I forget stuff so easily ;-; I have to keep going back into the story and read just in case...I hope I'm not the only one who does that...maybe I should take notes down or something...xD speaking of forgetting stuff, I have noticed your suggestions so don't think I'm totally ignoring your ideas or anything; so far, they haven't really played anywhere or started making up any new songs/going back to old ones so basically since nothing much about music was involved, I didn't really...check in that...if that makes sense...but I have got them. In the meantime, I'd like to thank inuyashamunkey, VeridianSoul, Gyneth-Coral-Melody-Laterza, slaeyen (it's all good, I've done that before too...only usually when I don't login, I just put my name down and hope that if someone's curious about me, they'll just look up my name...), Nora678, LadyLacieOfTheEra (they actually play one of my favorite songs...what was it...ah, this'll take awhile...looking for it I mean xP), and ToLazyToLogin for reviewing! I love all of your guesses about what's going to happen next! I do that a lot when I read stories x3 I hope you enjoy this random chapter of fluff and random stuff...
Allen walked into the oddly large house with quite a queasy feeling. He knew Tyki gave him permission to come in his house, but he felt like he was trespassing. What if Tyki was sleeping? Then what? What if Sheryl was in the house, then what? He'd be screwed then. Then again, if Sheryl tried to hit him, Allen could just call the police on him since he was a minor. But then, what if Tyki got mad at him for putting his brother in jail? Let's just hope that I don't screw anything up...Tyki's car is the only one in the driveway...Allen thought, trying to encourage himself. The teen toured the house curiously and checked every room, not finding a single one with Tyki in it. He frowned and opened up another door and found Tyki's room. He knew it was his room since the last time he came here.
Tyki wasn't in his room.
Allen frowned and grasped his chin in thought. That's weird...I checked every single door in the house and Tyki's car is here so he has to be here as well? Does Tyki have a garage? Maybe he has an unknown cellar or something...or maybe a hidden attic. Where could he possibly be then? He wondered to himself. The boy nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He let out an undignified yelp and turned around quickly, tripping over a coffee table and hitting the glass with his back. He groaned in pain and Tyki, who had previously tried tapping Allen's shoulder, stared at him a few times, blinking. He chuckled and walked over, holding out his hand. Allen opened one of his eyes and took the hand.
"Erm...um, sorry, I was...uh..." He sputtered.
"You're quite clumsy, aren't you?" Tyki asked.
"A bit..." Allen admitted regrettably.
"Is your back okay?" Tyki questioned and Allen nodded, rubbing his left shoulder.
"Yeah, it's fine." He mumbled.
"Sorry about not answering the door, I was in the bathroom." Tyki informed and walked off with Allen in tow.
"It's fine..."
"Why are you so jumpy?" Tyki asked curiously as he opened the fridge.
"Oh, no reason...just...didn't really know if you had company over or..." Allen trailed off, hoping Tyki wouldn't catch on. Tyki pulled out an orange juice carton and opened it.
"Sheryl." He stated bluntly.
"Hm?" Allen hummed, looking up from where he was fiddling nervously with his sleeves.
"You thought maybe Sheryl was here so you were afraid." Tyki explained, narrowing his eyes.
"No! Not at all! I just...I mean, if anyone was here and watched me randomly walk into your house they might think I'm a robber or something and try to attack me..." Allen said, biting his inner lip, hoping Tyki would believe the lie. Tyki stared at him for a long time before reaching into the cupboard for a few cups.
"Juice?" He offered.
"Oh, no, I'm fine..." Allen muttered with a dismissive wave. Tyki poured him a glass anyways and handed it to him. "Um...thanks..." He mumbled.
"You're welcome. I don't have any tea so you'll have to make do with that." Tyki replied. Allen furrowed his brow.
"I have a feeling you just stereotyped me." The teen muttered and sipped his juice. He really did like orange juice, but Tyki already gave him enough.
"Perhaps." Tyki smirked and draped his arm around Allen's shoulders.
