You where in your looking over your homework you reicived from school. Yes you where not going to school, your father had enrolled you into the same school April went to. Roosevelt High School, something you couldn't be more excited about, since your father didn't want you staying home afraid something would happen to you, while he went back to work, and not really wanting you underground and with April telling him how much you have grown, he just enrolled you in school. You had your very first day of school, and it was just amazing to you. April along with Casey helped you settle in on your first day, due to your high intelligence you where moved up a grade with some classes. Being the new girl on campus was fine with you, Casey assumed you would be extremely shy but you came in bubbly and thrilled the only thing was your hair color which April had to tell others you just dyed it though you had told them you did not.
April and Casey helped you find all your classes you had at least two with them, you also meet her human female friend Irma. A short girl around your height with chin length black hair with purple dye streaks with dark rimmed glasses, when you meet her something just didn't seem right but you discard that happy to meet some else. Though April had to introduce you as her cousin, which she went over and over with you that you had to play and lie to others that was what you really. So you had to stop calling her sister, though at time you would slip up which April would just play off saying you both where just so close that was why you called her that.
School was just wonderful to you, having seen it many times on television with Mikey and asking Donnie about it and April talking it, the idea just intrigued you greatly. And finally you where here, in school April laughed saying how studious you had become while in school, which Casey would playfully call you a nerd.
Looking up at your math textbook, you smile as you finish your last problem. Dressed in your pj's which was nothing more than a giant light blue shirt with a purple flower on it, you kept your hair though you would leave it down when you slept. Getting up, feeling yourself low on energy knowing that meant you needed fuel in others words you needed to eat. You leave your room and go the kitchen, your sister was in her room still doing her homework, your father had fallen asleep. Opening the fridge to see what was in there, you spot an orange smiling you take it out as you start to peel it. Just as you where about to each a slice, a tapping sound came on your window. Making you look only to see no one, you pop the orange in your mouth walking back to your room, when the tapping sound was heard again.
Curios you walk over to the window, opening it up as you look out seeing nothing again. Until you felt heard someone call your name, it was a deep husky voice. Stepping out full on the fire escape, you look and see no one. Uncertain you where about to head back inside, you they call your name again. When someone lands on the fire escape almost startling you. It was giant sized tortoise he wore a black mask, and had the letter S worn on a belt around him. He looked tough and scruffy. Your eyes widen, as his look down at you happy and tender. He held in his hand a Morning Star, your eyes dart to it, he sees this as he sets it down carefully. Putting up his hands to show he meant no harm to you.
"..."he kinda of gives you puppy eyes in away like he was hopping you would remember him but he also seem pained that you didn't. He just keep looking into your eyes.
As you look back, you saw something that made you realize who it was by his eyes. Your eyes widen as you reach a hand out to him touching the side of his face."...S-Spike?"you hesitantly say his name.
Spike closes his eyes from your tender touch as if longing for it, it was him. You where both happy and shocked. He places one of his over sized hands on your hand gently.
"Hey...May."he finally speaks to you with a weak happy smile."The names Slash now."he lightly chuckles.
You sat on the rooftop with Slash as he now called himself. He told you everything about what happen to him, which you informed him that you already knew about it. You shared some snacks that you took from inside with him. You where so small compared to him."I'm glad to hear you are doing well, Slash."you tell him as you looked over the city.
"Thanks, I heard somethings about you. Back with your family I see."he says. You nod your head as you pop a cracker in your mouth.
"Yes, I am glad to have my family back. It is good to be home. Also, I am allowed more to go and help out. I've even have better control over my powers."you tell him getting excited, which made him chuckle to himself.
"So I see, you did fly up here."he tells you, you giggle lightly.
"Yes of course. Master Splinter is teaching much more, I am learning to become a Miko."you tell him, he could tell you where excited about it. He also saw how you had grown since the last time he saw you. He couldn't help but smile with pride.
