Destined Encounters

Part Fourteen

Quinn blushed and that was saying a lot considering what they had just done together.

"Yay!" I yelled from above them. I was truly happy for them.

To make sure, Quinn asked, "You don't wanna wait?"

"Hell no," Santana said with a bright smile.

"When would you like to marry me," Quinn said shyly as she batted her eyelashes at Santana.

"As soon as possible and then ten minutes before that," Santana said and smiled even brighter when she saw Quinn's reaction.

"I love you," Quinn said and they kissed.

Something inside Quinn made her think that Santana was kidding.

But when the kiss ended, Santana said, "I'm not kidding, Quinn. I want to marry you as soon as we can. I don't want to wait to be your wife."

"I don't want to wait either," Quinn revealed, which brought the biggest smile to Santana's face.

"God, I love your smiles," Quinn said happily.

"I'll be doing a lot more because of you," Santana said, grabbed Quinn's face, and kissed her passionately again.

They kissed back and forth for a few minutes.

They broke the kiss at the same time and said, "Wow!" in unison and giggled together.

"So…what do you think?"

"Of what?" Quinn said totally oblivious.

"To getting married sooner rather than later," Santana said.

"Before now, we've haven't really discussed this yet so this is good," Quinn said happily. She paused and took in the importance of what they were discussing. "I'm actually talking about my wedding! Wow!"

Santana bashfully smiled. "That we are, my dear!"

"Six month," Quinn said, but it sounded more like a question.

"Ugh, no, not six months," Santana said impatiently.

Quinn laughed at Santana's facial expression.

"Five? Four? Three? I'm talking out of my butt here, San. I've never planned a wedding," Quinn said.

Santana scratched her head. All of a sudden, Santana's head bolted up and it scared Quinn because she jumped a little.

"Sorry," Santana said because she knew that she frightened Quinn a little.

Quinn smiled, but put up her hand. "Hold that thought. I'm cold…can we cuddle?"

"Oh, yeah, sure…I forgot," Santana said and looked down at her naked body.

When she looked at Quinn she only looked into her eyes and nothing else so she really did forget.

Quinn and Santana got under the covers and Santana laid against the headboard. She pulled Quinn into her body and wrapped her arms around her tightly.

"Is this better?"

"Much! Thank you. So what's your epiphany," Quinn said as she snuggled against Santana.

"Ok, hear me out?"

Quinn nodded her head.

"What about in two weeks," Santana said hesitantly.

"Get married in two weeks? Are you smoking something and how come you're not sharing?!"

Santana laughed, but said, "I'm not smokin' anything, I'm dead serious."

Quinn bolted up, turned to look at Santana and asked, "Hold the phone, you are actually saying you want to get married in two weeks. What about the planning?"

"City Hall?"

"You wanna get married in City Hall," Quinn said dumbly.

"Yes, I do. What do you think?"

"Honestly?"

"Of course, Quinn. It's alright…Lemme have it!"

"It just feels like…" Quinn hesitated, but Santana smiled so she continued, "Like we're running off to get married, ya know, kinda hiding."

"Oh," Santana said taken aback.

"I shouldn't have said anything…stupid…stupid…stupid…" Quinn berated herself and smacked her forehead a few times.

"Q, slow down. It's okay. Really. I just didn't think of it that way. Thank you for your opinion and telling me. We're good," Santana said, grabbed her hand, and kissed her palm.

"Listen, I know you want to marry me…I want to marry you, just as much, but I want our families to celebrate with us. Ya know?"

"I totes understand. Let me think…wait! I got it…go with me on this," Santana said.

"Okay," Quinn drawled out.

"What do think of going to City Hall, getting officially married, and then having an additional ceremony and reception?"

Quinn soaked in everything that Santana had just said. "Who'd be our witness at City Hall besides the employees? I want someone we know and love…"

"Hold on a second…I gots an idea!"

Santana got up from bed, threw on a tee shirt and tossed one to Quinn who put it on. Santana searched for her phone and found it on the desk.

She dialed a number and it connected.

"Sup?"

"How's it hanging, B?!"

"Not bad, not bad…how's it hanging for you?"

"They always hang perfectly…"

"Are you two ever going to talk like adults?" Quinn asked and chuckled.

