Author's Notes: Last time on… Just kidding. To recap and be blunt, Tsukune found Ginei's prized possession simply tossed to the ground. Three Arrancars have also appeared on the school grounds to some people' s dismay. Anyway, I sincerely thank everyone who has read up so far (The View counts are high! YAY!) and for the reviews as well (Thank you Kuroi Rin for your constant reviews. It means so much to me!) Anywho, you came here to read, not hear me blabber on. So here it is, chapter 14. Hope you all enjoy!

Much love,

~Sayonara~

Tsukune rushed down the paved sidewalk towards the school campus. There were large crowds of confused people, students and teachers alike, moving out and about. Tsukune realized that he wasn't the only one that felt that huge tremor. Everyone in the entire school must have felt it too. And nobody knew what was going on. Tsukune saw the students' faces. Many were scared as they were confused.

"What the hell is going?" Tsukune heard one student ask another. "Isn't the Academy supposed to be immune to all environmental hazards?"

"Beats me… I'm pretty sure the Headmaster will know."

"I hope you are right."

Tsukune continued to walk along, hands inside his pockets. He sighed. All that happened in one night, it seemed so surreal. Moka wouldn't put her rosary back on. Both Moka and Ichigo disappear. Ginei disappears later as well…

Only to leave this behind…

Tsukune pulled out the wolf pendant from his pant pocket. Seeing as how Ginei would play with it unwittingly, Tsukune assumed that it must be some good luck charm or something of the sort. Tsukune also noticed that Ginei would play with it when he stuttered or felt nervous. Of course, everything he was thinking right now was just based on speculation.

I mean… Ginei did leave this behind…

Tsukune observed the pendant one more time. He noticed that the neck laces were held together by some sort of bolts or screws of the sort. It wasn't a simple tie-on necklace.

So this wasn't on accident… Tsukune thought to himself. Gin really took this off before he… Took off…

Tsukune sighed as he shoved the pendant back into his pocket. As he did however, he winced. The cut he had received from the glass earlier still stung like hell. Tsukune managed to remove the piece of glass but that was all he could manage. He couldn't find a first aid kit anywhere in Ginei's dorm room thanks to the mess and havoc the tremor had created earlier. He did bandage it up with a piece of cloth on Ginei's countertop but it still bled slightly.

Tsukune undid the makeshift bandage and observed the wound again. It was about two inches long but not very deep. Some blood trickled off the face of his hand. Tsukune quickly wiped away the blood with the cloth before re-doing the bandage.

As he walked up the stairs, Tsukune felt a tapping on his shoulder. Turning around, he saw Mizore standing behind him, dressed the same as always and with a lollipop. Compared to everyone around her, she kept a cool demeanor.

"Oh, hey Mizore-san." Tsukune said, shoving his hand into his pocket. "What's up?"

Mizore folded her arms, glancing side to side. "Have you seen Daisuke-kun?"

Tsukune shook his head. "I didn't see him… Wait a minute…"

Mizore's eyes lit up. "What? Is something the matter?"

"Everyone else is missing as well." Tsukune pointed out. "I'm not sure about Daisuke's case but Moka-san, Ichigo, and Gin are all gone."

"Huh." Mizore said, readjusting the lollipop in her mouth. "That's strange…"

"Yeah, well, strange isn't enough to cut it." Tsukune said, sighing. "Did you feel that earthquake earlier? I have never experienced something like that ever before."

Mizore nodded indifferently. "From where I am from, shakes like that are common. Nothing too big to be concerned with for the moment."

Riiight… Tsukune thought to himself. Maybe I'm just the one who's crazy right now…

"Well…" Mizore began to say. "We aren't going to get anything done just standing here. Let's go look for Daisuke-kun."

"Actually, I was going to go to the Headmaster and to ask him about what exactly is going on…" Tsukune said. "I'm sure most of the other students will agree on that."

"The Headmaster isn't here right now, Tsukune-kun." Mizore said.

Tsukune felt like he misheard what she just said. "What? The Headmaster is what?"

