Chapter 13

Another month passed and classes had started up again for the new semester. Andria had gotten her two classes to teach as promised, thankfully not long before her birthday she had finished all her classes and graduated early. She was gratefully to all the foreign students who had volunteered to help tutor her students who were struggling a bit. Today though was their annual trip to New York's Museum of Natural History, Scott and Jean had taken one group of students one direction while while Andria and Storm took another group of students in the other. Andria's job, since Storm was the history teacher, was to make sure that no one used their mutations or snuck away. During Storm's explanation of how neanderthals and Cro-magna men bred with each other creating the modern day human, Andria noticed the wolf that the cavemen were fighting off and thoughts of Logan flooded into her mind. She pulled her leather jacket closer to herself wanted so badly to know where he was and if he was finding the answers he was looking for. Andria was suddenly snapped out of her thoughts when Storm busted Artie wor sticking his dark snake-like tongue out at a young girl eating ice-cream. Andria walked up to the dark-haired boy and patted his dark curls and lead him to the next exhibit behind the rest of the group. At the end of the tour they all met up in the part of the museum where there were tv screens, after leaving the students there Andria wandered around close-by when she noticed Jubilee had gone off to an exhibit with information about electricity and it's effect in space. Andria followed her and stopped when she noticed Jubilee had become curious and was wondering if she could create an electrical cloud like in the picture above her, Andria saw passer-bys noticing her and quickly walked up to her friend stepping in front of her. "Better put that away."

Jubilee looked up at the brunette violet-eyed friend "Sorry, I was just curious."

"It's alright just remember where you are okay?" "Yeah alright."

Andria linked their arms and they began walking back but Andria stopped feeling Jean trying to get into her mind and noticed all the screens were all going fuzzy. She reached out to her brother getting his attention and pointing him towards his girlfriend.

"Andria, what's wrong?" She looked at the girl and smiled "Nothing." Jubilee didn't look convinced but dropped it and noticed Storm coming towards them with a concerned look on her face, "What's up Strom?"

"Hey have you two seen Bobby and Rogue?"

Andria thought for a moment "No, but I haven't seen John for a while either."

"He's probably with them."

"C'mon let's ask Scott and Jean."

The trio walked up to the couple asking the same question at which Jean concentrate her powers "Something's happening at the food court."

"Then let us go together." Everyone tuned to see the professor coming up behind them.

When they were near the food court Andria looked up hearing the sound of screams and smelling fire on cloth.

"Professor."

"Yes Miss Summers, I know."

She noticed him concentrating and suddenly all the people around them literally stopped in place and were seemingly frozen.

They all heard Rogue's voice ahead of them "Bobby what did you do?"

"I didn't do this." the blonde answered

"No," The professor announced "I did." he wheeled himself across the floor stopping right in front of the trio "And the next time you feel like showing off, don't."

Andria made sure to stand right in their line of sight so they could see the disapproving look on her face, especially John who had been trying to impress her recently. A breaking news update came on the tv behind her, she made sure to listen.

"Breaking news, we're coming to you live from Washington where there's been an attack in the oval office of the white house. Details are still coming in, but we have been informed the president and vice-president were not say the attack involved one or more mutants."

Andria was shocked 'What, but why?!'

She and Scott made eye-contact and he turned to the professor "I think it's time to leave, Professor." "I think you're right." The trio in front of them instantly flocked towards Andria and in record time they got all of the students out and into the vehicles, returning to the mansion in record time.

After all the students were settled, Andria went to the Professor's office to join the others and walked in just as her brother said "My opinion, Magneto's behind this."

"No, I don't think so Scott." Jean answered

The professor provided an explanation for her "While Eric is capable of organizing something like this from prison for him it would be irrational. It would only hurt his goal of mutant prosperity."

"You mean superiority" Scott interrupted.

"You're right, if eric had his way…"

"Of course you know how the government will respond, they'll reintroduce the registration act." Storm said getting back to the point.

