Important note, I'm changing Calebs name to Masanori. The more I wrote him the less I felt like Caleb fit. That is all. And Crow I'm gonna be a bit (probably quite a bit) later with Aya's appearance that originally planned. Just thought you should know.

Trick 13: Cold Meeting

Still trying to put things together I snap back to my senses as Kayla drops to a kneel beside James. Katsumi slowly stands and my body tries to step back, falling backwards surprised that my ATs were working again. "What did you do to him?" Kayla shouts. The passion in her voice pained me as she yells at my best friend in a mix of sorrow and fury. Greene stands cocking an arm back stopping as James hand meets her own.

"Relax. You don't want to fight her." James says, his voice a bit hoarse. Seth coughs back to life as well and I can tell they both want some kind of revenge. James was clearly putting Kayla first but I can't tell why hasn't tried to jump at her yet. Still glowering at Katsumi, the couple stands using each other for support.

"Solomon, grab Seth." Miyako says. She calmly walks before standing alongside me. I climb to my feet and wait for Solomon to pass. There's hesitation before Wildcard moves, probably trying gauge how risky it is to approach Katsumi. Eventually he walks into my line of sight and helps Seth to his feet, flinching only slightly as Katsumi turns to face me. Along with that a more human-sized version of that Shadow of hers.

The two of us stand opposite each other seeming more like enemies than long te friends. "Do you understand what The Court does?" Katsumi ask, coming of devoid of any emotion.

"I think you just made it pretty clear." I reply, trying to match her tone.

She grabs my collar and stick my arm out, stopping anyone who looked like they were ready to jump. "Don't do that?"

"What?"

"Don't try to make us out to be the bad guys!" She yells. "You think, I like using that trick!? I needed to learn it. To keep people safe alongside Terzei and The Court."

I lean to my right looking around her. "Well, they sure look safe to me. Good work."

Seth chuckles much to Katsumi's annoyance. "You don't get it yet?" He says. "They keep the peace by destroying violence. And their leader likes to make examples while the bitch is at it." Katsumi drops my shirt.

She takes a deep breath steps past Miyako and I. "Damian, I don't want you to fall like... Some other riders." The hesitation in her voice was obviously pained and continues in her voice as she went on. "I let so much go today and that's I wish I could forget everything about today. But I have responsibilities."

I turn to her, facing her back, with that now annoying emblem on the back off her track jacket. I wanted to ask what she was saying. To keep talking to her and maybe taunt her into doing something herself instead of the alternative. However, I couldn't say a word. I could tell by the pattern her shoulders were shaking that she was crying. This sucks. I think to myself, putting my hand over my face. "Fine. This was all set up by me so I guess I have to deal with the consequences myself." She wipes her eyes before turning to me.

"What are you doing?" James asks, coming of as skeptikal. "You weren't even he-"

"-Jeez it's boring out here. Come on officer, take me away." I yawn, joking putting my wrist out while hoping Pyrone hadn't outfitted her team with handcuffs.

Katsumi still seems a bit said but at least she stopped crying. "Alright Damian, follow me." She says, sounding a lot less angry as well. "We're going to meet her."

As Katsumi begins to lead I slowly drudge after her. Stopping briefly to turn to the team. "Yo, no matter what she says Knightmare's not disbanding, got it?" They all unsurely nod. "Good, make sure those two, get home alright." After that I turn back a continue following.

Due to Katsumi's rear wheels being nothing but shreds of rubber we had to walk most of the way. We didn't speak to each other and the only time I heard her voice was when she called Terzei for a meeting place. After that it was another ten or twenty minutes of awkward silence before we started passing into unfamiliar roads. There seemed to more Storm Riders around the closer we got to the meeting place, yet a lack of the wheel based wall carvings I'd become accustomed to. They all look so... happy? I come to a stop after nearly walking into Katsumi's back. "This is it, Damian. The heart of Revelations."

I only nod and as I try not to make eye contact with her I see the limo Terzei and Masanori had originally picked Tomo and I up in, parked outside of an ice cream parlor. I don't see this being a fun experience. "Damian, I don't want you to think…" Katsumi pauses, putting her hand to my chest, specifically over my heart and tattoo. "I don't want you to feel like I'm betraying you. It's not like whatever happened in America. I'm doing this for you."

"Yeah, yeah." I answer placing my hand on top of her electric blue hair. "Katsumi, I know you want order and everyone to join together, but I take care of myself chaotically."

