Natsu & Lucy:

"Engaged!" Lucy shouted, pulling back from Natsu. "What do you mean I'm engaged to you?!"

After hearing Lucy's statement, a look of hurt flashed through Natsu's eyes. He slowly lowered his eyes, his bangs now covering them. Lucy stopped screaming, and noticed that Natsu had become quiet.

"Is getting married to me really that bad?" Natsu murmured, turning his head. Realizing what Lucy had said, her eyes widened. She didn't answer, leaving Natsu dejected.

"I guess it is..." Natsu whispered, making his way to the door. Lucy broke out of her trance, and ram towards Natsu. Her muscles ache for some reason, but she kept running. She ran towards him, and hugged him from behind before he left the room.

"That's not what I meant. I'm just shocked. Gomen ne Natsu." She whimpered, tears forming in her eyes. "Don't leave me..."

Her begging, caused Natsu to tense up. He turned around, and pulled her into his chest. She soaked his shirt, but he didn't care, because he had tears in his eyes too. He pulled back slightly, and looked at Lucy in the eyes.

"I will never leave you." He said, causing her to start sobbing again.

Later...

Lucy had stopped crying, and Natsu had carried her back to the infirmary bed. He went into the bed with her, pulling her close to his chest. She started to relax, and melted into his arms. They laid there in silence, enjoying each others company.

"What happened to me, Natsu? Last I remember, we were going on a date until I fainted." Lucy asked, breaking the silence. Natsu pulled back, and gave her a questioning look.

"A date?" He asked, feeling confused. Lucy, now gave him a questioning look, and sighed.

"Yeah, a date. You took me on a date to the carnival, and then when you kissed me, I fainted." Lucy explained, nervously. They had gone on a date right? She felt extremely nervous at Natsu's confusion. She turned her attention back at Natsu, who had an unreadable look on his face.

"Natsu-"

"Yeah, I remember that date." He said, flicking her forehead. "You weirdo, that was like 4 years ago. How do you still remember it?"

Lucy froze in her spot, and looked at Natsu. Four years ago, that wasn't possible. She had just fainted, and now she woke up. She felt a wave of fear hit her, and she trembled in Natsu's embrace.

"Luce, what's wrong?"

"Four years ago! That's not possible!" She screamed, throwing yet another tantrum. She had never felt so scared in her life. What time is it? What day is it? What year is it? Natsu called her name multiple times, but she ran out of the infirmary, ignoring his cries.

She didn't make it far, before she bumped into someone. She fell back, and rubbed her head, looking up at the person.

"Gray?" She questioned, looking at the male in front of her. Upon hearing his name, he looked up.

"Lucy?" Gray asked, feeling nervous. She nodded, as he reached up and pulled her into a hug. The timing was horrible, because in a matter of seconds, Natsu caught up with Lucy. He felt his stomach boil, and his fists clenched.

"YOU ICY BASTARD! GET YOU'RE HANDS OFF MY WOMAN!" Natsu growled, before tackling Gray to the ground. Gray and Natsu started started punching each other, while Lucy stood there helpless.

"She's my friend too you know!" Gray said, punching Natsu on the jaw.

"Well, she's my woman, my mate!" Natsu countered, punching Gray across the cheek.

"STOP!" The two males to their attention to the blonde that glared at the two. She walked over, and pulled Natsu off of Gray, helping Gray up.

"Sorry about Natsu, Gray. I just woke up, and he said I was engaged to him." She explained, giving a smile. Gray gave her a weird look, before opening his mouth to speak.

"But you guys are engaged." He pointed out, scratching his head. Lucy didn't answered, and turned her attention to Natsu.

"And you," She started, giving him the glare. "what the hell did you think you were doing?"

Natsu shrunk under her glare, but regained his confidence.

"I was just protecting what was mine." He said childishly. Lucy blushed at his bluntness, but reasoned that he was like that because they were engaged. She smiled, and grabbed him by the arm.

