T4L: Hey guys sorry about not posting this yesterday but my internet went down.
Terriermon: Again...?
T4L: Yep so I should be good for another month.
Terriermon: So anything you want to say before we get started?
T4L: Yeah actually. I've thought of a new sort of Digimon Tamers story which was inspired from my younger years, or should I say memories. I'll explain more about on my profile page later, but let's just say it's an interesting twist. I'm actually very excited to get started on it. But it'll be me of a sub story since I already have this series started.
Terriermon: Is that all?
T4L: Yep.
Terriermon: So now we all finally get to see what happened to Takato and the others.
T4L: Yep... What do you mean finally...?
Terriermon: If you had kept up the pase like you had planned to when you first started this we would have been just getting onto the next story.
T4L: Ooohhhh... Oh well, nothing I can do to change that now, except promise you all I'm really going to try and get allot of this done over the summer, maybe even posting a few chapters a day. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We've still got this chapter to get through before we begin worrying about the future chapters, and I've got a lot to write so I'm gonna start writing now.
The chosen Tamer: 158 hazardous days & nights
Section 1: Searching for clues
Chapter 11: A well-deserved rest. Or not…
Takato: Last time on The chosen Tamer: 158 hazardous days & nights. Guilmon and I along with the resistance sneaked into the Nightmare Soldiers' camp and led a surprise attack on them. Guilmon and I confronted NeoDevimon but he seemed to be amused by our last attempt at defeating him and his army. Animmense battle took place between Gallantmon and NeoDevimon which carved away at the ground and created a platue. At first NeoDevimon proved to strong for us and he forced us out of our Bio-merged form. It was then he tried to kill me, slashing his claws through my face as if it was tissue paper. I managed to Bio-merge with Guilmon once more and together we defeated NeoDevimon. After the battle Xion explained how the leveling and armor systems had been activated during the fight and that me and Guilmon had reached Level 2 and that I had acquired a weapon called NeoClaw.

Takato didn't turn towards the DigiDestined as they neared him and Guilmon. He didn't know how they'd react at seeing his now cut up face. When they went to go and stand in front of him he deselected the NeoClaw and held up his hand in a stay back motion. They reluctantly complied.
"Takato what's up?" Tai asked him.
"Nothing... Just need to catch my breath is all..." Takato lied as he pretended to be panting for air.
"You've had three hours to rest up. Wasn't that long enough for you?" Tai joked.
"Three hours? Really?" Takato asked shocked. He must have blacked out while he was bleeding out or something.
"Yeah. We all woke up tied to a pole in the center of camp about three hours ago. Our Digimon explained what was going on and we all figured you must have beaten NeoDevimon if we were all back to normal. Sense then we've all been looking for you." Matt explained.
"What happened to the Nightmare Soldiers?" Takato asked as he noticed there wasn't much noise from the battle anymore.
"They're retreating into the west. We think they hope to lose us in the forest." Izzy replied as he examined the area. It was then that he noticed the blood on the ground and let out a start.
"What is it Izzy?" Tai asked as he turned to him. Izzy pointed to the blood.
"Takato... What happened?" Joe asked cautiously approaching him from behind as he put his hand out towards Takato's shoulder.
Takato turned his head slightly so that they could see the wound marks on his face. They all let out gasps of horror as they realized what must have happened.
"That down right evil scum!" Tai said enraged as he kicked the ground.
Takato turned toward them so they could see the full extent of NeoDevimon's cruelty and maliciousness.
"It's lucky he didn't gouge your eyes out." Joe said as he walked the rest of the way to Takato and began rubbing alcohol on the wounds. Takato flinched a bit each time he did this but kept a calm composer.
After the wounds were cleaned out and dressed they all took off on Imperialdramon towards Gennai's place. And when they got there they were greeted by him. He lead Joe and Takato into an out of the way room so that Joe would be able to changed his bandages since they started bleeding again as they were halfway to Gennai's. The blood wasn't the only thing to return however as minutes after the bleeding started back up a sheering pain coursed through his face. The bleeding wasn't even half as bad as before but there was still a good amount and they were forced to hurry up to Gennai's. Once Takato got into a reclined chair Joe went straight to work on wrapping up Takato's face in bandages.