One thing that was similar between Lavi and Tyki was that they were both quite touchy.
"So why'd you come over?" He asked, leading Allen to the couch.
"What, I have to have a reason to visit?" Allen questioned, raising a brow at the man. Tyki stared down at him and blinked.
"I guess not, but you should text me next time you come over, you know, just in case there really is someone over..." He muttered bitterly, thinking of Sheryl. He and his brother had not been on good terms lately. Not since he spotted him and Allen together that is.
"Sorry..." Allen apologized. He seemed to be doing that a lot lately...
"It's alright. There's not really much to do over here though. I mean, I don't really have any video games or anything." Allen gave Tyki an odd look.
"You know I don't play video games."
"Yeah well, what do you do in your free time then?" He asked. Allen found this nice, actually. Usually couples would argue to each other about how they didn't know enough about each other and then they would start throwing random questions at each other; but him and Tyki were just casually bringing the questions up, not forcing each other into anything.
"Well, I usually play...and sometimes write...um...I need a hobby." Allen said with realization. Tyki chuckled and bit and hugged him closer.
"Well, I don't own a keyboard and I'm pretty sure it'd be creepy if I just watched you write songs all day." Tyki paused and thought to himself before continuing on. "Are you doing anything today? Tonight?" He asked. Allen tilted his head in thought. That's right, I have sessions with Bak at one, but that only lasts until two; then I have practice from three to seven since they upped the time for practicing...I should probably try to get us a place at a bar as soon as possible. I mean, I can always schedule it next month or a few weeks from now, but if I procrastinate, then I'll forget about it until the day our bet is on and it'll be too late then and I am so winning that bet.
"Yeah, my schedule is a bit busy today...depending on how the day goes today, I might be busy again tomorrow." Allen informed quite glumly.
"Oh? What's got you so busy all of a sudden?" Tyki asked.
"Well, I mean, I'm not busy in the morning and I usually wake up early anyways..." Allen said.
"Well, I guess we'll just have to make do with the time we have, huh?" Tyki asked coyly and caressed his cheek, causing the boy to look up.
Allen's heart started hammering in his chest as Tyki's face got closer to his. Oh crap, he's gonna kiss me...but how? There are so many types of kissing so how am I supposed to know which kind he wants to do? God, I suck at this relationship thing...Allen thought and closed his eyes with the final thought of 'I'm just going to go with it.' Their lips pressed together and Allen was able to determine what was going on whenever Tyki's lips started moving. Oh my god, this is so...so...I don't even know the word for it...Allen thought, his blood rushing quickly, most of it staying in his cheeks. Allen's mind was buzzing with frantic questions. What if I'm doing it wrong? What if I'm a bad kisser...what if I have bad breath? Ugh, this is so embarrassing...Allen thought, wishing that he could read minds so he could try to improve what he was doing wrong if he was doing something wrong. Tyki pulled away and kissed at the freshly applied bandage on his lip before kissing his neck like he did last time. If he keeps doing that, he's gonna leave a mark...Allen thought dazedly, tangling his hand in Tyki's hair. The elder licked the specific spot he'd been paying attention to and then started kissing Allen again, starting from his jaw. Once he got to his lips, one of their phones went off.
"What the hell, really?" Tyki muttered to himself and pulled out his phone.
Received: Sherry (Sheryl), 10:21am - Are you at home?
Tyki narrowed his eyes at the message and darted his eyes over to Allen, who propped himself on his elbows.
Sent: Sherry (Sheryl), 10:21am - No
Received: Sherry (Sheryl), 10:21am - Where are you?
Sent: Sherry (Sheryl), 10:22am - None of your business.
Received: Sherry (Sheryl), 10:24am - Well then I'm coming over to your house.
Sent: Sherry (Sheryl), 10:25am - Good luck with that.
"Who was that?" Allen asked as Tyki pocketed his phone.
"No one...can we continue this somewhere else?"
That isn't suspicious at all...