"Damian, you can't do everything by yourself. Instead of putting faith in people you're acting just like the Ice Queen, and treating people like nothing."

"Oh, maybe I should meet her-"

Katsumi tightens her hand, now gripping my shirt. "Don't." That's all she says. I feel a bit of a cold chill run up my spine. "After today I won't be around for about a week. I was going to tell you earlier but a lot happened. I'm going to be training with some of my teammates. I just-"

"You just want me to behave while you're gone? Fine." I reply, moving my hand from atop her head to her wrist. She looks reasonably skeptical. "Fair enough. Just let me tell Terzei everything that happened and I promise not to start any fights."

She smiles weakly at my joke and nods before, walking me into the colorful shop. Inside there were a few young children and parents. Then the much out-of-place Terzei who stood second in line, after a little girl. I can't believe this is the person in charge. I think to myself before feeling a pair of eyes burning through the back of my head.

I turn and find The Court's green-eyed driver glaring at me. "Of course it's you." Masanori says in a tone empty of any emotion beside annoyed. "You haven't even been in Revelations a full twenty-four hours yet you already fucked up."

"Oh, is that a new record?" I taunt.

He ignores me and turns to Katsumi. "Excellent recommendation here, Kaneko. Very telling of your abilities." She lowers her head to Masanori, making me a bit angry. I can't believe she's apologizing, after what I saw she could probably rip this guy in a fight. I look down noticing this guy wasn't on any ATs, but seems to outrank Katsumi.

"Hey Katsumi, I'll take care of things here but don't you think you should get so repairs done before your trip?" I ask, implying to her hind wheels.

She seems to take the hint and bows to Masanori again, who only grunts in annoyance before Katsumi scurries away. It probably wouldn't help my case to fight this guy right now would it. "Come on, she's done." He says, nodding to Terzei, who is seated at a table with a small cup of cherry red shaved ice. The two of us walk past the children and parents and to her table. Myself being pushed into the corner seat as Masanori locks me in.

She stirs the ice with a small plastic spoon. "So, what happened?" Pyrone asks placing her dark eyes on me.

I try not to make eye contact with her since I don't know exactly how this is going to go. "Well this got a bit… Out of hand after our phone call."

"You were going to look out for James and Kayla." She says, restating the initial job. "Just tell me what happened, Damian. It's not like I'm going to hit you."

"I ended up, fighting them. And things went poorly." I answer, looking her in the eyes. I notice a twitch on her right brow before feeling her right fist slam into my cheek. Fuck! I had braced myself against the wall so it hadn't hurt too bad but it'd probably leave a mark. "You said you weren't gonna hit me." I remark, trying to keep my voice calm as I hold my jaw. No one had noticed and it's probably not the time cause a scene.

She tightens her fist on the table. "I thought I wasn't going to." Pyrone answers. "All you had to do is watch them. That's it. How did your team end up fighting them?"

"Not my team, just me." I answer. "To be honest they actually tried to stop me." Terzei looks me over and I make sure to keep eye contact, avoiding the scowl coming from my left. She appears to buy my lie and I continue. "I ended up flirting with the girl and... lets just say she ended up more annoyed than turned on. And then James showed up. Thing got a bit crazy and Katsumi broke it up and hear we are."

I hear Masanori snort beside me as Pyrone tries to scale how angry she should be. "...I told you they were dating." She answers.

I shrug earning an annoyed groan from Masanori. "I don't know if I've ever seen someone as dumb as you."

"You should invest in a mirror." I mumble, with my best innocent smile.

He straightens up and turns to his leader. "Red, please let me hit him."

She hushes as she continues to stir her italian ice. "So you fought the two of them? And your team had nothing to do with it?" Pyrone asks. She obviously knows I was lying but there's not much she can do about it. Unless she calls Katsumi. I think with distinct anger. Maybe it's good thing Katsumi's gonna be gone for a few days. Pushing the that chain of thought from my mind I nod as an answer to Pyrones question. "I see. And did anything else happen?"

I feel myself lean back a bit as I realize what she was really asking. Pyrone was asking about the chain swinging girl. The tone in her voice more concerned than angry though I can place why. I also can't guess why she's so clearly hiding it from her driver. As I wonder whether or not it'd be fun to force her into a conversation on it I recall my deal with the chain wielder herself. "Not a thing." I chirp with a shrug. She scowls through her red aviator shades and I could've sworn she was going to hit me again. Instead she grabs her spoon and takes some ice cream into her mouth.

