Naruto X

AN: Have I got plans in mind and boy, I'm having a blast.

To answer a review: Sakura? A saiyan? What even gave you that idea? I'm amused as all hell, but trust me when I say there are no saiyans or even any DBZ references at all in this story.

Naruto stood in the giant hallway four days later with all the other genin teams with wide eyes and a serious case of worry. Sakura had confided in him that she had a split personality that was more aggressive than her, but generally felt the same way she did and for some reason, both of them really liked fighting and killing.

Then there was the sound team, all of them had been utterly destroyed, one of them was even killed, yet all three had shown up much to their shock. The kunoichi was alive and glaring at Sakura, the two boys were bandaged up but the one guy had his arm attached again.

Naruto had later learned that Orochimaru had an encounter with Anko and some ANBU shortly after their encounter thanks to him tipping her off and the snake sennin had very nearly been captured, then they learned that Kabuto's remains had vanished.

Then the sand team had shown up and surprisingly the two other ninja with the redhead approached Naruto and tried to talk to him, but he gave them short, one answer replies or just nods if he didn't completely brush them off to begin with. He didn't want to seem overly rude but at the same time he didn't want to give them any information about himself so they could tell Gaara.

Then the other leaf genin were avoiding his team like the plague. If a single one of them appeared, the others would quickly back away or find somewhere else to be. It was quite honestly a bit annoying, even for Sasuke who had woken up after some time was getting the cold shoulder from Ino.

He had almost smiled in joy until he realized the guys were doing the same to him and his sour mood had returned. The only ones that would give them the time of day were Shikamaru, Shino and Hinata and it wasn't for very long as Kiba would get upset and drag them off or Ino would drag Shikamaru away despite his complaints.

It wasn't until near the last day when finally team 9 had shown up and was actually engaging them in conversation. Well, two of the members were, the third one refused to socialize with anyone.

Naruto had found out that the team consisted of Tenten Higurashi, Rock Lee and Neji Hyuuga. Tenten thanked Naruto for helping her out during the written test which had sparked up the other boys remarks about Naruto's flames of youth burning brightly.

He had then learned that the boy was incapable of using chakra like himself, however he more than made up for it with his taijutsu training while Tenten was more of a weapons enthusiast.

Then the oddest thing happened, Neji had actually walked up to them at one point and thanked them for assisting his team and told Naruto good work on rooting out Kabuto. At the boys questioning gaze, he said it was obvious that the man was a spy once you picked up all the pieces and it was unfortunate that the rest of the genin didn't see it that way.

And that was the entirety of their conversation, three different sentences before the boy excused himself and they hadn't seen him since. He had spoken to Tenten and Lee several other times and finally the last day of this exam was here and to say he was surprised at the participants was an understatement.

There was team 7, 8, 9, 10, sound and sand. Naruto was sure more would have made it, but he shrugged mentally. What worried him more was the sound team was here. Sighing, he listened to the hokages speech about the tournament and the reason for holding it each year. Then another man, some sickly jounin who could barely make it through a sentence without coughing, began to explain how there were too many of them participating, so they would be holding a small tournament here to cut their numbers down once more.

A giant monitor appeared and randomly began to go through all of the names. The screen suddenly came to a halt and the names displayed were Naruto Uzumaki vs Kiba Inuzuka.

The boy let out a howl of "Easy win!" as everyone else moved to the upper level and stood by the guard rails. Naruto stared blankly at the boy, trying to resist the urge to smile. The boy had not gotten any stronger or learned any new jutsu apparently. Easy win indeed.

The announcer gave a shout of "Go" and Kiba cracked his knuckles. "Ready for the beat down you traitor?" he said, suddenly the room felt cold. "And how am I a traitor?" Naruto asked as he gave the other boy a small smile, it practically screamed trap, but the boy ignore it.

"You killed a fellow leaf ninja in cold blood right in front of everyone. I'm amazed you're still taking the exam honestly." He said, making Naruto's smile turn into a small twisted smirk. "You're ignoring the fact that he had confidential information on my entire team. If he was as innocent as you claim, then why aren't I not locked away in a prison for treason?" he said and the boy shook his head.

"I'm just saying what I saw." The boy said as he got into a battle stance before leaping at Naruto and suddenly twirling around. "Fang over fang!" he yelled as he turned into a vortex and flew at Naruto, who stepped aside at the attack and watched as Kiba turned around and flew back at him.