"Um...I g-guess..." Allen stuttered, helping himself up. Tyki led him outside and they both got in his car. "Is there a reason you're acting strangely?" Allen questioned, voicing his thoughts.
"Not really." Tyki said and looked in his rear view mirror. "I just don't feel like us getting walked in on." He muttered, pulling out of the driveway. Allen frowned at him.
"Then how else are we supposed to hang out?" Allen asked. Tyki drove down the road, looking around.
"You said you lived in the house Lavi does, right?"
"Yeah, but how do you know where he lives again?"
"I never did tell you, did I? Well, long story. Anyways, it'd be suspicious if I parked at your house, right? I'll just park across the street." Tyki paused and turned to Allen. "Is Cross home?" Allen stared at him for a long time, forgetting that Tyki knew about Cross already.
"Uh...I don't think so...huh...he's been gone for awhile actually..." Allen whispered to himself. Tyki stared at him expectantly.
"I guess that's why you're poor, huh?" Tyki asked amusingly.
"I'm not poor! And even if Cross was home, it's not like he'd actually work for any money! I wonder when he's coming back though..." Allen said aloud. Tyki rolled his eyes and parked at the bank. They both looked around curiously for any signs of life before scurrying into Allen's house. "Why did we do that?"
"I actually don't know..." Tyki mumbled, chuckling to himself and sitting on the couch. Allen sat next to him and nearly yelped whenever Tyki suddenly kissed him. It was quite unexpected...not bad, just...unexpected. Allen wrapped his arms around Tyki's neck and kissed him back. A gleam of silver caught Tyki's eye and he pulled back. How did he not notice the chains before?
"What?" Allen asked, confused about Tyki's actions. Tyki wrapped his fingers around the two chains and pulled them out.
"Two?" He questioned. Allen blushed and averted his gaze. He pulled one of them out of his hand.
"I had this originally, but lost it back in England so I just got another one...I'm not sure which one I should really wear now so I wear them both...is that weird?" Allen asked.
"A bit." Tyki answered honestly.
"Well, what else am I supposed to do?" Allen asked quietly.
"Well, you could put both pictures in one locket. One on the left side and one on the right." Tyki suggested.
"I guess I could...I'll do it later..." He mumbled, tucking them back into his shirt. The red mark Tyki made before caught his attention and he slid his thumb over it, deciding not to tell Allen about it. He knew he'd get yelled at it later, but he'd love to hear about the stories of others questioning it. Allen brought up a different topic. "So apparently Kanda graduated." Allen muttered.
"Really? I've seen him go to school recently though." Tyki said with a frown. Allen raised an eyebrow at Tyki's claim, wondering why he would possibly be watching him.
"Really? Weird...Neah told me he graduated..." Allen mumbled.
"Maybe he just visits...?" Tyki offered; Allen shrugged. "What's with the random topic anyways?" Tyki asked.
"I dunno, I just find it weird...I always thought that since Kanda and Lavi were in the same grade, they'd graduate together."
"Well, maybe he got sick of school. I know I did." Tyki commented and then paused. "Wait, why aren't you in school right now?"
"I'm homeschooled."
"Oh."
"Yeah..."
"So you really are busy in the mornings then, huh?"
"Until one..."
"What happens at one?"
"I have...a session...with my doctor..." Allen admitted unwillingly.
"What kind of session?" Tyki wondered aloud.
"...well, like...counselling..." Allen replied.
"...counselling for what?" Tyki asked warily. He didn't want to make Allen uncomfortable, but he felt as if he should know things like this.
"...just...counselling...for, like..." Allen trailed off. If he told him, would Tyki feel different about him? Would he think that Allen 'needed help' just like everyone else?
"Depression...?" Tyki guessed.
"...yeah..." Allen muttered, fiddling with his gloves.
"I see...well, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm right here." Tyki cooed and ruffled his hair. Allen stared at him dumbly.
"Um...okay..." He mumbled, wondering if he should tell Tyki about everything else.
"Is there anything else you want to tell me about?" Tyki asked. "Just to get it over with?" He added.