"Are you almost done?" Takato asked with another groan of pain as Joe tightened the bandage.
"Almost, I just have to bandage up your chin and we'll be done." Joe replied.
"Good, I was starting to get uncomfortable in this seat." Takato said ironically in a relieved voice. "Not to mention I want to talk with Gennai and see what the Nightmare Soldiers are up to now." Takato added.
"Same here." Joe replied. "Me and the others fought really hard for peace to be restored to the Digital World, and we aren't too happy that the nightmare Soldiers are now threatening that peace we fought so hard for."
"I may not have been with you guys during all of that, but I know what it feels like, and I know that if they aren't stopped soon they might end up in my Quadrant as well." Takato responded.
"There!... All done." Joe said suddenly." Lets go and see what Gennai's learned.
"Yeah." Takato agreed getting up and following Joe out of the room they had been in.
When Joe and Takato entered the living room they were greeted by the DigiDestined, their digimon, and Gennai himself who gestured to a seat beside him for Takato which he took happily.
"How are you feeling Takato?" Gennai asked as he sat down. "You've been through a lot in the last few days."
"I'm okay, just don't ask me to fight in another war anytime soon..." Takato responded in a joking manner. They all laughed in good humor. They were all in good spirits with their victory against the Nightmare Soldiers still fresh in their minds. Takato was the first to sober up, so it was him who was designated to bring up the next subject. "I know no one wants to be the one to bring this up so I gues I'll be the one to do so." Takato said and then they were all facing him knowing exactly what was coming. "Have you or Azulongmon any news on the Nightmare Soldiers movements?" Takato asked Gennai who shook his head in response.
"No. All we know at the moment is that they are headed west. We don't think they have any clear objective in doing so other than to flee far from the resistance in order to recover from the lose of their commander." Gennai explained.
"We do know one thing though." Izzy stated causing all eyes to turn to him. "They will try and enter the real world again at some point in time. We should destroy the sub D-Terminals and then station guards around the main D-Terminals." Izzy suggested.
"Yes me and Azulongmon thought of that as we and we will see that it is done." Gennai replied.
Izzy and surprisingly Takato as well then said the exact same thing at the same time. "I still want to know more about Decker Greymon." Izzy and Takato looked at each other in surprise.
"Azulongmon and I are also puzzled about Decker Greymon. Neither of us has ever heard of such a digimon. And a digimon of that caliber of strength in the control of such an evil force is frightening." Gennai replied.
Takato having sat quite during Gennai's statement searched through the Omnivice's DigiPedia which was a list of all the Digimon he had ever met or had seen before. When he came to Decker Greymon he selected it and information on the Digimon came up. Takato read it all aloud to the others who listened intently. "Decker Greymon. Unknown level. Attacks; Plasma Decker-launcher, MailBirdra-launcher, Tera Destroyer, Cyber Blader, and Final Spark. ...No more information available for this digimon."
"Not much to go by..." Matt said for them all.
"No it's not, but I think that it's safe to say and smart to assume that there is more then just one of these digimon. "Gennai stated. "If the Demon Lord's are serious about taking over the Digital World they will have thousands of powerful digimon in their ranks and if this was the only one of it's kind they were very careless with it. Which backs up my beliefs that their are more of them."
"And no doubt they have a strategy for every outcome of the war." T.K added.
"We're going to have to keep our eyes on the Nightmare Soldiers from now on." Takato stated and everyone nodded in agreement.
"DigiDestined, you should all return to your world for now just in case they try and attack the real world again." Gennai suggested to them all.
"Alright but we're going to stay for a little bit longer just in case any news comes." Tai replied.
Gennai nodded in consent and turned his attention to Takato. "I didn't get to tell you when we met but I recognized the device on your arm as soon as I saw it. It's the Omnivice." Gennai stated shocking Takato so much he almost forgot to reply.
"How do you-" Takato began startled.
"I was the one who designed it." Gennai cut in shocking Takato into silence. He could only stare in awe and disbelief at the old man beside him. "It was one of my unfinished designs and I never expected to see it on someones wrist to say the least. "Gennai explained. "Imagine my surprise when you show up here the other day with it on your arm."
