"What are you doing today Bae?"

Baelfire turned around, a little surprised. He wasn't used to being spoken to so softly. All the boys in the island viewed him as a rag-doll. Peter never even looked at him. Felix seemed indifferent but Crys, she cared for him.

It has been a year since he had come to the island. He got along well with some of the younger boys. The older ones just bullied him, but somewhere deep inside- they viewed him as one of their own lot. He was a lost boy now, and he sure as hell knew it.

For some reason that he did not understand, Hook had become very friendly with him. He would invite the boy to his ship and teach him pirate tricks. Bae liked it too. He could steer the Jolly Roger better than half the people on the ship. He could study the stars better than Hook himself.

Peter didn't approve of this, but for some reason that Bae couldn't understand, Crys seemed to be secretly happy.

The relationship between Pan and Crys had deteriorated. Pan had become silent- he would seldom talk to anyone and would stay locked into his tree-house for hours. The only person he seemed to be with was Rufio.

"Where's the boy?"

Pan stormed into the camp, furious. The camp was full of all the boys except Felix, who had gone to mermaid cove for some work.

Crystal stood up and spoke calmly, "He is not an infant Peter. He can be wherever he want. He's probably with the Captain."

Something flickered in Pan's eyes and he walked over to her and in the blink of an eye, grabbed her arm and pulled her up, roughly.

"I think I made it pretty clear to you that he is not supposed to be out of anyone's sight," Pan hissed through his teeth as she squirmed,"Your highness"

The boys looked at Pan with utmost horror in their eyes. He had never done this before, not to Crystal. Bae, who had just come back from the beach, stood frozen behind the giant Oak tree.

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

Pan tilted his head to the side. He clearly didn't like her tone. He let go of her arm and guided his hand downward. Before she could react, Crystal was pushed down to her was a blade in Pan's hand, as he looked at her with fire in his eyes.

"For the first and last time, let me make this very clear to you, that I DO NOT admire that tone."

Out of sheer frustration. he kicked her face, hard. She didn't react when she cut her lip, but everyone around her froze. He knelled down in front of her, and ran the tip of the blade down her face. She didn't react this time too. She didn't want to give him the pleasure of knowing how much pain she was in.

Tootles sobbed and buried his face in Slightly's cloak. Half the boys looked away, and Bae looked away and ran.

"Don't mistake me for a fool, Crystal Johnson. I know what you are up to before you even know it yourself."

No one understood what he meant, but Crystal's heart turned cold at these words.

"I have to talk to you laddie."

Hook sat down next to Baelfire. The boy had told him what Pan had done, and Killian knew it was the time to at fast.

"Remember how I taught you to read the stars?"

He nodded shyly.

"Well...It's the time to use it."

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!"

Pan screamed as he stared at Rufio and Felix with a look of utmost horror on his face.

"He's gone, Pan. We went to look for him but he was nowhere to be found," Rufio whispered.

Pan looked around as though in a daze. Felix looked at him and said it with a sense of finality-

"Baelfire has run away has run away from Neverland."

The brunette sat down on the rock, running his hand through his just couldn't believe it. For the first time in his life, he had failed.

Peter Pan had failed.

Somewhere, behind a couple of trees, Crystal smiled softly and thanked Captain Killian Jones.
