Chapter fourteen has arrived and I hope everyone is ready for the insanity! Yeah, more insane stuff will happen, after all this is Arkham Asylum. It's where all the nuts go. At least the nuts that the DC universe consider to be crazy.

Anyways, it's time for the disclaimer. I don't own anything from the DC universe just my OC and I won't be adding a lot of stuff from Arkham. Just focusing on the main characters, but don't worry you'll see some stuff that is familiar with the game. Okay, it's time for the chapter to begin and enjoy everyone.

A trip to insanity

Arkham Mansion (Present)

Batman begins to recover from the explosion as Harley Quinn appears over the knocked out hero.

"Poor Dr. Young's husband," said Harley in a mocked tone. "He was such a good man, now he's dead and soon she is going to join him."

Batman despite being dazed can see Joker's men holding a tied up gagged Warden, while one of them carries an unconscious Dr. Young on his shoulder.

"Oh don't worry, Bats. We're not going to kill her just yet. We're going to take her and the old man on a little trip to someplace fun. If you want to try saving them, good luck doing it alone without your sidekick," said Harley as she approaches the Warden and removes the tape, before hitting him in the gut with his own cane.

"Somebody help me!" he shouted before Harley hits him in the face with the cane, breaking the top of it with blood from the Warden's face.

"That old loony actually thinks he runs this place!" said Harley as she walks back to the Batman. "Talk about crazy! Well, Bats, places to go! Get him boys! If he gets up, knock him down, but not too rough. Mr. J needs him at the party."

Batman kicks up and fights the four men alone. One with the stun stick charges at him, but Batman jumps over and punches him, takes the stick, and shocks the man knocking him out. The other three charge at him, but Batman jumps over them and kicks all three in the face. One gets up, but only for Batman to punch him in the back sending his face to the wall knocking him out.

The other two get up and Batman jumps at them knocking them to the ground. He then punches them in the face knocking both men out.

Once he was sure all the men are down he goes over to check on Ryan. He wasn't moving, but he knew the man wasn't dead, but he'll deal with that later.

"Oracle, have you figured out a way to past these security gates? Before Dr. Young was taken she told me there's a production plant hidden somewhere in the Gardens."

"The WayneTech security protocols seem to be hack-proof," she replied. "Lucius did a good job. It's a two-part biometric sequence apparently generated by the Warden, using a code sequencer."

"And destroyed by Joker in the safe explosion," said Batman realizing the codes are gone. "Harley Quinn has the Warden, and he's the only chance we have to get past these gates."

"OK, good luck and one more thing, Michael woke up," she replied. "He is upset that you knocked him out and said when he sees you he is going to punch you."

"He does know if he tries I will hit him back?" he asked.

"He probably does and knows it will be a mistake," she replied understanding her boyfriend's anger. "Look, just make it up for him okay? He really wants to help."

"I'll think about it," he then turns towards Ryan who begins to open his eyes. "You okay?"

"Just a minute," muttered Ryan as he sits up with his body recovering from the wounds. "You know, while I was unconscious I began going back what that old man told me before I got my skills. I wish he was still alive so I can kick his ass for not making that formula, pain-proof."

"You're alive, that's all that matters," said Batman as he helps Ryan up. "I'm afraid Harley Quinn came in here and took your wife. She's taking her and the Warden somewhere."

Ryan sighed before noticing his guns are missing. "I guess she decided to take my weapons too. Looks like you don't have to worry about me killing anyone."

"I wasn't before I saw the mess you made earlier, but let's focus on that later. Right now we need to track down where they took the Warden and your wife," said Batman as he begins looking around to find anything to help them track the hostages.

"Well, if you got anything that can help, then do it," said Ryan as he takes the stun stick from one of the thugs. "This will come in handy for later."

Batman uses the cowl vision to help him analyze the Warden's blood off the broken cane Harley broke off. After analyzing the blood he can now track the Warden.

"Let's go, before it's too late," said Batman.

"To the Batmobile!" Ryan shouted.

"It's gone, I used it on Bane," said Batman as he walks towards the exit.

"Oh come on! Now we have to walk?" Ryan begins to follow Batman, while muttering in anger.

Sewers

One of Joker's men is in the sewers after being told by the boss that Batman has a cave hidden under Arkham. They have been looking around, but couldn't find the cave. Some of them even went missing in the sewers. They either left to get back to the surface or they were caught by Killer Croc.

"Why hasn't the Joker gotten us to deal with Croc yet?" the thug asked. "I mean, we don't need that freak running around here killing us off. Hell, I bet Joker wouldn't mind if we kill the guy."

Suddenly the man hears something nearby. "Who's there?"

Before he could do anything he begins getting electrocuted through the water. A few seconds later he falls to the ground still twitching.

"Well that worked," said Michael as he removes the electric glove that Barbara let him used. "Now it's time we have a little chat."

He grabs the man and slams him against the wall. He pulls out some smelling salt and moves it under the man's nose waking him up.

"W-what happened? Who are you?" the thug then noticed the holding a gun to his face. "What do you want?"

"Information, if you don't tell me what I want to know then this is going to hurt," Michael replied.

"Yeah?" the thug asked. "Screw you."