"But Gennai, if it was never finished how does Takato have one?" Izzy asked.
"How indeed?..." Gennai responded as he looked at Takato politely curious. "How did you get the Omnivice Takato if you don't mind me asking?"
"It happened when I was searching for my friends digimon. A ChaosDramon showed up and we defeated it and then it's data recompiled and it evolved into ChaosDramonX. It's power was so strong that my digivice was destroyed. 's experimental device then absorbed the digivice's data and became the Omnivice." Takato explained.
"Strange..." Gennai commented as he got up and began to pase around the room in thought. There was something in his voice that told Takato he hadn't quite bought into his story. After awhile Gennai spoke again seeming to come out of a deep thought. "Someone must have found my work and finished it... But who would be able to...? There were so many problems and side effects." Gennai said as he suddenly turned to Takato with a worried expression on his face.
"Don't worry Gennai I haven't been bothered by any side effects." Takato said consolingly.
"Well of course you wouldn't have! The side effects are slow and will only be noticed when it is to late."
"Gennai relax the personality trait and I discussed this already." Takato replied.
Gennai stared at Takato incredulously. "Personality trait?"
"Yeah an artificial intelligence that helps me use the Omnivice." Takato explained.
'Who are you calling artificial.' Xion said in a mocking hurt way.
'You know what I mean...' Takato responded.
"That makes sense. With an advanced artificial intelligence unit installed in the Omnivice, it would be able to help lesson the strain on the users' mind. Of course it would have to have an adaptable personality to prevent the user from losing their mind. But that still leaves one more side effect." Gennai stated.
"As long as I'm in the Digital World the Omnivice doesn't use any of my life force, and when I'm in the real world if I turn the Omnivice off it doesn't use any either." Takato explained.
"It seems that you've given this some thought." Gennai said impressed.
"Yeah I had to before I returned to the real world." Takato replied.
"Well now that we know Takato isn't in any danger, who do you think could have finished the Omnivice Gennai?" Matt asked.
"I don't know but I'm going to find out. Whoever wanted to create the Omnivice this badly would have had some insight into what was going to happen in the last few days." Gennai responded.
Not to long after this conversation Gennai headed out to speak with Azulongmon leaving Takato and the DigiDestined to their thoughts.
It was because of this that Takato found himself in the study with Izzy, Tentomon, and Guilmon. They were talking about the Omnivice because Izzy was still very curious about it.
"So about what you told Gennai before. Does the Omnivice really have an advanced A.I programmed into it?" Izzy asked excitedly.
"Yeah. When I first got the Omnivice it scanned my mind in order to create a personality trait that would be the most comfortable for me and it created Xion." Takato explained.
"Incredible the technology in the Omnivice must be very advanced." Izzy stated in amazement.
'Well I'm glad someone appreciates me.' Xion said seeming prideful.
'I appreciate you...' Takato thought in a confused voice.
"If only I could take a look inside." Izzy added in an under tone but looking eager to crack the Omnivice open but seemed to be restraining himself as best as he could.
"That probably wouldn't be a good idea..." Takato replied as he moved his arm with the Omnivice out of Izzy's sight.
"Yeah you're right. Something that advanced probably wouldn't be able to be put back together by someone unfamiliar with that kind of technology." Izzy replied thoughtfully. "So how many features does the Omnivice have?" Izzy asked once again in excitement.
"To tell you the truth I have no idea. Every time I use it there seems to be more and more." Takato replied.
'I have exactly 2,058 features at the moment, but I constantly update and branch out my software for what we need most at the moment.' Xion stated.
"Oh Xion says that there's 2,058 features in the Omnivice at the moment, but she constantly updates and branches out her software to create features that I need most at the current time." Takato relayed to Izzy.
"Fascinating..." Izzy replied very impressed by the Omnivice's capabilities. "How many have you used so far?" Izzy asked.
"Probably only about sixteen at most." Takato replied.
"Well I guess it's a good thing you haven't used to many of them. If you had that would mean there was a reason why you used it." Izzy replied.