"He isn't here on the school grounds anymore." Mizore said, pulling out her lollipop and observing its pink-red texture. "I saw him leave several hours ago."

"Leave?!" Tsukune blurted. "Where?!"

Mizore shrugged.

"Then who will be in charge of the school until he returns?" Tsukune asked again.

Mizore pointed towards something behind him.

Turning around, Tsukune saw several groups of students wearing jet-black uniforms, walking in an orderly fashion. Tsukune felt as if he had seen them before.

"W-who are they?" Tsukune asked Mizore.

Mizore looked at Tsukune, confused. "Tsukune-kun, you've been attending this school for who knows how long and you still don't recognize that student body?"

Well excuse me for not keeping up with the times… Tsukune shook his head.

"Hey..." Tsukune overheard some students in front of him. "Isn't that the famous Raiden from the Inazuma Clan?"

"Yeah..." Another student said. "He has the Clan's eyes..."

"Those eyes pierce your soul man..."

Tsukune heard the student sigh. "Yeah..."

Tsukune looked up at the group of students as they walked toward a make-shift podium. A bespectacled boy with jet black hair took the stage. The other students created a horizontal line behind him in a military like fashion. The boy, after polishing his glasses began to speak.

"Students of Youkai Academy. Please rest easy. There have been only minor accidents occurring tonight. Rest assured, the Public Safety Commission will have the situation under control in no time."

"What about the Headmaster?" A student from the crowd called out. "Is he not here?"

The boy nodded. "The Headmaster has left the school grounds on official business. He may not be back before sunrise. As I said before, the Public Safety Commission will have the situation under control in no time. We only ask for your continued cooperation and return to your dormitories. Members of the PSC will be patrolling around the school grounds for your ensured safety."

There was a murmuring amongst the crowd.

"In the meantime, please return to your dormitories. Anyone found outside of their dormitories will be faced with strict consequences. Thank you."

The boy stepped down and exchanged several words with his fellow PSC members. The members nodded and made their way to the crowd.

A girl with a staff pounded her staff on the ground and demanded the attention of the crowd. "You heard Raiden. Get back to your rooms!"

The crowd started to disperse.

Despite what he was seeing, Tsukune felt otherwise. Ichigo, Moka, and Ginei were still out there. Remembering the school letter and what it said about the PSC, if those three were found outside their dorms, their situation would be dire.

"What should we do Mizore-san?" Tsukune said.

There was no answer.

Tsukune turned around. "Mizore-san?"

There was no one around,

Aw, come on...

Then suddenly, a hand grabbed Tsukune's hand and pulled him into an alleyway. Startled, Tsukune did not resist whoever was pulling him. Instead, he followed the source of the pull. Coming into the shadow of the alleyway, the hand let go. Tsukune turned around to see if anyone had followed him. No one had. Turning again, he saw that it was Mizore.

"Mizore-san!" Tsukune exclaimed, surprised. "What are y-"

Mizore put her finger on his lips. "Not so loud Tsukune-kun. They'll hear."

Tsukune shut up.

"Anyway." Tsukune said, talking again. "Why did you pull me here?"

"I can't search for everyone by myself." Mizore said, adjusting her lollipop once again. "Not with the PSC lurking about. I need your help."

"Wha- why?" Tsukune asked, surprised. "Of all the people, why me?"

"Because there is no one else." Mizore said sternly. "Moka, Ginei and Ichigo are all missing. Not mention Daisuke-kun as well."

Thanks for the boost of confidence...

"Besides, I heard from Moka about what you did at the swimming club..." Mizore said, looking back and forth in the alleyway. "Your skills would be useful in case we get in a tight spot."

Tsukune brought his bandaged hand to his chin, thinking. "Honestly, that memory was a blur... I can barely-"

"Tsukune-kun, you're bleeding."

"Wha?" Tsukune said, surprised. Tsukune turned over his bandaged hand to inspect it. And sure enough, Mizore was right. The cut had opened again. It must have reopened when Mizore grabbed his hand. Taking the bandage off, Tsukune saw that it was swelling.

