Chapter 13 Ichigo face your nemesis
"You bastard! Who the hell are you in anyway!?" Ichigo questioned glaring at his clone.
"Who am I? Well you could say I am darkness. In particular your darkness. So hmmm let's see…. I know how about you just call me Kuroyami." The white figure said still staring at Ichigo's most precious one.
"Whatever it doesn't matter to me what you are or who you are called, I'm going to kick your ass and send you packing!" Ichigo said getting in a stance with both of his blades.
"Here I come Kurosaki!" the doppelganger said charging straight towards Ichigo discarding his sword.
"He's fast!"
Before Ichigo could see it coming, Kuroyami transformed parts of his body into a deadly weapon. Ichigo just barely blocked Kuroyami's arms which had been transformed into blades. However, even thought Ichigo managed to block the attack, he still received some damage his arms being cut by Kuroyami's malicious sharpened arms.
Next he dashed to the right and struck Ichigo again. Ichigo this time summoned what was left of his full bring power and armoured his arms the moment the attack made contact. But this time, Kuroyami changed his body again this time making his leg into a ferocious weapon. Ichigo went down on his knee's as a result of the sudden slice to his shin.
Ichigo grew angrier making himself more focused on the opponent in front of him. Orihime performed her ability reversing the damage the hollow creature did it to him before. Ichigo once again saw yami move so he dashed in front and blocked his attack again. "Oi! I can see what you're up to you worthless scum! You're targeting Orihime! Well I won't let you hurt her you bastard!"
Ichigo said pushing Yami away from her.
Ichigo charged Yami with both of his swords now drawn for combat. Ichigo slashed both swords vertically towards him causing Yami to guard his side with both of his shape shifted sword arms. Kuroyami was hit by Ichigo's strike to its full extent causing him to fly backwards. "You're mine!" Ichigo yelled in hot pursuit. Ichigo charged his opponent aiming to strike him with another powerful slash however, when Ichigo got close enough, he vanished. Ichigo stopped in his tracks searching his surroundings for the pale swordsman. "You lose me already Kurosaki? Look above you!" The voice said causing Ichigo to reflexively look up. Ichigo's shot open instantly and his rage began to boil over.
"Let's play a game Kurosaki."
"You bastard! Let Orihime go right now! Your fight is with me!" Ichigo said unable to control his fury.
"I said we're going to play a game Kurosaki! We're going to play hide and seek. For every hour it takes for you to find me, one of your precious friends limbs will be sliced off by yours truly!" Kuroyami said making Ichigo get very angry.
Ichigo shook his fists in a blinding rage as Kuroyami laughed maniacally as he began to retreat from the scene.
"Let her go!" Ichigo yelled being quickly interrupted by another swordsman.
"You're not getting away from me Ichigo Kurosaki!" Aizen said hitting Ichigo back down to the ground.
Ichigo tried to attack but Aizen disappeared through a rip in the dimension.
"He's fast!" Ichigo said being struck from behind by Aizen only to miss him when he retreated through the purple portal.
"This is my new power Kurosaki and with it, you won't be able to see where I am coming from next!" Aizen said slicing Ichigo again.
"Ichigo! Please help me!" Orihime screamed bringing Ichigo back to his senses.
"Orihime, she's calling for me. I have to help her. I'm going to help her. I'm going to save her!" Ichigo thought to himself as Aizen reappeared.
"Kurosaki!" Aizen shouted trying to deal the final blow. To Aizen's surprise, Ichigo was lightning quick blocking his attack.
Aizen grunted trying to prove himself superior.
"Out of my way" Ichigo said under his breath as he blocked Aizen's sword with his black katana.
"OUT OF MY WAY!" Ichigo said hitting a direct strike on Aizen with his hidden second blade. Aizen flew across the battlefield landing on his feet and he made preparations to rush back there. However, Aizen found his feet and lower body completely frozen.
"Ichigo is not your opponent this time Aizen" Toshiro said
Aizen checking his surroundings seeing cherry blossom's scattered around him.
"Senbonzakura kageyoshi. You won't escape us you scum. You will pay the price for committing treason against the head captain and the soul society." Byakuya said engaging in a clash between swords.
"Hey you bastard stop! Let her go!" Ichigo yelled jumping from rooftops to close the distance.
"You're persistent, but the game won't be fun if you intervene so early, just think of how pretty your girl will look with half her limbs gone." Kuroyami said cutting down a nearby tall building.
Ichigo used his Getsuga Tensho to break the falling debris into smaller rubble using this opportunity to leap from each fragment at incredible speed. Ichigo used his flash step to progress along his self made bridge reaching his target. "I said don't touch her!" Ichigo said as he smashed his spirit energy infused fist into Kuroyami's face causing him to let go of Orihime's hair.
Ichigo dropped with her closing his arms in so he could catch her and leap to the building next to him running down its exterior to get rid of the risk of Orihime getting hurt any further. Ichigo reached the buildings entrance carefully landing onto the ground his princess still in his grip.
"Orihime stay here behind your shield and call out Tsubaki. You'll be safe here and I have a job to finish." Ichigo said planting a kiss on her forehead.
"Okay but please be careful Ichigo I know you can do it!" Orihime said tiptoeing up to him and landing a kiss on his lips.
