A/N: This is kinda off topic but I just want to share that I have been listening to Vocaloid songs as I was composing this chapter. It has already been 5 years since I first listen to them (and I am growing older as years past by). I remembered the first song I heard was Kokoro by Rin Kagamine and I was completely swept by the story in the song. And as I was searching randomly at the web there is another vocaloid song which is Sarishinohara which is covered by Chomaiyo which has been used for a fan made video on youtube for KurokoxAkashi and is how I was inspired into writing a fanfic as well. And that is the end of my useless ramblings.

Please enjoy this chapter^^.

In Japan phone messages are equal to mails. Well I don't really understand how that works but they probably have internet connection? Well if somebody know feel free to post.

Chapter 14 - Hesitation

It was already past 10 o'clock in the evening when Akashi had decided to leave first; rather he called it running away from the two gentlemen. The air was heavy that he couldn't breathe; his body was stiff that he couldn't utter a word but he acted as if nothing was wrong. He wondered if he was making a fool out of himself or what if the others would know that he was this weak. He was wavering...he's sick about all the orders he was given that was against his will. Can't he have his own decision? Even if he would want to marry her why couldn't he have the first say to it?

Akashi appears smart, strong and intelligent, but he also has his weaknesses. He's still young, an ordinary teenager undergoing personal problems in life, yet he doesn't have anyone to depend on. But maybe if it was her she would understand. All about his beautiful flaws and his perfect imperfections, if it was her I'm sure she would understand.

There was a sudden pause as he was walking past through a street lamp. The light has given an emphasis to Akashi's striking features. His hair as red as crimson, but his eyes gave a sad expression as if about to cry. No, she wouldn't understand. She'll hate me. He pulled up his bangs to get some air as bullets of sweat ran down his temple. He was also confused, how he felt hot when winter hasn't come to an end yet. Did he wrapped himself too much? No, it was only appropriate.

He sat at a bench inside the convenience store.

He didn't believe that he was returning to the place he was just 4 hours ago.

He took off his jacket and checked if he had some new messages. There was none, though he was expecting some from her. His face turned into a gloomy expression. Didn't she knew that it is Dating 101 to message your boyfriend every now and then? He was sulking, definitely.

He was typing a message to her when he suddenly stopped.

If I tried to continue this relationship...and somehow strengthen it, would it be possible for me to confess her everything?

He murmured as he stared blankly at the screen of his phone. He decided not to sent her the message he was composing just a while ago.

Kuroko...

"Ehh? How did you know I was here?" a familiar voice rang into his head. He tilted his head and saw a petite young woman with light blue-dyed hair wearing a loose shirt and a pair of baggy pants, holding a bottle of milk. Even if it was this late, Kuroko never forgot to wrapped a bandage around his chest.

Is this coincidence? Or did I summon her here?

"Oi what are you doing in the middle of the night wearing such thin clothes?" Akashi pointing a finger at her and scolding her like a father who has caught her daughter sneaking out.

"Huh?" she replied confusingly. "because this was the nearest convenience store in my apartment?" Didn't he know that pointing a finger to someone is rude?

"That was not what I meant." Akashi grunted crossing his arms against his chest. "I was...never mind." as he turned his face away from her and got back to being busy on attending his phone.

Just what was that? Kuroko was dumbfounded. With an unexpected meeting she got scolded for buying a bottle of milk and wearing thin clothes (?) whereas she doesn't even know if it was even enough of a reason. He was so cold this morning and just look how he's acting now. Kuroko gave a long sigh.

She sat beside him and started drinking her milk. She tried peeking at Akashi's phone as he was deleting the message he was composing a while ago.

To: Kuroko Tetsuya

Title: (none)

I am at the convenience store sitting at the bench wanting to see you.

How are you?

Saved 10:16pm

"Pffft" Kuroko tried to hide her burst of laughter by covering her mouth and trying not to spill any milk.

"Oi" Akashi raised an eyebrow keeping his phone safe in his pocket. "Just what are you grinning about?"

"Nawhing (nothing)" as Kuroko waved her hand back and forth while the other still covering her mouth. He was sulking because he didn't had the chance to send his message?

"Oi, if you're thinking that I'm sulking because of the message you saw, well it's not." Akashi defending his self but gave Kuroko an even more reason to laugh.

"Are you a mind reader? Or was the reason too obvious that we both know about it?" Kuroko teasingly added. While she continued in laughing, Akashi began his counterattack by pinching both her cheeks as hard as he can to leaving it to have a cherry red color.

He's such a kid. Kuroko thought while rubbing both her cheeks now free from those hurtful pinches.

"Akashi you-" she was stopped, as she felt something warm pressing against her lips. No, it was not food bought at the convenience store; rather it was a surprise kiss from Akashi. As their lips untouch she could feel his breath as his face was too close making her heart pound faster.

