Ally stepped into the loud hallways of Marino High for the first time in a week. A few teens stopped mid-conversation to stare at her; some in sympathy, others in fear. However, most of her peers paid her no mind and continued on with their carefree, daily lives. Ally couldn't help but stare at those people in slight envy. They don't have a gang out to kill them like she does. They aren't haunted by memories of people close to them who only end up betraying them in the end. Ever since yesterday, Ally has been paranoid and constantly looking over her shoulder, looking for another one of her friends to be there, holding a knife to her back. She doesn't even know if she can trust Trish and Dez anymore.

Stop it Ally, you're only hurting yourself by thinking like that. They're your friends. You can trust them.

"I'm not too sure about that anymore"

"Not too sure about what?"

Ally looked up startled, to find Cassidy standing in front of her, with her arms behind her back and an 'innocent' looking smile on her lips.

Ally shook her head, embarrassed, "Oh no, I'm just talking to myself, that's all."

Cassidy tilted her head to the side, "You look awful Dawson."

Ally gave herself a once over, at first confused, but now reconsidering her choice of baggy sweatpants and a loose-fitting shirt. "Oh, well I didn't want to wear anything that was too formfitting and would hurt my burns."

The dyed-blonde girl gave a short, fake giggle, "Oh no silly, I'm not talking about your clothes. I mean, you look tired, you should go back home."

"Oh! Well uh, thank you for your concern, but I'm fine. Really." She tried to walk away, but Cassidy side-stepped in front of her, "Please move, we're gonna be late for class." students were already filing into their classrooms, leaving only the two girls and a few late stragglers in the main hallway.

She ignored her and said, in a sickly sweet tone. "Wow, you must be stupid to not be able to understand me. I said to go home, and I don't mean back with the Moons. Go back to where you came from, to your burnt down, shell of a house where you can't hurt Austin anymore.

Ally gaped at her, horrified at first, but then grew angry. The tardy bell rang, but Ally didn't care anymore. "Excuse me?" she said, furious.

Cassidy smirked, "Don't deny it. Ever since you got Austin arrested, you've caused him nothing but trouble for him." She pushed Ally to the ground and stood over the brunette with her stiletto heel digging into her stomach. "First you testify against him. Then you get him hit by a car. Then the next day, he goes running into a burning building. All of this, trying to save YOU."

Ally shoved away Cassidy's foot and stood up slowly, "Get away from me you jealous bitch. Just because you can't ever get Austin to like you, doesn't mean you need to take it out on me." she pushed past the blonde but stopped to say, "He obviously has good taste by staying away from sluts like you." Ally walked back out of the school front doors and breathed in the early, Florida air.

Look's like I'm not ready for school yet.

She continued walking out of the school towards the park and let Cassidy's words sink in.

This is all my fault isn't it.

Ally continued walking until she got to the swing set and sat down on the flimsy, plastic seat. She pumped her legs and tried to get as high as possible. She swung up towards the sun and just wanted to keep on going until she could touch the clouds. Wishing more than anything that she could fly away from her pain and never look back. But as gravity would have it, she fell back to Earth and followed the swings path. Back and forth she went until the sun was set in high in the sky and her legs had grown weak from the activity. Ally stood up and awkwardly walked to the park bench to rest and buried her face in her hands.

Cassidy is right, I'm so stupid. It was my carelessness that inflicted so much pain on Austin. If I had just listened to him that night he beat up Dallas, then I wouldn't be feeling like this.

Ally felt tears well up in her eyes and quickly wiped them away, angry at herself for crying. How selfish of me. I'm sitting here, crying over myself while Austin has suffered the most out of all of this.

Then it happened, an idea came to mind. One so simply and effortlessly thought of that she wasn't sure it was her own. But it was a perfect plan, and would work out for the both of them.

She stood up and checked her phone for the time. Good, it's already 1:00, that means Austin is back and I can go see him first. But that thought made her choke up and she knew she couldn't stop herself if she saw him. The wounds, the casts, and most importantly, the love that always glints in his eyes when he sees her. She wouldn't be able to go through with her plan if she saw all that. But i'll be more sad if I don't at least visit him first. Besides, there's no way I could sneak in and get my things without either Mrs. Moon or Austin noticing.

She groaned, but willed herself to walk, slowly, but never the less walk, back to the Moon's house.

***^.^***

No turning back, just stick to the plan and you'll be fine.

Ally used the house key Mimi gave her to open the front door. She peeked into the kitchen and saw a pot on the stove with boiling water. To her right, the bathroom light was on and Ally figured it was just Mimi in there. With her opportunity, she quietly ran up the stairs and paused when she stood outside of his bedroom. The sound of Austin singing "Don't Look Down" filled her ears and she knew she couldn't go without seeing him. With shaky confidence, she knocked and let herself into his room. The first thing that got her attention though, was how clean the room was. Gone were all of the pizza boxes and dirty clothes, now there was a black and white checkered rug and a simple dresser and desk tucked away in the corners.