Naruto avoided this one before he finally raised his buster gun. The eyes of a few figures rose up in panic, was Naruto really going to hit Kiba with an attack so powerful? Then when he flew at Naruto again, Naruto said "Storm tornado." And fired, suddenly a purple tornado appeared and flew right at Kiba.

The poor boy stood no chance and was engulfed by the tornado, getting sliced and spun around in circles before the tornado collided with the wall and the boy was slammed into it upside down before he fell onto his head and then he was lying face down.

Akamaru growled at Naruto who turned and glared at the dog. "You want some too pup?" he asked, making the little dog whine before running to Kiba. Medics appeared on the scene and put the boy in a stretcher as the announcer coughed and declared Naruto the winner.

As he went back up to the stands, he got a few cheers and pats on the back from his team and sensei. Sarutobi looked on with a smile, Naruto defeated the boy with a single attack and had made sure not to kill him. He had to admit he was worried for any opponents' safety where Naruto was concerned, but it seems his fear was misplaced.

"Next match is Tenten versus Temari." Hayate called out and the two kunoichi ran out to the field. As they began the match, Tenten threw a kunai and it was deflected instantly and Temari's fan was slightly open. "I'll give you until all three moons are out before I attack you back." She said in a confident tone. She was about to throw more weapons at her but a voice stopped her.

"That didn't work the first time, what makes you think it will work a second time?" and she looked up towards the stands where Naruto was and she lowered her weapons. He was right, annoying, but right. She had been prepared to use her ultimate attack but his words were ringing in her head.

Instead, she pulled out a scroll and pulled out two curved swords and charged Temari, who blinked at the new tactic before she brought her fan up to defend herself from the attacks.

With Tenten going on a close range offensive, Temari was unable to use her fan to the full extent and Tenten was faster than she was, not to mention using two weapons, the Suna girl was hard pressed to retaliate.

She tried to jump away but Tenten stayed on her and didn't allow the girl to get away. Taking a chance, Temari swung her closed fan at Tenten like a mace, who ducked under the attack before tripped the girl and then leaping on her and putting the blades by her throat. "Yield!" she commanded and Temari fought the urge to curse. "Fine, I forfeit." She said and there were cheers amongst the crowd as Tenten made her way back up the stairs.

Kankuro gave a small "Hm." When Temari made it back upstairs. "Guess those leaf brats are stronger than we thought eh?" he asked, but silence was his only reply. The screen began to flash through names again and suddenly it landed on Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka.

Both girls went down to the floor and Ino smirked. "Once I beat you, Sasuke will see that I'm the right girl for him." She mocked, but to her surprise Sakura remained quiet and got into a stance she'd never seen her do before.

"What's wrong forehead? Is all that disgusting muscle you built making you hard of hearing?" she asked hoping to get under the girls skin but Sakura continued to be silent as the announcer shouted "Go." And the match was on.

Sakura didn't move and was waiting for Ino to initiate the fight, but the blonde didn't move either and instead opted to throw some weapons at the girl who dodged them. Sakura didn't show it but she was getting annoyed at Ino not doing anything and the blonde was visibly upset that Sakura wasn't talking to her.

"Not gonna move huh? Then that saves me some trouble." Ino said as she raised her hands to make some hand signs, but Sakura had thrown a kunai at the blonde who moved out of the way. Finally glad she got the girl to move, Ino ran in and attempted to attack Sakura who instead deflected her hand away and with both of her hands, shoved them into Ino's shoulders and sent the girl flying back and landing on her butt.

"Owww. What the hell, Sakura?" She said as she stood up and charged in again to give a kick, only for Sakura to grab her leg under one of her arms and Ino was suddenly punched in the face and sent flying onto her back.

Realizing that she was probably not going to take Sakura in a hand to hand fight, she pulled out a kunai and in a motion that made Sakura raise her eyes in shock, Ino sliced off her ponytail and threw the hair right at her.

She blinked and got out of her stance, not entirely sure how to remark to this when Ino suddenly made some hand signs and her discarded hair began to glow, Sakura stared at it and Ino began to make hand signs for a jutsu she WAS familiar with, but when Sakura attempted to move out of the way, she found herself unable to.

"Mind transfer jutsu!" Ino shouted and Sakura suddenly felt her world go dark. Ino's body slumped to the ground and Sakura slowly stood up before her eyes flashed and Ino was pushed back into her own body and she sat up with a start.