It throbbed with pain.

"Ughh..." Tsukune groaned. "It got worse."

Mizore looked at his hand. "Let me see your cut."

"Huh?"

"Let me see it." Mizore said. She had a commanding tone.

Tsukune obliged. Mizore took Tsukune's hand into her own and observed the cut. Her hands felt cold to Tsukune. She then put her right hand over the cut. Tsukune winced slightly put the pain subsided. Mizore let go of his hand, wiping her hands on her skirt. Tsukune looked at his hand and saw the cut had been sealed. The cut had stopped bleed and had been cauterized.

"H-how... how did you?"

"Thank me later." Mizore said, looking towards the sky and back at the ground. "We need to find the everyone... but how?"

"The PSC will be patrolling the grounds everywhere..." Tsukune said. "Won't be long until they find our friends."

Mizore looked back at the sky. "If only we could use the sky to our advantage..."

Tsukune looked up as well. The sky... To use the sky we need to be able to fly...

Fly...

Tsukune's eyes suddenly lit up. Mizore noticed Tsukune.

"What? Did you get an idea?"

Tsukune sighed. "I can't believe I am saying this... But I know who can help us with that."

"Who?" Mizore asked, head tilted, perplexed.

"You'll see... But I'll need your help first."

"What is it?" Mizore asked once again.

"How do I get into the girl's dormitories?"

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"For what it's worth. I hope you know what you are doing."

Tsukune was sweating bullets. "Believe me, I'm doing this on the rails."

"Are you sure she will help us? Knowing her volatile personality..."

Tsukune paused, standing in front of the smooth wooden door, his handed only inches away from knocking on the wooden surface.

"Let's pray that she will."

Taking a deep breath, Tsukune knocked three times on the door. The sound of the knocking echoed throughout the empty hallway. Tsukune heard nothing but his heart beating.

Then a rustling came from behind the door. Tsukune heard feet shuffle towards the door.

"Who is it?" An annoyed voice said from behind. "In case you didn't hear the news, the Public Safety Commission doesn't want anyone wandering around... So no fan pictures!"

"Uh... Ah..." Tsukune stuttered, a lump in his throat. "K-Kurumu-chan? It's me, Tsukun-"

Suddenly, the door was thrown open as a sky-blue-haired person leapt through those wooden confines and onto Tsukune. There was a loud thud as Tsukune and the other person crashed onto the floor. Mizore looked on indifferently.

"Tsukune-kun!" The person, who was female. "I knew you'd come for me!"

"C-can't... breathe..." Tsukune choked. "I-I… can't… breathe…"

Tsukune tried to give himself to room to breathe. He slightly pushed away the softness that had enveloped around his face and suffocated him. Panting, it took Tsukune a several moments to realize that what he was still grabbing onto the things he pushed away.

And they were the girl's breasts.

"Oooh, Tsukune-kun, you are SUCH a perv!~" The girl said playfully.

Tsukune, feeling his face grow incredibly hot, let go of the girl's rather voluptuous breasts and tried to not look embarrassed.

It didn't work.

The girl, Kurumu, looked over Tsukune's shoulder and saw the Yuki-Onna, Mizore. She had her arms folded, looking quite bored.

Kurumu raised an eyebrow as she stared at the other girl. "And why are YOU here snow girl?"

Mizore pointed towards Tsukune. "I came with Tsukune-kun. He said that we could use your help."

"Yeah…" Tsukune said, rubbing his head, still quite dazed. "About that…"

Kurumu, still having a playful look on her face, rested her hands at her hips, amused. "And what exactly would you need my help for? Is it a photo shoot? Or another poll?"

"Um…" Tsukune said, still sort of flustered. "It is… uh…"

"We need someone who can fly." Mizore said, interrupting Tsukune's stuttering streak. "Tsukune-kun said that you have the ability to do so. So here we are."

Kurumu looked surprised. "Ooh." She said, intrigued. "You wanna fly again, huh?... But what for?"