"Wow, I can actually see your floor." muttered Ally not-so-quietly, causing Austin to laugh from his bed. She looked up at him and smiled back, realizing how much better he looked. Besides the minor scares on his face and the bandages on his wrist, he looked almost completely healed. He got out of his bed and stood in front of her for a few, awkward seconds before just capturing her in a tight hug.

"I've missed you so much Ally-gator".

She smiled softly and hugged back, breathing in the intoxicating smell of his cologne. He smoothed down her hair and she spoke softly, desperate to fix at least something before she left him. "Listen, about what happened at the hospital-"

"Ally it's okay, you don't have to explain." he interrupted, pulling away. "You were caught up in the moment and I understand." He looked upset, but tried to conceal it. "You obviously don't share the same feelings that I have for you."

Ally was taken back by his words and looked down, trying to find the right words, "I- I do like you Austin."

"Then please look up at me."

Ally's slowly lifted her head and her brown eyes met his hazel ones. Then, a feeling she hasn't felt in years, blossomed inside of her. It spread from her chest to her fingertips and a grin formed on her mouth. She parted her lips and before her brain could stop her, her heart spoke instead. "I love you."

He stared at her, processing what she said and Ally knew right then and there that it's true. She loves Austin Moon. She always has, but something has been holding her back. She took his hands in her own and didn't let him say anything back, he didn't have to.

She reached up on her tippy toes and kissed him.

Her plan, her simple plan to run away diminished in that instant. She wouldn't leave him, she couldn't, because her own heart would break as well. This is where she belongs, with him, in his arms and she's not going anywhere. She thought this as he deepened the kiss and wrapped his arms around her slim waist and pulled her closer. Austin led them to his bed and they fell upon it, hormonal and in-love.

Ally tangled her fingers through his golden locks and he, underneath her, ran his hands up and down her sides. During their heated make-out session, Austin's mom just had to interrupt and knock on the door.

"Austin dear do you know where Ally is? The school called and said she didn't show up for class today."

Austin quietly groaned and called out, "She's in here mom, we're hanging out."

"Oh! Well then could I speak to her downstairs please?" When the sound of her retreating heels faded away, Ally sighed and climbed off of Austin who laughed despite himself.

"We always get interrupted, don't we?" he sat up and ran a hand through his tousled hair.

She leaned over and kissed his cheek, "I'll take a rain check though." She walked out of the bedroom and felt like she was gliding on air. With a big grin on her on her face, she skipped down the stairs and into the kitchen to meet with Mimi.

"Hey so what did you want to talk abo-" She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw who was sitting at the counter, nonchalantly drinking a Pepsi.

"Hey Alls, your looking well." said Dallas as he daintily sipped through a straw.

Her hands balled into fists at her sides and she spat, "What are you doing here Dallas."

"I invited him here." Ally turned around to find Mrs. Moon walking in and closing the connecting door to the living room behind her. She put a comforting arm around the teen's shoulders and led her towards the counter. Ally allowed her to guide her there, more distracted by her own confusion to be cautious.

"But I don't understand, why would you invite my ex-boyfriend, here."

The older woman laughed and nodded, "I agree, this does seem informal of me. And without a fair warning too!" But she waved it away and continued as she pulled a nail filer from her purse and began to work on her cuticles. "But do you wanna know what's worse? Having a girl your son loves, betray him and get him locked away for two years."

Ally covered her mouth and looked down in shame, her eyes stinging with incoming a tears. She feared this day would come when she would have to face her demons and formally apologize to Austin's mother. "Mrs. Moon, there aren't enough words to describe how sorry I am-"

"Oh save it you wench." Mimi slammed her palm onto the marble counter, causing Ally to jump in surprise. "I don't want to hear another word from you."

Ally paled and shrunk into herself, hoping to melt through the floorboards.

"Dallas, you know what to do." said Mimi, her words dripping with venom.

He smirked and dove over the counter after the unexpecting girl who could only gasp as he tackled her to the ground. She tried to scream and punched at Dallas, hoping to throw him off. However, he was stronger and much quicker and had her mouth gagged and her wrists tied behind her back in two minutes flat. She squirmed and wiggled as he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

Ally craned her neck to look up at Mimi and scowled, furious at her, but mostly at herself for not suspecting it in the first place. As she was carried out the back door, she heard Mimi call out to Austin, distressed over something. She could only assume to tell him a lie to explain Ally's sudden disappearance. Dallas opened the trunk of his black sedan and threw her in. She landed heavily on his golf clubs and dirty clothes, his underwear even fell atop her her head.

Dallas grinned evilly and reached down to stroke her cheek. She flinched away, but his hand traveled down her face and across the side of her waist, eventually resting on her hip. "Soon, I'm going to finish what I started with you."

Ally looked up at him, her eyes cold and piercing. She was furious and was going to give him and Mimi hell.

They're going to regret ever messing with Ally Dawson.