"You've grown so much May. Not the girl I remember. It makes me happy to see you this way."he tells you, looking at you, you look at him surprised by his words. He smiles at you, which you return.
"Thank you...Slash.."your eyes drop.
"What is it?"
You exhale a bit before you speak."I am truly sorry, that I was not able to tell you about my day with my sister."
"There is no need to say sorry. I'm not mad."he tells you.
"But, I never was able to give you the gift I had purchased for. But you're hear now. So please wait."you tell him getting up as you fly down back inside. Slash wondered what it was, it didn't take you long before you came back, you levitated right infront of him, he saw you holding something to your chest.
"Whatcha got there?"he points.
You became a bit bashful, but you show him. It was a locket, you open it showing him the picture of you and him in it. The big guy became touched by your gift, you place it in his large hand.
"I wanted to put this around you so you always had a memory of our good time. You have always been my best friend."you softly tell him. Slash looks at the gift you had."My sister helped me to get it. It is not real silver but I hope you like it."
Slash's eyes slightly well up, he smiles down at this. Shaking his head, which you took as not a good sign. He looks up at you with a small smile."I love it May. Thanks."he tells you. You smile at him, happy he love his gift. He stands up."I will treasure it always. I hate to cut this short, but I've got to go"
Your smile goes away he could see the sadness in your eyes, it showed. Your head drops low, using his bent finger he lifts up you by your chin, so he could look at you. You looked ready to cry, as you wipe your eyes even though you did not make any tears. Slash felt the sameway inside but he was able to hide it with a sad but happy smile.
"Must you go?"you asks him.
He nods his head, you grip his hand with your two."You keep getting stronger. Like I know you can."he tells you.
"...I wish you could stay...Raphael really misses you."you close your eyes looking away."I will miss you."
"I know...hey do me a favor?"he asks, making you look at him."Keep an eye on Raph for me."
You slowly nod your head, then go and hug him around his neck, he relaxes as he hugs you back carefully. While you hugged him, he presses his teleporter on his wrist."I love May."where the last words he said before he vanished away. You land on your feet no longer hugging him, with your head low. But you smile as you look up.
"I love you too Slash."you say as you fly back inside.
Not to far away Slash where Slash teleported he watches you go back inside he smiles to himself."You've got someone special Raph, don't blow."he then teleporters away.
You look at Casey whom you where still healing, he was beaten up pretty bad by Tigerclaw. Raph and Mikey had brought him back to the lair, once they found, he split up with you and April after the two of you sensed someone following the four of you, after you, April, Casey and Irma came from the movies. Casey went one way, while you and April went the other, leaving Irma behind.
Only to run into Karai which April was ready to fight, while you on the other hand took a much more calmer approach. But Karai didn't come to fight she wanted to talk, she told you and April how she believed Splinter was her real father, the turtles Donnie and Leo found you three. Karai told them that what she now believed, you where happy that she finally accepted Splinter as her father. That you embraced her in a hug, which did shock the girl, Leo was also as thrilled as you, he didn't waste time taking her back to the lair to see Splinter, and of course once you got there, you see Casey who Raph asks you heal.
Wasting no time you go over and start to work him, while Karai had a private audience with Splinter. Reading his aura, you where able to locate the center of the pain, using your own energy to help him. April and Splinter helped you, while you healed Casey he started to ramble things, which made you laugh.
"How's he doing?"April asks looking at her friend with great concern.
"He will be well, sister. Do not worry."you smile at her, she gives you a half one back but her many focus was on Casey."..."
April watches you working hard on Casey, she couldn't help but be proud of you. You where so focused on the task, you where growing at a fast rate with your powers. Lifting your hands off Casey you exhale with a smile."He is well, and done."you tell her, she looks at Casey who slowly comes to it. He finds April and gives her a tired smile.
You stand up as your sister embraces Casey. Feeling a hand on your shoulder you find Splinter."You did wonderful Hi-"
"May!May! We need you!"Raph's screams of distress echoed through the sewers making all of you, he and his brothers come bursting in with an unconscious Mikey, who was beaten and battered. Splinter rushes to his youngest son.
