Chapter 13
"We're dead man dead"!
Manami was pacing in the living room while Hotaru, Kasumi, and Tsuyoshi were sitting down it was the next day in the afternoon and Darka decided to go out to find new people to duel leaving them to talk." We're so dead man"! Manami yelled.
"Manami calm down! We knew this was going to happen her powers are growing which means she is one", Hotaru said.
"But once he finds out she'll be mad at us for not telling her, might brake out, and try to kill us"! Manami said.
"Even so we'll explain to her the reason and she'll understand", Kasumi said.
"And if she doesn't we're dead", Manami said whimpering.
"Enough of the dead thing honestly Darka will understand don't worry", Tsuyoshi said.
"Now in the mean time we will still keep this a secret until she has fully shown the signs so until then not a word", Kasumi said.
"Right", Hotaru and Manami said.
"Now come on Hotaru we better get going", Tsuyoshi said getting up.
"Where are you off too"? Kasumi asked.
"Dad was able to persuade his boss in letting me working as a scientist at the Heartland Amusment Park I just need to pass the interview and I get the job", Hotaru said.
"Oh well good luck sis", Manami said.
"Thanks I'll be needing it", Hotaru said.
"And that makes 10 wins".
Darka and Astrana were walking down the road having beaten another duelist that had a number card."Hmm maybe we should discuss of the amount of number cards left to collect with Yuma and brother", Astrana said.
"Good idea I've wondered on how many more numbers we needed to collect lets head over to his place see if he's home", Darka said.
Astrana nodded and they walked off to the Tsukumo home once the reached the door Darka then had an uneasy feeling she knocked and then opened the door feeling a chill."Something isnt right here", Darka said.
"Indeed its like as if there is a presence here that I do not like", Astrana said.
Darka walked upstairs to the door to Yuma's room and gave it a light knock."Hey Yuma you in there its me Darka", she called out.
There was no answer and Darka then had a chill run through her spine as she opened the door and went in she walked around the empty room then she saw the desk and grew wide eyed to see the Emperor's Key."Ok now I'm scared Yuma never leaves without the Emperor's Key ever", Darka said worried now.
She took a hold of the key and gasp at the cold metal."Its not suppose to be cold either right", she said to Astrana.
"Right something is indeed wrong", Astrana said.
"What should we do"? Darka asked.
"We have to go in the Emperors key", Astrana said.
Darka looked at her shocked."Is that even possible"? she asked.
"Yes with my powers and I bet brother's as well we can take you and Yuma inside the keys", Astrana explained.
"Seriously?! How come you never tried it before"? Darka asked shocked.
"Im still new to my powers and I still needed practice", Astrana said.
"Do you think you can do it"? Darka asked.
"Yes I think so I just need you to hold my hand and close your eyes", Astrana instructed.
Darka nodded she put her hand over Astrana's like as i she was holding her hand she then closed her eyes feeling light she then opened her eyes and gasp in shocked looking around."Holy Stardust this is incredible", she said.
"Yes now come we should look for Yuma and Astral", Astrana said.
Darka looked around and grew wide eyed."Well if I wanted to take a guess. How about we look at the gold space ship over there", she suggested.
"Yes lets go", Astrana said.
She floated up and Darka jumped and to her surprised she was floating as well they then landed on the key Darka lost her balance and about to fall."Hold on", Astrana said.
She then grabbed Darka's hand Darka gasp as she stood up. "Hmm it seems that once we're inside the key we can touch each other", Astrana said.
"Yeah I guess your right", Darka nodded.
"Ugh".
They gasp hearing the groan and looked."It came from over there come on", Astrana said.
They rushed off following the noise when they then turned they gasp in horror to see Yuma and Astral wounded and black sludge covering them.
"Yuma"!
"Brother"!
They rushed to them Darka to Yuma and Astrana to Astral Darka lightly touched Yuma's face he then groaned and opened his eyes blinking as Astral opened his eyes as well. "Darka, Astrana"? Yuma asked.
"Yeah its us Yuma dont worry", Darka assured.
"Brother who did this to you"? Astrana asked Astral angrily.
Darka looked at Astrana and was shocked to see the blazing anger in her eyes as Yuma struggled in the sludge. "Ok hold still we'll get you guys out of this sludge in no time", Darka said.
"No you both have to get away now", Astral said weakly.
"He's right you have to leave before he gets here", Yuma said.
"He? He who"? Darka asked.
"They mean me".