Tsukune glanced over at Mizore, not sure of what exactly to say. His confused eyes met her icy gaze filled with resolve. Tsukune sighed. He knew what he had to say.

"My friends are out there… Somewhere in the woods or something…" Tsukune said, scratching the back of his head. "The Public Safety Commission will be lurking about so we can't be seen wandering on the campus grounds. By air, we may be able to find them and get them back indoors before they get caught by the Public Safety Commission."

Kurumu's eyes furrowed for a moment, as if deep in thought. Twirling a lock of her teal-blue hair, Kurumu looked at Tsukune.

"Will this be dangerous?..." Kurumu asked.

Tsukune sighed again. "More or less… yeah… It will be.

Kurumu didn't say anything.

"Look, if you don't want to help us, it's fine." Tsukune said, raising his arms. He turned to Mizore. "C'mon Mizore-chan. Let's see if there is something else we can do."

Mizore nodded silently. The only sound that came from her was the moving of the lollipop in her mouth. The two turned around and proceeded to walk down the hallway.

"Wait!"

It was Kurumu.

Tsukune turned around. "So, you will help us?"

A playful smirk went across Kurumu's face.

"Tsukune-kun. I may not look like it, but…"

She went close to him and poked his chest softly.

"I like dangerous."

"Remind me why I suggested flying again…" Tsukune groaned, feeling his stomach turn upside down.

The three were sailing through the sky. Kurumu grabbed on to Tsukune as she flew and Mizore held onto Tsukune's leg. The flying seemed like it didn't bother Mizore at all. She stared at the tree line, looking for their friends. Tsukune let out a sigh, trying to keep what little he had inside of him inside of him. It wasn't an easy task. With every swoop and glide Kurumu did, Tsukune felt like he was going to throw up.

"Awwww…" Kurumu said playfully. "At least pretend you enjoy it!"

"I can't." Tsukune moaned. "One more swoop and I think I am going to lose it…"

Kurumu giggled. "For a guy, Tsukune-kun, you are so fragile!"

Ouch… Tsukune thought to himself. That won't help my reputation…

"What about you down there, snow girl?" Kurumu said, looking at Mizore.

Mizore slightly glanced up before resuming her scanning on the trees. "Go faster."

"Sheesh." Kurumu sighed, picking up speed. "Tough crowd…"

Tsukune looked up from his miserable state and saw a ruined building in the distance. It was hidden amongst the ocean of trees. Squinting his eyes, Tsukune saw that the building was being overtaken by the trees and plants; the roots seeping into every little crack. It was a grotesque sight to say the least.

"Stop over there." Mizore said, pointing at the very building Tsukune was looking at.

"Gotcha." Kurumu said, angling her flight path downward. Tsukune braced himself. The wind whipped at his face. He was going down fast. And faster… and faster…

Oh God…

And suddenly, the flight came to an abrupt stop. The feeling was similar to a late sudden brake a car makes at a red light. Tsukune knew this was the last straw.

Opening his eyes, Tsukune broke free from Kurumu's grip and landed roughly on the building's rooftop. He ran over to the railing on the ledge and gagged. Surprisingly, nothing came out.

Gasping, Tsukune fell on his side. He saw Kurumu observing the area, kicking a piece of concrete and rubbing her foot over the roof. Turning his head, Tsukune came face to face with Mizore.

"Gyah!" Tsukune jumped. "Damn, don't do that!"

Mizore smirked playfully. It was the first time Tsukune saw that from Mizore.

"Funny." She said. "Your reaction…"

"Yeah. Ha-ha. So funny." Tsukune said sarcastically. "But why?"

"Both you and Daisuke-kun had the same reaction."

Tsukune was taken aback. Daisuke wasn't the kind of guy to be surprised by something like that. In fact, Daisuke was the guy that would always pop out in the randomest of places. If Mizore could scare the pants off of him like that, then...

Damn, she's good.

"Oh that reminds me Mizore-chan." Tsukune said. "What about Daisuke? Weren't we also going to look for him?

