A/N: TWO DAYS IN A ROW! This is amazing, really. I decided I couldn't leave you hanging for too long. That would be mean. Thank you to everyone who favourited, followed and reviewed, here is chapter 14. Everything belongs to Rick.

It was seriously, an honest-to-god door. With a handle and everything. Percy was just staring at it with an odd expression, obviously not expecting it either.

After a moment of silence, Percy just shrugged and moved past me.

"Well, we did want to explore." He stated, taking a hold of the golden handle that contrasted so brightly against the deep red of the wood, even though both the wood and the handle were both clearly showing signs of age. Percy turned it gently and it swung open. Obviously whoever installed this door didn't expect anyone to get to it.

Inside was no less surprising. It was one room. It was circular, with quite a low ceiling, but it was no way impeding our ability to stand up. The walls were simply the same rock and dirt the tunnels were, although there were more supports and more 'torch holder thingies'. I said this to Percy and he glared at me.

The room wasn't empty either. There were three old bean bags, although they looked to be in really good condition. Whoever had built the room had built in a bar which had a mini-fridge built into it and a really old generator in next to it for it to plug into. Much to Percy's disappointment it was empty.

One section of the wall had photos covering it, all of the same people, although neither Percy nor I looked at them closely, instead inspecting the cupboards which still had food in it, although there was no way any of it was safe. There were several bags of chips and some chocolate bars which dated back 30 + years ago.

"Looking at this food is making me hungry, so I'd say now is the perfect time to eat." Percy stated, leaving no room for argument as he dumped himself down onto one of the bean bags, throwing his bag in front of him. I sat down in another bean bag after dragging it closer.

Percy pulled out two sandwiches, two cans of Coke, a big bag of Doritos's and several chocolate bars.

"Jeeze, Percy! Where did you get all this from?" I asked as he spread it out.

"The sandwiches were from the lunch buffet table." He answered, not actually answering the question.

"And the rest?" I pressed, taking a bite of my sandwich.

"Oh, all that I got from the kitchens when no one was looking."

Rolling my eyes, I carefully picked at my sandwich, at least trying to eat politely compared to Percy who was shoving as much food in his mouth as possible.

As we were eating, I took a glance at the wall of photos, trying to see the faces from where I sat, almost completely across the room from the wall.

My chewing slowed before it completely stopped and I put down my sandwich in favour of walking over to the wall to investigate what had caught my attention.

One of the photos had looked painfully familiar and a closer look provided an answer as to why.

"Oh my god." I muttered, taking the picture off the wall before inspecting the rest.

All of the photos featured the same people. One was a tall, tanned man with ebony hair and dark eyes standing next to another man with black hair and green eyes, with his arms around a shorter boy with messy black hair and blue eyes.

They were all young, the eldest probably being the same age as Percy, so around 17. The youngest looked around 14, while the middle one looked around 16.

I started when Percy's hand clamped down onto my shoulder but when I turned to see him, I didn't see the joking grin I expected, instead finding concern in his face.

"Is everything alright?" He asked, studying my face.

"Yeah… yeah, it's fine. It's just… That's my dad." I said, pointing to the youngest kid in the photo. Percy looked over my shoulder to have a closer look at the photo, although he didn't say anything. "That's Uncle Hades, Nico, Bianca and Hazel's dad," I continued, pointing to the eldest. "And that's their brother who died before any of us cousins were born. His name was-"

"Poseidon." He choked out next to me and I turned my head to him in surprise. My eyes widened at the absolute shock that had taken over my friend's face and he reached over and took the photo from me, stumbling back to the bean bags and sinking down into one. I followed closely behind him, kneeling down beside him as he stared at the photo.

"How did you know that?" I asked finally and his eyes snapped up to meet mine.

"He's my dad." He whispered, his eyes falling back to the photo, his fingers tracing the face of his father.

"Wait… Your dad?" I asked, leaning over to look at the photo more clearly. Looking between the man in the photo and the boy sitting in front of me, I could definitely see the resemblance. In fact, they basically looked exactly the same.

"Holy shit." I whispered, sitting back on my ankles, bringing my hand up to run it over my face.

"But that makes you…" Percy started, looking up at me fully.

"Your cousin." I finished for him. Silence took over us as we both stared at the photo of the now broken family.

Eventually I broke it.

"It's strange." I muttered, tracing my own fingers over the faces of my father and uncle. "They look so happy. I've never seen my dad smile like that, even when Mum was still around." I stood slowly and moved back over to the wall.

I scanned the wall and picked off another photo, this one featuring nine people. This one had the three brothers standing behind their two sisters, Hestia and Demeter. Hestia was smaller than all of them, although she is the oldest of the five children, followed by Demeter and then the three brothers. In the photo, her shoulder length, wavy brown hair was bunched around her shoulders and her childlike face beamed. She looked almost radiant in the glow of the campfire, almost as if the fire was embracing her. Demeter was next to her with her straight blonde hair pulled up into a bun. She was smiling gently, in an almost motherly way and she wore her usual necklace made of weaved grass. The three brothers looked the same as they did in the other photo, although in this one Hades was in the middle, grinning at Poseidon who was on his left while dad was caught in a headlock on his right. All three were laughing.