"Yeah I guess." Takato replied as he thought about the new features he had just gotten. Izzy seemed to have noticed Takato's sudden lapse into himself because a moment later he was talking again.
"Takato you got something on your mind?" Izzy asked.
Takato snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Izzy startled. "Sorry. I was just thinking about the new features of the Omnivice that I just got." Takato explained. Izzy nodded in understanding.
"What is it's functions?" Izzy asked thoughtfully.
"It's a leveling system for both me and Guilmon. As we fight Digimon we get more experience and when we level up we increase in strength. I just don't understand how it'll actually work but I guess I'll understand it when I level up a few times." Takato stated confidently.
"That's the spirit!" Izzy said enthusiastically. "The only way to learn is through experience. The more you get the more you learn."
Takato smiled and then selected the NeoClaw for the next part of the conversation. Izzy looked taken aback when the NeoClaw appeared on Takato's hand, but he quickly recovered from the shock and a look of enthusiastic curiosity came over his face. "This is the NeoClaw I got after defeating NeoDevimon." Takato explained at seeing the curious look on Izzy's face.
"Is it a sort of weapon or something?" Izzy asked curiously.
"Yeah but I'm not quite sure what it's able to do yet." Takato replied.
"Well the only way to find out is to use it. So maybe later you can practice using it." Izzy suggested helpfully.
"Yeah. That's a good Idea. Thanks Izzy." Takato replied as he de-selected the NeoClaw. Now there was only one last thing one his mind. The leveling system, he had so many questions about it and didn't know where to begin, luckily Gennai came into the room at that moment distracting them from their conversation.
"There you guys are." Gennai said upon seeing Takato and Izzy along with their partners. "The others are leaving soon and are waiting for you guys in the living room." Gennai stated.
"All right. Let's get going Takato." Izzy said as he got up and left the room with Tentomon. Takato and Guilmon along with Gennai followed him seconds later. "So any news?" Izzy asked Gennai.
"Not yet. But we have had the sub D-Terminals destroyed, and have stationed guards by the main D-Terminals." Gennai replied.
"Hopefully they stay quite for awhile." Takato added as they entered the living room.
"Alright guys we should get going, even though time goes faster here than back home it is probably getting late now." Tai stated as he got up and made his way for the door. Everyone followed him outside but turned when they realized they were missing someone.
"Takato aren't you coming?" Kari asked as she saw Takato standing beside Gennai watching them leave.
"No I've got things to do here still and to be truthful I don't belong in your world when there isn't danger." Takato replied.
"Well then I guess we'll see you then Takato." T.K said in understanding. "Take care of yourself."
"You too, all of you." Takato replied.
They left leaving Takato, Guilmon and Gennai to watch them go. A half hour later Takato found himself in Gennai's lab talking with him about the Omnivice.
"Aw...yes the leveling system. It was one of the core features of the Omnivice." Gennai said as he scrolled through the Omnivice and Selected it. "The leveling system basically gives you certain abilities and increases them as you level up. The Hp is your health points, it increases the amount of damage you can withstand. The Mp is magic points, as your level increases you'll acquire different abilities which will use these magic points. The Ds is DigiSoul. This determines how long you can sustain a Digimon's Digivolution. These three stats will recover over time." Gennai explained. "Offense is your strength. Defense is also basic. Speed determines how fast your Digimon is. Intelligence is how smart you and your Digimon are. It starts at zero as your normal intelligence to balance the effects. Blocking determines how often you and your digimon can block and attack and how successfully it can be done." Gennai finished.
"What about the weapon and Armor levels?" Takato asked.
"The higher the level the stronger the weapon and armors can get. You can also get better weapons and armor." Gennai stated.
"I see...I think I understand now. Thanks Gennai." Takato replied as the two of them got up from their seats.
"Is there anything else that you'd like to know?" Gennai asked as they walked out of the room.
"Actually yes. What about the Chaos, Hazard, and Harmony levels?" Takato asked.
"I don't know to much about them. I never designed those. I think the Omnivice created those itself do to the presence of Hazard within you." Gennai stated. "It is possible that they measure the balance between the three within you, so I'd keep them as close in levels as I could if I were you Takato."