When she looked at Sakura, the girl was different. Her eyes had taken on a red hue and bits of her hair had changed white, but that grin on her face, that insane smile that promised pain was what scared her and Sakura spoke in what sounded like a slightly demented tone of voice. "Well thanks for that swine. Pushing the goody goody down let me come out to play for a bit." Sakura said, making everyone wonder what was going on, but Naruto to gasp and he began to pray for Ino's safety.

"What on earth are you talking ab-" she was cut off when Sakura pulled out a kunai, sliced off her training weights and charged across the room so fast that she was nearly a blur to the blonde girls eyes.

Sakura had grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up with one hand, which was starting to terrify the blonde. "H-Hey Sakura…don't you think you're taking this a bit too far?" she asked, which made the girl let out a blood chilling laugh that slowly got louder.

"We're ninjas you swine. There is no such thing as honor or playing fair. If you wanted that, you should have become a samurai." She said before she slammed a knee into the blondes gut and flung her across the room. As Ino was rolling, Sakura had appeared next to her and launched her again with a kick to her ribs.

"Don't you get it? Our job requires us to hurt other people and do things normal people don't want to, not play dress up and argue with one another." She said as she walked over and put a foot on Ino's chest who was trying to hold her coughing back as she stared up in horror at the girl.

"B-But Sakura…I thought you became a kunoichi to be with Sasuke…" she said and the girl laughed. "Maybe the goody goody did at first, but she got over him. Me, I never liked that prick to begin with." Sasuke looked taken aback by that comment, no girl had EVER spoken about him like that before.

It was bold. He liked it.

Ino let out a groan as Sakura started to press her foot down onto her chest. "Why are you talking like you aren't Sakura?" she gasped out, which made the Haruno smirk more. "Because pork chop, she has a split personality problem she was keeping under control until you decided to let yourself in. With her subdued thanks to your jutsu, I was able to take over." She said before she lifted her leg and stomped Ino in the chest before kicking her again, making the girl roll onto her belly and groan.

"Don't you see pig? You sowed your fate when you used that jutsu. Sakura was holding back because you used to be her friend. I have no such restraints because we aren't friends." She stated before she grabbed Ino by the hair and lifted her up before delivering more punches to her stomach and side which the girl did a poor job of trying to block. Then Sakura threw her to the ground and let out a sinister chuckle before she pulled out her kunai and began to advance towards the girl, but Hayate jumped in front of her. "Ino Yamanaka is no longer able to battle. You win, so back off." He said and she blinked at him and shrugged.

"Saved by the ref, next time we encounter each other Ino, you better be stronger than that." She said as she walked back up the railing. Once she made it up to her team, she let out a deep sigh as her eyes turned back to green and the white strands in her hair changed back to pink and she stumbled forward, but her teammates caught her.

"What…just…happened?" she asked and they propped her against the wall. "You won." Naruto said as he turned to watch the board scroll through the names again. It stopped suddenly it stopped on Chouji Akamichi and Dosu Kinata.

Naruto turned away and watched Sakura rub the sides of her head. "Geez. I feel so out of it right now. How did I win if Ino used her clan jutsu?" she asked. Naruto was quiet for a bit, he looked at Sasuke who nodded before he let out a sigh.

"Your other half kicked Ino out and took over your body and finished the fight. She wasn't nice about it but here's hoping she got through to Ino to start taking her training more seriously." He said and the girl let out a sigh. "I was afraid of that, but if it helps Ino then it's the least I can be glad about." She said getting a nod from her teammates, when they heard "The winner is Dosu." they turned around and saw an unconscious Chouji being taken away by medics and the boy from sound getting back to his own team.

The scoreboard showed the next few names as Rock Lee and Gaara of the sand. The fight was intense, that was putting it lightly. Narutos' digital eye was able to keep up with the action but even he had to admit he would be hard pressed to keep up with Lee once his weights were off.

After beating Gaara down to near nothing, the boy went nuts and completely squashed down Lee's leg and arm. He saw that Gaara was getting ready to finish the boy and charged out onto the field in front of the sand, grabbed onto Lee and activated his shield, which pushed the sand away from both of them. "He's had it. Proctor, call the match!" Naruto shouted and Hayate gave a nod. "Rock Lee is unable to continue, Gaara, stand down." He warned. The redhead looked extremely pissed that he was unable to kill the boy but stood down.

Naruto glared at the boy as he left. He knew he was crazy but mentally unstable? That put things on another level entirely. The medics took Lee and the next names on the board were Shikamaru Nara and Kin Tsuchi.