"I'll be right back my princess." Ichigo said as he drew both of his blades once again.
"Hey get down here! It's time we finish this once and for all Kuroyami!"
"Very well it's time I prove to you who truly deserves to be called the fake and the weaker swordsman!" Kuroyami stated landing back on the ground.
Kuroyami returned his arms back to normal and began to summon his own power to the surface. Kuroyami yelled as his aura began to grow larger forcing through the ground his blade of judgement.
"Here is my very own Zanpakto Handan jikan! And I'll leave its power a secret for now! Now let's continue Kurosaki! Our fight until the last drop of blood runs through one of our bodies" Kuroyami held his blade over his shoulder showing clearly its distinct features. This Zanpakto was like no other both sides of the blade were jagged and projected a sinister and dark aura.
"That's fine with me! I'm going to show you what happens to those who try hurt those I love!" Ichigo said not waiting for a written invitation. Ichigo and Kuroyami resumed their death battle exchanging blow for blow sword against sword. Kuroyami ducked on instinct dodging Ichigo's sword slash as a result getting through his defences and gaining an advantage in this conflict as he managed to deal the first blow in this battle. The blood trailed down Ichigo's chest from the wound he just suffered.
"Ichigo!" Orihime screamed noticing Ichigo was hurt.
"Don't worry Orihime I'm fine. This much is nothing" Ichigo said after jumping backwards from Kuroyami.
"Are you sure about that Kurosaki? Just look at that trail of blood you left behind." The pale fighter said pointing at the few drops of blood in front of Ichigo.
"What are you talking about?" Ichigo said interrupted by the scarlet spikes which shot upwards towards him. Ichigo if he wasn't looking towards the floor would have been skewered by the projectiles made of blood.
"Geez what the hell was that!?" Ichigo said whilst he took several steps back.
"It's one of my Zanpakto's special abilities blood needle. All of the blood that you let drop onto the ground, will be reborn as a sharp blade. Just you try to dodge me!" The pale swordsman said pulling out his sword again. Ichigo was incredibly shocked with what Kuroyami did next. The swordsman used the jagged edge of his blade to cut across his arm and let a minor lake of blood trail down from the entrance wound. Next he sliced with his arm in a knife hand motion scattering several droplets of blood.
"What the hell?!" Ichigo said as the blood droplets immediately changed into deadly projectiles.
"Ichigo look out!" Orihime screamed seeing the predicament Ichigo was currently in.
"You'll have to do a lot better than that if you want to defeat me!" Ichigo yelled immediately preparing his blades for his dual blade combo's.
Ichigo moved his blades as if they were part of his body instead of separate entities. His swords moved as quick as lightning making perfect slashes towards the dangerous blood as if they were moving in slow motion. "I've had enough of this! Getsuga Tensho!" Ichigo fired two Getsuga waves one towards the ground as he leaped into the air and another one straight towards Kuroyami.
Kuroyami used his Zanpakto to repel the Getsuga Tensho slash attack upwards to the sky. However, while he was trying to fend off Ichigo's first attack, he wasn't able to defend against Ichigo's second attack as he snuck up on him using his first Getsuga Tensho as a smokescreen so he could sneak up on him. Kuroyami flew after Ichigo sent him flying with his attack to his back.
Ichigo started panting as he took on the toll of his powerful onslaught feeling a huge sensation of pain as he felt blood leaving his body. Orihime screamed seeing Ichigo's wound.
Ichigo turned to his left to see his white Tensa Zangetsu on the floor slowly breaking into spiritual particles as it disappeared from the puddle of blood. Ichigo yelled out when he realised that one of his limbs was missing. The next moment because Ichigo was experiencing a shocking pain, he was now overcome by another pain this time in his stomach as he felt the spike's made of blood stab through his abdomen. "Ichigo! Hold on I'm coming to help!" Orihime said in the next moment falling to her knee's as she felt the blow to her gut. Orihime felt the ice cold texture of the blade against her chin as it forced her to look up.
"Sorry princess, but to destroy Ichigo, I have to kill you first!" Kuroyami said raising his sword ready to strike her down.
Orihime closed her eyes begging for Ichigo to save her in her mind. Kuroyami's blade had a sinister crimson aura as it struck down towards her. A huge cloud of smoke appeared as the blade made contact with something very hard. Kuroyami stared aggressively at the soul reaper who prevented him from taking the life of his prey. "I told you, while I'm still breathing, I will never let you kill Orihime! I don't care if you cut off all my limbs. As long as I'm still breathing, I will find a way to defeat you!" Ichigo said using what little kido he had to stop the bleeding in what was left of his left arm. "This fight is far from over Kuroyami! Now allow me to show you, what happens to those who try to take away what is important to me! I will make you pay 100 times over for what you did to the girl I love!" Ichigo said delivering a power left roundhouse kick sending him away from his wounded girlfriend.
"Ichigo let me heal you! Hold still!" Orihime said.
"That's okay Orihime save your strength, but I'll be counting on you when things get really rough." Ichigo said kissing her hand.
"But Ichigo your arm!"
"I've got it don't worry" Ichigo said a emerald aura surrounding his left upper arm materialising his full bring power to makeshift an armoured replacement limb.
"This arm should last me at least an hour before it disappears. Kuroyami! This fight is not over yet!" Ichigo said charging towards him again.