Mizore surveyed the area for a moment. "Last week, I saw Daisuke-kun come to this building several times. I didn't know what his intent could have been but he came here a lot of times... As if he was going to meet with someone."

"Really?" Tsukune asked. "That's sounds pretty shady... But what for?"

Mizore shrugged her shoulders. "For what reason he came here and why that is is beyond me. I never got close enough to see what exactly he was doing..."

"Oh right!"

It was Kurumu.

Tsukune and Mizore both looked at her.

"I think I remember hearing this in one of the class introductory letters but isn's this building off limits to all students?"

Tsukune and Mizore looked at each other.

"So we can establish that Tsukune didn't come to this buidling for school related purposes..." Tsukune said.

"Who is this Daisuke person you guys are talking about?" Kurumu asked. "Is he cute?"

Mizore shot a cold glare at Kurumu. "I advise you to keep your dirty hands off of him."

"Dirty?!" Kurumu yelled. "Who are you calling dirty?!"

Mizore pointed at her. "You're dumber than I thought. Are all the things I am saying just going to your breasts?"

"Do you wnat to fight Snow Girl?! Kurumu exclaimed, her wings flailing outward and her claws extending. "'Cuz I'll gladly do that! Right here! Right now!"

Tsukune saw that Mizore had materialized ice into her hands. The weather suddenly turned cold. Tsukune felt a chill run up his spine.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Mizore said coldly.

"Uh... guys?" Tsukune said, his voice unprojected and low.

"Whoever wins can have this Daisuke guy!"Kurumu said, flying several meters up into the sky. A menacing grin spread across her face.

Mizore remained passive. Teal-blue ice extended from her fingertips, turning into claws. Her once purple hair turned into ice of similar color.

"You won't win succubus." Mizore said, her icy tone unwavered.

"GUYS!" TSukune yelled.

That finally got the attention of the two girls. They looked at him, both slightly annoyed.

"Someone's here." Tsukune whispered furiously, pointing over the ledge of the building.

The three of them went to ledge and peered over the railing. Tsukune was right. Someone was definitely here. They all squinted their eyes to get a better look on the person. The person blended in well with the dark. The build was that of a male. In the shadow of the trreeline, the light eluded the person's face. He was dressed in a jet-black uniform, similar to that of the Public Safety Committee. He walked at a brisk pace, as if something urgent was about to happen. He walked closer to the building. The moonlight shone upon his uniform.

"What the hell is a member of the Public Safety Comittee doing here?" Kurumu asked, keep her voice down.

"What do you think?" Mizore snapped. "They're patrolling the school grounds you dimwit."

"You are seriously asking for a fight today Snow Girl." Kurumu said behind gritted teeth.

Tsukune quickly clamped his two hands on the mouths of the two girls, shutting them up.

"Can we not do this now? PLEASE?!" He asked, almost pleadingly, darting his glance back and forth between the two girls.

The two settled down and resumed their scan on the man. He approached the building.

"He's getting closer..." Kurumu said. "What should we-"

Suddenly, the ground beneath the buidling shook like never before. It felt as if the tectonic plates beneath the earth were being tossed around by some unseen power. The tremors were tremendous. Tsukune heard the shattered windows of the building rattle beneath him. The metal gurders and beams of the building groaned with each incoming shake. Grabbing onto the railing with all his might, Tsukune took one last glance at the man walking towards the building before being thrown back onto the roof.

The man had silver-white hair and piercing blue eyes.

The shakings soon subsided but Tsukune felt as if the world was still shaking. He wasn't shaky from the earthquake but from what he had just found out.

"Tsukune-kun! Are you alright?" Kurumu asked, helping him up.

He saw Mizore peer over the ledge again. She shook her head and muttered something to herself as she made her way back to the two.

"We lost him." Mizore said. Tsukune sensed a hint of frustration in her voice.

"It's okay." Tsukune. "I know who was."

Mizore looked at him strangely. "What do you mean Tsukune-kun?"

Tsukune recalled the man's long silver-white hair, the clear white skin, and the piecing gaze of the sharp blue eyes.

"That man..."

"That was Daisuke."