"If you don't stop teasing me I'll do even more than that." She could feel her cheeks hot but not from the pinch she received earlier but because of Akashi's sudden movement. He held her hand and rested his head on top of Kuroko's shoulder. "I really want to see you, even when I woke up seeing you, even when I saw you at school...I think that's not enough. I missed you."

She was blushing, with her hand hiding her embarrassment. It was totally the day where all her cheeks can do is turn red; but there is one thing that has kept her mind running - they are flirting inside the convenience store where they usually go after club practice. This means that the employees inside the store actually sees him as a male student and with odd chances they can be misunderstood as a homo couple which she have had enough hearing for the day. Luckily the bench they were sitting at is located at the farthest side where the cashier is, near the bottled drinks section and is hidden by the store shelves.

His grip to her hand got tighter as he was putting more force into it, but it didn't hurt her; rather it felt so warm. He turned his head to face her while still lying on her shoulders. He whispered something in her ears which were a bit tickly combining with the swift air and sweet words his mouth has murmured.

"I love you."

Those words are enough to get Kuroko's heart to beat crazily. He was never the romantic type who would say I love you just all of a sudden. There were never words that convey their feelings for each other. This was a first; though even if there were no words their emotions have already spoken for themselves.

They knew they loved each other. Actions are louder than words; or rather Akashi was never that sweet to tell such cheesy lines and too awkward to say what he really felt.

They knew they were meant for each other. Like a fairytale, meeting their own destined true love...

But Akashi wants to make it clear, since he's starting to open up more about himself to Kuroko.

"Wait" Kuroko paused to break the awkward silence. She tried to hide her embarrassment by changing the topic. "Before that, I want to know if we ever were...you know...in a relationship?"

As the question ended so does a strike in her forehead appeared. Akashi gave her a glare, for not even prolonging his romantic state and not even savouring each moment of it.

"Are you an idiot?" You did it with me and you think we're not in a relationship?" Akashi raised his tone. "Just what are you thinking weird woman?"

Kuroko wanted to reply for choosing the wrong words but she was paused. He repositioned themselves and sat Kuroko on top of his lap. This was kind of embarrassing for her, since they are in a public place. "You were mine the first time I laid my eyes on you, so no objection."

That was right. The first time, even if she was forced she could not deny him. Remembering it was quite unusual...and uncomfortable. But maybe now, it is something worth being happy about. Being a girl, Kuroko always wanted a normal relationship which are often portrayed in dramas...Akashi is handsome, smart, a leader. Just what can a girl ask for more? A little addition on his height may be? But all in all his close to perfect, just with a little bit of a crack personality, but he is Akashi. That Akashi she fell in love with.

"Wait" Kuroko announced suddenly. "I think we should start calling ourselves by our given name"

"What?" Akashi replied disagreeing. "That's embarrassing you know and Tetsuya doesn't fit you well"

"Well you're right, I do own a masculine name, but why not? I think it's cute Sei-kun 3" Kuroko happily suggested while tapping his nose and giving him a huge grin.

"Sei-kun? Just what the hell is that?" Akashi irritatingly shook his head. Why do girls love to give puppy names? "Seijuuro's fine, don't add honorifics, please."

"Why? Kise loved doing that?"

"Just don't compare me with that model." Akashi tiringly demanded. "And you know, I think we better get out of here." Akashi stands up carrying Kuroko in bridal-style but Kuroko waving her legs as a sign of disapproval.

"The staffs will see me you know?" she angrily whispered.

"They won't if you hide your face" he continued walking pass through the shelves and the counter even with her objection, but Kuroko has no other choice but to hide her face by plunging her head onto Akashi's shoulders. Luckily no one seemed to care.

Just as they walked past trough the doors, Kuroko gave a long sigh and hit Akashi on the back of his head giving a small lump, but Akashi only gave her a grin. Just what on Earth is he thinking? He brought Kuroko down to stand in her feet. She held her hands and started walking through the streets. The road was full of cars even though it is close to midnight. Tokyo is filled with glittering lights replacing the stars on the sky.

"I'm going to walk you home tonight. I can't leave a girl alone at the middle of the night."

"Luckily, they see me as a man" Kuroko pointed out "but I'm happy I got company" Kuroko added clinging in his arms.

"Well, you'll always be a woman no matter how flat you appeared to be." Akashi teased pointing out to her chest. Both of them stopped walking and Kuroko puffed her cheeks while he pushed both of them creating a funny fart-like sound.

"Cut that out." She initiated but Akashi just continued on giggling. "You know I'm not that flat!"

"Yeah I know, I touched them already" Akashi pervertedly added "You're just cute when you get flustered."
