The last thing I remember clearly is Elena having her first taste of blood; completing her transition into becoming a vampire. The rest is a blur, but I was alive and a vampire — that I was sure of. I no longer found myself trapped in a cell, but laying down in my bed at the Salvatore Boarding House. Whatever happened after I blacked out had to be a good thing. I made myself downstairs and was greeted by my brothers and Elena, apparently they were on Vampire 101 duty. Although, as soon as I walked in the talking stopped, and the air around us became strange. It's like I was suffocating in the awkwardness.
"What's wrong? I figured you guys would be at least be a bit happy to see me?" I was only teasing of course, but their faces remained grim. After what seemed hours, Stefan was finally the one to break the silence.
"I know this isn't what you want to hear right now, but we have to talk about the prophecy, Stella."
I rolled my eyes as soon as the words started to come out of his mouth. Prophecy this, prophecy that. The same old record was starting to get on my nerves. "Right, the stupid prophecy. The one we don't even know is real, by the way. You guys honestly believe this crap? I mean, tell me you aren't that idiotic."
"We're not sure if we believe it," Damon spoke up. "But we're also not going to take any chances, sis."
"We just want to help you, Stell," Elena piped up from behind my brothers.
"Well, stop. I don't need your help. In case you guys forgot, I came back to help you guys with The Originals. Which don't seem to be part of your problems anymore, so how about I just make my way back to Chicago? Is that what you guys want? To drive me away again?"
"It's the last thing we want, Stella. You know that. We're family and that's why we need to do this."
