Chapter 14: Rock Paper Scissors
Brian had barely gotten in the door when three year old Jack O'Conner came hurtling towards him, catching him easily, Brian swung him in the air.
"If he pukes on you it's your own fault…" Mia said coming into the hall, but smiling all the while as she watched her boys interact
"Ooooh down J-man, daddy doesn't like puke" and he set jack on his feet on the floor
"No But Mommy's thinking daddy looks really hot right now" Mia said low enough so she was sure her 3 year old couldn't hear
"Mommy's loosing her marbles with this baby"
Brian grinned wolfishly at her and Mia's breath caught in her throat.
Brian had been working out in the gym and Mia was a little hot under the collar for her very own cop turned criminal turned domesticated husband. Her 8 month pregnancy hormones making her more than a little crazy around him.
She didn't know what it was but she couldn't get enough of her husband. Wasn't the first time she'd called Letty on the pretence of taking Jack for a couple hours so she could basically jump her husband. Not that she'd tell Letty that, though she had a feeling she already knew but Mia figured both her and Dom owed her, for the amount of times she'd found them in a state of undress somewhere and anywhere between the living room, the hallway, the upstairs landing…. You name it Dom and Letty had been there and got the t-shirt.
She was tempted to pick up the phone when Brian walked past her, winked placed a kiss to her lips and smacked her lightly on the ass. Mia nearly combusted and as Jack ran up the stairs she followed Brian into the kitchen and attacked him, kissing him with ferocity and Brian knew he was screwed. Mia could barely breathe around him and she'd told him so.
Brian pulled away from the kiss, his hand on either side of her waist.
"To what do I owe this pleasure?"
Mia smiled up at him
"Can't a woman just kiss her husband?"
"Miiiiiaaa….you didn't just kiss me, you want me to shove you against the nearest surface and…"
"Don't finish that sentence O'Conner"
It was Dom. He'd entered the O'Conner's house through the back door and caught their conversation
"DOM!"
"What?" he asked utterly innocently
"I have my own damn house and if I wanna sleep with my husband in it, I will"
"That's how you ended up in the position your in"
At that Brian laughed and received a whack to the ribs for his troubles, but the smile never left his face. Letty came in next and was followed by Tej and Roman.
"What's this? A party?"
"Mi, you were the one who invited the crew over, remember?" Letty said
Mia looked confused
"Those pregnancy hormones of yours are making you a bit crazy Mia" it was Tej who'd spoken
"Don't I know it" Brian said, and sent her a grin he saved especially for her. Mia inwardly groaned, he was killing her slowly and he knew it.
"Yea and it's a good thing you showed up when you did or she'd have had him on the kitchen table" Letty remarked laughing
"Anyway, when did we become a "Crew" I thought we was a TEAM" Roman changed the subject
"Crew, Team….does it matter?" Mia replied
"Hell yea it matters, a crew requires a posse and…"
"Right….and this coming from the guy with his own damn plane and group of …."
"Skanks Tej, we call them skanks….." Letty interrupted
"HEY HEY HEY! Young ears!" Mia cried
Speaking of young ears everyone turned when there was a thud from up the stairs followed by silence before little Jack yelled down the staircase
"Momma!" Jack called down
"What's wrong baby boy?"
"Something brokeded!" he said "But I didn't do it!"
Brian and Mia turned to one another
"Your turn!" they chorused
The team shared looks of amusement as Brian and Mia started a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors
Mia won out and Brian shook his head
"Best out of three?"
Mia shook her head, "Oh no….your turn O'Conner"
Brian grinned and headed for the stairs
"And shower while your ass is up there!" that comment came from Letty
"Hold up, I'm coming!" Mia said
"Your ass is staying here, and that was an image I didn't need Mi" Dom said
"Didn't get pregnant by climbing on top of myself big brother"
"Sweet jesus stop her!" Letty made gagging noises
"So wait wait wait you guys never did answer my question" Tej said eyeing Mia
"What one" was the smart assed comment from Rome
Tej ignored him
"So did O'Conner slap that ass or did he like grab and hold on to it"
"Judging by the fact Mia was practically humping him against the counter I'd go for the latter Tej" Letty replied
"Oh God….if anyone needs me I'll be out back!" Dom said, turning for the door
"Lucky O'Conner" Rome said following Dom