"You have some explaining to do."

The Guild:

Apparently, leaving the infirmary was not the best decision. She was tackled by the guild members when they noticed she was there next to Natsu. They questioned if she was actually Lucy, making Lucy wonder how long she was out. After all the question, hugging, and tears that were shed, she made her way to the bar.

"Ne Natsu, where is Kaito?" Lucy asked, scanning the guild for her friend.

"Kaito, who the hell is he?" Natsu asked Lucy, causing Lucy's eyes to widened.

"I met him when I left Fairy Tail, and then I came back." Lucy explained, eyes searching frantically for the water dragon slayer.

"Lucy," Natsu paused, looking into Lucy's eyes. "you never left Fairy Tail, and you never brought back a guy named Kaito."

Lucy looked at Natsu, and then around the guild. She was panicking, but she didn't want Natsu to know. She needed to find Kaito, and she decided that she would look for him tomorrow. 'I mean come on,' she thought 'I brought Kaito back with me.

Natsu & Lucy's House:

Natsu & Lucy:

Apparently when Natsu and Lucy were dating, Natsu bought them a house. Lucy didn't have to worry about her rent anymore, but it was awkward to live with Natsu. The house was really quite nice. It was painted a sky blue, and there were two floors. The kitchen was big, and the house was in wood instead of carpet. There were 4 bedrooms, and two bathrooms.

She blushed, when Natsu told her that they shared a room. After the tour, Lucy wondered how Natsu manged to actually buy a house. He simply shrugged, and told her that if it was for her, money wasn't an issue.

"So Natsu, tell me how I ended up in the infirmary." She said, sitting on their bed. Natsu looked uncomfortable with the question, which made Lucy curious. She waited, but he didn't seem to want to answer.

"Natsu-"

"It was my fault." He answered, making Lucy surprised. She leaned in, interested in what he had to say. Natsu on the other hand though, turned his head, glaring at the floor.

"We were on a mission, I couldn't protect you." He confessed, looking away. Lucy walked next to him, and cupped his cheeks.

"It's not you're fault Natsu." Lucy assured, stroking his cheek with her thumb. "What happened during the mission?"

This action caused Natsu to blush, and he sheepishly continued his story.

"Well..."

Flashback:

Team Natsu had decided to do a mission. It wasn't a very difficult one. They just had to find some berries in the mountains. The reward was quite high too. They took the train there of course (much to Natsu's dismay) and arrived at the clients house. They knocked on the old wooden doors and an old woman appeared.

"Hello. We are the mages from Fairy Tail." Erza introduced.

"Why hello. You are here to do the request am I right?" The old woman asked.

"Yes."

"The berries are located on the highest mountain. I must warn you though, there is a Wyvern on the top and it is very possessive of it's food." The old woman warned.

And with that they we're off. On the hike Lucy shivered from the cold, but she felt something wrap around her neck. She looked and saw her fiancé's scarf around her neck. She blushed, while Natsu just grinned at her. When they reached the top they were met with a very big white Wyvern.

"Lucy we'll distract it you go gather the berries." Erza order.

Natsu tried attacking it but he none of his attacks affected it.

"Damn it! Why won't you just go down already!" Natsu yelled, repeatedly attacking the Wyvern with his fire magic.

"Oi flame-head! Watch you're aiming! Are you blind or something!" Gray insulted, dodging the small fireballs that flew everywhere.

"At least I actually have clothes on, stripper!" Natsu yelled. Gray stopped attacking and went looking for his clothes before Erza killed him.

During Natsu and Gray's whole argument, no one noticed that the Wyvern started moving towards Lucy. Erza noticed first, and rushed to Lucy.

"Lucy!" She screamed, calling the blonde's name.

Natsu heard her name, and stopped fighting with Gray. Lucy looked up, and her eyes widened in horror. It was too late though, and to Natsu, it all happened in slow motion. The Wyvern swung it's tail at Lucy, sending her flying. She hit a wall, and fell down, leaving a trailing of blood on the wall.

