I'm so sorry but I kinda adopted the fic on a whim because it was too good to stop and my mind went wild with ideas for it so I'm basically having to go back through ALL of the Prince of Tennis episodes and manga so I can get my facts right.
Now I know I'm not the original author but thank you so much for all of the support I've gotten so far and I will try to live up to your expectations!
"Okay everyone gather up!" Ryuzaki-sensei yelled out to the regulars. "Here's the lineup for your match against St. Rudolph. Singles 1 is Tezuka, singles 2 Fuji, singles 3 Echizen." Ryuzaki took a pause and looked down at the sheet again before continuing to speak. "Doubles 1 Kikumaru and Oishi. And doubles 2 is Momoshiro and Kaido."
"NO!" Momo exclaimed. "I have to play doubles?! And with this guy?"
The sound of hissing could be heard behind Momo. "Not like I'm happy about it either."
"What did you say?!"
"I said it loud and clear. Were you too dumb to understand it?"
"Shut up Mamushi!"
Another loud hissing was heard as it appeared as though a fight was about to break out between the two regulars.
However, before anything could proceed the referee called the players to the court.
Momoshiro started to walk towards the courts but Kaido cut in front of him, which then turned into a race between the two to get onto the court.
"You two," The ref called out, spotting Kaido and Momo in the middle of a fight over who got to the court first. "Break it up!"
"Look at them," sneered one of the players from St. Rudolph standing on the opposite side of the court. "Can't even go five minutes without arguing, dane."
"What did you say, idiot!" yelled Momo and Kaido at the same time making the other player cower behind his partner.
In the end the game was a close one. Kaido had to use his new boomerang snake and Momo's smash increased power. Overall it appeared to be a match between the two rivals trying to be better than the other rather than a match against the St. Rudolph players.
The match had seemed like St. Rudolph was going to win with the score being 5-3 in St. Rudolph's favor. However, Momo got a little carried away and ended up hitting a smash that hit the dane guy, aka Yanagisawa Shinya, in the face and knocking him out making St. Rudolph default.
Next up was the golden pair vs Akazawa Yoshiro and Kaneda Ichiro. In the end St. Rudolph managed to surprise everyone and beat the golden pair mainly because Eiji's stamina was very poor. However, next up was Ryoma versus the teams very own tensai's, little brother.
Ryoma was still very pissed off about all of the talk about the Prince of Tennis returning. He was the prince and whoever was trying to take his spot was just going to embarrass him and give his tittle a bad name.
He figured a good match was just what he needed to get all of his pent up frustrations out. And he was right.
However, he did almost have an emotional backlash at having to play a left handed player for the first time since his father passed away. He never though that something as stupid as a person playing with their left hand would get to him as much as it did, remind him of his father as much as it did.
There was one thing Ryoma noticed about Yuuta though, and that was his special move. The move was not just powerful it was harmful and not to the opponent but to the user. The move (Twist Spin Shot), if Yuuta continued to use it, would eventual harm his arm so much that he would no longer be able to play. And if there was one thing that was drilled into Ryoma's head it was never to hurt yourself so much that you can't continue to play.
In the end Ryoma ended up having to create a new move in order to counter the Twist Spin Shot he called Drive B and winning the match 6-3.
"OCHIBI!" Was all the warning Ryoma got before he was tackled into a hug by Eiji cutting off his air passages.
"Eiji let him go." The mother hen of Seigaku said to his doubles partner.
"But Oishi." Eiji whined.
"He can't breath!" Momo yelled.
"But I want to hug him." Eiji started to get a little teary eyed.
"Oi Echizen," Momo yelled seeing the boy start to look a little blue, "Echizen can you hear me?"
"Fushhh shut up baka."
"Oi what was that Mamushi?!"
"Baka."
"Eiji let Echizen go." Oishi tried again.
"No! Ochibi's huggable."
This is what the Prince of Tennis has become? Ryoma thought What would my dad say if he saw me like this? Ughhh I'd never live it down! Baka Oyaji.
They were all startled out of their own arguments as the referee announced the beginning of singles 2.
"Ne, you're the one that taught Yuuta-kun that shot right?" Fuji asked his eyes now wide open for the audience to view the magnificent blue behind the lids and to shudder in fear at what that sight meant. However, most were breathing a sigh of relief that that gaze was not directed at them but at the manager of St. Rudolph, Mizuki Hajime.
"Yeah, so what."
"Thank you for telling me."
And after that it was a slaughter. Mizuki barely even scored a point little lone getting even close to winning a game. All the while those chilling blue eye's pierced into his very soul and scared himto his own grave.
Afterwords both teams lined up on the courts facing each other with looks of fear, anguish, content, and recognition.
"Winner Seigaku." announced the referee. "Bow." He instructed and both teams bowed to each other with a quick 'good game' exchanged.
"Ochibi let's go to Kwaramura's now!"
"Yadda."
"Why?"
"Yadda."
"OCHIBI!"
