Pan could not stop coughing... Or shaking. Every inch of her body felt sore and it didn't take a scientist to figure out that she was sick.
"Panna, you're burning up," Trunks whispered, his cool hands on her burning face.
"That feels nice..." she sighed.
"I'm going to route the ship to Pital again... You need some medicine."
"No..." she shook her head, fighting back a cough. "I'm fine. Plus, we need to get home as soon as possible..."
"Panna," Trunks leaned down and gave her a serious look. "We still have two months left. It's not going to hurt us to stop for a few hours to get you some medicine, which is what I'm going to do."
"You're so stubborn," Pan mumbled with a smile.
Trunks just chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Try to get some sleep. I'm going to go set the coordinates and then I'll be back."
"Okay..." she mumbled, watching as he got up.
Trunks let out a small sigh as he looked at the screen in front of him. Thankfully, Pital wasn't that far away. At the sped the we're going, they would reach it in just a few hours. He felt as if he could relax a little now. He knew that all Pan probably had was a minor cold, because of the last planet they were on. Still, even if it was just a minor cold, Trunks couldn't take chances.
Trunks got up and headed towards the kitchen, where Goku and Goten were. Both of them were busy cooking something and as long as they didn't set anything on fire, Trunks didn't care what they did.
"Hey Trunks, hows Panny?" Goku asked once he saw him.
"She's running fever still," Trunks said. "I set the ships coordinates to Pital. We should reach it in a few hours. Once we arrive I'll take Panna to see the doctor so you two just stay on the ship."
"Are you ordering us around?" Goten pouted.
"Yes," Trunks crossed his arms. "Because as soon as Panna gets her medicine, we need to be leaving and figure out how long it'll take us to reach earth. We can't afford to look for a lost person for six hours," His arctic eyes found Goku.
The man-turned-child let out an embarrassed laughed and scratched the back of his head. "That was only once..."
Trunks let out a small huff through his nose. "If we have enough time, we can stop on a planet or two for a day or so before going back to earth," he told them. "It really just depends on how long it'll take us to reach earth after this. I'm going to go check on Panna. You two don't burn the kitchen."
"Jeez, have some faith in us!" Goten huffed up at him. He waited until he heard the door close before he glanced at his father. "Dad... Isn't it weird for you?"
"Is what weird?" Goku asked curiously.
"The whole Trunks and Pan thing," Goten said. "I mean, I know Pan said we're not allowed to talk about it, but... they're obviously doing stuff. It's just..." he let out a small sigh. "I don't know... I guess I never thought of them in that kind of light before and now that I'm having to..."
"You miss them?" Goku asked, raising a dark eyebrow.
"Hm," Goten knitted his eyebrows together. "Maybe that's it..." he mumbled.
Trunks and him were still the best of friends, they were brothers not related by blood. Goten would do anything for him, and used to, they were inseparable. Although he still knew that Trunks cared for him, his best friend had someone else on his mind now.
But Goten has to admit, that if his sister had to pick someone to be bonded to, he was happy that it was Trunks. His best friend deserved someone who would make him happy, and Pan obviously did. Pan also deserved someone who would love her and take care of her, and Trunks had already proven he did many times.
"But you know, you're the dad," Goten told Goku. "You should be more panicked about how quickly everything happened," he said.
"I was at first," Goku admitted. "But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that there would be nothing I could do to stop it. Trunks and Pan were already set the bond... If I tried to prevent it, it would cause even more problems so I had to accept it," he sighed.
Goten let out a sigh of his own. "So... How are we going to tell Mom and Bulma everything?" He asked, raising a dark brow.
"That..." Goku began with a small frown. "Let's just worry about it when the time comes..."
Pan woke up with a small stretch. For the first time in several days she woke up without a headache and without a stuffy nose. The medicine from Pital really was amazing.