"Well...there's my arm..."
"Ah, yes, that girl at the cafe spoke about that..." Tyki said, remembering the incident. "Are you going to show me?"
"I guess..." Allen mumbled and slowly lifted up his sleeve. Tyki's eyes widened and Allen immediately pulled it back down.
"...what happened?" Tyki asked.
"...I...don't like talking about it..." Allen whispered. "When Mana...our house caught on fire and...some of it fell on my arm when he..." Allen quietly whispered.
"I see...you don't have to talk about it..." Tyki mumbled. "Anything besides that?"
"Um...well...I have anxiety...I take medicine for that though, so it's not really a big deal...but I do forget sometimes...and sometimes the medicine doesn't work...I should probably get that checked today..." Allen mumbled. Tyki stared at him for a long time. He's probably thinking I'm messed up...Allen thought, looking anywhere but at Tyki. Tyki moved forward and hugged him.
"I'm not judging you."
"...thank you, Tyki..."
"You're welcome, boy. So, what should we do until one?" The elder asked. Allen shrugged, he didn't exactly have that many things to do at his house either.
"I dunno..."
"We could play cards." Tyki offered with a smirk. Allen felt a sly smile grace upon his lips.
"Really? I could do that." Allen grinned. Tyki gave him a pointed look.
"No cheating."
"Awe, but that's no fun." Allen grumbled. "I have the worst luck."
"Well, let's see about that."
Kanda truly hated going to the school twice a day. He graduated early for a reason. That reason was not so he could visit the three idiots at lunch everyday and then drive there again to pick them up. That was such a waste of gas. So, Kanda made sure to send them all texts saying that he wouldn't be doing it anymore from now on (which he probably would end up doing later anyways). It was when he was on his way home from work that he saw quite an odd couple in the street. They both looked to be up to something too. What's that stupid beansprout doing with Mikk? Doesn't he know that he's dangerous? Kanda thought irritably and parked at a nearby restaurant. Wait, why the fuck should I care what he does? Kanda wondered and started up his ignition again. He placed his hand on the shift and froze when he saw Tyki hold Allen's hand.
Wait...what?
Allen looked up at Tyki curiously and gave him a soft smile. They both walked in a restaurant together and Kanda just sat in his van, confused to hell about what just happened. Does that mean...this whole time...Mikk and the beansprout have been dating? Then what was that at the cafe? What the hell is going on? He wondered and then he remembered Allen's words about the bandage on his cheek and how he would shrink away when Sheryl walked into the room. He felt his fist tightening around the shift. I see, so Sheryl's pissed because him and Mikk are dating so he hit him...but...isn't that illegal? Why didn't the beansprout just fucking report it or something?...what a wuss...Kanda thought irritably and shifted gears, leaving the restaurant.
He wasn't going to tell anyone, that'd be stupid. But he did have a feeling that Lenalee already knew about it since she was the one to go watch on them when they left Denny's. Kanda wasn't sure why, but he felt like he needed to talk to her about it. No, he didn't want to talk about it, he just felt that he needed too. It's going to be fucking annoying getting her away from the rabbit or Daisy, Beansprout probably wouldn't suspect a thing since he's an oblivious little shit. Kanda thought bitterly. If someone were to read his mind, he'd probably be deemed insane for talking about rabbits, daisies, and beansprouts. He stopped the van when he parked at his apartment and scowled, turning his car off.
What else is that beansprout hiding?
In Kanda's opinion, it took too damn long-school that is. School was so annoying. He never wanted to go there again, but thanks to a few friends he had to. He had to admit that Allen was a bit smart when he applied for online schooling and not the actual thing. Public schools sucked. He'd never been to a private school so he wouldn't know how that was. Maybe he should've applied for homeschooling too. Kanda almost sighed with relief as Lavi and the others walked into the garage early. Allen still wasn't there yet since practice hadn't really started. It started in a few minutes, though. When he did arrive, he looked a lot more cheerful than yesterday; like some pressure had been taken off his shoulders.
