Chapter 14

Naraku had made sure to add a spy in Sesshomaru's castle, after he hadn't had the opportunity to take Kagome away he knew that he needed to find another way. He was hoping to find a time where the Miko would be alone, but then Inuyasha showed up, and he realized that this was not an option anymore. He needed an advantage. So when his spy had told him about all the drama the young Miko was causing, he realised he could use this to his advantage. He sent his newest incarnation, she could change form to anything she wanted. Which made it very difficult to decipher which was the authentic version. She was to report, and when Sesshomaru and Kagome let their guard down, she would strike. His plan was evil and he knew with the help of the form changing incarnation. When he had destroyed the Lord of the west, he would then swoop in and steal Kagome and begin his ultimate plan. Kagura stood at the door of the castle waiting for his instructions.

"Kagura!" he called out.

"Naraku?" she asked with almost venom in her voice. She bowed down and waited for his reply.

"When the time is right, we will attack the west and bring the Miko back!" Kagura looked up towards him. "What use is the Miko in this, i thought you wanted Kikyou?" she asked curious of his intentions.

"Kagome appears to be a lot more strong then the dead priestess. I am sure she can be turned and we of some very good use. Meera has already given me enough information on the west. It looks like Kagome has already began to cause Drama within those walls. We don't even need Meera to do that much work." He voice dripping with callousness. He walked up to Kagura and grabbed her by the face to look into his own. "When the time is right, Meera will use her special abilities, and we shall swoop in and take the Miko. Then we will destroy Inuyasha for all and have all the jewel shards." He laughed evilly and he dropped Kagura's face and she hit the ground. She looked at him and knew that with his new incarnation Kagome and and the demon Lord would have no hope in hell.

Whispers had began in the castle about her and Sesshomaru. Many of the demons and demoness could not believe it. She had stayed with Rin, her friends sticking to either her room or the gardens away from constant stares.

Kagome had known she would have been the talk of the castle ever since she was caught; however she didn't realize that all the demonesses would be out to get her. She hadn't seen Sesshomaru since the day she walked out of his bed chambers. She hadn't seen much of anyone other then Sango, Inuyasha, Miroku and Rin. She knew that there was another ceremony for the choosing of the mate to be taken tonight. She wasn't sure who Sesshomaru would pick Sierra and Geru had made it official and were now happily courting. Kagome couldn't see Sesshomaru picking anyone of the other choices.

Kagome looked herself in the mirror, she had gone for a more extravagant kimono this time, her hair was loose and curled. She had small amounts of makeup on her face. Something she had brought from home. She took one more look into the mirror and sighed. She knew she was being silly hoping to get Sesshomaru's attention, but she wanted him and she had realized how much she really wanted him.

"Kagome?" Inuyasha called to her, she opened the door to him looking dashing as ever in his beautiful white kimono. She smiled at him. He just stared at her, looked her up and down, he was in shock at how beautiful she looked. "Kagome your beautiful." he smiled and looked down in embarrassment. "Thank you." He grabbed her hand and got her to look up to his face. "Sesshomaru is an idiot if he doesn't want you. I was an idiot!" he said and she nodded.

"Thanks Inuyasha!" he nodded and he took her down to the main hall where the festivities were to begin.

Everyone had dressed in the finest Kimonos for this accousion. Sesshomaru was going to pick his mate and everyone had dressed for this one occasion. Sesshomaru stood by the front of the cowed watching everyone coming into the hall. He spotted Sierra and Geru and noticed how in love they were with one another. He was seeing someone he hadn't noticed until he saw her.

Kagome walked in with her sapphire blue kimono and her beautiful wavy hair, she looked beautiful. She was glowing at she was on her brothers arm. He wanted her, his whole body felt like it was on fire, and he knew he wanted her, more than he wanted anything in his life. He had noticed how much he had began to fall for the Miko. She was caring, understanding, patient, kind and most importantly beautiful.

He couldn't stop himself, he walked past all the people standing there and went straight up to Kagome and Inuyasha. Kagome had started laughing at something his brother had told him. His jealousy spiked he hadn't decided who he was going to pick out of the two for his mate. He didn't need to now, because he realised he was going to ask Kagome.

