Chapter14
Next morning Lucas went to the guild as he started to greet everyone. Lucas sat on the chair putting his head on the table giving a defeated sigh. The barmaid realized that he was disappointed. She started to guess what was wrong with him. "Lucas..." she started catching his attention making him raising his eyes on her. "Did Natsumi broke into your home again?" She said that guessing that it was the reason for his depression. When Natsumi's name was heard on Lucas' s ear, a light pink color appeared on Lucas's cheeks. He hid his face not giving the chance to the barmaid to see it. "No... I don't have money that's all" this wasn't the real reason that bothered Lucas. Because what happened with him yesterday and how beautiful and cute Natsumi was made him confused.
He kept thinking the half night of her and the other half he was dreaming of her in his sleeping. He felt like he was going crazy. Those feelings inside of his heart made him unable to live in peace. When he is alone his heart willing to see her. But, when he see her his heart beats so fast. It's just confusing! Lucas's ear caught the sound of the dragon slayer and her blue cat enter the guild from the door's guild. Lucas jumped from his place to look at the pink haired BEAUTIFUL girl. Both eyes fell on each other making pink blush spread on the cheeks. Both Natsumi and Lucas looked away from each other face. But unfortunately Mira the matchmaking barmaid didn't let it go without realizing this blush on both cheeks.
Natsumi sat down but not beside him she let a chair beside him and sat on the next to that chair. She looked at the barmaid and ordered her order. She kept looking at her food never letting his eyes away from her food. Lucas glanced at her realizing that Natsumi was putting the clip on her hair. He swallowed his throat and stared at her. A soft smile curled on his lips catching the barmaid attention. She looked at the direction which was Lucas was looking at. "Wow, Natsumi this clip is so beautiful!" a soft smile curled on her lips. She touched her clip softly that when Gray intrupted them. "No, it looks ugly on you" he provoked her "You should remove it" he stated making Natsumi jump with a fist on his face making him fly towards the door.
Lucas's facepalm was shown finally after Natsumi went to fight with the ice mage. "My my" Mira smiled at the situation "Natsumi is sure cute" she stated making Lucas look at the pink haired. Seeing a monster in front of him another facepalm was shown. He sighed drinking from his drink 'This really tough' he stated to himself remembering the last night and how Natsumi looked in that dress and the lipstick.
He sighed again "You look really awful" stated the barmaid looking at the mage in front of her earning another sigh. Lucas stood up "I will go walking a little around the city" and with that he left the guild to walk around the guild.
Then after that in the guild, Natsumi came back to complete her food after finishing her fight with the black haired. While she was eating Mira looked at her "Natsumi" she stated catching the dragon slayer attention. Natsumi looked at her "Umm" she said with some food inside of her mouth. "What's wrong with Lucas?" She asked "He seemed so down" she pouted. Natsumi gulped quickly "H-how s-should I know?" She asked looking at the sandwich she was eating.
A smirk curled on the barmaid's lips "Is that so" she said grabbing a cup and she started cleaning it.
"Ah, that's right Mira" Natsumi gulped the bite making the barmaid look at her. "I need you to help put the make up for the party tomorrow." The salamander stated making Mira freeze and stay silent for a while. Natsumi kept eating the food as she didn't realize the barmaid state at all.
Mira wasn't sure she heard right "Wow, you really want to wear make up in the party?" She asked making sure on what she heard.
"Yeah, I will also wear that dress you bought to me" she said as Mira started to feel the tears gathering on both her eyes. Well, the happiness tears. The barmaid wiped away those tears and looked at the pink haired "Natsumiii ~~" she hugged her."You finally grew up" hugging tighter making Natsumi spit out some of the sandwich "I'm proud of you".
"H-hey I'm chocking" stated Natsumi.
Around the guild~
'One heart beat... two heart beats... three heart beats... four heart beats..." a facepalm on Lucas's face has appeared again.'You stupid heart! Why are you beating so fast every time I see Natsumi?!" Lucas sighed sitting on a chair were immediately in front of a garden "Ah, I'm so defeated!" He said wiping the sweat from the forehead of his. "If these feelings were to be true, I have to tell Natsumi" a blush spread on Lucas's white cheeks. Lucas started to picture himself as Natsumi's lover.

Two lovers are walking together hand in hand but the pink haired girl was busy fighting with her other hand. Even she started to punch her blond haired lover because he is a member of the guild.
Lucas shooked his head as he put his hand on his cheek feeling a pain from the fake punch. he decided to go some further. He started to picture himself as the blonde husband and her as the pink haired wife.
