Despite the tense moods from yesterday, it seems like the family had fallen into some sort of rhythm that was calm and peaceful once again. But some of them, mainly Kaoru, could tell that something wasn't quite the same.

"Chizuru-chan, are you alright?" asked Azusa gently, looking down at the petite girl who was tugging on his shirt sleeve lightly.

"Ah… Nothing…" she said quietly, looking down at the duffel bag she was holding in one of her hands.

"Here, I'll take that for you," he said kindly, taking the duffel bag from her hands and throwing it over his shoulder along with his own.

"You don't… have to carry it…" she retorted quietly, but he just replied by patting her head and giving her a reassuring smile.

"I'm a man, and you're just a little lady, I have to help you," he stated, making a light blush cross her cheeks.

"F-Fuuto! I never told you you had to carry my bag!" exclaimed Kasumi as she and Fuuto came out of the vacation home, Fuuto in front carrying two duffel bags.

"Idiot, you were just sick," he scoffed, ignoring her protests and packing her things in Ukyo's car.

"Somehow… The atmosphere is making me angry for absolutely no reason," muttered Kaoru as a menacing aura surrounded him, going into his protective brother mode.

"K-Kaoru-kun, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about," insisted Masaomi, until a high pitched scream cut him off from trying to assure the teenager. They looked over to where they heard the scream, and a horrifying scene was played out in front of Kaoru's eyes.

"Ah, Sha-chan, are you okay?" asked Louis as he looked down at the girl. No matter how you looked at it, they were in an awkward position. with Louis hovering over her and Masha laying on the ground. Masha blushed, looking to the side at the tree branch that had almost fell on top of her and then quickly looked up at the Asahina who had just pushed her out of the way.

"Nothing to worry about, eh?" said Kaoru as his black and menacing aura grew even larger, making Masaomi sigh in defeat.

When they had all finished packing up their things in the cars, they all got into the groups that they had left Sunshine Residence with to drive back home.

"Kaoru-kun… Is still in a bad mood isn't he…?" said Azusa as some of the family looked on at Kaoru, who was seeping with anger and distrust as he sat on the couch of the family room. His mood had taken over the whole room, making it seem dark and gloomy.

"I wonder what is wrong with Nii-san?" said Ema thoughtfully, the sisters basically completely clueless on how overprotective he got.

"I think I have a bit of an idea," said Masaomi with a nervous chuckle, and Azusa, Louis, Fuuto, Iori, Tsubaki, Yusuke, and Subaru all looked away like it had nothing to do with them.

"He really is hopeless sometimes," commented Kasumi as she flipped her long mint green hair, striding over to her younger brother.

He noticed her coming over, but his set glare and dark mood didn't fade at all.

"Oi, Kaoru, What's up with you?" she asked bluntly, sitting into her hip and resting her hands on her waist as she raised an eyebrow.

S...So blunt…! thought all of the brothers as they looked on at the scene unfolding, anxiously waiting for what would happen next.

"It's nothing you would understand Nee-chan…" he said, his tone bleak and monotone.

"Why don't you try me?" she challenged, knowing Kaoru didn't usually back down from any challenges.

"You. Wouldn't. Understand." he stated again, rising up as his tone got bitter and much more threatening.

"And I said, why don't you try me?" she hissed out, her deep red eyes now glinted with anger.

"Fine… You asked for it…" he muttered, and he suddenly pulled on Kasumi's wrist. It all happened in a flash.

Before they knew it, before Kasumi knew it, Kaoru's lips were firmly pressed against her own. They all looked on in shock, but no one was more shocked then Kasumi herself. She looked at him in complete and utter shock, not being able to move or pull away.

After what felt like forever to everyone watching and Kasumi, he pulled away and gave her a dirty glare.

"There's some food for thought, Nee-chan," he declared, letting go of her wrist before briskly walking upstairs. They heard his door close with a slam, and knew he had probably locked himself in.

"E...Eh…?" stuttered out Kasumi, standing in the exact same spot as everyone was silent.

"Wh-What…?" she stammered, feeling tears brim in her eyes as her knees felt weak.

"Kasumi!" called out Fuuto in urgency as she fell to her knees, immediately rushing over to her and kneeling down beside her. The others couldn't do much of anything as they saw the strongest girl they knew, with tears streaming down her face, clinging onto Fuuto tightly.

"I'll… Talk to Kaoru-Nii," said Chizuru quietly, though you could tell by her slight change in tone that she was both worried and upset.

"Ch-Chizuru-chan, it might be dangerous, what if he-" started Azusa worriedly, though he was cut off by the small girl.

"He won't do anything, I'm his sister," she stated, though Azusa couldn't help but feel she felt uneasy about the whole situation.

"Scream if you need something and Azusa and I will come running," whispered Tsubaki as he leaned down close to her ear. She nodded and mouthed a quick thank you to him before she walked up the stairs to get to his bedroom.

Masaomi, still a bit shocked by what just happened, felt a tug on the back of his shirt. He turned around, and to his surprise it was Masha. She was teary eyed, her cheerfulness from just a few hours ago completely gone.

"M-Masaomi-san… Wh-What's going to happen now?" she asked shakily. She was scared and uneasy. But they all were.

"I'm… I'm sure we'll be able to get through this," he answered thoughtfully, then patted her head in a brotherly way, "We're a family after all."
