Hehehehe, enjoy! And by the way, yes it is.

Rebel HQ:

"Is this them, Haymitch?" Katniss asked as she looked at the small family. She had ordered them taken from Twelve right after the Reaping when no one would notice. Though, she guessed Haymitch made it look like they had been attacked.

"Haymitch?" The man said. Katniss looked at him. He was tall and muscular, like the two boys whom Septa had mentored during her last few years. But he looked nothing like them. And the woman looked too young to have been their mother. But she looked more like them with her brown hair and brown eyes. The two boys looked like the man. They had his black hair and blue eyes, not to mention that they looked exactly alike. "You won the Second Quarter Quell. You mentored Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark."

"I did. And one of them is dead now."

"They both died." The man said. "I watched the reports with my father. She was quietly executed and he died in some sort of crash."

"She is not dead." Katniss stepped in. They looked at her. Recognition played on Hima's face.

"Catnip?" She whispered. Katniss smiled.

"That's actually a nickname an old friend gave me long ago. I am Katniss Everdeen, the Mockingjay."

"So you got Septa killed!" Ed accused.

"Aunt Septa is dead?" Grief and panic swept across both of their faces as they knelt and turned their sons to face them. Tears fell from Hima's eyes.

"Andrew, Jacob, we didn't want to have to tell you."

"Is that why you sent us from the room last year?" Jacob asked. Katniss was starting to notice small differences. Hima nodded. "They told us about it in school. They told us that the greatest Victor betrayed everyone for no good reason and so she was killed. But that's all they told us."

"And they lied to you, Jacob." Hima said. "Septa was part of something that was dangerous. It was so dangerous that she couldn't tell anyone about it. I only knew about it because I am nosy." The boys smiled. "But she did have a reason. You two never knew, but Septa lost her entire family to the Games. One by one, her siblings died until she was the last. Then she became an orphan and won her Games. She mentored your uncles like they were her own sons. When we lost them, she became afraid for you two. She decided to fight because she didn't want to lose the two of you. She didn't want me to lose the two of you." Hima held her boys close. "And that's why I am going to help them. For the two of you. I don't want the two of you to ever have to go into the Arena. And you won't, as long as I still breathe." Hima stood and looked at Katniss. "Well, Katniss, you already know me and my husband, Ed. This is Andrew and Jacob." She pointed to each in turn. "Greenman was my maiden name. Tiller is my last name now."

"Well, Mrs. Tiller, I welcome you to Thirteen. This soldier will show your family to your rooms. I need you to come with me."

"Why?"

"You'll see." Ed nodded his ascent and followed the soldier with the boys. Hima followed Haymitch and Katniss into the building and down an elevator. They stayed silent the entire why down. Hima noticed the guns on their belts and felt the weight of the gun in her hands.

"Who leads you now that Septa is dead?" She asked as they exited the elevator.

"I do for now." Katniss answered.

"For now?" Katniss stopped outside a door a moment.

"Please, understand that we did what was necessary."

"Necessary for what?" Katniss opened the door and Hima heard the beeping of a heart monitor. Katniss nodded and Hima stood in the doorway. Laying on the bed, pale as a ghost, was Septa. Her black hair was fanned out beneath her and she was thin. Tubes with clear liquid were attached to her arm and a machine was doing the breathing for her. On the table next to her was the locket Lin had given her and her father's medallion. "But, I watched. She was shot in the chest. She died in front of all of Panem."

"That is what we wanted everyone to think." Haymitch answered her. "In order for her to live, she had to die. Beetee was able to create a nerve toxin that shut down her system and made it look like she was bleeding. But we had to hurry. If we had waited any longer before getting her on the machines, her heart would have stopped completely."

"You mean it,"

"It slowed down enough to convince the president that she was dead. The old man to."

"But how?"

"We have spies in the Capitol. They were able to disguise themselves as Peacekeepers and spray it on them while they slept and after they were bathed."

"But couldn't it have seeped into their skin?"

"No. Beetee made sure that it acted as an armor only. The toxin acted only once the bullet had hit her."

"So why am I here?"

"The toxin only lasts about a year. One of the side effects. We'll be taking her off the machines within the next few days as she's already started to show signs of life again." Katniss said. "We thought it might be best if the person closest to her was here when she woke." Hima nodded and went to sit on the chair. She noticed the other bed and the old man on it, the same machines hooked to him.

Septa:

Pain and then darkness. That's all I remember. The pain was in my chest. I should be dead. But I don't feel dead. Instead, I feel as if I have been laying in a bed for a year. But I couldn't have been. There was no rescue mission. Gale and I died in front of all of Panem. I was shot. He must have been shot right after me. What is that annoying beeping and why can't someone shut it off? Wait, I recognize that beeping. It's a hospital machine. Maybe I haven't died yet. Maybe, maybe the whole thing was a dream. Maybe I have just won the Quarter Quell and am in the hospital, regaining my strength.

