The week went by so fast I couldn't believe it was Thursday night already. Jack and I hadn't had a chance to be alone since that night on the roof, which neither of us had discussed. I had spent Tuesday doing more target practise with Hiccup I was able to hit the weak points about eight out of ten times now, not perfect but it'll have to do. Wednesday was then spent doing more hand to hand combat and so was Thursday morning. There had been no new leads into Pascal and Astrid's disappearance but North promised they were doing all they could.
"Now here is where we get movie style vampire hunter". Merida said one night as we got ready to parole, my first and only felid experience before the blood moon.
"What do you mean? " I asked more confused.
"Black, black and more black blonde, now get changed". She replied before throwing the pile of black clothing at me.
It was about ten O'clock when I was ready. I was wearing a black short sleeved top with black skinny (but comfortable) jeans and black boots that almost reached up to my knees and I had my hair tied into a high pony tail. I'm not usually a vain person but I had to admit when I looked in the mirror...I looked hot. I walked into the kitchen when I was done, I saw Merida was wearing the same thing as me but her hair was in a braid and it had thin whips of hair escaping. Hiccup was wearing black army style trouser and a long sleeved shirt. Jack wore the same kind of trouser but with a black hoddie.
"See you even look the part now". Hiccup said when he saw me.
"You look great all you need is one small finishing touch". Merida said as she handed me a pair of fingerless gloves.
"They look hot and they help you keep a good grip on your weapon, here you go by the way". She said as she handed me the gun I had been practicing with.
"Thanks". Was all I could say at this point.
"So where are we going tonight?" I asked when I climbed in the back of their van.
"Some vampires have recently settled into an abandoned hotel near the edge of the city. We like to call them hives, anyway when vampires get settled they eventually start hunting and the area around where the hotel is has a lot of people living there and most of them are families". Hiccup said as he stared up the engine.
"So we have to drive them out before they get too comfortable". Jack concluded.
We drove in silence for about half an hour before Hiccup pulled over. The streets were quite except for the occasional drunken person wandering around. We grabbed what we needed and went to the hotel.
"Bats Hotel". I read out loud when we arrived at the frost entrance.
"You can't say they don't have a sense of humour can you lass?". Merida said.
We walked round to the back door and weren't surprised to find it was open. We walked into the hotel and turned on our flash lights. The place had been abandoned for years; everything was either covered in cobwebs or a thick layer of dust. But what scared me the most was that some of the furniture had hand prints in the dust, showing people had been here recently. Or at least living people. After a while we found ourselves in what looked like a ball room. Without warning the lights came on and you could see the whole room. The crystal chandeliers covered the floor with specks of light and half of the table and chairs had been turned over. Flowers and pieces of porcelain covered the floor and the fait smell of blood filled the air. I looked up and what I saw nearly caused me to scream. There up of the roof was about a dozen vampires. They were all cackling with laughter as they jumped down and formed a circle around us.