"Good afternoon." He greeted, sitting down next to Lenalee. She beamed at him.
"Hello, Allen." She greeted back with a smile. "Is there some reason you're so..." Lenalee trailed off, unsure of how to put it.
"Annoying?" Kanda supplied, receiving a glare from Allen.
"No, that's Lavi. I mean, you seem a bit...happy today...did something happen?" Lenalee asked curiously. Allen wondered if it could've been the session today that changed his attitude. That shouldn't have changed though since he only went once so far...right? Not to mention he was given more suitable drugs for his 'problems'. He was also scolded for not putting that ointment on his arm today so he probably shouldn't be in a good mood at all.
"I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to be happy." Allen joked. Lenalee chuckled to herself and shook her head.
"I mean, like, happier than you usually are. You didn't even start a fight with Kanda yet."
"Yet." Daisya murmured, watching them cautiously. Allen shrugged and ignored the vibrations in his pocket.
"Right, so what are we doing today?" He asked brightly.
"Practicing." Lavi answered. "Did you get us into that bar yet?" He asked in a challenging tone.
"Lavi, I am not going to a bar in the morning." Allen replied slowly.
"So you're going tonight?" He asked excitedly.
"Probably." Allen answered.
"Can I-"
"No."
"I didn't even finish!" Lavi whined.
"You were going to ask to tag along, and the answer is no."
"How did you know?"
"Because you're predictable." Both Allen and Lenalee answered. The redhead frowned at them.
"Whatever! Let's just practice..." He muttered.
"Oh yeah, I was going to ask, how long before we perform? Like, how much time do we need?" Allen asked.
"We don't need time for shit, don't you remember that fucking competition?" Kanda reminded.
"That we got fourth place for?" Allen snapped and Kanda's eye twitched.
"Do you know how many bands were there?" He challenged. Allen narrowed his eyes at the guitarist.
"Still, you should always want to keep improving." Lenalee laid a hand on Allen's shoulder.
"As much as I hate to take sides, Allen's right. We're not really a band if we don't want to keep improving. I say give it a week. We've already increased our hours and we do have our own jobs to take care of." Lenalee remarked.
"Where do you guys work anyways?" The younger questioned. Lenalee tapped her chin and winked at him.
"It's a secret." She said, repeating the words Allen told them when Lavi asked about his boyfriend. Allen slowly shrugged and looked away form her.
"Um, okay." He mumbled, a bit disappointed that they wouldn't tell him. What if he actually needed to visit them for something and wouldn't be able to? Maybe they do illegal things...Allen thought and coughed into his hand, remembering Cross. Where did that bastard run off to anyways? He didn't even give me a note...unless I forgot about it...or was half asleep when I read it...or didn't see it...he sweat dropped.
"Hey, Lena, is the fridge full?" Lavi asked, unsure of when the last time he filled it.
"We've got a couple left." Lenalee informed after she opened the mini-fridge. "Do you want one, Allen?"
"Um...sure..." He answered. She handed him one and he nearly dropped it on the floor. That would not have been cool. He'd probably secretly switch with Kanda or Lavi somehow.
"Gee, what a klutz." Daisya commented, receiving a frown. Am I really that clumsy? He wondered, popping his can open, taking a sip. Lenalee watched him and then noticed something before her eyes widened considerably and she gawked at him. The girl covered her face and let a mischievous grin play on her lips.
"Allen..." She whispered in his ear so no one else would hear her. "You've got a hickey on your neck." She was quite amused when Allen spat out his drink and started coughing, his face becoming red. Everyone slowly looked over at Lenalee, wondering what she could have possibly said.
I am going to kill him.
Oh yes, and for those of you who guess for the title, I deleted the whole 'what you get' thing, so if you're curious and want to go ahead and use what you've guessed so far, PM me about it. I had another idea, but I didn't want to put even more on the topic of it. If you can guess the artist correctly...well then, wow, I love you xD I have a weird choice in music, okay...?
