"You needed that, didn't you?" she asks, her own voice an unintentional purr, as she unties the knot at Phèdre's ankles.
Phèdre nods lazily.
"And yet you'll return to your Cassiline."
Phèdre twists enough to face her.
Nicola tightens the knot again, bends to kiss the answer away. She needs not hear it.
She understands Phèdre's loves too.