Darka and Astrana turned and gasp in shock to see a look alike of Astral but was colored black with a black eye instead of a white one like Astral Darka felt that cold chill down her spin again."Who are you"? she asked.
The being smirked. "I am Number 92: Blackmist", he said.
"Number 92? Wait a number card"?! Darka said shocked.
"Correct oh young Darkalicia", Blackmist smirked.
"You know who I am"? Darka asked.
"Of course I've been watching you and Astrana there from inside the key for quite some time now", Blackmist said.
"We're you the one that did this to Yuma and Brother"?! Astrana asked angered.
"Well of course they do deserve it for sealing me up after all", Blackmist said.
"You fiend"! Astrana growled.
"Why thank you dear Astrana I'm honored for the title now move aside so I may finish off Astral and the human", Blackmist said.
"If you want them you'll have to go through us", Darka said.
"Heh I didnt want to do this but you leave me no choice".
Then tentacles wrapped around the girls they gasp as they were flung off the ship with great force Darka coughed a bit of blood and got up gasping in breath she turned to see Astrana staggering as Blackmist floated down to them. "Look Astrana can you summon Rose Enchantresshere"? Darka asked.
"No since this is the Emperors Key I can't summon any of our numbers only Astral can summon his numbers here", Astrana said.
"Great we're dead", Darka growled.
Blackmist chuckled at them both. "Looks like your both out of options", he said.
Darka and Astrana ran off in great haste but unfortunately for them Blackmist caught up with them he then grabbed a hold of Astrana wrapping her tightly with his tentacles. "Ahhhh"! Astrana yelled in pain.
"Astrana! Let her go"! Darka yelled.
Blackmist looked at her he then dropped Astrana on the floor and floated to her."Alright I'll get rid of you first", he smirked.
Then his tentacles turn sharp and about to strike Darka gasp and shielded herself from the attack.
"Flame Wall"!
Darka gasp as a flaming wall appeared and protected her from the attack as Blackmist yelled in anger.
"Phew we made it just in time".
"That was too close even for me".
Darka was shocked to see her sisters floating down next to Darka she looked at them shocked." How in the name of Crimson Dragon"-
"Look no time for explainations Darka, Manami go see if Astrana is alright", Hotaru said.
"Got it", Manami nodded.
"Wait you know about Astrana"? Darka asked.
"Who the hell are you two"?! Blackmist growled angered.
Hotaru and Manami looked at him they smiled as they then glowed Darka gasp and covered her eyes when the light died down she looked and grew wide eyed in shock for there instead of her sisters were two different beings one being an Astral being she was bright red-orange with pale gold flame markings on her body, bright pale red gems, she had long glistening ginger hair, molten orange eyes, and wearing light warrior armor. Next to her a being Darka cannot recongized she was light blue with small gray stones on her body her eyes were sea green and her hair was of sea blue and she was wearing a light gray and blue kimono like shirt, white pants, and matching white boots. "You ask us who we are so we shall tell you", the being said.
"I am Hotaru 'Firefly' Shinori Astral being and wielder of fire", the astral being said.
"And I am Manami 'Ocean' Shinori Barian and wielder of water", the other being said.
Darka was shocked beyond words as she looked at the beings claiming to be her sisters Blackmist growled. "Well now I dont care I shall just finish you both"! he yelled.
He launched his tentacles at them and they jumped away. "Flaming scythe", Hotaru said.
Appearing before her hand was a bright gold scythe with flame patterns on the blade she then floated in high speed and slashed Blackmist on his back the evil number yelled in pain. "You bitch Im going to ki"-!
"Aquatic spear"!
Appearing in Manami's hand was a light blue spear with three silver blades with sea patterns on it she then ran and stabbed Blackmist on his chest he coughed as Hotaru placed her hand on his back.
"Fire seal".
And flames wrapped around Blackmist as he screamed in agony as the flames wrapped around him in a small clear gold sphere inside now was a card Hotaru sighed in relieve. "Sealed him up", she said.
"We better give it back to Astral now", Manami said.
"Wait"!
The two turned to see Darka and Astrana looking at them shocked. "What in the hell is going on here?! I want answers"! Darka growled in anger.
The beings looked at them as Hotaru sighed. "Well explain Darka but first we have to get Yuma and Astral out of here and patch them up since I can tell their wounded right"? she asked.
Darka twitched and nodded they then floated back to the ship using her scythe Hotaru slashed away the sludge and freed Yuma and Astral and got a hold on them both. "We'll leave ahead Astrana you help Darka leave the key", Hotaru said.