"To his room, quickly!" Splinter calmly yet frantically tells his sons. He calls for you to follow which you do, they lay Mikey down on his bead which place your hands over him, as they glow and he does as well. The others calmly yet impatiently wait.
You finish, reading his aura looking over his body, you remember the pressure points as you strike them gently which seem to work. Next you form to energy balls in your hand and put them into Mikey. Who started to whine in pain, that he started to move.
"Forgive me Michelangelo."You tell him, as he started to fuss. He started to swing but you use your power to keep him down.
"Come let her work."Splinter tells his sons, as they leave you with the injure turtle.
As you worked on him, you knew a few things where badly bruised and you had to stop the internal bleeding, your aura reading learning from Master Splinter helped you, you needed all the concentration to match your aura with his. Luckily for you it was not that hard. But it still took all your focus, once you had it you could slowly use your own energy to heal him or anything. His shell that was cracked was started to heal. You would not let him go, as you healed you though over heard what happen to Karai as it echoed in the halls. Your heart dropped, you could only imagine how Splinter felt now. Though you wanted to give him what he needed, you needed to finish up with Mikey.
After a few more minutes, you where done and he was fine. Sighing hard, you look at him resting peacefully, hitting the pressure points you hit before. Pulling the covers over him, you leave him be. Shutting the door. Exhausted from what you just did, never had you done that before. Making your way to the others, you decided though to go to Master Splinter's room. You stand outside, thinking if you should go in. You could feel his emotions from outside the door, they where heavy with sadness, that it overwhelmed you. It made you think of Slash, and that empty feeling when he left. Even if you where happy that he was alright.
It still pained you, like a piece of you was gone. Feeling the emotion again in the lair, looking back to where the turtle's rooms where, you follow it leading you to Leo's room. It was coming from him as well, both he and his father felt the same. You knock on his door calling to him, he opens it. You give him a sympathize look, he sighs, balling up his fist. Placing a hand on his shoulder, he looks at you. You smile at him the best you could. He looks at you in your eyes as if searching for something. But he found it, which seem to set him at ease. Putting your hands on the side of his face, he relaxes from your touch. Giving a half a smirk. Which you return a soft smile.
You then pull him in and give him a kiss on the top of his head while patting it, as you leave him be. You then go to Master Splinter, and go into his room, seeing him mediate. He felt your presence when he felt you hugging him tightly. Which he gratefully takes, he hugs you tightly which you didn't mind at all, being his comfort.
"Thank you, Hime."he cries.
You just hug him tighter.
April decided to stay a bit till Casey was able to actually get up and walk. While she was still tending to him, you decided to make something. Making your way to the kitchen, you get things together, though you seem fine you really were not. Your mind was still on Slash thinking about lost, as it was called. Today felt so painful, even though it had been a few days since you saw Slash, you still felt it. And now with Splinter and Leo feeling that pain, and Casey and Mikey both injured though doing well, they were still pain. Not realizing that you had froze while cutting something with a knife, thinking about all this. It was so much, you felt small. You didn't like this feeling, your hand was trembling until someone places a tender hand on yours. Snapping you out of it, looking you find Raph. He looks at you. Your eyes well up, in a quick flash, as if a relax Raph brings you into a tight comforting embrace. His hold on you was tight. Placing a hand on the back of your head to sooth you.
"..."you start to calm down.
"It's ok May."he tells you softly."..."his embrace became tighter on you but not to tight.
"..."you. Your eyes started to slowly close, he felt you become lax. He smiles softly down at you.
"I'll keep you safe. No more..."he tells you he was about to place a kiss on your head but stopped, when he thought back to how you gave one to Leo just awhile back on the top of his head. His green eyes downcast, though he wanted to do it. He didn't."...If only you knew."he says quietly to himself.