After a pause she place the spoon back into the bowl. "As long as they're alright, we might be able to smooth things over with Kayla and James. However, it'll take a while to regain their trust again."

"Yeah, sorry about tha-"

"And you're on probation." She declare quickly yet casually.

"I'm sorry, what?" I ask just as fast, only half as casual.

"If you prefer you could challenge my team. But to be honest it'd probably be a short match." Terzei replies. I glare through her lenses for now longer than two seconds before leaning back. Not today. I sigh pushing my hair back, over my head. I can hear Masanori scoff. "Good. I'm serious, Knighty-boy, no ATing for at least a week. This is a matter of trust."

I can tell by her voice she see's this probation as a trial instead of a ruling. "Of course," I reply, with a poorly forged smile. "I trust you as much as you trust me." The two of us briefly attempt to stare the other down, and I look away making a realization. Why am I even trying to pick a fight right now? I had nothing against Terzei really, maybe Masanori but besides him there was no reason for me to be upset. I try to convince myself I didn't but I knew what it was. I'm jealous that Katsumi chose Terzei and her laws over me. "Can I at least ride home? As much as I'd like to enjoy some ice cream with you, I find three makes for a crowd." I say, gesturing light to Masanori. I was trying to joke myself back to normal before I could embarrass myself again. After a beat Terzei nods, dismissing me from our meeting.

Masanori slides out from the bench lifting me out and makes sure to shoulder into me before rejoining Terzei. He clearly wasn't trying to hide the fact that he was talking about me, but I decided to ignore it as I walked out of the parlor. Ignoring my urge to vandalize Masanori limo, I begin cruising towards my house, making sure to take a different street than the one Katsumi had left a crater in. I gotta ask her how to do that… later. Snapping me from my thoughts, a my phone begins to vibrate. Taking it out of my pocket I notice the screens a bit cracked. As I read Wildcard on the screen I wonder which fight that one from before answering. "Yo?"

"Good, you're still alive." Solomon answers. "I thought Redglare might've, I dunno, sharked you or something."

I chuckle beside myself, "She probably would've, I think she was distracted by the shaved ice. Anyway did everyone get home alight?"

"Yeah, we dropped James and Kayla off. Then we went to Seth's and me an Miyako split up there. And not that it matters now, but if you had told us who you were looking for in the first place I could've just taken you to their houses." He laughs a bit before going on. "I'm pretty sure they both in the same area I do."

"What the luxury area?" I ask, sounding a bit more amazed than I intended. Nothing they were wearing seemed to scream I'm rich, in case you couldn't tell.

"Mh-hm. They're both the children of some ambassadors. James is from Canada I think and Kayla's british, like me. They've probably been riding longer than me, but I never really talked to th-"

When I noticed my jaw had dropped, I quickly cut him off. "So this whole thing could've been avoided?"

I can practically hear Solomon shrug as he answers "Nah, they're both kinda into fighting so… Well they probably wouldn't hate us as much. That aside what happened with you, Jack?"

I can't help but smirk at the nickname though I wasn't really in the mood. "I tried to take the heat, but she definitely knows something's up. I'm under house arrest for now."

"That's it?"

"Yup, if she's the badass cop Seth says she is, she must really like me."

"I doubt it."

"Yeah, me t- Wait, why do you doubt it? Think I'm charming enough?" I joke.

"No, but a lot of the street is saying she's got a thing for a solo Storm Rider... of the female persuasion. But this is all just rumor and I sure don't wanna ask." He adds. "I'd hate to meet whoever that girl is though."

"Knowing Terzei she probably a judge or a cop." I answer combing my hand through my hair. I feel something odd, I pull my hand back, noticing some webbing. I groan to myself figuring it was probably from the Stewart's place. "Alright, I just got home and I really feel like takin' a shower. Make sure you guys stop by or I'll probably bore myself to death." We say our goodbyes and I hang up walking to my house turned prison.

Great chapter, right? (Don't know if I'm being sarcastic or not.) Thank you, thank you. I do what I can. But anyway next official chapter it's training time! And… for those of you who arrived too late for the original OC submissions I am taking a few extra characters from the Air Gear OC center forum. Except from you, Miss. Anymore characters from you and this would count as a co-write.
