A/N So almost one year later it's time to get this over with
FRED POV
I would have found it a beautiful day if my thoughts and emotions weren't reeling all over the place. The plan was in motion, however, I didn't know how well this would turn out. The school year was almost over and I have only a few more chances to make all of this right. I fingered the ring in my pocket, it felt right. The whole situation felt wrong though, I had to put my faith in everyone else, not as though I didn't trust them but I didn't like the feeling of having no control over what was about to happen. "I think we have everything ready, I still can't believe I agreed to help you with this." Ginny said from behind me, causing me to jump. I thought I was alone in the tower, apparently not. "I appreciate it though!" I called after her before returning to my thoughts.
HERMIONE POV
time to get this over with
It had started off such a beautiful morning that I had gotten up early and decided to have breakfast outside, accompanied by Harry and Ron. I was still miffed at them for encouraging and assisting Fred with his moronic plan, but I needed my friends. Unfortunately a dreaded question was brought up, one that had been asked quite often by those who were curious in business that wasn't there's. "So, have you thought about what you are going to do with Fred?" Harry asked. "Yeah, you can't keep him on the line forever 'Mione. " Ron quipped up, his mouth stuffed with scrambled eggs. Typical Ronald. "If you two don't drop this I will refuse to eat meals with either of you." I warned, a frown on my face as I pushed the food around my plate with my fork. Bringing up Fred always seemed to dampen my mood. I hadn't decided what exactly I was going to do about the red head blunder On one hand, he lied to me and that's not something I can forgive easily. On the other hand I had actual feelings for the most infuriating of the Weasley clan. Apparently I had tuned out just long enough to deserve snapping fingers in my face. "What do you want?" I asked in almost a snapping tone. "Touchy, touchy."" A voice tutted, one that wasn't there a moment ago. "Draco, nice of you to ruin our morning breakfast." I said sarcastically with an eye roll.
"Okay, moving on." Harry interjected, trying to be the peace keeper between his boyfriend and I. "What are your plans for today?" Ron asked, my mind going blank at the question. "I-I have no idea, maybe I'll find Gin and go to Hogsmeade with her, or something. I have a few loose ends on schoolwork." I answered, Draco scoffed immediately at that, causing me to sneer at him. "And that means what?" I questioned. "You are going to spend a beautiful day inside doing work? Such a typical thing for you to do, not enjoy the wonderful weather."" He answered, leaving me speechless for a moment. He had a point,, though I didn't want to admit it aloud. "You have a point, thanks Draco." I say, getting up and handing him my breakfast plate. "What am I supposed to do with this?" The blonde complained. "I don't care, bye now!" I called from over my shoulder, going off to find the redheaded girl.1 care, byenow1 up and handing him my breakfast plul weather."my face
I searched everywhere to find Ginny. I started in the Great Hall, seeing if she had decided to get something to heat. I then went to check the girl's dormitory, no, not there either. She wasn't in any of the classrooms, she wasn't in the library, in the courtyard, the green houses, down by the lake. "Where the heck is this girl?" I asked myself in frustration as I roamed the halls, wondering where else the girl could be. "Oh, Hermione! I have been looking all over the place for you!" A voice, Ginny's voice to be more precise, rang from behind me. I spun around to look at her, letting out a laugh. "We must have passed each other one million times. I was looking all over for you!" I explained with a grin on my face, glad to have finally found her. "Do you want to go to Hogsmeade?" Both of us asked the other at the same time. We let out a laugh and nodded our heads and then we were on our way.