"Nah!" they both said in unison and then laughed.

"Okay, at least I know," Quinn said.

"Love you, Quinnie…Mwah!" Brittany blew Quinn a kiss over the phone, "What can I do ya for?"

"Are you still bringing your sexiness here when you're done with school? In two weeks?"

"Does a bear poop in the woods? Absolutely…"

"Oh, good…yay!"

"Why? What cha want?"

"Bring a dress…" Santana said and abruptly hung up.

"Santana!" Quinn gasped, "Call her back!"

I watched as Brittany held the phone in her hand, crinkled her forehead and said, "Bitch!"

She had a huge smile on her face so I knew she didn't mean it.

"That's settled," Santana said and smiled at the phone. She got back in bed and immediately grabbed Quinn. They snuggled back into their old spots.

"Um, what about at least telling our parents," Quinn asked.

"Oh, wow…good call," Santana said and kissed Quinn's forehead.

She dialed her parents.

"Hello?" her Mom said when she picked the phone up.

"Hey, Mami!"

"Oh, hey, Santana. We were just talking about you…"

"Who's we?"

"Well, me, your Dad…"

"Hi," her Dad yelled into the phone.

"And your Abuelita!"

"Hola," her grandma yelled into the phone.

"Hola!" both Quinn and Santana said together.

"We wanted to call you to tell you that in two weeks' time, I will be Mrs. Quinn Lopez!" Quinn said happily.

Silence.

"Hello," Santana said into the phone.

Silence.

"Come on, you're freaking us out. We can hear you breathing," Santana said and got upset.

"We're here," her Dad said.

"So…you happy?" Santana asked.

"Um, of course we are…why the rush?" her Mom asked apprehensively.

"Have any of you just wanted to be with that person you love so badly that it's all you want," Santana asked calmly.

"Yes, Mija, I have," her father said. I saw her father squeezed her mother's hand when he said that.

"So you should understand this. Look, I just love her…more than I could ever imagine possible for me," Santana said, "We called because we wanted to let you know. We were thinking about having an actual wedding when we could afford it."

"Where are you getting married," Santana's grandmother asked more enthusiastically than Santana's parents.

"City Hall," Santana said firmly. "Britt is coming to be our witness, but she doesn't know it."

"That wasn't my idea by the way," Quinn said, "I look forward to being a part of your family."

"Well, Quinn, we look forward to it also," Santana's Dad said.

"So, two weeks," her grandmother said.

I could see Santana's family in the split screen. I saw her grandmother write down, "Surprise them!" Her mother and father nodded their heads up and down.

Just then Quinn's phone beeped.

Good night, Quinn!

She picked it up and said, "San, it's from my Mom!"

"Your Mom, Quinn?" her mother asked to change the subject.

"Yea, actually! I called and we met her mother…and her father at a coffee shop!"

"Can I tell them sweetheart," Quinn asked excitedly.

"You don't have to ask, just do it," Santana said happily.

Quinn typed in a response text and immediately she got one back.

Wow! That's great. I'd love to be a part of that…and so would Dad.

"They want to come to City Hall," Quinn said surprised.

"Cool! Give them the deets! So now that Quinn's parents seem to be coming, I'd like to invite all of you…I understand if you can't make it," Santana said humbly.

"We were going to surprise you two," Santana's grandmother said, "But I'll be there…"

"Me too," Santana's Mom and Dad said in unison.

"Then, Quinn, do you mind if this is our only wedding," Santana asked her fiancée.

"No, I don't mind at all. Honestly, I only needed one and this one sounds perfect!" Quinn said and kissed Santana's cheek.

"We'll see you all in two weeks," Santana said happily.

"Yay!" Santana's family said excitedly.

They ended the call and Santana quickly texted Brittany.

Woo hoo!

"Britt's on board," Santana said and chuckled.

Quinn shot out of her bed and exclaimed, "I'm getting married in two weeks!" She threw her arms in the air and waved them around wildly.

"I love you so much!" Santana said as she lovingly stared at Quinn.

She walked up to her chair and raised Santana's chin up. When their lips were inches apart, Quinn said, "I love you, Santana!" She kissed her with all the love she held in her heart.