I take a deep breath and hear someone move. That's not right. I should be alone. Victors are always alone when they are in the hospital. Why am I not alone? Was it all real? I start to panic and the beeping increases. Cold liquid drips into my veins and more darkness. But it's not complete. Slowly, I am becoming aware of my surroundings. This is not the hospital in the Capitol. But I'm not in one of the districts either. A hand takes mine. It feels familiar to me, like I've held it before.

"Why doesn't she wake up, Mommy?"

Mommy? Who would be sitting with me with her kids?

"Maybe she is just being stubborn. You should try waking her." The hand lets go

Now why does that sound like a challenge? I smile in my mind. But I hear a small gasp. The children obviously don't notice and I make my smile disappear. The bed springs creak beneath me as the two children crawl into the bed. A small finger tickles my side. I keep my face straight. I must not laugh if this is to work. But something about this game is familiar and I can picture the disappointed faces of the two children that are trying desperately to wake me up by tickling me. Two bodies snuggle up next to me, curling so their bare feet are right next to my hands. Time for a little payback. I twitch a finger on each hand. The children giggle right in my ears. Boys, both of them. I keep my face straight and tickle them a little more. The boys get smart and sit up, making sure their feet on flat on the bed. But I know better. They are extremely ticklish. A few minutes pass.

"I guess she fell asleep again." The one on my left says. They make to climb out of the bed and I grab their ankles and tickle their feet with my thumb. They burst into laughter and I crack open an eye. It's hard because of the crust, but I can see slightly. It's enough to see the cloth that comes and wipes the crust from my eyes. I blink and use my arm to shield my eyes from the fluorescent light above me. The boys get off the bed. "We did it, Mommy." They say excitedly. I look at the woman they are talking to and smile.

"What are you doing here? More importantly, how am I still alive?" I whisper. I had to have been asleep for a year. My throat is killing me. Hima helps me sit up before handing me a class of water.

"Katniss sent Haymitch for us. So you weren't completely alone when you woke up."

I take a drink of water. "That still doesn't explain why I am alive. I was shot in the chest. I think I would remember if I had been wearing body armor."

"Beetee created a nerve toxin." Hima explained. "It worked like body armor, but activated when you were shot, making it look like you had died. You've been in a coma ever since. The toxin has only just worn off."

"And how long has that been?"

"A year." I see sadness in Hima's eyes.

"Tell me you didn't blame yourself." She shakes her head. "Oh Hima, it wasn't your fault. Someone betrayed Thirteen and I am going to find out who it was and have their entire ring thrown in jail and then executed." I make to get out of bed, but Hima pushes me down.

"You've only just woken up. Rest. You can talk to Katniss in the morning."

Septa, Morning:

I sit with my arms crossed. I know that running this complex takes some time, but Katniss could at least make some time for me. I need to know what is going on and find out who the spy had been. The Capitol could have intercepted my messages for all I know. But this traitor troubles me. They knew that I was leading the rebels and they told the Capitol. But they can't have known about the nerve toxin or I would be dead, completely dead, right now. I never would have woken up. Now that I have woken up, I need to get back into the swing of things. Though, training may not be a bad idea. I feel weak after having been asleep for a whole year. I twist my neck and hear it crack and pop. Damn, I'm stiff. They could have moved me once in a while at least.

The door opens and I look up. It's Katniss, Haymitch, and Coin. I raise an eyebrow but say nothing. There is silence for a while before I finally decide to speak. "Explain." Is all I say. They know what I want explained. I want to know what the hell happened last year. The only one who knows my answer is Coin. Haymitch and Katniss look at her.

"Plutarch took command from me. He had me arrested for conspiracy against you. He organized the uprising in Eleven and the attack on the train."

"Does he know what happened to Eleven?"

"No. We have kept him in the jail cells for the past year. He has no idea. But his followers went missing the night of the attack. We lost many soldiers that day. Only the companies we sent to Twelve came back alive. And that is because the woman you left in charge saw the increase of Peacekeepers. She saved them and the District. The others were not so lucky. They must have suspected an attack."

"Of course they did. Especially after the stunts pulled in Eleven. How were you even able to get us out of there?"

"They put you in the sewers to be feasted on by the rats. We had a small team ready. Another victor wanted to come. But I told her to stay put. She would be needed this year. If she disappeared, there would be no hope for the children of Eleven."

"That is good. Perhaps she can help the children from Twelve as well." I hang my head. They would have me if I had been smarter. I should have had Plutarch watched. I'm going to kill him. "Does Plutarch know that I am alive?"

"No. Katniss told him that you had been killed. That it was him who had exposed you."

I nod. "And Lin?"

"In the Capitol." Katniss answers. "With the children."

"And Gale?"

"Who?"

"Gale Hawthorne. He died with me. Where is he?"

"Gale died over thirty years ago." Katniss answered.

"Glad to know you have so much faith in me, Catnip." I hear Gale say from the second bed. Katniss turns to face him, her face going pale.

"Gale?" He grins and she rushes to him. A small smile graces Coin's lips.

Hehehe, told you it wasn't over. Now that she is back, we can get down to business. Can't wait for your reviews for this one. thanks for reading!