We were on a way back, a licorice wand in Ginny's hand and a sugar quill in mine. "I'm surprised you weren't spending the day with Neville." I commented and she shrugged her shoulders. "He's busy, he's hanging around with others." She mumbled out. I narrowed my eyes and looked at her suspiciously. "With what others?" I asked, the other girl letting out a soft sigh. "The boys. Harry, Draco, Fred, Ron, you know, the guys" She mumbled out quickly. I sighed, everyone asked about Fred but whenever someone brought up what he was doing they made it sound like it was a he secret and that I was a fragile little girl. "You know it doesn't matter to me what he's doing, it's not like I hate him or anything." I sighed, shaking my head. "Well maybe you should act like you don't hate him then, you haven't eve n acknowledged him since the day in the hospital wing Hermione, maybe you should soften up a bit." She said, her voice a bit on edge. I knew she was upset with me, just a tad bit, you could hear it in her voice. That was her older brother after all. I stayed silent as I put my thoughts in a row so I could reply somewhat coherently. "I suppose you have a point, I have been rather harsh." I admitted. "But, it is only because of the fact I was hurt with what he did. I cried for days after I found out it was all a ploy. Next time I see him, we'll talk things out. I promise." I finished in a sincere tone, I meant what I said one hundred percent. "Hermione, you have known him for so many years. He has never really been in a real relationship, or at least one that he's both committed to and is determined to stay with for a long time. This is how he works. But anyways, you mean what you say right? Next time you see him you will talk things out?" She asked eagerly. I frowned and looked at her skeptically. "Yes, I do mean that. Now Ginevra Weasley, what are you up to?" She just gave me a wicked grin in reply as she pulled out a blindfold, causing my frown to grow. ""Do you trust me?" She questioned, casing me to nod my head weakly. "What the hell does your brother have planned this time?" I asked as I allowed her to tie the blindfold around my eyes. "You'll see." Was all I got in response.
Many steps, and tripping and curses, later, I was finally allowed to stop walking. "Stay here, and if you take off the blindfold and run, I will hex you and drag your ass back up here." She said in a sweet voice before the footsteps faded away, I was standing out there for five minutes before she came back out. She pushed me inside the room,, the smell overwhelming my senses. It was very sweet, and very floral. The smell was both overwhelming and pleasant, both fresh and full of aroma. "I have to go, when you hear the door close you can take off the blindfold." Ginny said softly, giving me a quick nudge before she ran away. When the door slammed close I took off the blindfold. There must have been hundreds of flowers around me, both magical and non-magical. I spotted forget-me-nots and smiled fondly, they were my favorites. I saw Fred but chose to ignore him for a moment before taking in the full sight. Obviously we were in the room of requirement but the sight was refreshing. It was a serene scene, outdoorsy, green and lush grass plains. "Did Neville help you with all the flowers?" I asked, feeling both tense and awkward. That was the first thing I had said to him in a month, maybe a little more, and that was the first thing I said to him. "Yes, he did. I actually did something that you would approve of. I asked Headmistress McGonagall to make sure this was allowed with her." Fred said, that charming grin of his plastered on his face. If I was the type of girl to say my heart melted at something as trivial as that, well then, my heart would have melted at the sight. "Fred don't think this makes up for the humiliation you put me through." I started. "But-" He tried to interrupt but I didn't allow him to. "I don't know if I can forgive you for that and while I thought I was ready to talk to you, I don't think I am. I'm sorry." I turned on my heel to leave, not even glancing up at him. "Hermione Jean Granger, if you don't let me speak and try to hear me out you are missing out on something great, and I would have to pity you for the rest of my life." HE said. I turned back around, looking at him in shock as my anger started to bubble inside of me. "Excuse me?" I questioned, gritting my teeth together. "You heard me. Do not say anything until I'm done, please." He said in the most serious manner I have ever heard him speak. He walked over to me, taking my hand in his. It felt familiar but my initial reaction was to flinch away from his grasp.
