"We will explain everything and answer all questions over dinner," Hodge continued. "Isabelle is dinner done?"

"Yes," she responded.

"I don't want dinner. I'm not hungry," Jade would have sounded mad if she wasn't so upset and uncomfortable. "I don't have any question," which wasn't a lie. Jade was to familiar with the shadow world. "I want to go home," she sobbed.

"No questions?" Hodge asked. Clearly he wasn't use to a visitor not having buckets worth of questions.

"I want to go home," Jade repeated wiping her eyes even though no tears were flowing.

"Where is your house? I'll take you," Jace offered. He was looking at Jade with a kind of confused sadness. It pissed her off.

"Jace, I'm sure she doesn't want you to take her home," Alec snapped back at Jace.

Before Jace could reply Jade spoke up, "I don't care who takes me. I would rather no one but I don't really care." Jade snapped back at Alec.

"Who is at home for you?" Magnus, the freaking spike head asked, arms crossed.

"Um… my mother," Jade spoke. But she had taken too long. No one was home for her and now they all knew it. Or they were super dumb? She hoped they would think of her pause as her chocking on sadness. But they didn't.

"No one is home? You will stay here," Hodge pointed at the marble floor. He added, "We'll get you a room, don't worry." After a long silence he declared, "Let's eat!"