Astrana nodded as she took Darka's hand. "Like before Darka", she said.
Darka nodded and closed her eyes feeling light again she opened her eyes to be back in Yuma's room she looked to see Hotaru placing Yuma and Astral on Yuma's bed her hands then glowed and then gave off a soft light. "What is she doing"? Darka asked.
"She's healing them with her powers don't worry they'll be fine", Manami said.
Hotaru then stopped glowing and and both Yuma and Astral groaned and woken up. "Brother"! Astrana said.
She floated and tightly hugged Astral shaking Astral smiled softly and hugged Astrana back lightly rubbing her back to sooth her as Darka sat next to Yuma. "You feel ok" she asked.
"Yeah Im fine thanks. So can I ask why is there a barian and another astral being in my room"? he asked.
"Their Hotaru and Manami", Darka sighed.
"What"?! Yuma and Astral said shocked.
"yes that is correct and here Astral, Blackmist", Hotaru said giving Astral the sphere.
Astral still shocked took the sphere and absorbed it then Darka sat down and glared at them. "Ok I want answers. How are you two an astral being and barian I want to know the truth", she said.
Hotaru and manami looked at each other then Hotaru sighed and nodded. "Yeah its about time you learned the truth", she said.
She then nodded at Manami as she began speaking. "You see Darka me, you, Manami, mother, uncle, and our grandparents are not human as you can see we are a mixture of astral beings and barians".
"A mixture"? Darka questioned.
"Yeah it started with our grandparents they are a astral being and barian who met and fell in love but because of the hatred their kinds have torwards each other they decided to run away and come here to earth to be together then mom and uncle were born mom being an Astral being and uncle Akihiro being a barian from their parents sides".
"But what about us and father"? Darka questioned.
"Im getting there now you see dad is really a human but knows that mom and the others of what they are and still chose to stay with mom then we were born me being a Astral being and Manami being a barian. The real reason Manami was sent to live with uncle all these years was because uncle needed to train her to use her powers not because she was sick".
"But how did you guys knew what you were"? Astrana asked.
"When me and Hotaru were born we were already in our forms to begin with the whole reason we didnt tell Darka any of this was because when she was born she was born as a human so we thought Darka were a human", Manami said.
Darka looked at them shocked as Hotaru sighed."See this is the reason we didnt tell you any of this Darka since you were born as a human we thought that it would be better letting you believe you were while living a regular normal life but I guess now thats impossible with the numbers, Astral, and Astrana", she said.
"Wait you knew"?! Darka yelled.
"We keep over hearing you conversations", Manami said nervous.
They then gasp as Darka was now growling standing up and dark aura surrounding her. "All this time you kept this secret from me never telling me the truth".
The dark aura surge around her growing bigger and looking powerful as they all stood back.
"YOU IDIOTS"!
Then the dark aura surge around Darka they all gasped in shock the dark aura swirled around her then the aura disappeared and they gasped standing before them was a being unrecognizable to them it was pale gray with the structure of a Barian yet it had light gray swirling markings and small white gems of an Astral being she wore a priestess hakama of red and white her hair a starling silver she then opened her eyes to show crimson-amber.
"Holy Crimson and Stardust"! Hotaru yelled.
The being blinked and looked at them then she looked at her hands and gasp in shock. "Wh- What am I"? she questioned.
"A hybrid".
She looked to face Manami who was shocked. "Uncle told me about this its really rare but your actually a Astral being and Barian hybrid Darka", she said.
Darka looked at Manami shocked and looked at herself. "Is that even possible though Manami"? Hotaru asked.
"Uncle said that the reason Darka wasnt in a form when she was born was because her bloods were still fighting in her to have a form this must have been the compromise", Manami said.
"And with that dark power around her it clear that she is the wielder of darkness", Hotaru said.
"Wielder of darkness", Darka whispered.
"We better tell this to mom, dad, and uncle", Manami said.
"Yeah and Darka will be needing the training as well so we'll be doing so", Hotaru said.
"What"?! Manami yelled shock.
"We do have the abilities to train her we might as well Manami", Hotaru said seriously.
Darka was silent until she sighed. "Yuma dont tell this to the others until I say so ok", she said.
"Right", Yuma nodded.
Darka then faced her sisters smiling.
"When do we begin"?
Aurasoul: And its done.
Darka: Im a hybrid?!
Aurasoul: Thats right so get use to it. Next time Darka will be training with Manami and Hotaru with her powers as they tell her how they knew of her being in danger.
