Déja vu.

After a solid ten minutes of walking and speculating over what we just saw, we made it to the café in one piece.

We entered the room to a very distressed Washington.

"Oh, thank god you're here!" He spoke.

"What's going on Wash? Is something wrong?" I asked suspiciously.

"Not exactly, Alaska's having an A.I. implantation." He replied.

"What?! When?!" I interrogated frantically.

"Right this second." He replied.

Without thinking I ran as fast as I could towards the medical bay, barging through anyone standing in my way, whether it be a marine, or a lower ranking agent.

I crashed through the doors of the medical bay and walked towards the theatre room.

Not before I was stopped by a doctor.

"Whoa! Sorry sir, no unauthorised personnel. There's a observation room up those stairs over there, if you wish to watch." He instructed, gesturing to the stairs to the right of me.

I nodded towards the doctor and climbed the stairs. In the room I found someone else. The Director.

"Agent Vermont, I see you heard the news." He spoke softer than usual.

"With all due respect, Sir. You should have told me personally." I growled.

"I would have told you Agent, but you were distracted by an unscheduled training session." He retorted.

I grunted and sat down.

I could see that the zero-g surgery was taking place. I watched as Alaska was turned in mid air and a needle was jabbed into the back of her skull. The contents, however, I couldn't identify.

"What are they injecting into her?" I asked the Director.

"That is a prototype, A.I. injector, recently shipped from Misriah medical industries." The Director replied.

I zoomed in on the needle with my helmet. It was larger than any other needle I've ever seen. The content glowed a strange crimson colour and it appeared to respond to sound.

"Kappa." The Director mumbled.

"I'm sorry?" I responded.

"Kappa, your sister's A.I. Vermont. He is the fragment of Valour. I do believe that the two shall work well, indeed. Especially, with the new mission I'm currently planning." He replied.

I turned to look at him but he kept his eyes glued to the operating room.

"New mission, sir?" I inquired. It's been a while since I've seen some real action.

"In due time agent." He replied coolly.

I turned back to watch my sister. From what I could gather, she was handling the implantation well. However, some of the doctors faces didn't look too promising.

After what seemed to feel like an hour, the doctor's had finished. Apparently, Alaska was bleeding far more than she should have, but they managed to fix the problem with no major errors.

I walked down the stairs to watch them wheel her to the recovery room.

"Zeta." I said calmly. She appeared next to me wearing her usual flowered dress.

"Yes?" "Set a reminder to check up on her in a few days." I instructed.

"Done." She beamed.

"Thank you, you may log off now." I smiled at her in the first time in ages, she couldn't see it through my helmet though.

Four days later.

I walked towards the recovery room. I had received news that Alaska had been awake for a few hours, so I decided to drop everything and visit her

When I entered the room, she was being nursed by South, a funny sight indeed. To add to her list of visitors. there was North, York, Texas and Maine.

"Hey guys, where's Wash?" I asked.

"He has a training match with Delaware." York replied.

I wondered how he was doing, Wash was a terrible fighter. But then again, Delaware isn't exactly Bruce Lee.

I dismissed the thought and faced my sister.

"How you feeling, labrat?" I joked.

"Labrat?" She questioned.

"They used an prototype A.I injector on you, I watched the entire operation." I grinned.

Evidently, she didn't take much liking to her new nickname, personally I know it wouldn't stick anyway, but I never turn down an opportunity to mock my sister.

"Lets see him then." Tex insisted.

"Come on Kapp, don't be afraid." Alaska soothed.

A crimson colored ODST then materialized in front of us.

"If I may, I am not afraid to show myself in front of others Alaska." Kappa responded.

He had the kind of voice to keep morals up, due to his smooth yet confident nature.

He was holding an assault rifle and he had his head up high.

"Zeta, come meet your brother." I suggested.

Zeta appeared with a grin on her face, she was always excited to meet new people. Every time I walked down a corridor, she would always greet anyone that walked past.

Once Zeta had shown an appearance, Theta, Sigma and Omega also showed themselves. Zeta being careful as to not get too close to Sigma.

After the had all made an appearance, we all decided to give Alaska some rest. At the request of Kappa.

I returned to my room to find a small note on my bed. It read:

Vermont, I am requesting that you see me in my office at 2100 hours tomorrow.
Don't be late, you'll want to hear this.
Sincerely, Dr. Church.