"Come on fight with me, you coward!" stated the pink haired to her husband who was sitting on the coach reading a book. Sweat dropped on the cheeks of Lucas. "Come on, I have to practice my muscles in order to defeat that ice bastard". Lucas also shook his head this time more than the time before "It will be painful". He sighed standing up to return to the guild.
That night~
Lucas was wearing a black suit and sitting on the bar together with the ice mage. Gray was also wearing a suit. They excpected this party to be important because Mira asked them to wear important clothes. They kept chatting in different things as the barmaid arrived. Mira gave them a smile handing eveyone a glass juice. "Juice" Lucas raised the glass looking at it "It's not like fairy tail at all!" he mocked.
Mira looked at him "I don't want you to get drunk early today there's a lot of things to do" she stated crossing her hands closing her eyes. Mira opened one eye and looked at Lucas "Also you have to be sober in order to see the surprise".
"Surprise?" The black haired asked removing his eyes from his drink to the white haired mage "What's surprise?".
Mira smirked "You will see" she stated leaving the both with wonder faces. In the other room Natsumi was standing in front of the mirror while looking of how much beautiful she was? Or she was just ugly.
"Do I look beautiful? " she asked the barmaid who was doing Natsumi's hair. She was wearing the dress she brought before with a soft make up that showed her beauty and with a waterfall braid was made on her hair.
"Of course you are, Natsumi" Mira's eyes shined "You are amazing!" She stated making the pink haired blush a deep blush. "Let me remove this hair clip from your hair" Mira was about to remove it from the pink haired hair but Natsumi grabbed the wrist of the barmaid.
"No Mira, I want to wear it" she let away of her hand "It's important to me" she stated looking at herself in the mirror smiling with a wide smile. Mira left to do and Natsumi finally decided to leave to go to the other guys. Mira smiled a sly smile "Is that so?"
"It's really boring" stated the black haired moving the drink inside the glass "Ah, where's Natsumi?" He asked "I didn't see her in the party" stated Gray drinking.
Lucas sighed and looked at the right side. He found a long pink haired getting out from a room. Even though Natsumi was far away from the place where Lucas was sitting in but he believed he saw her very well. She was wearing the dress that she once wore and she was wearing a soft make up and a waterfall braid was made on her hair. Natsumi looked really beautiful... just like an angel she was for Lucas. He spaced out on her beauty appearances and his heart started to beat so fast. 'It's beating again' he thought putting his hand on his heart. 'So this how was it... I fell in love with Natsumi'.
Natsumi glanced at Lucas to find him staring at her. She blushed, she wanted to go greet him but people kept coming to greet her and tell her how much beautiful she was. Natsumi decided to ask Lucas of the reason of why he was ignoring her again this night and she believed he will answer her no matter what.
Gray was drinking from his juice and then he glanced at Lucas to find him looking away. Gray looked at the blond mage as he started to follow his eyes. His breath stopped when his eyes fell on Natsumi. "That girl..." he stated staring at the pink haired beautiful girl. "Is... Natsumi"
He stated not believing the eyes of his. "She sure hide a lot of things" he stated catching Lucas' s attention.
"What? You were talking" asked the blond making Gray look at him from the corner of his eyes. "You have also fallen to the magic of the dragon slayer" the black haired mocked. Lucas looked at him with more serious eyes. "Look at every guy in the guild how he looks at her. She will hate it for sure" stated the black haired mage. Lucas looked down thinking of that day that Natsumi came to him and told him she hated to be the beautiful girl people knows by people and she wanted people to know and admire her for her character not her face. Gray sighed as he looked down "I fell for that magic along ago... but the magic I know is not only her beauty or appearance I liked Natsumi herself" a shock hit Lucas's heart. He couldn't believe it! Was it really the Gray he knows the one who said that he have fallen for Natsumi and along ago?! Was that Gray that appears to everyone that he hates Natsumi?!
"You..." stated Lucas looking at the ground "You love Natsumi?" he raised his head looking at the black haired.
"It's shocking, isn't it?" He gave a soft smile "We have been fighting since we were young but I was never been able to tell her" he said "She is the dense one after all". Lucas looked down thinking about Natsumi and Gray. He felt heartbroken. He didn't know what should he say to the man that stands in front of him. The man in front of him although he is his friend, he loves the same girl Lucas loves. He didn't want to hurt Gray because he is a friend of his.
