14. A Brief Reset: Part Two

Hey guys, I'm back after not wanting to update for like a week. Anyway, welcome back to the second part of the Brief Reset arc. Okay, let's be honest, Veridi would restart the universe and wipe everyone's memories if she didn't get her way (if she actually had that power, let's just say she does in this). I mean, Lucas' Palutena's Guidance, all she says is: "Show No Mercy! Launch that Crybaby into the STARS!" Alright, sorry to keep you guys waiting, Let's do this.

Chapter Thirteen

Ender woke up in a hospital bed. He tried to sit up but couldn't, he could only move his head. "Hey sweetie, you okay?" Ender turned his head to find his adoptive mom sitting next to him.

She had bags under eyes, and Ender knew he had been in the hospital for a few days. "How long…?" Ender couldn't get out the words, but Lucy answered for him

"You've been here for three days," Lucy said as she patted Ender's arm.

Usually Ender would recoil at this but he honestly couldn't. Ender looked at Lucy and she seemed to understand the question, "The school is doing all they can to get that Veridi girl to atone for her actions. So far, it's been nothing but failures." Lucy said looking down.

Ender felt sleep retaking him. He closed his eyes to rest again and Lucy went back to the couch to watch him. Over the next two months, a different kid from school popped into give Ender his work that he was missing, always leaving with a "Get well soon." Ender got so used to the words that he just kind of nodded a little to register he heard.

Thanks to the enchantments that were on the school and the students, Ender recovered quickly and didn't have any more problems other than some crutches for a bit. Ender finally returned to school and caught up with his school work rather quickly. He sought out Veridi but couldn't find her. Ender blew it off for now, waiting for when Veridi did actually come back out of hiding.

Yeah, so this was definitely one of my worst chapters. Mostly just used this for filler at the hospital. Don't worry, after this arc I'll go back to just regular random school stories. Also, Angel, what's going on in Skyworld, cause I haven't seen you around for a while?
