They make it back to the ship and made hast back to Sanctuary. During their ride Isaac is again contacted by the Elder moon and is warped to his mind.

"What you up to Isaac, if you take me as fool not knowing what you do you're mistaking."

"Fuck off, I getting real tired of your shit!"

"Haha, I'm always listening and watching you were, now what were you doing that I lost my link with you for a moment."

"Does the name Menthuun mean anything to you?"

"I have not gone by that name nor heard it in such a long time, where did you learn this name?"

"An old friend of yours maybe… Dayloos."

The moon roars in rage of hearing the name of the one person to have defeated him.

"Don't you ever say that name in my presences again, where did you learn these names TELL ME NOW!"

"Go to hell!"

He comes out of his mind waking up in his seat.

"So Isaac what the hell was that down there was it worth it?"

"I hope so, his name is Dayloos he was a… let's just say his people were the creator race of the markers."

"So what he's coming with us?"

"Yes he might help us I convinced him to."

"It happened again?"

"Yes I think he's watching spying on us whenever we leave the station."

"He?"

"Yeah, the moon is a he."

Two hours later they arrive back at Sanctuary upon getting off the ship they find Adrian waiting for therm.

"What the hell were you three thinking you could have been spotted by those things and possibly even led them here!?"

"We knew the risks, but what we found out there might have been worth it."

"That's doesn't matter you three took that shuttle without authorization."

Madison walks in the hanger.

"If you have a problem with what I authorized them to do then you can cease howling and talk to me about it."

"Since when did I give you such authority?"

"You did, when Earth was being invaded."

"You're right… there are nearly 9 billion souls on this station if anything happens because of your actions there blood will be on you."

"I'm well aware."

Adrian walks away.

"Did you find it?"

"Oh yeah we found something alright."

"Come, to my lab."

They enter the labs.

"So what is it?"

"We found a big structure in a cave; it contained some sort of alien A.I."

"A.I.?"

"Yeah, I spoke to it."

"What did it tell you?"

"More than I can explain in a sort conversation, but it explains a lot about the markers and the moons."

"This is amazing my father was right."

"Oh it gets better; if you need more information just ask him."

"Who?"

"The A.I. he downloaded himself into the artifact."

A hologram of Dayloos emerges from the orb.

"I'm ready to assist however I can."

"My god, this is amazing."

"What's amazing is what he told me."

"What can you tell us about the markers?"

"They original markers were devices created by my race that were used to eradicate plague that had tormented the universe since time immemorial, there purpose was to biologically augment any organic organism it can reach out to via a signal emitted by itself, the markers were inspired by my races natural ability to manipulate and control DNA at will, my race was able to at a whim make temporary changes to our own genome to suite any conflict or situation we were besieged by we made and designed the markers to work with our abilities as amplifiers that focused our powers to perform these DNA augments on much larger scales."

"Incredible your race could change yourselves on the fly just like that?"

"Correct, we can alter our DNA to make our flesh impervious to projectiles such as blades and other sharp penetrating objects but only temporarily."

"What the moons what are they?"

"The moons are merely nothing but copies of the original moon, living and dead constructs that the Elder Moon can at any time possess. The one you call the Elder Moon was the first to be created, and the moons are the result of a harvest's completion, the designated marker that spawned the infection upon any race it was triggered by absorbs all the victims of the infection along with the organic and inorganic elements of the planet or planets near the infection, you know this process as convergence upon the final stages of this process a new copy of the Elder Moon is birthed."

"Copies why is it making copies of itself, for what purpose?"

"Unknown and "it" is a "he"."

"What do you mean?"

"The Elder Moon is a "he", it was once of our own, his name was Menthuun one of three emperors that ruled over our empire of the universe, he went rouge and used the markers for evil and his twisted ambitions, he believed our race can become the apex race the race to rule all other races he saw as inferior to us with an iron fist. He used the markers to alter the many innocent races to become his slaves to do his bidding they all became monsters genetic abomination as the result of the marker becoming corrupted with his evil."

"Necromorphs."

"Correct."

"Do you know about the Black Marker?"

"The back marker was one of the three original markers the black marker, the white marker, and the golden marker, before Menthuun became the first moon he used the power of the golden marker to become the first moon, it was that very one he used to bring forth the first harvest, followed by the first convergence event, the event that spawned his new form in which he claimed himself as a true living god, he escaped and harvested all other races in our empire since the markers were everywhere he only had to infect them with his evil to commence harvests on those worlds, as each of our imperial worlds fell with their destruction birthed his brethren moons."

"This overwhelming and disturbing."

"Speaking of the black marker, I have taken the liberty of looking at your government files on it… I hope you don't mind."

"I personally don't mind but I'd like you to be discreet when you do."

"I understand the human named Adrian if I caught his name correctly."

"Yes I don't think he would take kindly to us allowing an alien A.I to interface with our systems."

"I will be discreet as possible you have my word."

"What are you looking for in our file?"

"You have reports dated many years ago on your world describing an artifact recovered from a meteor creator, they believed it to have been a marker of colossal size and it was black I think this may be the black marker we created, when Menthuun betrayed everyone he attempted to complete his power and transformation by using the last markers the black and the white, what I was able to find in Dayloos's mind was him taking both of the markers and harling them into space maybe to keep Menthuun from getting them, if this is true the black marker drifted for many years in space until it came upon and fell into orbit and crashed into a planet… Earth."

"That makes scenes."

"What about the white marker?" [Carver interrupts]

"Unknown, there appears to be gaps in his memory there is no data on what happened to the white marker, I can only speculate he did the same with it as he did with the black marker, disposed of it to keep it from Menthuun."

"Thank you for the information."

"You're welcome for now I will shut down to recharge."

The hologram retreats back into the orb.