The other four people in the photo were standing off to the side. The first one who I looked at was the one I had only seen once. Amphitrite sat with impeccable grace along with an expression that said 'I am the greatest and no one can compete with me.' Her brown hair lay lose around her shoulders and her eyes were focused on the middle brother, although I couldn't say the emotion in her eyes was love. Next to her sat Hera, in almost the exact same position except she was solely focused on the camera with a pinched face that looked like she had swallowed a lemon. Behind them were the last two people in the photo. One was Maria di Angelo, with her kind face with her Italian heritage etched into her beautiful face. The other was Beryl Grace, looking happier than I had ever seen her. Her blonde hair was curled around her face and she was looking at my dad, much like Amphitrite was with Poseidon, except I could see the love in my mother's face.

"What happened?" Percy's voice came from behind me and I turned to see him looking at me from his spot on the bean bags, looking weary, as if he shouldn't have asked the question.

"After she had Thalia she went into a bit of a depression, becoming suspicious of Dad, saying he was cheating on her. It only got worse after she had me and she started to drink herself blind. She got behind the wheel of a car on one of the worse nights and that was it." I answered him, so used to talking about it that it didn't upset me anymore. "It took awhile for Dad to get over it and Hera was over almost all the time, helping him. Eventually they fell in love and Dad married her which was actually kinda weird because she was practically his sister."

It was silent for a while again but this time Percy broke it.

"I always thought Mum was my only family. I knew I had an Uncle that was sending us money but I thought that by 'Uncle' Mum just meant someone she was close to when she was younger who felt bad for her raising a child on her own. But suddenly I find that I have an entire family that I never knew about. I was a lonely kid and I always wished I had cousins so I could have someone to play with but I wouldn't have to share my Mum like I would have to with a sibling." He paused for a moment. "I don't know how to feel."

I crossed back to him and sat next to him, picking up one of the abandoned chocolate bars. Snapping a bit off, I passed it to him and nibbled on a bit myself.

"Do you want me to tell you about them?" I asked eventually, leaning on him.

"Yes please." He responded quietly and so I set out on the incredibly convoluted story.

He listened intently to everything I said soaking in all the information he could. I watched his face carefully and stopped many times to check if he was still okay with all of it. He seemed incredibly overwhelmed.

While telling the story, I felt my anger rising. How could they keep it from us, even when they knew we already knew Percy?

Eventually the story ended and we packed up our stuff and headed out of the small room and back out into the tunnels. We simply followed the map back to one of the exits that we thought could be closest to camp.

"Our parents built this." Percy muttered as we walked. "Well, at least, they reinforced it and made some secret entrances but still, it's pretty cool." He smiled weakly and I tried a smile back before I sighed.

"I need to speak to Dad." I whispered to him when we exited the tunnels and he just shot me a look.

We walked out of the woods just in time for the dinner call to ring out. We walked over slowly, both of us looking less than happy.

Everyone was already there by the time we got there and all looked at us when we entered. Percy went and sat down with our team but I went straight to Chiron, although the silence following me was unnerving.

"Is there something wrong?" Chiron asked, arching his eyebrow at me.

"I need to call my dad." I said quietly, hoping he wouldn't question it. It didn't work.

"Jason, that would not be fair to the others…"

"No, you don't understand. I need to speak to my dad." I tried again but to no avail.

"Jason-"

"No! I just found out that my dad has been keeping a massive secret from me and I need to know why! I need to speak to my dad!" I shouted, startling him and almost everyone else in the hall. The silence the fell over everything made me hyper aware of the tears that rolled down my face.

Thankfully Chiron just lead me from the hall and to the Big House where he passed me my phone and I quickly dialled the home phone and walked into one of the adjoining rooms.

"Hello?" Thalia answered and I almost started sobbing at the sound of her voice.

"I need to speak to Dad." I said as strong as I could.

"Jason? What-"

"I need to speak to Dad."

"Jay, you know that-"

"I don't give a flying fuck if Dad is busy or not! I need to fucking speak to him." I yelled through the phone. I didn't hear anything for a while before I heard Dad's voice down the line.

"Jason? Is everything okay at the Camp? Thalia came in slightly freaked out. She said that you swore." He sounded concerned over the phone and I almost gave up all my anger but then I remembered it wasn't only for me that I was doing this.

"Why didn't you tell me that Percy is our cousin?" I asked softly.

"… Jason…" Was all he said, obviously not wanting to answer.

"No, Dad. You owe me an answer."

"It's complicated, Jason…"

"Don't Dad. Please. Not just for me but also for Percy."

"I'm not going to talk about this!" He suddenly snapped, startling me.

"Dad! I'm not a child! Whatever the reason you can tell me!"

"Don't push this, Jason."

"Why the hell not!"

"Because I said so!"

"Dad! Just tell me!"

"I can't Jason!"

"Yes you can! Please Dad. I just want an answer."

"It hurts too much!" He finally yelled before the dial tones hit my ear.

I walked out of the room, almost completely numb. I passed the phone over to Chiron and walked out silently, heading to the cabin rather than the dining hall. I collapsed on my bed and curled up. I felt like crying but the tears just wouldn't come.

Not ten minutes after I got there Percy arrived, sitting next to me on the bed. When I finally looked up at him, he pushed the bag of Doritos from earlier towards me, encouraging me to eat.

We ate in silence until we were finished. Percy got up and moved away, only to come back moments later and pass me my PJ's.

"I know this is a lot Jason, but it's not going to change anything. You're still my friend and let me tell you, when someone becomes my friend, it's hard to get rid of me." He smiled at me softly before getting me to lie down.

That night we fell asleep next to each other, finding comfort in the family we never knew we had.
