Author Note: Happy Friday! I am hoping to get this storyline done before it airs. Please remember that I only post new chapters every week! Thank you! Chapter 14: Powehiwehi

Steve and Kono are working on figuring out what Joe is up to. Steve was really worried about his mentor and what he was keeping from him. Steve knew that it had something to do with his mother and just wanted to make sure that she was okay and he also wanted answers about why she would keep Wo Fat being his foster brother before he was born. He wasn't mad at her for keeping the secret. He was just mad that he found out from Wo Fat. He also wanted to be the person that told his mother that he killed Wo Fat after Wo Fat had kidnapped him again.

"Kono, did you find anything?" Steve asked his wife with a small smile.

"No not yet. I know that he is calling someone. It would be easy if I can read lips but I am working on it." Kono responded to her husband with a small smile of her own.

"Just keep working on it." He said to her. They kept working on it for a few hours before going to bed. Steve was happy that he had her by his side. He could not even think about losing her to someone.

The next morning

Steve and Chin were on the way to find out what was going on with their victim. Kono was going to meet them there in a few since she wanted to go talk to Adam after a year since she found him in Vancouver. He was her friend and Steve had to accept it. He knew that Adam would never put his wife in danger.

"So where did my cousin go this morning?" Chin asked Steve.

"She went to talk to Adam since today marks their one year since she found him." Steve revealed to his friend.

"And you are okay with that?" Chin said to his friend.

"Yeah I am fine with that. I know that she won't let him hurt her and he won't hurt because he is afraid of me and you." Steve responded to him

"yeah he would be stupid to hurt her since he knows that we will come after him." Chin responded to him with a small smile as they got to the hospital to go question the suspect about why he was trying to get into the prison.

Kono drove all the way to Adam's house and smiled when she saw her friend waiting for her. He knew that she was going to talk to him about his involvement with his father's business. It was not a safe business even through Adam was trying to make it legal. She did not want to lose her best friend at all.

"Hey Adam." She greeted him.

"Hi. Let's have breakfast." Adam revealed to her with a smile. They sit down and enjoy breakfast before they start to talk about the reason that she was there. She did not want to lose him to anyone and Canada prove it and plus everything that they went through to make it back to Hawaii.

"I think that you need to leave your father's company. It is a bad place to be at." Kono revealed to him.

"Kono, this is my father's legacy. I can't leave." Adam revealed to her. "And if that is what you think then I want you not to be here anymore."

"Alright I will go but just know that I will always be there for you." Kono responded to him. Kono left the house and got into her car.

Steve could tell that his wife was not happy about something at the hospital so before the boys left, he decided to talk about it with his wife.

"Hey what happen at Adam's?" Steve asked his wife.

"Not good. I don't think that we are friends anymore." Kono responded to him as she walked closer to her husband. She needed him to be there for her.

"hey it's going to be okay." Steve told her

After the case was done, Steve noticed that Adam had walked into the headquarters. Steve walked out of his office to talk to Adam.

"Hey Adam, what are you doing here?" Steve asked him.

"I just wanted to talk to Kono about something that happen earlier today." Adam responded to him.

"I know that she is not happy about what went down between the two of you and I need you to fix it. She loves you as a friend and you need to make it right between you and her. She is just trying to make sure that you are safe." Steve revealed to him

"I will talk to her." Adam said before he walked into her office.

Steve watched as Adam and Kono talked for a few minutes when they both left the room. Steve was glad that his friend was working it out with his wife. Steve walked into the room and smiled as his wife who was standing up and walking to him. He knew that everything was better for her and Adam.

Author's response to the episode: I must say that it was really nice to see Adam and Kono together but I am still a good fan of Steve and Kono. I will hope that they would give Steve and Kono a chance to be together. I am glad to see that they are giving Steve and Danny a break since they keep fighting. They need to work on that. I just want to see more the original group of five 0. It's nothing personal to Jerry and Grover but they needed to do more with the rest of team.