"I know what I did was wrong, I already admitted that. I would tell you I'm sorry for the rest of my life, if you would let me that is. However, what you have been doing isn't any better. You won't talk to me, hell, you won't even look at me. You said you would talk about us, that you needed some time, and I think I gave you enough time to decide what you want. We had a couple of really good weeks, and it was my idiotic fault for letting that be ruined but if you weren't so stubborn you would have realized I didn't do it out of malice towards you, I did it because that's the only way I know how to get someone's attention. I'm stubborn too, I was so stubborn that I concocted a whole plan to see if you had any interest in me. I was too stubborn, or maybe cowardly is the right word, to find out if we could work. But maybe it's because I knew before all of this you would have never taken interest in a guy like me. We are so different, but I think we bring out the best in each other. You tend to have more fun and smile more when I'm around and I tend to think things over more… Rationally, when you're around. You're so beautiful and smart, how could I not have been a little intimidated when trying to figure out how you felt about me? That was obviously a rhetorical question. I apologize, whole heartedly, Hermione. Please forgive me." He finished and I was stunned to say the least, trying to think of a response I opened my mouth but he hushed me. "I'm not finished yet."
He got down on one knee and dug around in his pocket. I started to panic, what the hell did he think he was doing? He couldn't possibly think this was the time to propose, could he? "Fred I-" I started to say but he hushed me yet again. "Ah, here it is." He mumbled out, pulling out a silver band with an inscription on it, I think it read both of our names. "This, is a promise ring. I promise never to pull any pranks on you or lie, unless it's to save your life or something as dramatic as such. McGonagall helped me do something to them, I have one too. Basically it has some sort of truth…Thing in it and if I lie, minus a few conditions, you'll find out immediately. Er, I don't really know how it works. She and Flitwick did it, not me. Anyways, will you take the ring?" He asked. I hesitated, I knew I hesitated longer than he was expecting when he started looking around nervously. "Get up." I said simply. He listened reluctantly. "You said you have a ring like this one in your hand as well?" I questioned. "Oh, uh, yeah." He nodded, fumbling in his other pocket. "Put it on." I said softly as I took the one for me from him, slipping it onto my finger. "I forgive you." I whispered, pulling him into a kiss. And in that moment, I realized the troubles were over. My worries melted away, I could trust him wholeheartedly. Or so I thought.
SHORT LITTLE EPILOGUE
"You bastard! I thought you couldn't have kids!" Hermione snarled at me as she winced in pain, dad driving us to the hospital because Hermione had insisted she delivers the child in a muggle hospital. I rolled my eyes at her and let out a little sigh. "Because that's what I was told after the war! You knew that! For Merlin's sake you are in labor and you are bringing this up again?" Fred asked her, earning a smack from his writhing wife of three years, it had been five years since they mended their relationship. ""This is not the time to bring that up Frederick!" She snapped before letting out another moan in main.
Hours later, not to mention agonizing screams from Hermione, and Fred as well when she squeezed his hand all too tightly, two beautiful babies were born. A boy and a girl. The babies were asleep and named, the girl named Analise Ginevra Weasley and the born Xander Georg Weasley which left the mother and father with a few moments of piece and quiet in the cramped hospital bed. "We should have gone to a wizard's hospital, the beds are more comfortable." Fred joked, though he didn't mind being in such close proximity to the brunette, not to mention his new children. "Oh shove off. I shouldn't even be letting you share the bed with me, I am the one who gave birth." She said drowsily, resting her head on his chest, him pulling the hospital covers over them. The pair was almost asleep. "Hermione, everyday I thank you for saving me from death in some sort of fashion, I don't know how to repay you for bringing my beautiful children into this world, our children, and giving me such a perfect little family." Fred spoke in a vulnerable tone, tears in his eyes. "There's no need to thank me. The was is over and so are our troubles. It's smooth sailing from here.." She spoke softly, easing the red head's nerves and finally, the two falling into a slumber.
ONE MILION YEARS LATER AND FINALLY THE END! Sorry it took me so long to finish, after a while I got really busy with life and haven't had a lot of time to write. Also, sorry for little grammar and spelling mistakes here and there, I'm trying to learn to type on my new tablet keyboard so I know how to use it come time for classes xD