She laid there motionless, while something inside Natsu snapped. He formed dragon scales on his face, killing the Wyvern with one blow. In a matter of seconds, he was at Lucy's side, holding her head in his lap. She had a large gash in her torso, with a black liquid seeping out. His scarf was now soaked in blood, and her heartbeat was faint. He didn't care about his scarf at the moment, everything was on Lucy, and just Lucy.

For once in his life, Natsu Dragneel was scared. What if she dies? What if his Lucy doesn't make it?

"ERZA!" He roared, tears spilling from his eyes. The requip mage walked over to Natsu, tears in both her eyes.

"She's been poisoned Natsu. There is nothing I can do." Erza said, looking away. "Wyvern poison can cause number of things...including death."

In a matter of seconds, Natsu was on his feet, with Lucy in his arms. He quickly ran his way towards the train station, heading for Fairy Tail. The train staff gave him looks, before a man walked up to him.

"Sir, I don't think you can have a bloody person on the train." The man said, he stopped, when he saw Natsu's glare. The man ran away, and didn't turn around.

When they arrived at Fairy Tail, the cheering stopped when they saw the celestial mage. She was rushed to the infirmary, where Wendy quickly began healing her. Natsu sat on the chairs, and watched as Wendy healed her. When she finished, she turned to Natsu.

"How is she?" He asked. Wendy shivered under his intense glare and looked away. He saw through the young dragon slayer, and he knew he wasn't going to like what she told him.

"I saved her from death, but-"

"BUT WHAT?!" Natsu roared, scaring the poor girl. She held back her tears, and finished her sentence.

"She's in a coma, Natsu-san. I don't know when she's going to wake up." Wendy answered, before leaving the room. Natsu stood there frozen. He looked over at his fianceé, who laid in the infirmary bed. He walked over to her, like a robot, and broke down.

"Gomenasai Lucy!" He wailed, sobbing into the blanket. "I failed to protect you!"

He sobbed for what seemed like eternity, before calming down.

"Now we have to cancel our wedding, but we were planning it to be on you're birthday too. I remember how excited you were when I proposed to you. We had been going out for over a year, and you knew it was coming soon." Natsu confessed, stroking her cheek.

"Lucy, come back to me."

End Flashback

"Wait, so you're saying that I just woke up from my coma?" Lucy asked, standing up.

"Yeah." Natsu replied. After Natsu's answer, Lucy ran into her restroom, and locked the door. Natsu looked at the door weirdly, before deciding that it would be best to leave Lucy by herself. He sighed, and walked downstairs to the refrigerator.

Meanwhile with Lucy, she was beyond frustrated. She tried using her dragon slayer magic, but nothing seemed to work. 'Does this mean that I had never met Kaito?' she thought to herself.

She pulled her hair in frustration, and decided that waiting to find Kaito tomorrow would be too long. She had to find him today.

Okay, so maybe I lied a bit when I said I wasn't going to update soon. Some people were still confused, so I just decided to write the next chapter.

The Super Bowl is tomorrow, and I'm excited. I'm a Seahawk's Fan who also lives in Seattle, so I'm hoping their going to win. The Bronco's aren't bad themselves, so it's going to be a good game.

I think after this chapter, I'm not going to update in a bit. Like I said, I have a lot of homework, but I might lie and update next week.

I might actually write a sequel to this, or do a separate Kailu ending. I doubt it though.

I honestly don't really know what I'm going to write for the next chapter, but I'll try.

By the way, this story is NOT complete yet.

Summary of Chapter 14:

Lucy's engaged to Natsu, and the previous chapter (chapter 13 Natsu's Date) apparently, Natsu took Lucy on that date 4 years ago. Natsu and Lucy live together now, and it turns out that Lucy had just woken up from a mission gone wrong. Lucy found out that her dragon slayer magic doesn't work, and now she's going to go find Kaito.