She had stopped laughing and noticed Sesshomaru was standing before her and Inuyasha. She smiled sweetly at him and noticed how stoic he looked.

"Sesshomaru, have you finally figured out who you will be choosing?" he nodded and looked at Inuyasha. "I need the Miko for a moment and then you can resume in your chatter little brother." he nodded and let Kagome's arm go. Sesshomaru grabbed her hand and pulled her to the front. Kagome shocked at his abruptness.

"Good evening everyone, and thank you for all coming, I have searched for the perfect Mate for this Sesshomaru. Out of three contestants i have finally made my choice." Kagome stood their unsure why she was standing in front of everyone.

"Sierra, Lana and Kayla please come stand beside me" They all came up beside him. Sierra was wearing a green Kimono, Kayla a yellow and Lana was wearing a seductive red Kimono. It showed her breast off making her look more like a tart than anything.

"Sierra, had decided she likes my General Geru more, and i would like to wish then good luck in their courting." She nodded and walked towards Geru they kissed sweetly. Kagome smiled at Geru as he smiled to her.

"Kayla, Lana. Thank you for coming, it was nice meeting both of you." He looked sternly at Lana. "I however am not taking either one of you as my mate." Everyone gasped in shock, and Kagome turned to Sesshomaru. Before she could say anything he pulled her close to his body. "As shocking as this is to me, Kagome shall be my mate!" she turned to her and gave her a look that was sultry and yet stern in a way to say. ' Your not saying no.' Kagome looked shocked and everyone gasped in shock again. Kagome looked deep into Sesshomaru's eyes. "Really?" he nodded and before she could say another word, he brought his lips to her in a passionate kiss.

Lana watched in horror as the man she wanted and worked so hard to entice him. "You gotta be kidding!" she screamed. "She is human!" she yelled at Sesshomaru. He turned around and snapped at the demoness standing before him. "Yes, and yet more stronger, caring, and beautiful then you!" he then decided he had enough of prying eyes and dragged Kagome to the corridor leading to his bed chambers.

"Wait Sesshomaru!" she called out to him. He stopped but pulled her to him and kissed her fiercely. "Sesshomaru." she breathed between kisses.

"What Miko, all i thought about is having you in my bed again." she nodded and smiled at him.

"I know, me too, but Sesshomaru are you sure about this, i am human. I won't live as long as you." he nodded and kissed her again.

"Yes, and when you finally leave me, i'll find a demoness to produce me heirs and to live with me until i die. But right in this moment, right now, i want you Kagome." She looked at him sadly. "Do you think i want to leave you? Do you think i want someone else having you!" she breathed into him. "I want to give you everything, i don't want you to regret this Sesshomaru and i don't want to be growing old when your still young." He nodded. "Kagome you think to much. Please come to my bed, i need you!" she nodded and followed him into his bed chambers.

Kagome and Sesshomaru had spent the next few hours in the bed chambers making passionate love. Kagome couldn't be more happier. Lord Sesshomaru the cold, heartless and stubborn demon she had ever met had picked her over all those other beautiful women and demoness. He had made love to her multiple times. Passionate, mind consuming love. She couldn't stop wanting him. She had fallen asleep as she usually did with her body tucked into his, his arm draped over her hips. They had lied like this for hours. Sleep consuming them both.

Inuyasha was shocked about what his brother had done, he had chosen a human to be his mate. He never expected that. Seshomaru had shown no love for humans. If him and Kagome had children, they would b half demon. Another thing Sesshomaru hated most. Inuyasha was puzzled. Would he treat Kagome right? He was deep in thought as he ducked out of the western lands to meet Kikyou. He stopped mid thought when he came across Kikyou. She was like always a dream. Fluid in motion as she took care of her beautiful hair and body. Inuyasha had never loved another women as much as he loved her.

"Kikyou." he spoke softly. She lifted her head from washing her clothes and smiled sweetly at him.

"So Inuyasha, Kagome has become the new to be mate of the western lands." Inuyasha nodded and walked closer to her.

"Yes, i can't quite believe it myself. She is very happy and i couldn't be happier for her, as long as my stupid half brother treats her well." Kikyou nodded.