"Or worse, the president could declare a state of emergency, place every mutant in the country under arrest."

"Do you think the assassin was working alone?" Jean asked.

"Well, we'll only know if we find him before the authorities do, I've been trying to track him using cerebro but his movements are inexplicably erratic." He turned to Storm "I'll give you more exact coordinates. Storm, Jean, I'll need you to take the jet and try and pick him up." he turned to Andria noticing she hadn't spoken. "Tell us what you think of this Miss Summers."

"Me, I honestly think it's someone in the government who still holds a grudge against mutants and paid off some mutant hitman to get everyone riled up again."

"That is another possibility, I'll keep it in mind."

Andria looked at the clock and noticed what time it was "Now if you excuse me I have a tutoring session I have to attend to." She exited the room and headed towards the library.

Two hours later Andria sat at a table with her students when she suddenly heard the familiar roar of an engine approaching. Her eyes widened and her whole body shook with excitement 'He's back, Logan's home!'

"Miss Summers?" one of the children asked "Are you okay?"

She suddenly noticed her students staring at her and laughed nervously "Uh….Session over for today see you tomorrow!" she quickly threw her leather jacket on and raced out of the library and down the hall. 'Logan!'

Logan walked inside of the mansion and was met by Rogue, "Logan!" she quickly gave him a hug careful not to touch his skin.

"Ya' miss me kid?" he asked

"mm...Not really."

"Mhm...How ya' doing?"

"I'm okay, how are you?"

He made the "Could be better" face and noticed booby walking up to them "Who's this?"

Rouge turned "Oh, this is Bobby, He's my…"

"I'm her boyfriend." the blonde interrupted sticking out his hand for Logan and when they shook Bobby froze his hand "Call me Iceman."

"Right…" he looked at his hand as it quickly thawed then looked back to Rogue "Boyfriend?" he looked at them confusingly "So how do you guys…"

"Well we're still working on that." Bobby answered

Just then Storm came down the stairs spotting Logan "Look who's come back, just in time."

"For what?" Logan asked

"We need another babysitter."

"Babysitter?"

"Nice to see you again Logan."

Just then Jean started down the staircase "Hi Logan."

He looked at her in an almost trance-like state "Hi Jean." he didn't even notice Storm leaving and only snapping out of it when Bobby said "Yeah well, it was nice meeting you."

Then practically dragged Rogue away "Bye Logan, I'll see you later."

"Okay." he watched her leave then turned back to Jean staring at her for a few moments before she said.

"Storm and I are heading to Boston, we won't be gone long; the professor wants us to track down the mutant that attacked the president."

"So it was a mutant?"

"You'll be here when we get back, unless you plan on running off again."

"Well I can probably think of a few reasons to stick around."

Suddenly a group of kids came running out from the hallway and one screamed "Hurry she's coming, RUN!" Jean knew it was Andria and quickly backed away from Logan just as a red fox can around the corner and stopped to stare a Logan. Logan looked at the creature and instantly recognized the Cherry blossom, rainwater, plum scent that emanated from it. "Hey Kit."

At the mention of her name she broke into a Run then pounced toward him and in mid-flight she turned back into her human form wrapping her arms around his neck. He quickly steadied himself and wrapped his arms around her. "Miss me Kit?" he chuckled.

"Not at all."

Suddenly Scott Came down the stairs saying "Find what you were looking for, Logan?"

This caused them to let go of each other. "More or less." He answered

Jean walked toward Scott "I'll see you three later." she gave Scott a goodbye kiss and left for the hanger leaving just Logan and the Summers kids.

"Aren't you going to welcome me home?" Logan asked Scott who just stood there "Your bike needs gas." he said throwing the keys to him.

Scott caught them and threw them back saying "Then fill her up."

Andria giggled saying "Well aren't you two just the best of friends."

He chuckled and ruffled her bangs causing her to giggle.

Ayame: Hey guys I know it's been a while and I blame school and finals. I promise to keep up a little better this time.