A smile crept across Michael's face. "I didn't want to do this, but."

He puts his gun away and activates the electric glove. The thug sees this and began feeling a little nervous.

"Last chance, talk, get shocked, or we do this the way my friend does it."

The thug shook his head refusing to talk.

"Okay, well do it the way my friend would do it then," he knocks the thug out and begins tying his feet up. "I hope I'm doing this right, otherwise I'm going to have a hard time explaining this to Batman."

West side

Batman and Ryan made it to the other side of the island where they tracked the Warden's blood inside the Penitentiary. It's where they house inmates with serious mental conditions.

Criminals with mental problems are locked up here and others who have been working on the island feel these animals can't be cured.

"Sheesh, of all the places Harley would take my wife it's in this place," Ryan asked as he recalls what his wife told him about this place and how she doesn't go inside because of the criminals.

"They're in there, we need to go in," said Batman.

"Go on then and I'll follow," said Ryan as Batman leads the way into the facility.

They see one armed thug, with two other unarmed men. Batman is about to go at them, but Ryan stops him.

"Let me handle this," whispered Ryan.

He turns on the stun stick and throws it at the armed man knocking the gun out of him. Ryan runs at the other two, who charge at him. He jumps over them landing on both hands, he spins around and kicks both men. The armed man tries to grab the gun, but Ryan grabs him from around the waist and throws him over to the ground.

Ryan jumps over and stomps the man in the gut with both feet. The man passes out as Will turns around to the Dark Knight and bows. The two men recover and try to attack Ryan, but Batman tosses a batarang hitting them both. Will looks down at the knocked out men and then began at Batman who he can tell was smirking on the inside.

"Don't say it," he said warning the Batman.

"You missed one," the Batman replied.

Ryan lets it go and grabs the knocked out thugs' gun. "Let's get going then."

They proceed to towards a door where it begins to scan both men. Once it finished it opens the door and they make their way inside where they hear what appears to be screaming. They come across another door where it begins scanning them both. After it finished the doors open and inside, they both see the room filled with locked insane inmates that are acting like animals.

"So, this is where the real crazies go," said Ryan as he sees the inmates making babbling, howling, and growling noises. "And Sharp expects us to vote for him."

"Let's get going," they make their way deeper in the facility where they encounter the containment room where Poison Ivy is kept in.

She sees the Batman and walks up to her well door. "Stop! Stop! Batman. Please! You've got to help my babies."

"I'm really not interested in a bunch of flowers, Ivy," said Batman showing no interest in what Ivy wants.

"They're in pain! Crying for help!" she shouted begging for Batman to free her.

"Just stay where you are. Last thing I need is you running free," said Batman who can't afford for Poison Ivy to be free and causing problem.

Ivy then noticed Ryan nearby and knew who he is. "You! Your wife is responsible for the pain caused to my children! I hope she is suffering, just like I am going to make you suffer!"

"Whatever, let's go Batman," said Ryan not wanting to spend any more time around the crazy plant lady.

They soon make their way to the room where the Warden and Penelope are locked in. Both men make their way to the top.

"Penny!" Ryan checks on his wife to see she is alive, but still unconscious.

The Warden motions for him to be free. Seeing how he has to play nice with the old man to get the codes Batman needs, he removes the tape slowly and unties the Warden.

"Oh thank you, thank you so much officer," said the Warden.

"Whatever," he then turns towards Batman who is who is watching the monitor. "What's up?"

"Look," said Batman as they see Harley Quinn passing through the hallway they just came from.

They see Poison Ivy talking to Harley Quinn, who is begging her to be free. Harley at first refused, but after a bit more begging the crazed blonde woman frees Ivy.

Suddenly the Joker appears on screen.

"I could watch those two all day! What a riot! And speaking of riots…" Joker takes out a button and presses it. "Here's a bit of civil unrest I cooked up just for you!"

This caused all the inmates in the facility to break free and cause problem around the island.

"Well, things just got a whole lot worst," said Ryan as he turns towards Batman. "What now?"

"We'll stop them," said Batman until they noticed the gate is up.

"It's no use," said the Warden. "He's taken control of the security overrides. I have the sequence generator, but without the terminal in my office, it's useless."

"Your terminal has been destroyed," Batman replied. "Give me the sequencer."

"What? Oh…yes, of course," Warden finds what Batman needs and hands it over. "It's useless. Half the code won't get you anywhere. We're trapped in here."

Batman pulls out a device from the belt, loads the card inside, and then tosses the card away. Once he got what he needed he uses it to destroy the control panel shutting off the gate.

"Not anymore," he then turns towards Ryan. "Get the Warden and your wife to safety. I'm going to deal with Harley."

"You got it," Ryan takes out the stun staff he used and hands it to the Warden. "You know how to use this right?"

"Well um I suppose so," the Warden then noticed the gun. "Why can't I have that?"

Ryan cocks the gun with one hand while carrying his wife. "I'm using it."

After seeing the way he armed the gun with one hand, the Warden doesn't bother arguing. "I see, well done."

Well, it looks like they managed to save the hostages and now all that is left is to go after Harley, find Joker, and make sure Ivy doesn't cause trouble. That shouldn't be too hard, right? We'll see and what do you guys think is going to happen next time?
