencer to try and convince Carly to take a shower. I mean, I feel like she'll really like this guy.

I was cutting it pretty close but I found someone almost perfect.

She had wavy blonde hair, big blue eyes, killer curves, and she was kind of on the short side.

But she was waaaay too nice.

"So, Allison."

"You can call me Ally… If you wanna"

"Riiiiight. So Ally, you, me, this guy named Evan, and my friend Carly. Dinner tonight?"

"Like a double date?"

"Yes."

"Sure! That sounds cool! You can text me… if you wanna!"

"Okay"

"Okay!"

"Bye"

"Bye!"

I walked away as she giggled and sipped her fruity pink drink. Ugh. Pink.

Carly better love me for this…

It's thanksgiving here in old Canada, so happy thanksgiving! xx