"I have no doubt he will Inuyasha, He doesn't make rash decisions. Inuyasha what ailes you though?" Inuyasha sighed and sat down crossing his legs in the process as he always sat. He pulled Kikyou to him and took in her scent.

"She is human and most likely will die and then Sesshomaru will probably kill his half blood children. I worry that when she is older she will regret she didn't be with someone who would die and grow old with her." Kikyou nodded understanding his worries. Kagome was human she would die while Sesshomaru still wouldn't be out of young adultness. Kikyou smiled and kissed Inuyasha on the head.

"Inuyasha, Kagome is indeed a human; however she is something else." Inuyasha looked at her questioningly. "A miko, Inuyasha!" Inuyasha looked at her dumbfounded. His eyebrows narrowed into a point.

"She most likely will mirror Sesshomaru's life force and life and become immortal." Inuyasha Looked shocked.

"Has a Miko ever done that before?" he asked her.

"Kagome isn't just any Miko, Kagome is the reincarnation of the powerful Midoriko. She holds powers like her. It wasn't until i saw the power she had that i realized that Kagome is her reincarnation. Kagome and Midoriko have something in common that most Mikos don't. They have the ability to adapt their lifespan." Inuyasha was shocked. So Kagome would be able to live forever with Sesshomaru. But what of the children she would have. They would still be only half breed. Kikyou being all to smart. Knew what his long face had been for.

"Again Inuyasha, most Miko's do not mate with demons, it is not in our nature to be with ones that are so unholy, But because Kagome is Midoriko reincarnation, she will have strong half demons. Maybe stronger than most demons themselves. They will have not only the ability to be as strong and powerful as a demon but also the ability of purification. No one has ever pupped and lived though." Inuyasha nodded understanding. He pulled Kikyou close to him and kissed her passionately. He would tell Kagome and Sesshomaru all the he had learned. But first he needed to make love to Kikyou, more than ever now.

Kagome awoke with a missing Sesshomaru and and empty bed. She had no idea where he would have gone, but she knew she couldn't spend any more time in bed for today. Memories and thoughts came flooding back into her mind. His hands roaming her body as they made passionate love. She got out of the bed and pulled a robe over her body and she headed to Sesshomaru's private springs. She moved into the water and let her aching body soak. Kagome hadn't been so happier, she had never realized how much she could love a man more. She had thought the love that she had for Inuyasha was powerful. But Sesshomaru, she wasn't in love, she was spellbound. After an hour of soaking and scrubbing her body clean she got out and wrapped the robe around her body again.

"I see you return little brother!" Sesshomaru spoke and his passed Inuyasha in the hallway. "I wasn't gone for long i just went to see Kikyou. Where is Kagome?" he asked. "I have some news for you both." Sesshomaru looked puzzled.

"I am sure by now she has just gotten up, i had left her to work on the contract i need with the western and eastern lands since i have now chosen a mate that is not one of theirs." Inuyasha nodded. "I'll go grab her. " Inuyasha spoke. And he went to go get Kagome. He was then stopped by a hand. "She is my Mate to be, i'll go grab her little brother." Inuyasha nodded and walked to the gardens, as Sesshomaru walked to his chambers.

Walking into the bed chambers where he has left Kagome sleeping. She had already bathed and dressed and was wearing another blue Kimono. This one was light pale blue with cranes splattered across the fabric. She was beautiful, he had caught the most beautiful women there was. He knew it long ago, he was to blind by her being human to really appreciate it. Kissing her on the lips he smiled sweetly. "Inuyasha wants to see you, he has news apparently, and we also need to discuss the Mating ritual." she nodded and got up from the bed she had been sat on.

"Sesshomaru, we need to talk about our future!" he looked at her questionably. She smiled and went to wrap her arms around his neck. "I am human Sesshomaru. I won't love as long as you!." he nodded understanding what she was saying.

"I am fully aware, the only human that could have my heart." she smiled and allow him to place a passionate kiss on her lips.

"So what happens once i start turning old and wrinkly and grey?" he looked at her, he was thinking the same thing. He wouldn't want a new mate, and i am sure she wouldn't want him to have one until she died, but what about her, what would she do.

"We shall talk about this later, right now my half brother is waiting in the gardens for us." She nodded and with that they walked out of his chambers and towards the gardens.
