Under Earth; Just a note for readers.
Hello Peoples! This is just a note…
In general I get annoyed when I have followed a story and a writer sticks up a note like this as a chapter, but after I got a message from a reviewer I think I understand why it is done now and it is a courtesy from the writer. When someone asks me to update or brings up a point they don't understand I try to address it in the next chapter and post rather quickly. I got a review from someone stating they didn't buy the whole Nick choosing Judy as a mate after a day while being less and more advanced than us, so let me explain a few things. Unfortunately I cannot respond to a guest, but if anyone is reading this crap, and hasn't caught the cryptic or underlying things in the story and wants some explanations without me giving away the story line, here you go…
Nick has chosen Judy as a potential mate, (They are not mated) there is something that must happen in his culture for that to be an accepted fact. Jack made this clear at the table. He is a bit of an Ass and didn't explain this fully and was using it as a distraction to get what he wanted/needed. Judy has not chosen him.
After one day- Nick knows how long he has been on the Hopps farm and how long Judy was taking care of him by simply looking at the moon and stars. Something he noted the night him and Judy were out in the woods before Jack arrived.
As far as being more advanced and less advanced as an ancient or prehistoric mammal. I am a history freak and have a tendency to study and look at other cultures that are outside my own. There are oddities all over the world as far as technology is concerned in the past. Many ancient civilizations managed to build and move stones that weighed more than the modern machines we use in today's times- no I'm not talking about the puny stones of the pyramids. I'm talking massive rocks they carved into geometrical shapes that weighed tons more, and somehow they managed to move and fit these things together so tightly and stack them so that you can't even stick a needle between them long before the Egyptians started building. They also managed to get them from one place to another on ranges or in areas where it 'shouldn't' have been possible.
Myans developed time by looking at the stars, and what we consider as advanced today destroys the planet on a daily basis instead of us being in sync with the world around us. The capabilities and 'supernatural' qualities Nick has are based on real animals though some may be exaggerated. The reason 'they' do not live in Judy/Jacks world is because they are not accepted by having some of those abilities and have chosen not to accept the way the 'modern' world works and it is also a reversed scenario. They weren't accepted and couldn't change those things. They don't fit. There are living animals today that still haven't changed since prehistoric times, and yet they thrive and are still some of the most feared and dangerous animals on the planet.
I have been overwhelmed by the helpful comments and appreciation for the stories I write. But I am human and not perfect and I'm new at this (Being that others are reading my things). Pointing out a flaw to me is a great thing because if I can't see it I can't fix it. I'm just writing this for fun. But as with any story it does have my ideas and the way I think in it. It won't be getting really dark even though it may seem that way with some of the things that are in it already. Hopefully this little note explains a few things without giving a ton away. If the story veers off for someone to much to follow, it is a matter of personal choice on what we can accept as reasonable and logical or enjoyable and entertaining. I still appreciate the comments and the time anyone is taking to read my crap. To each their own and I'm still not offended one way or another. I was unsure if it was polite to address reviewers directly and have recently started doing so. I am listening to anyone who has taken the time to voice their opinions or asked for updates and clarification on theings and am grateful for it. After looking at my other stories, apparently I am a hopeless romantic and a sappy idiot… Go figure. Unfortunately I can't address these issues in the story just yet. I guess there are some Disney traits in this tale, because even Cinderella and the Prince fell in love in just one night. Hmm, that seems to be a common trait in their older films and a few newer ones. Snow white, Aurora, Jane, Ariel… just to name a few….. Apparently it wasn't a one sided thing because their potential mates, the males- felt the same way. I will be taking a break for a while as I have been writing non stop for a bit now and life just happened. Dont ya love it when everything hits the fan at the same time (Snicker). Yeah, my car just exploded. If you can't laugh about it, no reason to scream either. Nod to all the Gods~