She gathered the blankets around her naked body as she glanced up at the observation decks windows... Was that a blue sky? She knitted her eyebrows together in confusion. They weren't home, were they? That would be impossible... Trunks said they had two weeks.
Quickly, Pan got up and got dressed before she rushed down the steps to the main deck. It was quiet... Too quiet considering that her father and brother were there somewhere.
"Oh, you're up."
Pan turned to see Trunks grinning at her as he walked out of the control room. Her eyebrows bunched together at the sight of him in a pair of blue swimming trunks that brought out his eyes and a white shirt.
"Where are we?" Pan raised a brow. "We're not back home already, are we?"
"No, not yet..." Trunks shook his head. "We still have plenty of time to make it back home safely so I thought a little stop wouldn't hurt. Your father and Goten have already left to go explore. Here," he handed her a capsule with a grin. "Why don't you go change and then I'll show you the planet?"
Pan raised a brow up at him with a soft smile. She walked into the bathroom, quickly opening the capsule and gasping what was inside. A soft pink bikini... Pan changed into it and stared at her reflection. The top came off of her shoulders and the bottoms were snug and high on her waist and comfortable. There was even a sheer white cover up. Pan changed with excitement before walking out of the bathroom.
Trunks looked at her, his eyes widening and his grin stretching. "You look beautiful," he said.
"Where are we?" She asked him, placing her hand in his.
"You'll see," he grinned, leading her towards the doors.
Pan gasped as they stepped outside. It was almost as if they were back home! A beautiful beach laid out in front of them... Warm, tan sand with a big blue body of water right in front of it. Trunks led her to a blanket that was already laid out and helped her sit down.
"This planet is called Htrae. I do believe you were wanting a beach," Trunks told her.
"How did you find this place?" Pan whispered. "It's beautiful!"
"If you know what to punch into the controls, it's not hard to find," he told her with a grin.
"You're amazing," Pan told him with a warm smile. She leaned over and kissed him. "Thank you so much... For everything you've done for me on this trip."
He smiled at her and leaned down so his lips grazed against hers for a few short seconds. "I would do it again in a heartbeat. When we arrive home, I'll take you to another beach."
"Another one?" Pan raised an amused eyebrow. "What if I want to go to an ice rink instead?"
"Then I'll take you there," Trunks promised. "Just say where you want to go, I'll take you anywhere."
Pan laughed loudly. "You spoil me too much, Trunks."
He chuckled and pounced on her, causing her to let out a small yelp. She glanced up at him as he hovered over her, a smirk playing on his lips. "Don't you remember what I told you? You can be selfish, Panna. I don't mind. I'll give you whatever you want."
"And what about you?" She asked quietly, as he leaned closer to her. "What do you want?"
"Everything you can give me," he whispered.
Pan felt her heart pounding inside of her chest. Even though her and Trunks had been dating for months now it still felt new. He excited her in ways that nothing else could and she loved him so much.
"I'll give you everything you ask for," Pan told him.
He chuckled. "Everything?"
"Well..." she thought about it for a few seconds before she grinned. "Maybe not my food, but everything else."
"You and your food," he snorted.
"Oh, like you're not as bad!" She giggled. "You and Goten were arguing over who got the last slice of bacon the other day."
"Hm, and I guess that will be us in 20 years? Fighting over who will get the last slice of bacon?" He asked her with an amused grin.
Pan laughed, "who are we kidding? Our kids will probably be the ones getting the last slice of bacon."
"Kids...?" Trunks asked softly.
"Well..." Pan felt her cheeks flooding with color. "I assume... 20 years in the future we'll have some...?" She looked at him hopefully.
A huge grin broke out across Trunks' face and he swooped down, his lips crashing into hers. She was surprised for a second before her arms wrapped around his neck and kissed him back.
"Let's have kids," he said, kissing her. "In the future, or whenever you want them..." again, he kissed her. "I just want to have a family with you..."
This time, Pan was the one to grab his face and pull him down for a kiss.