"Yadda."
"Do you not know how to say anything else Echizen?" Fuji asked making Eiji jump about 10 feet and hide behind his beloved 'Ochibi'.
"Nya Fuji, don't do that."
"Don't do what?" Smiled the sadistic tensai.
"Sneak up on people like that, it's not nice! Oishi tell Fuji to stop being mean!" Eiji yelled noticing his partner walking towards them with Tezuka.
They had all split up after the match with St. Rudolph Echizen had gone to to get his favorite ponta and was followed by Eiji and Momo who claimed that they were being bodyguards for the young prince. However Ryoma knew there was no reason he needed bodyguards and they only went with him so they could watch him and make sure he didn't run off and escape going out with them to celebrate afterwords.
Fuji had gone off to stalk his precious little brother, talk about a brother complex.
Kaido had walked away hissing, after getting into another argument with Momo.
Inui had mumbled something about data, pulled out his notebook, started scribbling in it, and walked away towards who knows where to collect data on who knows what.
Kawamura had gone ahead of the rest of the team to the sushi restaurant to start preparing he food before his teammates got there. Knowing that if he didn't there wouldn't be enough food to satisfy the group.
While Oishi and Tezuka had gone off with Ryuzaki-sensei to discuss the next match and the results of this one.
"What did Fuji do?" Oishi asked.
"He scared Ochibi and me, ne Ochibi?"
Ryoma didn't respond in favor of grabbing his beautiful grape flavored ponta from the vending machine and drinking it.
"Ochibi." Eiji whined yet again.
"He didn't scare me." Ryoma said his face impassive as usual.
"Saa, does anything scare you Ryoma?" Fuji asked.
Ryoma just shrugged before starting to walk away which was halted by the feel of metal, once again, wrapping around his wrist.
"You better have the key this time sempai." Ryoma said without turning around already knowing that Fuji was the cause of this some way or another.
"Saa, I wonder."
Ryoma turned around to glare at the tensai, but then noticed that the other side of the handcuff was locked around Fuji's wrist.
Great now there really is no escape. Thought Ryoma with a sigh.
Honestly, he was getting way too used to being locked or tied up in some way.
"Ne, what's up with you and bondage sempai?"
"I don't know Ryo-chan, what do you think?"
"I think you're a pervert, sempai." Ryoma said, then as an after thought. "And don't call me Ryo-chan I'm not a girl."
"But you're cute Ryo-chan. Like Yuuta-kun."
Oh great he compared me to his brother. I feel bad for Yuuta. If this is what he put up with at home I don't blame him for leaving. Ryoma thought glaring at Fuji.
"Nya! Go Fuji! You got him! Now let's go." Eiji yelled grabbing Oishi and Momo, who had started arguing with Kaido, who had resurfaced sometime during the argument between Fuji and Ryoma, if it could be called that, and running away towards Kawamura sushi. Meanwhile Kaido was running behind them trying to keep up the fight between himself and Momo so he didn't loose.
"Hmm li data." Inui says as he appears behind Tezuka, Ryoma, and Fuji, before walking away with his nose still stuck in his notebook following the others to the restaurant. Looking up every once in a while to observe what was going on before continuing to scribble away in his notebook.
Tezuka pinched the bridge of his nose and with a sigh continued after the rest of the team leaving Ryoma and Fuji, who had been busy arguing and drinking ponta, to catch up.
"Saa, should we follow them too Ryoma?" Fuji asked looking up and noticing the rest of the team had already left.
"Yadda." Ryoma says.
"So you want to stay here."
"Yadda."
"Then where do you want to go?"
"Home."
"Okay." Fuji says and starts walking in the opposite direction as everyone else had gone.
"Yadda!" Ryoma yells.
"What?"
"I don't want you to come. And how do you know where I live?"
"Ryo-chan you're so cute." Says Fuji before he continues walking. "Besides what teammate would I be if I didn't say hi to my kouhai's parents."
At this Ryoma stops dead in his tracks and turns as pale as a ghost. Of course his teammate would want to meet his family. This was the problem with making friends. They would want to meet his family, then when they found out all he had was Nanako, they would ask why, and it would just bring up bad memories for him and possible expose that he was the Prince of Tennis.
"You don't have to meet them sempai."
"But I want to Ryo-chan, It's the least a sempai should do. After all I'm sure they would want to meet the people who cause you to be out all the time especially since you return home late too." Fuji said knowing that Ryoma was trying to convince him out of going to his house and wanting to know why. And what Fuji wanted Fuji got.
Seeing Ryoma look down Fuji asked, "What's wrong Ryo-chan?"
Knowing that it was no use arguing with the tensai once he had his mind set on something, Ryoma looked up with a sigh, mumbles something incoherent, and continues to let Fuji guide him towards his house.
So next week is finals week at my school and the last week of school so I will definitely post more after that. Hope this satisfies until then. Sorry this was all I had time for I promise the next chapter will be longer!