"When it comes to the feelings, Natsumi will be the most dense one in the world" stated Gray making Lucas feel so down. Gray left the place for a while talking to the water mage Juvia. After that Natsumi was finally able to get rid of these who were coming and talking to her. She decided to finally go to the the bar and talk with Lucas.
"Lucas " she called greeting him with wide and big smile. Lucas were looking at the ground and raised his head lazily. He looked at her seeing a red color over her face and a shy smile curled on her lips. "Umm" that's all Lucas said.
"W-what do you t-think?" She asked in the same shy smile. The blonde just did stare at her. He then looked down at his juice "You with make up or without it is the same" Natsumi's mouth fell open and her eyes were wide. Seeing the blond drink his juice with this cold expression made her look at him in a surprise. She didn't know what was wrong? Was he angry at her? But what did she do to make him angry?
"Lu-" she was about to start that's when Gray interrupted. "What are you doing guys? The music is starting" both Natsumi and Lucas looked at him. Lucas stood up in order to walk. Natsumi was about to say something but she couldn't. The water mage stopped and started to talk.
Mira greeted everyone in the party and started to sing her usual songs and entertain people with the angel voice of hers. Natsumi did stare at Lucas the whole party. All the songs the barmaid sang didn't make her focus in the party at all. She wanted just the party to end soon because she wanted to go ask him what's wrong with him? Why he was treating her with that cold expression? And why did he ignore her the times they started to know each other well?
"Minna.." started the barmaid focusing on the adults of team Natsumi "You know that every party includes the special clause of dancing. Every two couples have to dance together" she smiled at them standing from her place. "Let's start the music" the music started and somed couples started to advance in order to dance. Natsumi looked at Lucas. She wanted to ask him to dance with her but she didn't know how to say it. She stared at him seeing the same cold eyes looking at the people who dances.
"Gray-sama" the water mage called grabbing the attention of the ice mage. Gray looked at her yawning.
"What is it?"
Juvia looked at him "Juvia wants to dance let's go dancing" she stated in a smile. Gray looked away with a bored expression in his face. He yawned again, he didn't want to dance especially with the blue haired. Gray's eyes fell down on the pink haired beautiful mage as an idea hit the head of his.
"Sorry, Juvia" he stood up. "I don't want to dance with you. I'm going to ask another girl" Juvia whined as she heard him saying this sentence.
"But Gray-sam-"
Gray went to Natsumi. He looked at her without saying a word. Lucas looked at him and then looked away to show that he didn't care about what was about to happen. "What?" asked Natsumi in the same harsh tone she used to talk with the black haired.
"Natsumi..." he started looking in her eyes making her feeling him as a weird. "Dance with me" stated him with a dead serious tone. Lucas snapped towards him when he heard the suggestion. Juvia's eyes widened standing far away from Gray near Lucas. Natsumi let out a small laugh "Hah, are you kidding? I'm not in the mood" she stated looking away from his face.
"No... I'm not" her head snapped towards him again. "I'm telling the truth". Quickly, Lucas stood up grabbing the hand of the water mage telling her to dance with him. Before she could answer she was already dragged by him to the crowd of dancing people. Natsumi stared at the blond as her eyes became glassy. Why? Was the only word was in her head?
Gray also followed them with his eyes but as they disappeared he returned to Natsumi again. He looked at her in eyes "So... what's your answer?" He asked again. Natsumi wasn't in the mood to scream or cry she just wanted to bear it until the day ends. She suddenly looked down raising her hand and putting her hand on Gray's hand. And with that, Natsumi was the one to decide to be the ice mage's couple for today.
As they reached the dancing place everyone started to look at them in a shock with wide eyes and mouths dropped. They didn't believe that these two actually are dancing with each other. Mira looked at them in a shock "What's that?!" She said "It's not suppose to be with Gray" she said standing up looking at both couples.
Natsumi was looking at the ground the whole time while Gray was looking at the people who were staring at him. Gray laughed "Look at them" he said making Natsumi focus in his face "They just look like they saw a ghost" he stated returning to Natsumi.
Natsumi looked at her sides and started to get annoyed. She hated the kind of person who only watches what she is doing and focus on her. She looked down angry "They better look away or I will destroy the guild's walls above their heads" she said angry that anger reached to 100 limit.
"Heh, calm down flame-brain you should control your anger". Natsumi looked at him as she started to remember Lucas. Her heart aches again she frowned.
The ice mage leaned to her ear "I'm not your rival today" he stated making her look at him
"Natsumi, You are beautiful"