"Right. I'll do that then." Takato replied.
"Anything else?" Gennai asked.
"No. And I think that it's time for me to get going too." Takato replied as Guilmon caught up to him and Gennai. Gennai nodded in understanding.
"Where are you going to go now?" Gennai asked as he led the way to the front door.
"I'm thinking about going to a canyon for a bit of training. Know any around here?" Takato replied as they reached the door.
"Yeah there's one on the other side of the forest to the east." Gennai stated. "Here I'll put the coordinates in your Omnivice." Gennai said as he took Takato's arm with the Omnivice and selected the DGPS - Digital Global Positioning System and put in some coordinates. "There I also put in my house and a few other worth while places for you."
"Thanks Gennai." Takato said as he and Guilmon began to walk away but then stopped and turned around. "You will let me know if any news reaches you you right?" Takato asked.
"I'll make sure you know." Gennai replied with a smile. And with that Takato and Guilmon left and arrived in the canyon without incident after about a two hour hike. The two of them were enjoying their peaceful surroundings after days of fighting.
"Okay Guilmon are you ready to train." Takato said as he turned to him.
"Yep." Guilmon replied happily waving his tail excitedly.
"Good, because we're going to train hard tonight." Takato stated as he selected the NeoClaw. "It's time o see what this thing can do." Takato said as he walked over to a large boulder and placed the NeoClaw on it,testing their strength. They sank into the rock with ease encouraging Takato to continue his tests. H moved his NeoClaw down the rock slowly cutting throw the rock with ease. "Nice. This is pretty strong!" Takato said excitedly, but as his wounds from the very same claw gave another pa-ign of pain his excitement dissipated noticeably. "Alright down to business." Takato said to Guilmon who nodded. "I'll race you to see who can slice through the most boulders." Takato said as he set a timer."Ready... Set... Go!" And the two of them were off. Slicing through as many boulders s they could. Takato raced through the boulders slicing them with ease while Guilmon preferred leaping and slashing, causing the boulders to explode into clouds of dust and debris. Takato could feel the sweet running down his face as the minutes round down, Guilmon was also getting noticeably more exhausted, and then finally the timer hit zero and the two stopped. They had tied with each other.
The two of them looked at the piles if rubble around them and marveled at their work. "What now Takato?" Guilmon asked.
"I just wanna do one more thing here and then we should go back to the southern Quadrant." Takato replied.
"What are we gonna do?" Guilmon asked.
"I'm gonna jump the canyon." Takato said in a determined voice with a glint in his eyes. He had been thinking of trying this for awhile now, ever since the IceDevimon swarm but he had never had the chance to. So he and Guilmon hiked up the canyon and found a decent scrap of discarded metal. Takato ran down the canyon slope a quarter of the way and then jumped on. Seconds later he felt the feeling of weightlessness engulf him. He was again almost to the other side when he began to loose altitude. But this time he had a plan for this. With swift movements the NeoClaw was sent into the side of the canyon and Takato slid down the canyon with ease controlling his fall. "This is what I'm talking about!" Takato shouted excitedly as he reached the bottom.
Guilmon was there to meet him when he got there and was just about to say something when a huge digimon flew down from the sky towards them. It stopped feet above them and spoke.
"Takato Matsuki. Azulongmon has requested your presence in his palace as soon as possible. I am here to escort you there." The digimon stated.
"Sure but who are you.?" Takato asked as he stared up at the digimon hovering above him.
"I am Varodurumon and a very long friend of Azulongmon. Now hurry this is urgent." Takato nodded in understanding and he and Guilmon climbed onto Varodurumon's back and they were off.

T4L: Well finally after about three years I'm done with the first section of this story. Wow it's been that long... Times flying by fast people and I'm getting older! *Panics*
Terriermon: Well da...
T4L: Shut up Rabbit! This is serious!... Anyways the next section will take awhile to be out because I'm going to have to do some research for ir. You'll understand when It comes out. Section 2 - Western Quadrants big surprise. We're finally getting to the good stuff. Well I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter I'll do my best to get the next section out by next month but no promises until then see ya.
