First off, I would like to apologize. I said repeatedly that if I was going to end this fic prematurely, I would tell you with an update. I have failed to do so, as this fic has, to be brutally honest, been dead since I ended the first half. If I had to state a reason, it would be because I have just been working on it for to long. It's been something like five years now, and I have been repeatedly asking myself why I continue writing it. So consider this the official statement. This fic is DEAD. There will be no more updates in the foreseeable future.
Next, I'd like to say I'm sorry to everyone who followed this fic and waited so patiently as the breaks between chapters got longer and longer. I'm just tired of it, if that hasn't shown from my writing. However, I don't exactly want to leave you guys hanging. So, if you want, the rest of this chapter will be the many ideas I was going to run with for the duration of the story. I just don't have the feel for this story anymore to effectively put it into writing.
Goodbye.
BANKAI
Ace's bankai was going to get an overhaul. He would be able to fuse with the dragon and become a lizardman, with a boost to his abilities.
Nicks bankai was a weird one, involving a giant set of scales with a feather on one side and the image of his opponent on the other. If the soul was guilty, the blades turned black and had a horrible, painful neurotoxin. If the soul was innocent, the blades turned white and had a numbing effect, making even a missing limb feel painless. Your choice as to which one sounds worse.
Justin would eventually get a bankai, but his abilities would focus more on his hollow and him working together. His bankai would be something like a grim reaper, red clloaked and formless. He would weild an extremely long broadsword and have shadow abilities to replace the blood ones.
I never really got around to making Triana's bankai, but she was going to get one. There were also supposed to be bankai for all of the captains and the evil bad group but in all honesty, there were to many of them.
CHARACTERS
Julius was going to be revealed to be the soul of Julius Ceaser. Yeah, that was one of the big twists. Anthony was going to be Marc Antony too.
The pierced member of the Suicide Squad with Toshiro was named James and was going to be another major character in the story.
Joshua's mission was to assassinate Julius, one he has been on since the Suicide Squad was created.
The reason Kenpachi and Yachiru were in Hueco Mundo was that the entire 11th squad was sent to clean up the remains of the espada in Los Noches. They ran afoul of a extremely powerful Vasto Lorde, who wiped them out. Ikkaku survived because Kenpachi forced him through the gate to Seireitei, and the captain himself survived with Yachiru because of straight luck. The hollow got bored and wandered away after they stopped twitching.
Squire was coming back, along side Amelia from the first story. The argument was once a soul dies, they end up in Seireitei and recent developments in the manga had proven that fullbringers are no exception.
Nick was going to be revealed to NOT actually be Trianas brother. Ian was her brothers name, and Nick was his best friend in training. Ian died, and Nick adopted his tattoos in honor of him. The resemblence is coincidental.
There were a host of other members of the pantheon, other officers to introduce. A native american man with absurd tracking skills, a vengeful woman who was skilled with a knife, a lazy hippie with time altering powers, the list goes on. My one regret is that I never got to write them.
The end result of the story was, lots of death on both sides, I was debating which captains to kill and which officers to kill, and in the end it was going to be a bloodbath regardless. One definite death was Captain Yorumoto. Second squad's captain was a dick from the start and I immediately started plotting his death soon after his creation. Justin was also going to die, and I was debating killing Ace as well. Shauna wasn't going to survive the bankai training, and Halibel was going to kill Isabella and so much more.
In the end, Seireitei was going to end up having to rebuild from the ground up, and take another look at their policies. However, Julius' campaign was blinded from the start since after Old Man Genocide's death at the hand of Ywach, Seireitei had already begun altering their isolationist policies. He wass just to blinded by hate to see it.