As Naruto passed Shikamaru he whispered "Be careful, we've killed her once already." He said, making the shadow user pause and his eyes widen before muttering "Troublesome." and continuing down to the center.

"Next match, begin." The proctor said. Naruto was worried about the match but Shikamaru was intelligent, he trusted him to know how to deal with this girl and he quietly slipped out and made his way to the medic waiting room.

There he saw Ino bandaged up and when she saw him, she looked slightly scared for a moment before forcing herself to calm down when she noticed him making his way towards her. "You okay?" he asked and she blew some hair out of her face. "Fantastic considering I just got the beating of a lifetime from my old best friend." She said and Naruto simply sighed and shook his head.

"I never expected you to be gutsy enough to try that move in a one on one. But believe me when Sakura, the calm Sakura, says that she's sorry about what happened and she hopes you decide to up your training. She wasn't joking when she said the world is dangerous." His illusion flickered and showed his true form, the half robot, half human boy. Ino gasped when she saw it. "Trust me, I know from experience."

"What…what happened?" she asked. Naruto gave a small sigh before he began to give her a quick recap of everything that went on. He noticed that at one point the medics bought in the girl from sound, but he didn't pay that much mind. By the time he was finished, Ino was sitting up and staring at the boy in shock.

"That's just…completely unbelievable!" she said, Naruto however held up his buster gun. "You saw what I did to Kiba. You see my body now. As unbelievable as it is, it's the complete and total truth." He said, making the girl shake her head before she lay back down.

"That's just…a lot to take in at once, you know?" she said, making him nod. He suddenly heard noise and turned around. A brutally beaten Hinata was brought in on the stretcher, making the boys eyes widen in shock and Ino to gasp.

Who in the world did this? The quiet Hinata looked like she had been beaten to within an inch of her life! He quickly walked over near the medics. "What happened? Who did this to her?" he asked, and one of the medics answered without even a glance his way. "Neji Hyuuga. Shame that, they're both cousins, but I guess the hatred the branch clan feels for the main branch exceeds even blood." He said, making Naruto's eyes widen in shock.

This would not stand. He immediately turned around and made his way out to the arena. Once he had made it back, he saw a smug Neji standing by his team who were giving him all sorts of grief over what he had done.

Naruto then walked right up to him, making the boy open his eyes. "You went too far. I don't know how you could possibly do that to your own family member, but I won't let that stand." He said, making the Hyuuga raise an eyebrow.

"It was her fate to lose to me. Once a failure, always a failure." He stated and Naruto had never felt so angry in his life. "You're worse than I thought. Seems you need an attitude adjustment from the school of hard knocks. So you better get ready in the next part of the tournament because Naruto sensei is here and class is in session." He said, making the boy chuckle.

"You are more foolish than I took you for. You do not even comprehend the power of the Hyuuga." He said in an arrogant tone and Naruto let out a small laugh of his own which confused the boy.

"Neji, take a look at my body with your byakugan." He said in an amused tone. The Hyuuga gave him a questioning look before activating his byakugan and he suddenly gasped.

This boy…Naruto didn't have hardly any chakra points and what ones he did have had hardly any chakra in them. There was no way…his body should not be able to function! "What trickery is this?" Neji asked as he continued to look at his system with the byakugan.

"This is what happens when an enemy decides his idea of fun is to completely mangle your body just because he can. I can no longer use chakra, so I had to find other means to continue my ninja career. You might think having no chakra is a drawback, but so far it's been a huge boon. For starters…genjutsu can't work on me." Naruto said, making everyone listening in look shocked.

"Second is taijutsu is the only chance you have. But considering what your style focuses on, I'd say you're a lost cause." He said, making the boys eyes narrow in anger. "And what of the ninja arts such as water walking and tree climbing, surely you cannot do anything stealth related as well." The boy countered and Naruto raised an eyebrow at him. "What do I need to walk on water for if I can fly?" he asked, causing everyone to look at him like he was crazy, except for his own teammates of course.

"You're bluffing." Neji said and Naruto hopped into the air and suddenly began to float making everyone step back in total shock. "Why would I lie?" he said as he landed back on the ground. Truthfully he could only stay in the air for a short time frame, but they didn't need to know that.

"Why would you inform me of all of this? Surely deceiving me would have been the better option?" Neji asked, honestly he was bewildered by this boys actions, which only made Naruto smirk.

"Because, defeating you in one hit would be boring and I'm going to make you pay for what you did to Hinata. So I want you to make me work for it." He said, making the boy before him actually sweat.
