Chapter 12

Mikey's P.O.V.

The twins were getting close to nine months old and already starting to walk. This also meant that Donnie was close to giving birth. At this point we were fairly certain that there was only one and that he wasn't going to lay an egg. It was early afternoon and the twins were fast asleep for their nap. I was so happy, Luca and Carissa were growing like weeds and I couldn't be more proud. I was cuddling with Raph on the couch when Donnie came waddling in, a pained look on his face.

"Don, what's wrong?" I asked immediately getting up.

"My water broke." Donnie said. Raph immediately went to go and get Leo, Master Splinter and April and I was left with Donnie. I looked upstairs and was very thankful that the twins were deep sleepers.

"Come on Donnie, let's get you into a bedroom." I said. Donnie nodded and gripped my arm as we slowly went into the nearest bedroom downstairs. I was thankful that this room was warm and it definitely had a big enough bed.

"Oh god Mikey, I'm so sorry." Donnie said as I helped him lay down.

"For what?" I asked.

"I can tell why you screamed." Donnie said groaning in pain and holding his pregnant stomach.

"It's okay bro, just breath. Remember what I taught you?" I asked. I couldn't help but smile, it was one of the things I could teach my brother that he didn't correct me on.

"Yeah," Donnie said with a smile.

"So how far apart are the contractions?" I asked.

"I've only had the one so far and that was right before my water broke." Donnie said.

"So yours might go more slowly than mine." I said just as Leo, Raph, April and Master Splinter came in.

"Thank you Mikey." Leo said rushing to his mate's side.

"The least I could do bro." I said with a smile. Raph came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You did good babe." Raph said. I just smiled and gently kissed him when Donnie almost screamed as the second contraction came along.

"Okay, that must have been what, ten- fifteen minutes?" I asked.

"Yeah." Donnie grunted. April was at his legs and propped them up and apart to get a look and what was going on.

"Well you seem to be at only 2 centimeters. This might take a while." April said. Leo held Donnie to his chest like Raph did to me months ago.

"Michela I need you to get water and Raphael I need towels." April said. We nodded and left the room to go and get the required objects. It didn't take long but when we were gone we heard Donnie yell as another contraction hit. Casey came in at that time carrying grocery bags.

"What's with the scream?" Casey asked.

"Don's in labor ya moron. Put the groceries in the kitchen." Raph said. Casey did and came back to the room.

"What do ya need me to do?" Casey asked. I looked at Raph and he nodded knowing what I was thinking.

"Can you stay with the twins? We need to be down here." I asked. Casey seemed to visibly relax and nodded and went upstairs to care for my sleeping children in case they wake up.

"Good job my daughter." Master Splinter said with a smile. I could tell he was excited about being a grandfather, especially after we thought we might never have kids.

"Don's at 5 centimeters now." April said an hour later. Raph and I took places giving Don some water, little sips at a time which he was grateful for. I totally forgot that tomorrow was our birthday and I couldn't help but smile, this is an awesome birthday gift for Leo and Don.

"So have you thought of names?" I asked. Leo turned to Don who nodded, I could tell that he didn't really care; the contractions were at 7 minutes apart and was almost in constant pain now.

"Vincent Hajime for a boy and either Athena Chise or Aphrodite Hanako for a girl." Leo said.

"Those are great names." I said with a smile.

"Yeah, now I'm hoping it's a girl." Raph said.

"I still say it's a boy, tough guy." I said. Leo and Don laughed and then Don screamed again as another contraction hit.

"You're getting close Don, so close, you're at 7 centimeters." April said from between his legs.

"Michela, Raphael is the water warm?" Master Splinter asked. I dipped a finger in and it was still pretty warm.

"Yep, I filled it with hot water, it's now warm." I said. Master Splinter smiled and nodded again as I went back by my brother's side and held his other hand. I knew by this time that the twins would be up from there nap.

"Don't worry Mikey, Casey can handle the twins for a few hours." Leo said.

"I know, but it's my job to worry about them." I said. Leo just smiled in understanding. Twenty minutes later the contractions were now a minute and a half apart.

"Okay Donnie, when I say push, push. Okay?" April asked. Donnie nodded and pushed. It took another hour for Don to actually deliver the baby. Raph was ready with a little fluffy towel when the baby finally came out. Leo got up and cut the cord of the squalling baby and we got to see the newest member of the family.

"So what is it?" Donnie asked tiredly. After cleaning the baby off and putting it in a new towel he looked and had a smile. Raph put the baby in Leo's awaiting arms.

"It's a boy." Raph said. Leo smiled widely and looked down at the little baby in his arms.

"Hello little Vincent, welcome to the family, my son." Leo said quietly. He then passed little baby Vincent to Donnie who smiled widely I got to see him too. His color was more like Leo's than Don's and when he opened his eyes they were a chocolate brown color.

"He's beautiful." I whispered.

"That he is. I can't believe I'm finally holding him." Donnie said. A knock sounded at the door and Raph opened it to admit Casey who was carrying the twins.

"They wanted mommy." Casey said with a smile. I smiled and got up and reliever Casey of the twins. I walked back over to Donnie's side so Luca and Carissa could see their new cousin.

"Luca, Carissa, I'd like to introduce you to Vincent, you're new cousin." I said with a smile.

"So it's a boy?" Casey asked.

"It's a boy." Raph clarified.

"Congrates guys." Casey said with a wide smile.

"Master Splinter would you like to hold him?" Donnie asked. Splinter nodded with tears obvious in his eyes as he took the little baby.

"Anata wa, nagai to shukufuku sa reta jinsei, sukoshi no mono o motte iru kanōsei ga arimasu." Master Splinter said in Japanese. He was basically blessing the new addition like he did with Luca and Carissa. Right now we were all happy, a new generation of butt kicking ninja turtles was born and nothing could stop us now from being happy.
